A wonderful update. Thanks so much.
I know this is a Maan + Geet = Maneet only FF and Sameer is just in this FF for a twist.
But I want to talk about this in a real life situation.
I can say with 100% certanity that thousands of girls go throught the same situation as Geet does whether it is in India or any other countries in the world...cus a woman has always been opressed by men.
Lets just say if Maan was not in the picture, I would still feel sad for Geet cus she went through so much in the early years of her life, forced to marry first of all a guy like Rahul, secondly not taken seriously for her love for Maan, third Maan just rejecting her....for marriage proposal, then Savtri devi thinking well if not Maan den Dev....and in the end when she wants to live for her life...every single person blaming her....
She has not had an opportunity or chance to experience love n care.
N now that Sameer has proposed to her..I feel that the Geet in this FF has made a compromise under the feeling of obligation. Sammer brought happiness in her almost dead life, he brought a new ray of sunshine in her everyday darkness...n so she feels that she should say yes to him. She does not want to hurt and disappoint him and she is willing to plunge into the unknown waters of this so called relationship called marriage with Sameer.
Even though she came far away ...thousands of miles from HP to be independent, confident woman..here once again she has chosen the RIGHT things to do as per our societal norms instead of listening to her heart. Her heart might flutter for someone else, but since there is no hope...she has decided to just accept what is in front of her as her destiny...n that is what makes me sad.
