Start at page 3 of this thread and read for a few pages. If that doesn't help, read the last few pages of thread 2. It'll get you up to speed real quick.

Oh, and come on Kitty! Come out and play! And if you can't, at least update. Please?

No sleep, I was up till about 3 am last night again filling in the gaps of SB and am trying to stay away today. No multi-tasking allowed today!!!😃 I really liked the way they portrayed the downward spiral of Kawee, how each incident just took a whole new edge building up on year's of abandonment and resentment. Oh man! the scene where Lee and Kawee are pulling Narin and ordering her to do what she wants was so touching. I must say I very impressed with the director of this lakron he went beyond touching emotions just on the surface and delved a little deeper. I wish some of the Indian dramas portrayed this depth of human emotion rather than endless love triangles.

Exactly my thoughts!! I really thought this drama was very well done. Particularly because after episodes 4-6, I was thinking that there is no way in hell that they could turn Kawee's character around. But amazingly enough, after ep. 10, I was a basket-case!!

Chapter 85: Mehndi – Part 3

She looked at the intricate design of the mehndi on her hands extending half-way up her forearm, smiling. She had never had it done in such detail before. She heard the ladies starting to sing and rushed back towards the room lined in blue. In her hurry, she wasn't paying attention as she rounded the corner and crashed straight into a hard chest, the edges of her palms crushing against his shirt and smudging her mehndi there.

"Oh no…" she squealed right before he lost his footing and fell, grabbing onto and taking her with him as he went down.

He was holding onto her so tightly that she didn't have room to grip anything from the way that her elbows and her arms were scrunched in between them, which was fortuitous; otherwise, her lovely mehndi would have been completely ruined. Once she checked it again to make sure that she hadn't gotten any more of it on his shirt, she looked up.

"I'm really sor…" She paused mid-breath when she saw who it was.

"Dhruv…"

He was sure that this was the first time that she had ever said his name.

"Neela…"

His voice shook her out of her intent gaze and she looked away. She made to get up off of him then, but in her effort all she managed was to dig her elbows into the side of his stomach hard enough to make him wince.

"Oh no! I am sorry!" she started and he shook his head. "It's alright… let me help you."

It was difficult to manage the feat with the mehndi on both her hands, but he succeeded eventually.

"Thank you…" she started to say once they stood, but then something caught her attention and he saw her look down. Her eyes widened immediately and she backed up against the wall, gasping.

"What's wrong?" He asked, but she shook her head.

"What's wrong?" he asked again, moving closer to her.

He asked a third time when she simply looked down without answering him.

"My skirt…" she said in such a low voice that he almost didn't hear her.

"What's wrong with your skirt?" he asked, moving even closer.

"You… you untied it…"

"I what?" he asked in surprise as he looked down. She was wearing one of those outfits like he had seen Aishwarya Rai wearing in that Bhansali flick with a desert and some stupid statue game that made no sense to him. But Aish had looked phenomenal, which had gotten him through about twenty minutes of the movie before he gave up from the histrionics. Neela was wearing an outfit just like that, with a long flowing skirt, a matching top that was similar to a sari blouse, and a long sheer dupatta. In fact, the whole thing looked like a sari in three pieces. On her, it looked… phenomenal…

And then he saw what she was talking about. Sometime during the whole crash and fall, he had accidentally pulled on the string of her skirt, loosening it. And the mehndi was making it impossible to re-tie it herself.

He took a deep breath and closed his eyes.

This was Shiv's house. Senna's Mehndi was going on. There was a Sangeet tonight. There were a million people here. Most of them were related to him. Anyone could walk through this hallway at any moment. There was really no nook and cranny to hide in.

The thoughts dissipated like smoke as soon as he felt the soft skin of her hip bone against his fingertips. Her lips parted on a soundless gasp as he moved closer. Her long curly hair had been pulled to the front and had been lying there against her waist. He took a hold of it to move it out of the way and to the back. But then he felt the softness of the curls against his hands and hesitated to let go.

"Dhruv…" she whispered his name again. He looked back at her face and the expression there told him that he was lingering.

He didn't apologize as he finally let go of her curls and returned to the task at hand, grasping the strings of her skirt together to tighten it around her hips.

When his fingers brushed against her skin this time, her eyes closed in a way that made him want to lean in and kiss her.

"It's tied." He said after a few minutes, forcing himself to pull his hands away from her hips.

She opened her eyes and appeared confused for a moment before she collected herself.

They heard footsteps coming from down the hall just then and she looked up at him, wide-eyed. He looked down at her without uttering a word. When the footsteps got louder, she quickly whispered 'thanks' before rushing away from him.

He watched her until she disappeared from his sight.

Wow Devi,

Cool, can't wait to read more about dhruv and neela.

The brief moment where she closed her eyes and the confusion when she opened them, and the suspended moment between them before they parted ways..... I could feel all of it so vividly....

Thanks,
Khushi

I need you to recommend another one. I took a chance last night on one and it was too 'nice'. barf. I mean OTT sugar. I wanted to poke my eyes out. Apparently my 'heroes' need to have a touch of bad in them. At the very least, arrogance and a whole lot of pride. The one with Yaya was 'cute' and so it was easy to watch. Last night's was just weird. So any suggestions? I'm learning to live on 3-4 hours sleep a night.😆
