Part1 (Geet)
Every one has his own insecurities and Geet had her own,
though she was a sharp mind still she was quite disturbed when she had to give her viva.
Her teachers understood her but what about the externals she has to face;
her life is a mess,
she was feeling low since the morning, today is her only viva,
she opted this course as it had minimum viva-voce by externals,
the internal viva were fine, her teachers understood her and helped her,
she went to the temple to seek Almighty's help.
Her mother was not able to understand why did she fear it, she knew her subject well, she was so capable that she herself could teach it her teacher had only told yesterday when he came here,
please God help her out of this.
Geet tried her level best not to fumble, not to stammer, not that she stammered but today she was nervous,
day after tomorrow are the exams she very well knew she will top, but what if she failed today,
she inhaled deeply trying to get calm, her name was called out,
the teacher patted her back and tried to cheer her,
but she only managed to give one answer out of ten asked,
the external was annoyed and told the teacher he was not believing that this is the girl who always tops,
he termed her as humiliation to the college.
She just stood there listening, her mind went blank, she felt she could not breathe,
the insults which she heard as a kid were screaming in her ears, she closed her eyes tight,
tries toremember all the therapies taught by the psychologist to exercise in such situations but nothing helped and she collapsed.
She opened her eyes to find her mother sitting by her side, and teacher standing by the window, she was in the sick room of her college, and she rose
The teacher came to her and consoled her, and asked her to get ready as he would like to give her one more chance,
he did not want her career to ruin because of this single viva, she mustered courage and followed the teacher,
this time the external was talking softly, and the same questions he asked earlier were asked in a way as to discuss the subject,
she gave in and after initial hesitation very clearly stated her views and
the external was impressed by the knowledge she possessed.
She too leave after the viva finished, the teacher came out and she thanked him with all her heart.
Part 1 (Maan)
It is not that it never happened before, or should he say it always happened,
it was his hard work that gave them such good marks in their group project, but he was the one who got least marks,
as the professor ignored his presence,
how many times he tried to answer the questions asked but every time he was shunned,
now he had got used to this,
not that he was not good looking but he was not presentable,
his thick specs hid his beautiful big expressive eyes,
he was about 5'11" in height not bad,
he was well built but his ridiculous dressing sense hid his muscular body,
not that he minded all this but what he did not understand is that this was effecting his personality and shattering his confidence,
how many timed did NT tell him to change to lens and to wear clothes she brought for him,
but he always remained aloof, as if he did not care,
but he did only he did not acknowledge it.
Maan was a man loved by all his family but his father,
his father never acknowledged his presence always said he was good for nothing;
he hated his eyes as they resembled his mother's.
Maan came to know this when he was 11, he used to wear a rimmed glass similar to his bro Dev, and the two looked like twins,
one night when he went down to take a glass of water on a hot night he heard his father talking to Dadi
that how he hated Maan's eyes, how much Maan looked like his late wife and how much he regretted her conceiving the third time which she knew would be fatal,
he said if Maan were not here his wife Gayatri would definitely be with them.
Maan was shattered and from that day he avoided his father,
he would simply leave whenever he sensed his arrival,
now this has become habit, he avoided every one,
he always refused to attend any of the parties that took place in the Mansion,
he also made it a point never to mention himself as Pratham Khurana's son, he always introduced himself as Savitri Devi's grand son or Dev's and Vikrant's bro.
Not that his number was too much he can always avoid wearing those thick glasses replaced by thin high reflective trim glasses, but he hated his eyes to core and never let any one see them.
He always avoided people, he had many friends, friends who were there just because of his timid nature and sharp brain,
they tricked him in doing their assignments and giving them last minute notes,
not that he was unaware of that but he liked that may be they were selfish still they needed him
Some people came in his life as selfless ones his two bro's who adored him;
got him every thing before he could demand, for them he was their favorite sibling,
then there was NT his loving and sweet sister in law she was always there in times of need,
then her class mates Meera and Rajji, they both loved him and at the same time hated him for being used by selfish classmates whom he termed as friends,
lastly there was Yash Meera's bro and Rajji's interest.
Last but not the least his Dadi for whom he was the favorite grand son,
in spite of his loving family his father's behavior has broken his confidence and shattered his life, he only thanked his stars that the other members of the family do not know that he knew his father hated him.
