Chapter 3

He was out of her sight now; he stood at his car leaning on it waiting for his Dadima to join him. He saw his Dadima's gracious sight walking towards him he loved his Dadima she was the only living and loving soul for him in this world, as she approached and stood in front of him and said, "Sorry Beta, I took so long to chalein ghar?" Maan straighten himself and felt the urge to hug his Dadima as she hugged Geet. His Dadima's expressions were confused as he parted his hug from her questioning, "What that was for" looks. He just shrugged his shoulders and led her to get in the car. He gave one more smiling glance at the back before he walked to the driver's seat and drove away. He was at peace he knew somehow that it was just the beginning of something special.

Days passed by so quickly since then, but Geet never left his mind, he was in dilemma how to get in touch with her again. He never got a chance to exchange the contact, neither with her friends.

As if someone heard his pleas, his phone rings and he saw Agustiya's # on the display. He quickly answered the call.

Maan: "Agustiya! Hey man how are you? How's the married life keeping you?"

Agustiya: "Maan it's the best part of my life, you won't believe me what I was missing up till now, I wonder why I waited for this long? Anyways all is perfect I can't ask for more. The reason I called you is to invite you to the party tonight; are you busy?

Maan: "No Agustiya, for you I'm never busy. Tell me where and what time and I'll be there.

After the confirmation on the details, he disconnected the call. Now his mind got new question to think over to get some answers. I wonder if she would be there. "Aaah! I wish I could find out." His annoyed mind screamed. As if consoling himself he self-talked, "Relax Maan, you sound so desperate, it's only few more hours and you will get your answer." With that, he got his attention back to his work with the determination to complete before the end of business hours. He was at his best when it comes to his work for the empire he built. Khurana Constructions!

By the time, he finished his work it was already pass 6'clock. Glancing at his work he quickly wrapped up and walked out of his office. He rushed to get home and change. Finally, he was at the venue, stepping out of his Black Aston Martin he handed the keys of his car over to the valet attendant standing at the hotel's car valet. He took his long stride to walk towards the hall. His anticipation was growing more with his each stride. He never felt this nervous before. Why is it? "She is just another girl," his mind spoke. "No she is one of a kind she is special," said the heart. With that end remark, he felt the smile spread over his lips, sensing the moment is just the mere apart, he will see her, however he did ponder for few seconds that what is it in her that he couldn't resist? I mean look at her, she is very quite, very hesitant nowhere close to his class and as he stepped in the doors, his eyes paused on the right figure.
