~~Chapter 3 - When I Found You~~

Misha woke up with a jerk as she saw the spear enter Raj in her dream, knowing somehow that it was real. She threw her blanket on the floor and flung open the door of her bedroom open, ignoring the sudden chills that ran through her body, thanks to the weather outside. She ran into Kabir in the hallway.

''Thank god you're awake. It's 1, you lazy bum.''

''Raj is dying!'' She screamed.

''What?'' He paused. ''How-?''

''I just know, alright. It must be the soulmate connection or something.'' She ran down the stairs and grabbed the keys to her cars.

Rhea got out of the kitchen, looking puzzled. She raised an eyebrow at Kabir.

''She thinks Raj is dying.'' He said.

''I don't think, I know.'' She yelled, pulling the door of her new car open. ''He was in the forest. I saw him. And the spear..the spear went right in him.''

''In her dream.'' Kabir added.

''Kabir, stop it.'' Panchi turned sharply at him and looked at Rhea. ''How do we know it's real?''

''I don't know, but we need to go with her, for support.'' Rhea and Panchi climbed into the back of the car as Kabir got in the front seat just when Misha slammed her foot on the accelerator. ''Raj, don't leave me. I'm gonna kick your nuts until you lose them.''

''Don't leave me.''

Raj shifted a little. He could hear her voice. ''Leave you? Why would I?''

''I'm gonna kick your nuts until you lose them.''

''What?'' He realised his mental voice was too weak and it couldn't possibly reach her. He slowly went still again when her words rang in his ear.

''Don't leave me.''

He blinked, opening his eyes to the spear in his stomach. He had to hold on. For her.. But it still hurt. Shutting his eyes, he pulled the spear out.

Abhay took her hand and led her to the dining table.

''What's going on, Abhay?'' Pia looked over her shoulder at Abhay who was standing behind her chair.

''I have a surprise for you..''

''One more surprise?'' She rolled her eyes, trying really hard to mask a smile that lit her face. ''What is it?''

''You'll see.'' He gently placed his hands over her eyes, telling her to close them. When she did, he slowly moved towards the kitchen.

After a moment, she got impatient. ''Abhay, I'm opening my eyes now..''

No response.

''Abhay?'' She sighed. ''Is the surprise done yet?''

No response, again.

''Fine, have it your way.'' She opened her eyes angrily to see the whole table lit with candles, and loads of delicious dishes lying on each and every corner of the table. She looked at Abhay who sat on the chair opposite her, grinning mischievously.

''Try it.'' He urged.

She blinked. ''You made it?''

''Yeah.''

She gave him a reaction he hadn't really expected, he expected her to blush or compliment him, instead, she burst into laughter.

''What?'' He crossed his arms over his chest.

''I'm sorry..but.'' She laughed once again. ''I just can't believe that the LORD of the vampire world just made me-'' She took the cover off the dish and stared at it. ''Maggi.''

''That's all I know how to make, okay?'' He leaned back on the chair. ''As you said, I'm the lord of the vampire world, I'm not expected to make food, okay?''

''I'll eat it, stop giving me all that attitude.'' Pia glared and took a bite.

''How's it?'' He smiled.

''Erm. It's like.. how maggi usually tastes.'' Pia shrugged.

He rolled his eyes. ''Fine. Doesn't the word 'nice' exist in your dictionary?''

''No.'' She grinned, taking another bite from the dish.

''Erm, what about .. civil?''

''Uh huh.'' She shook her head.

''Compassionate? Amiable? Courteous?''

''No, no and no.'' She laughed and looked up, he frowned. ''Fine, dramaqueen. The maggi is nice, happy?''

Before he could say something, the doorbell rang. ''Nobody's home, they're off for the Christmas, I'll get that.''

They raced towards the airport. Misha knew exactly where to go. She didn't let anything get in her way. On reaching there, she looked at Panchi expectantly, hoping to get her to influence someone's mind to get a ticket.

''Misha, I can't influence their minds like that..''

''Please.'' Misha looked at her. ''Raj is dying, Panchi. He is all the way in Mumbai. I know you don't trust me, I know you think I'm overreacting, but I saw it. It's real. He's somewhere in the forest with a.. '' She closed her eyes. ''A wooden spear in his stomach and I need to help him. Please.''

Panchi sighed and looked at Rhea, who nodded. She went to the lady to get the tickets. 'Are there any seats left for the flight going to Mumbai?''

''I'm sorry, I can't get you in the flight if you don't have a ticket.'' She answered, not sparing a glance towards them as she rummaged through the files.

''Damn it, look up, you need to look me in the eye.'' Panchi muttered. ''Excuse me, but that isn't the answer to my question.'' She said out loud again. ''Are there any seats left?''

''I told you, I can't get you in like that. It's the holiday season and the seats are already booked..'' She looked up frustatedly when Panchi held her gaze.

''Now..'' She muttered. ''You have four seats left in the plane, and you're gonna give them to us.''

''I have four seats in the plane, and I'm gonna give them to you.'' She repeated, her hands working under the counter. She took out some tickets and handed them over. Panchi broke the contact and walked off.
