Crazy Sister!

"I really do love her," I repeated to myself. I turned to my mom, "Mom I have to go. Thank you so much for your help." I gave her a hug and kiss on the cheek and headed towards the door when I heard my mom's sobs. I turned around to find my mom crying.

"Mom..! Why are you crying?"

Hearing that my mom started muttering stuff like, "my kids have grown up," and "I'm getting old," and "I'm going to be all alone," and other soppy stuff like that. I seated her on a sofa and tried to console her. Let me tell you I'm not so god at consoling. I can make a person laugh when they are crying but consoling them is not my cup of tea!! This is Nicky's job..

"Mom I'm not going anywhere. Let my internship get over ill be back at home. Itni jaldi chutkara nahi milne wala mujhse! And its not me who's leaving you and going, its that stupid daughter of yours, nicky."

"Kya kaha.." came Nicky's voice. Talk about TIMING!! She came to mom and I moved out of the way so she could do her magic. She has a way with people'

"Mom, why are you crying?" she asked mom shooting me daggers.

"Hey, don't look at me that way. I didn't do anything."

"Then what happened?!"

"I don't know, she randomly started crying." I was NOT about to tell her of what EXACTLY happened here. Not yet. But guess mom was! In order to save me [or so she thought] she said, "Its not armaan's fault. He just came to tell me he was in love."

Thank you so much mom!!! The moment nicky heard this she started screaming on top of her lungs. I'm not sure that was normal but damn! her screaming was hurting my ears.

"Nicky stop!!" I screamed in order to shut her up. Did it work? No, not a single bit. "Nicky, shut up' stop! Ni.. nicky!" No change. I tackled nicky onto the sofa and covered her mouth with my hand. Didn't she need to breath or something?

"Shut up and not a single word. Get it! I am going to remove my hand now, no screaming." I slowly removed my hand from her mouth. And peace! "You are in love?" she barely whispered. I'm not sure she sounded like that because she was sincerely shocked or out of strain from all the screaming.

"Uh.. Yea. And no screaming!"

"Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god! Its riddhima, right?" she exclaimed at a user friendly volume.

"Yeah." She started jumping again at that.

"WHY are you so excited again?" I asked her. She was STARTING to get on my nerves.

"Well my bro's in love with my best friend. In love!!! And my best friend is in.. nothing. I mean your in love that's so cool."

"You were saying 'my best fried is in..' what? Does riddhima love me too?"

"Psht no! Have you seen yourself in the mirror."

"As a matter of fact I have and I think I am trs gorgeous. Anyways I am going to go now."

"What? Wait you cant just leave. Tell me the whole story."

"There is no story. Gotta go, bye."

The reason I wanted to leave was because I had a DATE with riddhima and I didn't want to be late, more so today. But nicky wouldn't leave me.

"That's not possible! Every love story has a story!!"

"There is no 'love story'. I haven't even told her yet. Heck I JUST realized it myself!!!"

"But still.."

"You know this is not really encouraging coming from my little sister who JUST now came back from a 'date' with her fiance."

"Mom you told him!! How do you always come to know?" she said exasperated.

Well that was true. On two previous occasions when she had gone on a date I happened to have gone to the same restaurant [total coincidence!]. Poor guy abhi was and is so scared of me that he invited me to join them. And how could I refuse their offer?! 😉 So I kind of sort of ruined their date..

I smirked remembering that and said, "Well nicky I always know when you are in trouble."

She frowned at that. I gave my mom a final hug and hit nicky on her forehead and bade them goodbye. To my date!!❤️
