My Geet and Maan are the epitome of goodness. Yes, both accepted their destiny and chartered their own course. Geet was the one who initially worked on her marriage and got richly rewarded for it. Maan and Geet complimented each other well and I wanted to convey that good people will have a good life, even if in the near term it may not appear so for the rest of the world. I remember how many people were upset that Maan surrendered the wealth that was coming his way so easily and many wanting Geet to teach Arjun a lesson for forcing her to lead a life of poverty. Without doing so, both still got a happy and contented life. Money and materialism is not everything in life. From personal experience I can say that when we were newly married we were barely managing to make both ends meet although both of us had respectable jobs but I think we spent more time with each other than we do now although we are economically far better off. I am a great believer in destiny and I interwove many of my thoughts into this fic.Originally posted by: serialwatcher16
Opti,Thanks for the patient reply. I totally agree and if you had not pointed it out in the last updates, it would not have struck me to think about all the wrongs done to geet. She seemed more wronged and still overcame everything by her essential goodness but destiny rewarded her as well. Maan and geet were two good people and destiny brought them together.Geet had the more difficult life and still came out of it shining without being dependent on other people or other people's sympathy etc. She charted her own path and used her capabilities and depended only on herself. So maan's and her self-respect complemented each other. that is what is admirable.
