PART 19
As the curtains fell everyone except Riddhima rushed to the backstage to congratulate Sid & Shilpa for their beautiful performance.
"Oh my god Shilpu you looked like an angel on stage!!" "Sid, my god you were rocking with the piano!"
The gang was chirping and squealing when Riddhima finally reach backstage. Her eyes immediately fell on Sid who stood next to Shilpa lauhing histerically. When he saw Riddhima staring at him he controlled his laughter with a cough. He tried to listen to his friends blabbering but he was conscious that Riddhima was still staring at him. The little devil in him woke up and he smirked. He folded his hand to his chest and everytime he looked at her he would just tap his lips with his index finger with a tight lipped smile. Riddhima for a while wondered what he was doing. Then she remembered their kiss. She flushed immediately when she remembered how she kissed him at the beach infront of everyone!
Riddhima clasped her hand and turned her back to him right away so that he wouldn't see her blushing. She shut her eyes tightly, bit her lower lip and walked off from there hurriedly trying so hard to stop blushing.
Sid grinned seeing her reaction.
"ehm ehm" Shilpa cleared her throat. "What's on your face Sid?" she questioned him
Sid : "What..?" He started wiping his face.
Shilpa : "I am talking about that smirk on your face! What are you upto Sid?"
Sid pulled her cheeks laughing and said in a low voice "Don't worry Saali dear, i won't trouble your sister much"
Shilpa giggled as she hugged him "you better not! else i'll whack you"

After the function they all moved to the terrace where buffet was arranged. The gang sat together. Sid sat next to Shilpa and Riddhima sat opposite them. Sid glanced at Riddhima every now and then but made sure didn't didn't caught him peeping at her. Riddhima was constantly thinking of a way to talk to Sid alone. It irritated her that Sid is always with Shilpa. As the gang were talking JP & Jiggy came there. They were too ashamed to meet Sid's eye. Everyone stopped talking when the two came. They all were aware how the two idiots ditched Sid and joined Armaan for his Riddhima hunt. J&J stood next to Sid. Their heads bent.
JP : "Sid bhaiiya... we are sorry... please forgive us.."
Jiggy : "Sorry Sid.. we... we shouldn't have done that..."
The two kept apologizing and the rest of the gang except Sid looked away in disgust.
Sid : "It's ok guys.. and of course we are still friends' he said smiling. Though he knew he wouldn't be able to stay friends with them the same way he used to be before yet he wanted to give his ex-buddies another chance.
Anjali was shocked : "Sid.. these Jerks.."
Sid cut her off and said : "Anjali... happens.. it's time to forget & forgive..." His eyes fell from Anjali to Riddhima the same time when Riddhima's eyes fell on him." Sid immediately looked away to JP & Jiggy. Riddhima on the other hand was delighted. She saw a ray of hope in his words.
The gang continued to have fun.
Jiggy : "So Sid..! Where were you all this while!"
Sid : "New Zealand..! What a beautiful place!" he exclaimed!
Naina : "What where you doing in NZ!?"
Sid : "Well i was into photography and a lot more..." he winked
Riddhima was mentally analyzing Sid's words 'photography and lot more!? What did he mean by lot more!' She was tensed.
Muskaan saw Riddhima's expression and nudged Nikki.
Muskaan : "So Sid.. did you meet anyone there...?"
Riddhima instantly choked
Anjali : "Ridzi you alright...! Here drink this." She passed a glass of water.
Sid was trying his best not to laugh but the others were already chuckling.
Sid : "Well actually i did...Michelle.." He smiled sheepishly. "She was so beautiful...! Michelle was my neighbor... every night i used to put her to sleep after taking her for an ice cream." He recollected.
Riddhima kept staring at her plate and fidgeted with the fork in her hand. She wished she could just vanish from there. She just didn't want to hear Sid talking about any other girl. When Riddhima looked as if she would break down any moment Muskaan inquired further.
"Omg Sid so you hooked up with her!"
SId : "WHat! Are you mad!! It's illegal!"
Yuvi : "It's illegal to date someone!"
Sid : "YEAH! If she is just 8 then YES i'll be jailed for child abuse!"
Sue : "What! Oh God Sid!! You idiot!" She punched him and everyone burst out laughing.
Even Riddhima though her laughter seemed more of as a sigh of relief.
Sid saw his Riddhima laughing and his heart fluttered.
Jiggy : "So Sid bhaiyya you are back in Sanjeevani for Riddhima bhabhi..??"
Everyone stopped laughing. Riddhima expectantly waited for his reply.
Sid : "No... i am here for Shilpa"
Shilpa who had mouth full of water spat it all over the place on hearing it. She gulped whatever was left in her mouth and looked at Riddhima. The look on Riddhima's face petrified her. She knew she was dead. Shilpa glared at Sid, her eyes widening every passing seconds. Sid just smiled at her showing all his teeth. Sid : "Yes I am here for Shilpa.. She is my best friend... when she said she is going to join back in Mumbai I tagged along just to give her company." He winked at her. *flashback* 2 days back in Goa. Sid was awake when Riddhima got up that morning. The moment she stepped into the bathroom for a shower he got up, danced around, hugged the bathroom door, left the note and walked back to the hotel were his gang was staying. Shilpa, Sue, Naina, Tamanna, Yuvi and Aniket were talking over breakfast in the room when Sid entered looking dazed. He walked and sat on the bed still day dreaming. The 6 surrounded him in bewilderment. Shilpa cleared her throat "ehm ehm Sid..?" No response. Yuvi held his shoulder and shook him a bit. Still no response Sue came forward, waved her hand and asked everyone to watch her. Sue moved closer and screamed in his ear "SUPERRR BOOOYYYY!" "ooowwwwwww Sueeeee!" That did it. He was out of his daze! He saw everyone staring at him and he blushed. Yuvi : "oooo looks like someone had a gooood night" he said Shilpa : "Tell na Sid what happened..!" Sid broke into his boyish smile and narrated what happened last night. Yuvi : "Ohhhh! And I thought'.!" Naina : "You thought what! You thought what yuvi!" she glared at him which shut him up. The others laughed seeing Yuvi mellowing down to his 'mistress'. Tamanna : "That's nice.. So Sid' what exactly are you doing here'? Shouldn't you be with Riddhima now'?" Sid : "Naa'. Not so soon" he winked at her. After a pause he continued "Okay guys I am joining back in Mumbai Sanjeevani." He beamed. Sue : "That's great bro!! I am soo happy for you!" she hugged him. Sid : "Yeah and you are joining with me" he said to Sue. Sue : "Whaaat! Noo!" Sid : "Why not!" Sue : "Matt'." She blushed. Sue is dating another doctor in US Sanjeevani and a long-distance at the beginning of a relationship is never gonna work. Sid shifted his glance to Yuvi. Yuvi hid behind Naina. Naina shook ker head to say no. His eyes fell on Tamanna. Aniket hugged her from behind and together they said no. Finally his eyes fell on one person who knew him so well that at times they didn't even have to interact; just one look and they would understand what's in the other person's mind. He smiled widely at Shilpa. Shilpa : "No Sid'" she looked away. Sid : "Why not!! Please Shilpa'! See I know you will eventually agree then why are you making me beg to you'? Please' my cherub'?" He made his adorable puppy face. Shilpa : "But Sid'" Sid : "Shilpa' common' besides Nick will be in Mumbai' you know you should really start seeing him' He seems to be a very nice guy" he winked. Nick & Shilpa had really hit it off well in their first date. But Nick would be mostly in Mumbai & Bangalore looking after his father's empire. Nick's dad owns a chain of resorts all over India & abroad and Nick is following his dad's footstep and making a mark of his own. Since Nick took over the business in India the profit has made a 30% jump in two years and to maintain that and accomplish further he had to be in India. On the other hand Shilpa did not want to move back to India to be with this guy whom she has dated only once. No matter how hot he looked or genuine he is. Besides she didn't want to rush into anything after what happened with Armaan. So both Nick & Shilpa had parted in good terms. Sid : "Don't think so much cherub" He went and hugged her. He broke his hug and looked at her once again for confirmation. Her smiled said it all "Thank you thank you thank you sooo much!!" he hugged her again and the rest of the gang joined the two and they signed the pact with a group hug. *end of flashback* Sid : "I know what you are thinking' no need to thank me Shilpu'" He gave her a side hug. Shilpa gritted her teeth and faked a smile at Sid. Riddhima was burning and looked like she would explode any moment. The fork in her hand has now bent into a 'U' shape. Shilpa did the mistake of looking at Riddhima and she felt the heat from the fire in her eyes as she thought 'Oh god' Look what Sid has got me into'' To be continued....! 😳
