hey guys. first of all thank you all for your lovely comments 😃. here is the 2nd part. well this part does come to an abrupt halt, 🤔 but i didnt want it to be toooo looong so ended that way.

Part 2

Ringing of alarm woke up a startled sid, the next day. He tried to search for the clock, in the darkness on the side table from where the sound seemed to be coming. When he completely opened his eyes he was surprised to see that that the sound was coming from his own cell phone. He somehow reached for the phone and switched off the alarm

Sid: hmm..that's funny. I don't remember setting an alarm last night

(Suddenly the lights of living room flickered on and ridz was standing in front of him, near the switchboard. He still couldn't see clearly cause his were still clogged with sleep 🥱 )

Ridz: you are right. You didn't set the alarm, I did. Good morning by the way. (she said with the authority that she always had in her voice)

Sid: riddhima is that you? 🥱 ( he asked while rubbing his eyes and trying to keep them wide open)

Ridz: yup. Now get up fast, we....

Sid: what 😲 (cutting her in between) is it already morning?? Didn't I just sleep?? 😕 (he straightened his head so as to take a look outside the window) see its not even dawn yet!!

Ridz: its winter sid, it doesn't dawn at 6:30. and get up fast we have to go jogging

Sid: (now instantly jerking upright on the sofa) J..O..G..G..I..N..G!! 😲 (he shouted as if his whole world had come crashing down)

Ridz: no........just jogging. I have kept your tracks on chair

Sid: not even at the end of this world'.. ..I don't even get up at this time riddhima.......let alone the fact of going for a jog'(and he slumped back on his bed, oh sorry......sofa!! And tried to sleep again)

Ridz: just look out of the window sid........its such a pleasant weather.........plus I want to get some things from supermarket and I will need someone to carry them.

Sid: hahaha......(yawn) 🥱 was I supposed to laugh??? Which supermarkets are open at THIS TIME??

Ridz: (bitting her lower lip) 😕 ok that was a bad lie (went near the sofa and knelt near it).....i actually wanted some company'.......('you are bad at lying riddhima admit it' she thought) ok.. sid I actually am scared to go alone. 😕 It isn't completely dawn yet, and there are few men at chai stall, round the corner.....they just keep on passing comments.....they are drunk most probably and there are dogs on the road ......even they don't seem to like me, they.......just keep on.....barking. I don't want to go alone... (It was more of a plea, all the authority in her voice going down the drain)

Ridz: sid! (now shaking him)

Sid: (no reply)

Ridz: sid!!

Sid: (snore) zzzzz......

Ridz: he is one hopeless guy 😡 (she murmured before slamming the front door and storming out of the house)

(the deafening sound of closing the door woke up sid)

Sid: did she say drunken men?? That doesn't sound great!!! (he instantly got up and started changing into tracks riddhima had kept for him)

On the other hand riddhima was already ready for the barking dogs. She had collected some stones in her hand and used to hurl them towards any barking dog she found on the way. She was finally few feet away from the chai stall. The men were there as usual. Hence she decided to wait behind a parked car and tried to grasp the situation that would be following next.

Sid was running at his paramount speed

Sid: don't worry. You will reach her in no time. ( he came to an abrupt halt as the single road parted into two). What the heck. 😡 Left, right, left.........oh god where next.......she said the 'chai stall' remember, so left is right 😃 (his face suddenly broke into victory smile) 'riddhima here I come' 😃

Riddhima was waiting for the right opportunity to escape.

Ridz: oh this is good they are looking inside the shop...... they wont see me when I pass them. Run for your life ridz.

She started running with the maximum speed that her legs could allow her. But alas one guy saw her

Guy 1: look bhai same girl!!

Guy 2: she is late today, isn't she???

Now riddhima was distracted. Instead of concentrating on road she was staring at those guys through the corner of her eyes and was already sweating

Ridz: its ok.....its ok.....its ending. see......you are almost there (she wasn't even halfway and she tripped 😕 )

The guys at the tea stall got up from their seats and started walking in her direction. She somehow got up on her own and started dusting her jacket, and walking backwards to avoid those guys.

Guy 1: you need any help miss (he said while simultaneously approaching her)

Riddhima took few steps back and at last looked into the eyes of the man approaching her

Ridz: no, I m fine 😕 (even she didn't hear what she had said. 'why are you even talking? they kind of look dangerous, just run' she thought)

Before she could put her thoughts into action someone grabbed her around the waist from behind, she instantly jerked her head backwards to take a look at the person's face, who had the guts to touch her, without her permission. Though she was terrified at the moment she was ready to slap the guy who had caught her, chudail that she was. But as she looked behind she found herself staring into the set of familiar eyes.

Ridz: sid 😃 (an instant sigh of relief was let out by her, the eyes full of fear were now filled with relief)

Sid: hey my love 😊 (he said while giving a quick peck on her cheek) everything fine.........(now he looked squarely into the face of the two guys) or do we have a problem here?? 😡

(the guys took two steps back seeing fiery in sid's eyes, they were a bit frightened themselves)

Sid: (thinking) no point in fighting, they already have retreated back. Lets end this on a good note. They could have been trying to help. (Out loud) We are good here gentlemen. Thank you 😊. (He slightly pushed riddhima as though indicating her to run. Together they started running. Sid adjusted his speed according to riddhima's pace. he hadn't yet left his hand from ridz waist as he could still feel two pairs of eyes staring at their back. Once they took a turn he let her go and they stopped running. Sid had an irritated expression)

Ridz: your look.........well its not such a good expression.......doesn't suit you (she tried to calm the atmosphere)

Sid: I m angry riddhima. 😡 That's a feeling, you know. (still not trying to calm down). Do you even have a slightest idea of how TENSED I was? if you know that there are drunken guys and barking dogs on road at this time why the hell did you even leave the house? ok and now don't tell me that you were so desperate to jog that you didn't care about these things? and why am i even asking you? you, obiviously as always wanted to prove your point, just because i didnt come with you, you set out to prove that you are oh so brave. Those guys could have done anything. But thank god...... those guys seemed to be helpful. And what were you thinking??? You tripped on a plain road?? Huh???

Ridz: helpful!!! My foot!! How the hell do you even know??? 😡 (Now even she was talking in high pitch, finally that she got the chance to do so)

Sid: hah!! You are a pro at misunderstanding people........I wont be surprised if those guys come knocking at our door tomorrow asking if your leg is ok.......(suddenly mellowing down) by the way is your leg ok? 🤔

Ridz: (the misunderstanding part bothered her but she smiled at his concern) ya'.....😊 its fine'..shall we jog

Sid: ya sure, and ya..sorry......for that..

Ridz: for what?

Sid: for that.......kiss.....(he said the last word slowly). those guys needed to know that i am with you.

Ridz: ☺️ (as an answer she could only blush)

they started with a very slow pace, Looking here and there. Milkman, newspaper guys were rushing on their cycles, to complete their work. Children were standing in queue and waiting for their school bus to arrive. It was a very pleasant weather.

Ridz: i was looking at those guys while I tripped (she started explaining). Waiting for some kind of warning, so that I could be ready if they were going to do something wrong.

Sid: if you are so capable why were you scared to go alone? And anyways what could you have done?? (in a challenging tone)

Ridz: excuse me 😲 !! I could have slapped them..

Sid: 😆

Ridz: what's so funny?

Sid: I don't have a doubt with that slapping thing.......but do you think every other guy that you meet is siddhant modi, to just let you go so easily after having those slaps. No two guys are same

Ridz: (now intently looking at him) 😍 ya I know.....I very well know that now (thinking, 'I know you are different sid, different to have married me when I was completely out of mind, different to have come with me in search of armaan, different to have saved my life when I had accused you raping me, and different in each and every thing 😍)

Sid: (suddenly breaking her train of thoughts) you are staring at me.......

Ridz: (still thinking and staring)😍 what???

Sid: (now looking at her) I said you are staring at me..

Ridz: (a bit embarrassed now....😳 she started looking here and there) oh...its just.....(she didn't even complete the sentence and stopped talking......sid was just smiling at her reaction)

Ridz: (now suddenly excited) how did you find me? 😊 Weren't you asleep? 😕

Sid: naah! I was just pissing you off......I heard what all you were saying......and then..... hey did I tell you the real reason why I came behind you..

Ridz: I thought you were tensed and so you came here to save me....

Sid: no I actually came to tell you that you broke the hinges of the front door!!

Ridz: what!! 😲 (now they had stopped running)

Sid: and that's not all there even were some cracks on the supporting wall

Ridz: huh!! What do I look like??...an undertaker!! 😲

Sid: you would know that better......and even the glass..

Ridz: oh!! That's it..... 😕 ..... I get it. Omg I broke the door!! 😲 ( thinking 'i must have gotten so fat')

Sid: and even the wall......(while trying to control his smile)

Ridz: ya I know.....i.....I am sorry 😕.....I mean.......

Sid: well as long as I get the sorry, which i will consider for destroying my sleep (now retreating a few steps back) I might as well tell you that I was just kidding. (And he started running. Ridz, as soon as she had absorbed what he had said, started running behind him, whereas sid was purposely running slow so that she could catch up with him)

Ridz: (running and yelling simultaneously) oh Mr. modi 😡 I m not going to let you go so easily this time....... I had already started thinking of dieting, wait till I get my hands on you 😡 (she had almost caught up with him)

Sid: I didn't know you were so desperate riddhima. You could have just asked me for it. 🤣. i would have been glad to do it. 🤣 😉

Ridz: aargh........😡

Sid: and this is a race. Lets see who wins

Ridz: this is cheating. You didn't even tell me (she was inches away from him. when she extended her hand and caught the hood of his jacket and pulled him back with all her force. Sid wasn't expecting this and he involuntarily slowed down as she took over him) haa!! How was this for starters?? 😃

Sid: (caught up with her, grabbed her from the waist and pushed her sideways) then this is my answer!! 😃

Pushing, pulling, falling, profusely sweating and panting they reached the gate of their building. Of course sid was the one to win the race.

Sid: yessss!!! I won, I won!! (he was jumping up and down like a school kid and both were laughing at the same time)

Voice: back from school guys? (it was their neighbor, an uncle who was waiting for his driver to bring the car, he had seen how they were racing on road as if they were coming back from school) what are you guys, like 8?

( both just looked at each other and..

Sid: 😆

Ridz: 😆 ......this was the only reaction they could give) (riddhima wasn't sad at the fact that sid had won the race and that too by cheating. she was just all smiles. she herself didn't know why she was so happy and insanely laughing)

Uncle: I even have a doubt of them being doctors (he mumbled the last sentence to himself, while settling in his car) (sid was unaffected by the comments and was still rejoicing his victory)

Sid: ha ha ha......I won!! 🥳(they went an sat on the bench in their building premises)

Ridz: you cheated!!

Sid: everything is fair in love and war!! 😃

Ridz: oh yeah, then what is it? 😊

Sid: what is what? 🤔

Ridz: is it love or is it war??

Sid: (it was his time to become serious , he just kept staring at the ground cause he couldn't meet her gaze, and she was just staring at him waiting for an answer).......
