So after a lot of homework and projects (I'm still not done - ugh !)... I've decided to make a longer update than what I've been updating... So here it is:
Chapter Three:
Riddhima immediately changed the look on her face to a very mischievous look. "Yeh ulloo toh din din chalak hote jarah hai.. Usko pata hai ki main nach sakti hoon.. Aur kyunki main usko indirectly chicken kahaa toh woh aab badla le ne ka irada karra hai ? Hmm" Sid snapped his fingers in front of Riddhima.
He held out his hand and took Riddhima to the dance floor. Riddhima stood in front of Sid and not knowing why, she was very... nervous. "Yeh kya Sid... Main-" Riddhima felt a cold hand slip down to her waist. For the first time ever, she felt uneasy around Sid. [Imagine this song being played: "I Don't Wanna Miss Anything" - Aerosmith (If you haven't listened to it, here> http://www.youtube.com/watch?nomobile=1&v=-WA9Qw0mo50)]
As the lights dimmed and the room turned darker,Sid and Riddhima's closeness was probably no more than an inch. Riddhima's heart rate went a little more like 'DhaaakDhaakDhakDhakDhakDhak'š². Something had happened to Riddhima. She just didn't know what. Even her love for romance novels couldn't answer this. To make matters more... 'crazier' Sid pulled Riddhima even closer. He took in her blossom scent. He enjoyed it too, not realizing this was his best friend he was dancing with. Both their eyes met... A hazelnut with a coffee brown. Riddhima looked away immediatley from those coffee brown eyes... With this, Sid realized what was going on and loosened his arms around Riddhima... Infact, he let her go. "ABE ! Kya gaana hai yaar ? Kuch shor machane ki gaana do na ! " Sid put his hands on his waist and waited for a song change. "Jaldi Karo Na !""Jaldi kya hai ?" Riddhima whispered. Her sudden comment brought confusion to Sid and just as Riddima began to walk towards Sid... the new song selection ("We R Who We R" - Ke$ha) began and Riddhima stopped in her tracks.
Everyone else at the party began to fly onto the dancr floor, but Sid and Riddhima stood at their places, staring at each other. Just then Sue and Naina came up to Riddhima and told her to dance. Breaking the eyelock, Sid and Riddhima 'forgot' about what just happened and danced freely with eachother and their friends. Shilpa on the other hand decided not to dance... She wanted to... But she saw Armaan sitting... And she didn't like that at all. She went up to him.
"umm... Saab log nach rahe hai... Lekin tum yahaan...""I should ask the same... tum bhi toh nahi nach rahe ho..." Shilpa bit her tongue, but at the same time, without thinking, took hold of Armaan's hand and dragged him to dancefloor.
All of a sudden, both of them began to dance with each other. Every single beat and every single move between them felt holy-like. Hand in Hand , Armaan and Shilpa had no idea of their current postitions; chest to chest, face to face. Even without realizations, the two knew they liked it. Shilpa had Armaan's heart thumping , and Armaan on the other hand knew he had Shilpa's heart thumping. Their chemistry was amazing, and the two had figured it out by the time the song ended. "You're not so bad... At least... At dancing..." Armaan left Shilpa at the dancefloor. He was, in no way, letting Shilpa get to him so easily. He was being hard to get, and that was exactly what he planned to be doing. Shilpa gaped at Armaan as he went outside, "Kya character hai... Ajeeb sa munda hai..." Yuvi stood right next to Shilpa and leaned in next to her, pretending to be listening to Shilpa as if she was saying something. "Tumne kuch kahaan?" Yuvi smirked at Shilpa... "Huh? Matlab.. Umm.. Woh..." "Haan Haan.. teri mein woh woh mein tere paas hi rakhna... I saw..." " You didn't see anything ! Kuch bhi nahi ! Armaan aur main toh sirf dance kar rahi thi..." "Maine toh sirf kahan ki I saw... Maine toh Armaan ki naam hi nahi lee..." Yuvi the glass of fruit punch he was drinking and walked back to his friends, winking at Shilpa as he was about to leave... But Shilpa wasn't going to let him leave...
" Oye ! Sunn ! Tune Dare complete ki kya ? Gaana acha hai... Kar le..." Yuvi stopped in place, and looked back at Shilpa, "Screw the betā¦and screw her!" Yuvi stormed off, and Shilpa just stood thereā¦but someone else was aware of the situation that just occurredā¦Naina heard every single part of the conversation, and she had full knowledge of the dare that was put on Yuvi. She walked out of the party and went home. She didn't want to stay in the same room with him.
By now the party was practically over; it was about 1:30 in the morning and only the desi's were left. Everyone was leaving, and Sid, Riddhima, and Yuvi were about to leave as well. Everyone said their goodbyes, and Sue and Shilpa made way to Shilpa's car. Outside, Shilpa thought she saw Armaan. No, she did see Armaan. Why is he standing out here, she thought. She saw him trying to catch a taxi cab, but no luck. Naina also left, so he practically had no rideā¦except Shilpa. Shilpa and Sue walked over to Armaan. " Armaan? You want a ride?" Armaan looked at her, smirking. "Nahiā¦khud chaalijaungi." I see that, that's why you're still out here. Come, I'll drop you." Armaan, Shilpa and Sue made way to Shilpa's car. Sue and Shilpa stood outside the front seats of the car, and Sue, eyeing Armaan, said she'd sit in the back. "Butā¦Sue..ughhh. Saab, aao tohra meherbaani kar ke bet jayenge kya?"
A: Zyaada chakpak maat karnaā¦
Sh: Mujhe koi shok nahi hai chakpak karne ke liyeā¦ghar jaana hai ya nahi?
A: Haan jaana haiā¦tere saath toh nahi-
Sh: Ohhh! Mein koi ehsaan nahi karrahi hoon tujh par. Agar nahi jaana hai to garri se nikal!
A: itna chilati kyun hai?
Sh: Tu itna tang kyun karta hai?
A: Tu jo-
Su: Guysā¦mujhe ghar jaana haiā¦agar tum dono ke jaghra nahi khatam hui, toh abhi garri se niklo, aur mein gar drive kar ke ghar chala jaungi.
A: sorry
Sh: hmph
Su: Chale ?? Pleaseā¦mujhe sona haiā¦
Arriving at a corner, Shilpa stopped infront of Naina's house. " Tum yahi par rehti ho naā¦?" Armaan, stepping out of the car, nodded, and thanked Shilpa. He closed the door and left. A few seconds later, Shilpa rolled down her window, and stuck her head out of it, remembering she had to ask him something. "SUNO!!"
A: Kya hua? Itni xor se chilani ki kya zaroorat hai?
Sh: Chup. Pehle answer karoā¦tum high school senior ho na? Kahan jaa rahi ho?
A: where do you think?
Sh: uhm ?
Armaan walked to the door of the house, and just before he entered, he looked back and yelled, "Carter Wood High School" [LMFAO, I honestly don't even know if such a high school exists in NY, lmfaoooš]
Armaan went inside and Shilpa sat in her car thinkingā¦Carter Wood High School? It sounds so familiarā¦ Carter? Woodā¦High.. OH S**T ! Armaanā¦.Carter Wood High School peā¦mere High school pe? She sighed and went home.
About a week or so had gone by till Armaan's arrival and Shilpa's party. Armaan had adjusted well with everyone, except Shilpa. Their little nokjhoks didn't seem to end. Now there was only a day till the first day of high school was starting. Everyone received there schedules by mail. It seemed like Sid and Riddhima weren't going to have many classes togetherā¦but the classes they did have together called for teamwork. Sue and Shilpa purposely took classes that were the same just so they'd end up in the same classes. Little did Shilpa know that Armaan was mixed in with a few of her classes as well. Naina joined everyone, including Yuvi, at Sid's houseā¦and to her despair, Naina only had AP Math with Yuvi.
Si: Guys? Kaal se school start ho jaygaā¦. It's only sevenā¦andā¦you know, the beach is like twenty minutes away. Who's in?
Sid laid out a hand in front of everyone. Riddhima put her hand on top of his, and, gazing at Sidš³, she says, "I'm in," Slowly everyone joined in, and they were all getting ready to change and go to the beach.
In Sid's roomā¦ Yuvi and Armaan sat on Sid's bed. "Sid? ummm. Humare paasā¦" Yuvi started.
Si: Yes, I know. Here, take my shorts, and you have a shirt. Armaan? Tumhe kuch chaiye kya?
A: Nahi sidā¦I'm actually all setā¦im wearing my shorts, and this shirt's perfect.
Sid shrugged, "if you say so." Sid changed from his jeans and shirt, to his khaki colored cargo shorts, and a tight,body-revealing, white t-shirtš²š. "Let's goā¦" The boys went outside and waited infront of their cars. Sid and Yuvi infront of Sid'sā¦and Armaan infront of Shilpa's.
On the other hand, in Riddhima's room, the girls wereā¦crazy. Shilpa chose her outfit and Sue and Naina did the same.All three of them worse colorful floral dresses, but Riddhima, unlike the rest, decided to go along with a pair of knee shorts, a halter top, and gladiator shoes. [She was dressed in white to be exact...just like *ahemahem* Sidš]
All of them left and went outside and got into their cars. It was almost time for the sun to set, and time for the summer to officially end.
