Chapter Fourteen

Nupur: What are you talking about Mayank?

Mayank: yes Nupur…….my life was not perfect…..I lost so many things….

Nupur: but Mayank your life is so perfect……..you have such a wonderful family….

Mayank: This is not my real family…….

Aditi: bhai….this is your family…..

Mayank: I know Adi………but we can't change the truth na…..

Nupur: Mayank…….

Mayank: wait Nupur…..I'm telling you….first we lived in Calcutta with my maa and Baba…..Nilima Basu and Samaresh Basu….we were a happy family….

Flash back

A Five years old kid was playing in the garden…meanwhile a woman came…..

Woman: Mayu…..ki korsis? ( Mayu.what are you doing?)

Mayank: maa ball……

He was showing a ball to his mother……..

Nilima: assa onek hoyese..ekhon chol khete hobe na……( okay it's enough now let's go and eat something)

Nilima and Mayank entered into the house….Nilima served him some biscuits and milk……..

Mayank: yuck milk……..khabo na…..( I don't drink it)

Nilima: Mayank…..no shaitani……chup chap khao ( Mayank…..drink it)

Meanwhile a man came…….

Man: ki hoyese? (what happen?)

Mayank: baba……

Mayank was going to his father and hugged his leg. Samaresh picked him up…..

Nilima: tomar chele abar dudh khabe na bolse.( your son is again denying to drink milk)

Samaresh: Mayank……you are my good boy……and you want to be like baba…..right?

Mayank nodded his head in yes…….

Samaresh: then you have to drink milk……r tumi jodi dudh khao tahole aj bikale baba tomake mela dekhate niye jabe

( and if you drink the milk then baba will take you to the fair at evening)

Mayank: sotti.. (really)

Now Samaresh nodded his head in yes. Mayank drank the milk…..

Samaresh: good boy…..

At the evening they all went to the fair. Mayank was holding his parents hand. They all were enjoying. Suddenly there was a rush. Everyone got frightened…..someone told that a bomb was planted in the fair…..Samaresh picked up Mayank in his arm and Nilima was holding his hand. They were trying to leave the place… Suddenly Samaresh realized that Nilima was not with them…he was looking for her…..and then they heard a blast…….

Nilima was died in the blast. Mayank didn't understand what was happening around him. His eyes were finding his mother. But she was not anywhere. Firstly Samaresh was taking care of him. Days were passing away…..Gradually Samaresh became so busy and he was avoiding Mayank…..One day Samaresh came with a woman and introduced her as Mayank's new mother……

Firstly that woman looked after Mayank…..but after some days she showed her real color…..she was started complaining to Samaresh against Mayan though Mayank did nothing…..One day Mayank heard that his father was talking about to send him an orphanage……Mayank couldn't believe his ears……his own father wanted to send him to an orphanage………he went to his room and started crying……next day when his father was sending him to an orphanage a woman came with his husband and her three years old daughter to his home……it was none other than Shilpa Sharma and her husband Rajib Sharma with their daughter Aditi Sharma…Shilpa was Nilima's best friend….they were like two body one soul……...when they got to know that Samaresh was sending Mayank to an orphanage they were shocked…….they were trying to make him understand that Mayank was his son…….But Samaraesh became blind……he didn't understand anything……then Rajib took a decision……..he told that they were taking Mayank along with them and on wards Mayank would be their son…….Mayank was coming with Shilpa and Rajib to Mumbai………from that days Mayank was their son……they always treated him as their own son…….they never made any difference between Mayank and Aditi……..Now this was Mayank's family……..

Flash back end

After hearing this Nupur's eyes became teary. She always thought that only her life was miserable. But she was wrong. There were so many people who had more miserable life than her. Her parents never left her… she was angry at them but she also knew that they loved her….But Mayank……his father left him because his new wife didn't want Mayank…Mayank saw Nupur's teary eyes……..

Mayank: Nupur Life is not fairytale but if we want we make it beautiful…..agar main chahta toh isi gum main apne puri zindegi gujar sakta ki meri khudki baba ne mujhe chod diya…….par nehi maine apne gum ko apne khushi ki raste main nehi ane diya……….aur maine inn logo ko apna liya…….and see it becomes my family….

Aditi: ha……maine kabhi nehi socha ki Mayank meri bhain nehi hey…..ab agar bhagban bhi ake kahe na ki ye mera bhai nehi hey toh main nehi manungi…..

Mayank: bhagban ki itni himmat ki tujhse ake jaban lagay…….

Aditi: wo toh hey……

Hearing their nok jhoks Nupur was smiling. She adored their bond….ya now even God told her that they were not siblings she never accepted that…….

Aditi: arre Nupur kaha kho gayi…….dekha bhai apne isse kitna senti bana diya……

Mayank: Nupur aur senti? Combination hi galat hey….tujhe pata hey Adi office main sab kya kehte hey that Nupur Roy has no heart……

Aditi: jo log ye kehte wo sab galt kehte hey…….because I know she has a golden heart…….

She hugged Nupur……

Nupur: Thanks Adi……dekha mayank Adi mujhse abhi mili par usne meri kitni tareef ki hey aur ek tum ho ki sirf meri burai karti ho……..

Mayank: abhi mili isiliye toh nehi pata isko……….

Nupur: Mayank……..

Meanwhile Shilpa called them.

Nupur: I'll see you later……..

Mayank: as you wish….

They all went to the living room where the parents were sitting….It was time that Nupur and his mother had to leave….

Charulata: assa toh hum chalte hey……

Shilpa: thik hey….phir ayiye ga…..

Charulata: jarur……

Mayank: assa maa chaliye main apko chod deti hoon…..

Nupur: Mayank humare pass gari hey hum khud chale jayenge…..

Mayank: toh tum jao na……main toh maa ki baat kar raha tha…..

Nupur: for your kind information maa mere sath ja sakti hey……..hum dono ek jaga ja rahe hey…..

Parents were watching their conversation. They were looking so adorable with each other. They looked at each other and a smile came to their face……..now just they wished that they would agree with their decision………

Charulata: assa ab tum dono chup ho jao……..Mayank main iske sath chali jayungi…….you don't need to bother yourself beta……

Mayank: thik hey maa………ab jo chahe…….

Charulata: toh hum chalte hey….bye…..aur ha app log humare gahr ana maat bhuliye……

Rajib: jarur ayenge…..

Nupur: bye uncle…bye aunty……..bye Adi……

Rajib, Shilpa& Aditi: Bye………

Nupur and Charulata left Mayank's home…………..
