Hi Niki,

Awesome update.

Loved Shilpa entry and also the convo with her friend tashuuu.

Shilpa's father is dyinggg...Yet another heartbreak, it was so touchy part...Felt bad for Shilpa.

Sid and shilpa thinking abt eachother...Their souls r connected.

Looking forward to SidShi's Soul connection.

But that was soo sad to know that her dad's dying ... It seems she's really attached to her father... soo I can imagine her state

I like how you brought in Shilpa and Riddhima's father too...I also like the new angle you have given to Shilpa's story...

So both SidShi are wondering about each other...cant wait till they meet each other.

Hey guys,
So here is the next part, credit to Jenny for inspiring me write this part. I realised I have a lot going on in the story at the moment, with Shilpa at one stage, Sid at another with a couple of requests in here to see Riddhima suffer. 😆 But despite all that I am really far away from the way I started it and I really don't want to lose the original idea I had for this so basically I am working on getting my plot back again!
Thanks for all the comments they really do mean a lot sorry I don't have time to get back to everyone and thank you for the good luck I am going to need it.
Lennie If only I wanted to make it that easy 😆 A phone it is device I fail to use!

Chapter 9

The next morning, Riddhima walked into Saanjeevni, she realised she had missed something important but ignored it, she walked to the canteen to get a cup of coffee before she started her day. She was surprised to see the projector in there and wondered why it had been up. She was about to ask when she overheard the conversation between the two nurses.
"It was such an amazing slide show by Dr Yuvraj and Dr Tammana, it was so nice to see Dr Siddhant smile again, he has such an adorable smile."
"I know" The other nurse sighed "It is so sad that Dr Riddhima missed out on such a great guy."
"But I have to say I loved the messages everyone left him, especially Dr Shashank and Dr Kriti, they really respect him as a person and doctor."
"Yeah, but it is such a change in him from the intern he was to today, I remember when him and Dr Tammana treated Masiji and then he took all the blame for the incident when both of them were to blame."
"That is Dr Siddhant for you, he is always so nice to everyone, he really does know how to touch someone's heart."
"Well not everyone's"
"What you mean Dr Riddhima? She was too blind to see what she had, doesn't mean that every girl is blind."
"True, everyone that he has meet has never said anything bad about him and everyone that left him a message I am sure would do anything for him."
This left Riddhima reeling, she was stood there in shock. Is this what everyone thought of her, she had made a mistake leaving Sid. Then she thought about the messages what messages and who had sent the messages, she realised there would be messages from Yuvi, Tammana, her dad and Dr Kriti but who else. What did they say? She wanted to read the slide show. She saw the laptop still lying there. She silently went over and quickly rushed to her office to see the slideshow.

Riddhima was reading the slides, she was so surprised she didn't know Sid at all, she never knew what his friends meant to him, who is friends actually were, she never knew about Dia, Tammana, she never knew that Dr Kriti kept him at such a high regard, she realised she knew nothing about him, his life she had never tried to find out she was so wound up in her issues, she never thought about him once. She was never selfish right? In their marriage nothing was about Sid, everything was about her it was always about her, he never said anything, she felt tears prick her eyes, because he had asked her when will he ever become a priority, she never gave him the time of day, were the nurses right had she not seen what was in front of her.

As Shilpa rushed to work as she was late, Sid had just woken up. First time in months he had a day off and he had no idea how to spend it, just when his phone rang
"Sid, listen are you coming tonight?"
"Dia, yes I am coming. Do you need any help as I have the day off and nothing to do?"
"Umm... well there isn't much to do but you can come over and we can hang out we haven't done that in ages?"
"Yeah ok see you in an hour."
As Sid got ready to leave to go to meet Dia, his thoughts were left for another time as he planned to spend the day with his childhood friend.

Shilpa rushed into work
"Cutting it fine, too many dreams about Mr right?" Tashu teased!
"Hahaha, so funny!" Shilpa rolled her eyes.
"I know, I am a comedy genius, but seriously are you ok?"
"Yeah, I am good just a long night. So tired so looking forward to the weekend."
"Amen, to that"
Shilpa got on with her day leaving all her lingering thoughts about yesterday in her memory for later.

Back at Saanjeevni Riddhima was so lost in her thoughts for the day. She was walking back to her cabin as she had a headache when she heard Dr Kriti shouting.
"Dr Armaan, what is this you are no longer an intern, this sort of behaviour is not excused in this hospital." Then the tone in her voice changed it sounded defeated "The current interns are more mature than you. Grow up Dr Armaan, you are about to get married and you have no sense of responsibility or care in this world. This hospital nor does this world revolve around you."
She walked off from there.
Riddhima was going to walk away from there as well but Armaan saw her.
"Basket..."
She turned around and looked at him.
"I am tired of all of this, everyone here looks down at me, all my authority here gets undermined I mean I have worked in this hospital longer, I am sick and tired of being compared to Sid, he is a nobody, I mean what has he done that everyone sees him as if he is the best thing that has happened to this place... Urgh it is just so frustrating."
Riddhima was left speechless but didn't have to reply as her pager beeped and she had to leave from there.

Riddhima managed the rest of the day without any encounters with Armaan, as her day was about to come to a close she overheard another conversation between her father and Dr Kriti.
"Dr Kriti, is everything ok?
"Hmm...yes. Its just so strange to see the new interns a year into their internship, from where they were to what they now are."
He nodded "I know but I have to say they are the best bunch we have ever had, they are smart and clever but they always took responsibility from the beginning any mistake they made, they all stepped up to the plate, I am proud of every single one of them because they have all grown up into fine people."
" I agree sir, but the circumstances around it all has been devastating, I mean none of them deserve anything that happened to them, maybe I have gone soft but I am surprised Dr Siddhant stayed on after everything."
"Dr Kriti, I don't think he would have left even if he wanted to because he has made a commitment here and he will see it through plus he is never one to run from problems he will always face them and that is what I have always liked about him, he will never run no matter how much easier it is."
Dr Kriti nodded then said "His day will come and when it does I think you will be more happy about it Sir, than anyone else."
Dr Shashank chuckled "You are right there, he is everything I want in a son and he has become exactly that for me and I will be there with him with whatever he decides."
Riddhima was still shocked in hearing this conversation, she never knew how much respect Sid held in everyone's heart...

Ok first apologise for the errors and the lack of SidShi but it was important for me to deal with Riddhima and Armaan first I need to get my plot back on track and this is the start of it and to answer your question Jenny yes Armaan does work in Saanjeevni as well.
Next sorry about the short chapter but this was written fairly quickly and I didn't want to make it long because I want time to work on the next part and I am brain dead.

I saw you updated and I just had to read it 😆

Can I say I had this evil sort of smile on my face when Riddhima was going through the slideshow? ( haww... when did I become so cold-hearted 😲 🤣.. )

the gossips that run around in the hospital are fabulous... just like watching a show.. though most of the time you hate it, but it still triggers the action 😆

Now, to what really matters..

I love how everyone supports Sid and holds a lot of respect for him. Seriously, if I had been in his place, I would've walked out a long time ago. But Siddhant has that patience, maturity in him. It's what puts places him above certain others *cough cough* 😆

I'm really looking forward to SidShi meeting now.

very well written. Sid is respected obviously b/c of his actions-something ridz should know. she never acknowledged his love,sacrifice or anger ...always felt as if she was doing some 'ehsaan' by being his so called wife.she is like pendulum...always jumping b/n poles and has undefined mind😡

You know Nikita, recently I read a novel called The Palace of Illusions. Its a fictional take on Mahabharata from the eye of Draupadi. There, Draupadi is married to the five Pandavas, but she loves none - instead she harbours romantic feelings for Karna. Apparently there is hostility between the two; In her Swayamvar Draupadi, owing to the customs and her own arrogance, questions Karna's parentage and rejects him and in return a vindictive and egoist Karna calls Draupadi a wh**e and orders her Vastraharan. Draupadi even curses Karna to a death. But still she continues to love him. She respects her husbands, admires their qualities, satisfies them in bed, begets them children, but doesn't love them in the way she loves Karna.

After reading that novel I realized that one's qualities are not enough to love them romantically. Draupadi's age was different - there was no custom of divorce and that's why she had to stick to her husbands till death, after which she united with Karna. But in case of Riddhima, she had all the doors opened for her. I wouldn't have had any problem if Riddhima had clearly said this to Sid that she respects him but cannot love him the way she loves Armaan. I would have actually respected her. But instead she pulled him back when he was distancing himself from her, gave him false hopes and sent wrong signals for months and then one day after getting intimate with her ex, she realized her Eternal labh. I have hardly seen such a disgusting character in my life.
