"Sidharth it's me, shayad unlogon ko Shayna ke baare main patha chal gaya hai." His eyes froze with shock and fear... it was like the very space he was standing on was taken away from him, "Mathlab kal uspar hamla hua tha?:

"Hosakta hai. Hume aab sawdhan rehena padega, Shayna ko extra protection dedo... do one thing teen din ke andhar Shayna ko apne ghar par shift kardo." he nodded, "Teek hai... aur collage ko secure kaab karenge?"

"Ek hafthe ke baad do hafthe ke liye collage band hai... us waqth main ho jayega." the on the phone replied, "Let's hope so Shayna ko zyada waqth collage se bahar nahi rak sakte hai."

"Jaanti hoon. Piya ko vahan se jithne jaldi ho sakta hai uthna jaldi nikal dena." the lady added cutting the line, "Aab kya kare princess? Ise zyada hogaya tho kaafi badi ho sakti hai... you've not reached maturity level as yet..."

The girl in quistion sat in a cafe dressed in a simple dark blue t-shirt a white shawl wrapped around her neck. A book in front of her, an open pen on her side and a breakfast of eggs, toast and juice in front of her sitting in the cafe facing the beautiful view of the mountain. He watched her eat the meal... she was alone now. Taking a step forward but unfortunately he reached there before him, "Abhay.... Abhay... Abhay the rules of the games are chaning little bro. The rules are chaning, lekin haan ek baath ka tho muje kushi hai. Shayna is safe at the moment,.. so muje ismain koi problem nahi hai. Hamare jung tho hum baad main bhi lad sakte hai."

"Good morning." she looked up, "Aab kya hai?"

"Vo tume collage ke liye..." she cut him off, "Muje tumhare care ki koi zarurath nahi hai."

"Piya lekin..." she cut him off, "Nahi Abhay main kuch bhi nahi suna chahti hoon. I want to focus on my work now.... muje kaafi mushkil se vo job mili hai Mehera's and company main. Aur haan main koi gudiya nahi hoon jise tum jab chahe use karke phaink sakte ho."

"Teek hai Piya tum jo chaho vohi karo main tume thang nahi karunga. Lekin haan I promise you jab bhi tume meri zarurath padthi hai baas ek awaz do aur main vahan par ek pal main aaunga. I will be there for you!" he promised Sidarth smiled at the statement, "That's great little brother aab mere saath saath koi aur bhi hai isko protect karne ke liye."

Catching her eyes with a small sighn he gave a thumbs up, "Teek hai lekin thab taak please meri zindagi main interfear maath karo."

"Bas ek promise karo Piya. Promise me ke tum apni is angel ko kabhi nahi bologi." she nodded, "Main tume kabhi naho bul sakti Abhay."

He ran a hand through her hair before silently walking away, had he turned back he would have seen Piya wipe a tear from her eyes. He waited till he left and went to the girl pulling the hood on further, "Piya beta."

"Sidharth aap? Abhay..." he cut her of, "He can't sense me, your the one in danger though luv un logon ko patha chal gaya hai."

"Kuch waqth ki tho baath hai. I'll be safe till then.... lekin kab thak Abay se?" he took a deep breath, "Piya tum zyada cheezon ko apne dimag main lene ki koshish maath karo it's not safe for you beta. Tume collage ke liye deer hogayega run along."

Sidharth watched as he watched her go from the place till he turned around and waved to him. What nither of them knew was a third person watching the entier interaction hidden. "Tum ise protect kabhi nahi kar paoge Sidharth. Main ho jai yahan!"

Haseena sat in the Raichand mansion watching the place outside her lands where the river was flowing through. She knew too well that much further down the river there was another place where the place was divided into two, it was in that place where she had once taken refuge in a long time ago. A very long time ago... she still recalled the day when she had gone unconcious with a great amount of pain in her heart. When she opened her eyes again she was in a dark room. All that was there was a bed, a blanket and a small window showing that the sun was just over the horizon. Her dark eyes found it difficult to adjust to anything, all she knew was that she was a prisionor in a terrible place. "Aap uut gaye. Maaf kijiye, hamare paas koi aur kamra thiyar nahi tha. Isi liye, aap ko yahan rakna pada tha."

Turning around she found an old man dressed in a black cape standing there. He had extreemly pale blue eyes so pale. So pale that she could have told that it was silver. "Aap hai kaun? Main kah -" he cut her off, "Maaf kijiye aap ka naam?"

"Ji mere naam Haseena hai... main Shehezadi Shaynathini ki dai ma hoon... thi." There was a sudden shine in the mans' eyes, "Kya aap unke aakri paal main unke saath the? Kya unhone kuch haha?"

"Yehi ke hamare saath dhoka hua hai aur vo zarur wapas aayegi." she replied, "Tho vo zarur wapas aayegi... "

"Vo kaise wapas aasakti hai? Aap ne muje kyun bachaya meri us bachi ke saath muje bhi marne ke liye chod diya hota."

"Vo kaise ho sakta hai Haseena ji... aap ka jeena zaruri jo hai." she turned around, she did not even know there was another man there. There was something about him though, somehting about his dark eyes that seemed to reach into her. She knew that she was a widow and had no rights to love yet she felt her heart beat increase at the site of this very man. "Vo kaise ho saktha hai... HASEENA."

Haseena felt her mind getting shaken form her thoughts, "Chand? I'm sorry main kho gayi thi."

"I can see that, Shyanathini ki yaad aagayi?" he asked, "Haan bahoth yaad ati hai vo bachi. She was my daughter Chand."

"I know Haseena I know what she meant to you. Lekin vo koi sadar bachi thodi thi. Just wait she will return... she will." he touched his wife allowing her to lean agaisnt him, "Lekin kaise Chand? Patha nahi kyun muje aaj kal aise lag raha hai ke vo kai aas paas hai."

As they spoke a light cut acros the river, a light that reflected a lady in whtie standing in that very place with Sidharth by her side, "Aap ne muje yahan kyun bulaya?"

"Sidharth koi tho hai jo Piya par nazar rak rahe hai. Us raath unlogon ne use dhek liya aur use pehechan liya. Uss waqth tho Abhay tha..." he cut her off, "Aab main hoon, use samjaduga. Use nadhi ke us paar nahi jaana chahiye. Main aaj uske collage main ja kar use apne company main le raha hoon. Muje jaana hai... warna dher hojayega."

Turning he ran in his top speed to the car that was waiting for him. Back to the old role of acting like a human. Mount collage, it was at the gate where she stood Panchi Dhoprial, there was somehting so special about that girl. "Aah Panchi shall we?"

"Ofcource sir, maine hamare Principle se baath tho kar diya. He's convinced, bas kuch choti baathon ko aap ko finalize karna padega... use baad hamari interns ko lekar ja sakte hai."

"Aah that is great, Panchi your really doing a great job." he watched her eyes glitter with a smile, "Thank you so much sir."

"Mr. Dean! Good morning tho kahiye aap ko kya difficulties hai?" Sidharth asked the Principle sitting down, "Zyada kuch nahi hai bas program ke wajai se hamari collage ka koi problem nahi hona chahiye."

"Vo tho aap ke students ke upar tike hue hai. What else?" he hesitated, "Ek intern, Piya she stays in the collage hostel."

Once again Sidharth cut her off, "I know about her, acutally main yeah jaana chahatha tha Piya ke guardian kaun hai?" he looked at the records and answered, "Father Anderson..."

"Father Anderson, vohi father Anderson jo St Martins orphanage ke incharge hai?" the dean nodded, "Great, main use jantha hoon I'm sure main use koi problem nahi hoga agar main Piya ke gaurdian ban gaya tho. Aah what else is there?"

"Yeah ek hafthe ka leave wali baath muje samaj main nahi aaraha hai." he added, "Aah that's just to make sure I get to know them very well. Waise ek mahine ke liye is progam ko dhekar hi hum further decitions le sakte hai."

"I understand, main Piya aur Tanushri ko leave dedunga. Aur haan hamare trustie Mr. Jiaswal aap se milana chahathe the." he added, "Mr. Pravine Jaiswal... yeah hai unka card."

"Thank you, Panchi please set an appointment right now. So if that's all Panchi tum ja kar Piya aur T ke details lekar aana... I want to make sure ke mere interns ke marks kaam ke wajai se drop nahi hojay."

Taking the card Panchi quickly went out to make the call, "Hello Mr. Pravine Jaiswal!"

"Yes?" he demanded, "Sir this is Panchi Dhoprial Mr. Sidharth Mehera ka assistant... aap ke sath meeting ke baare main baath karne ke liye..."

"Ah yes Ms. Dhoprial kya aap dhonon ek lunch meeting ke liye available hai?" Making a quick check in his diary she made an entry, "Yes sir we are available, where can we meet?"

"How about the gust house?" he asked, "Sure sir!"

"Any progress Panchi?" Sidharth stratergically placed a hand on her shoulder, "Yes sir unke saath aaj ek lunch meeting fixed hai."

"That is great I think we have time to grab a cup of coffee." Even before she could answer he heard a voice calling out to her, "HAY BIRDIE."

"Uuh sorry sir main bhul gayi thi ke meri brat of a sister bhi yehi par hai, hay Mish." she sighed as the girl caught up dragging Piya along. Misha Dhoprial the girl with a totally different outlook to life and the people around her. There was nothing she could care about and nothing that made her feel responsible in life. After all she was a rich fathers spoilt daughter! Yet when it came to Piya there was nothing that could hold her back, she loved the girl greately. The two hung out together so much that some people commented that they were sisters during their previous birth. "Hi Mish, hi Piya class nahi hai kya?"

"Class ke liye aab bhi waqth hai Panchi." Piya replied, "Hello sir."

"Hello girls, and come on Piya you can call me Sidharth... yeah sir formalities ke zarurath nahi hai." he added, "Sorry Sidharth, aap yahan kaise?"

"Kuch kaam tha... your internship starts next week, one month ke liye full time uske baad part time yaad hai na?"

"Yes Sidarth, mere paas aab sirf ek assighnment karna baki rahi hai. Use kiya tho I can submit and take leave." she added, "Perfect, aur haan I'll be getting your gaurianship hopefully so tume koi problem hai tho you can approach me. After all you are going to be my employee."

"That's great sir!" niter of them noticed the anger that flashed across Panchi's eyes. "Sir we'll take your leave now, hume class attend karna hai."

"Sure, Panchi coffee?" she smiled at him once again... there was always something special about him. Espcieally the way he took care of small things like knowing how much sugar she took and what she liked to have with coffee. Looking down at her coffe she felt his gaize burn into her till, "SID! Oh my god tum collage main kaise?"

Sidarth's smile grew wide, "Maya? Maya De Souza?"

The girl with a slightly dark skin tone and even darker hair attracted the eyes of manny. She had such a clear skin and even more clear features that struck the eyes of practically everyone. Maya De Souza the girl with a great heart and even greater brain. She was hard working and had known to help people through their difficulties. She had an attitude that made her get back on her feet no matter what! The kind of attitude that made Sidharth connect with her, "How are you? It's been some time... tum yahi par padayi karti ho kya?"

"Ji haan..." he took her hand in his own, "Perfect, you know what I'm running a collage internship program, one month trial run and if successful continue on... we are starting with Mount collage. Why don't you join in, muje tumhari assistance ki zarurath padegi. Ofcource you can work as an on and off site kind... what says?"

"Sure, kab join karna padega?" Sidharth begun his explanation, "Tommorow, after collage come to my office. Panchi lagtha hai hume dean ko dubara disturb karna padega."

"I'll give him a call sir." Panchi walked away making the call. A little away Abhay watched the entier discussion with a burning anger in his eyes. An anger that was distracted when Sidharth had placed his hand on Maya's shoulder casually. Seeing her smile he felt his allart go up, "What is happening now? Aab muje Maya ko bhi bachana padega?" His eyes grew wide as he watched Sidharth hug Maya.

"By Maya take care ok!" Panchi too joined them and congradulated Maya, "Tumhare liye bhi clearence hogayi hai. Sir details ko office hum aaj shaam thak mail kar denge, Mr. Shankar is bussy with a student."

"That's great, in that case you can join me for a coffee... " he added dragging her away, Maya too said by to both of them and walked away... had Abay stood there he would have seen her hide before pulling out a piece of paper. The words that she read carefully twice and tore the paper into several pieces and dumpin them into the dustbin making sure they can never be made again.

That very evening she sat near the window looking outside drinking her coffee when Piya walked in, "Hi Maya great tum wapas aagayi ho, loads to catch up on. I'll get fresh and come."

"Ek minute Piya I need you to come along with me for something." she replied, Piya looked confused but did not argue, "Kya tum nahakar aasakti ho? Tumhare liye kapde bhi nikal diya maine, vo loog thode strict hai."

"Teek hai, twenty minnutes." she replied... Twenty minnutes latter Maya stood in front of the mirror pulling on some simple earings. She looked totally different from the mordern yet conservative girl. She wore a simple yellow cotton lehenga with a sky dull green blouse, and a duppata of yellow with green patterns towards the end. A set of green and yellow bangles on her hand, she was wearing a bhindi on her forhead when Piya walked in wearing a cotton lehenga in whtie with a purple choli, a white and purple cotton duppata tossed over her shoulder. Smilling Maya took it from her shoulder and showed her how to wear it, "Aise pehente hai, ek minute pin dalti hoon. Umm ek minute bas choti si bhindi aur chudiya pehenlo then you will look ready."

"Chodiya? Bhindi hum ja kaha rahe hai?" she asked, "Suprise chalo. There perfect she will love it! Come on!"

Half an hour latter Piya found her self near the forest again only this time closer to Sid's place and near a cave she had never seen before. How could she, the path was a little long and almost hidden. At one point Maya took her hand, "Dyaan se Piya thodi slippery hai."

She carefully went down the stairs like space, the whole place felt strange and yet she knew there was someone living there. Lamps were lit all over the place and the place was also very clean. Just as they stepped on to one point Maya removed her sandals instructing Piya to also do so, "Aab yahaan par haath rakna."

Piya touched the slightly darker part of the stone Maya still holding her hand. It was a strange feeling and what suprised her more was when the stone in front of them slid open to a woman clad in a white sari, her palu over her head. Piya's eyes grew wide the site of the woman... her large clear eyes, a touch of dark skin tone and curly hair, "Mama?" those were the only words she could mannage before she fell unconciousness cloud her mind.
