Part 6
It was almost midnight now and Geet just couldn't fall asleep. She kept thinking back to the moments spent with Maan. How he had picked her up, how he was being overprotective on the train, How he had dressed her wounds, she touched her ankle and then noticed that her gold bracelet wasn't on her hand.
She got worried and looked around. She was about to cry, that bracelet meant a lot to her. Her elder sister had gifted it to her on her 16th birthday. It had proven to be a good luck charm for her and now it was lost. She tried to think back about where it could have gotten lost and then thought maybe somewhere in the park or on the train. She was really upset cuz it looked like she wasn't ever gonna get it back now.
As she was thinking about the bracelet, Trish and Sharon came back.
Sharon: Geet how's you foot now?
Trish: Tu theek toh hai?
Geet was kind of lost in her own world making a sad face.
Trish: Tu worried kyun lag rahi hai? Aisa kya kardia Maan ne, hmm hmm? she winked
Sharon: Kya hua Geet?
Geet: Woh mera bracelet, it it got lost, she said dejected and on the verge of crying. I think I think I lost it at the rink or something.
Trish: Aww babes, she said hugging her, don't worry, agar milna hoga toh miljayega, you don't think about it too much.
Sharon: Yea I am sure It'll come back to you.
Geet: Thanks guys just hoping kisi tarah wapis miljaye you know what it meant to me na?
Trish: Yea we know, bas tu worry na kar, aur bata, Maan ke saath kya hua.
Geet smiled: Maan ke saath.
Trish: Uff ho sharmarahi hai, kya hua bata na.
Geet: He is too sweet, usnay mera puri tarah se khayal rakha, gave me first aid and all, she said showing them her foot.
Trish: OMG phir toh woh tera paas aya hoga yun'she said grabbing Geet by the shoulder and almost on top of her. Aur phir dhadkane bari hongi, saasein rukhi hongi'haina?
Geet: OMG aisa kuch nahi hua!!
Trish: Oh God ek jawan ladka aur ek jawan ladki alone in a room, aur kuch nahi hua, uff!!!! She said pulling her hair out.
Geet: Jab koi shareef ho na toh aisa kuch nahi hota, samjhi.
Trish: Tu nahi jaanti jana, yeh sab ladkay shareef bantay hai, hotay nahi hai.
Sharon: Ahh that's not true, Jai is very shareef haan.
Trish: Kyunke tu becharay ko kabhi chance hi nahi deti..she laughed. Anyway Geet aur bata na kya hua.
Geet: Kuch bhi nahi hokay sab kuch hogaya aisa lagtha hai..
Trsih: Wah wah..toh tu phir usay kab milrahi hai.
Geet: Umm we r going out on Sunday'he said tomorrow but I said Sunday since we are going shopping tomorrow..
Trish: OMG Geet, he asked u out on a date?!! Aur tu apni marzi chala rahi hai, uff kal hi chali jati..chal anyway at least you going Sunday..we'll buy a hot dress for you to wear to the date ;)

Next day Saturday, Trish had sent out the emails through Elfster and now everyone knew who they were Secret Santa for.
Trish had played a trick and on purpose had made Maan and Geet have each other as Secret Santa.

When Jai checks his email on his Blackberry and finds out he got Trish he freaks out!!
Jai: Ohhh nooo!!! Yeh hi milni thi kya!! I don't even know what to get her,I know whatever I get her she will pakka go crazy anyway'ahh think think Jai..oh idea let me call Vicky.
Vicky on the other hand was discussing things with Maan.
Vicky: So Maan who'd u get for that secret santa thing?
Maan: Ahh I got Geet! He said kind of ecstatic, he had the perfect gift in mind. He coughed.
Vicky: Wow man you seem happy, kya chakkar hai huh? Btw are you alright? Coughing and all
Maan: Yea just a little itchy throat I think and naahh nothing like that dude..you tell me who'd u get?
Vicky: Haha I got Jai, I already know what to get that hopeless guy!!
The girls meanwhile are shopping for their stuff.
They were at the mall and Geet didn't know what to buy for Maan.
Geet: Trish what can you give a guy?
Trish: Well well well missy there are lots of things you can give a guy ;) if you know what I mean
Geet: Uff, I mean as a gift! Tu na always thinking in the wrong direction.
Trish: I guess perfect thing is clothes or some tickets for games or whatever.
Geet: Oh I don't even know what sports he is into or anything, I'll just get him a shirt.
Trish knew what she would get for Sharon but it wasn't something she would find at the mall.
Sharon on the other hand was contemplating what to get Vicky.
Trish: What's up Sharon?
Sharon: Trish I really don't know what to get for Vicky.
Trish: Well you have the perfect person to ask right next to ya. So she helped Sharon pick out something for Vicky.
They wanted to get a dress for Geet for the date, but Geet kept on refusing as Geet didn't want to buy any of the dresses Trish were suggesting, which obviously were very revealing.
Geet after Trish showed her a backless black gown.
Geet: Come on Trish, it's not my prom or anything!! And please I would never wear that. Seriously we don't need to do this, , I will wear something good, my wardrode is full.
After a long argument, Trish finally let Geet off the hook.
After a long day of shopping Saturday, it was finally Sunday.
Geet got up took a long shower and made sure she looked perfect today for the date.
Trish was up watching a football game. It was 12 PM and they were supposed to go out in the afternoon, but Maan hadn't called.
Geet: Trish abhi tak Maan ka phone nahi aya.
Trish: Woh busy hoga, he is probably watching football..you know these guys and their football craze especially Sundays!!! And plus NY Giants playing today they need to win this came to get into the playoffs.
Geet: I just can't believe you are interested in this stuff!! How can you watch these man tackle and fall on top of each other constantly?
Trish: Uff ho toh missy chahthi hai ke koi ladka unkay upar yun giray, acha samj gayi main, she winked.
Geet: Whatever and she rolled her eyes.
Geet waited some more but Maan didn't call, she texted and called him several times but no reply. She was worried.
Trish: Tu ek kaam kar, go to his apartment. I mean his building not too far from here, go and see what's up with him.
Geet: Yea, good idea I'll do that.
So Geet walked a block over to Maan's place and knocked on his door.
Maan: in a croaky voice: Aaja Vicky.. but apparently Vicky wasn't gonna come since Trish had called him over.
Geet entered the apartment which was quite clean. She knocked on his bedroom door and stepped in.
He looked up and was shocked to see her.
Maan: Geet? Tum?
When she heard his voice like that she got all worried. She walked up to his bed.
He sneezed.
Geet: OMG are you ok? She said checking his pulse and forehead. OH my you have a fever.
Maan: Geet I am so sorry I couldn't come over to your place and'
Geet put a finger on his lips: You just stay quiet, your health is more important ok. And this is all my fault!! You gave me your scarf that night at the park and now you have a cold!! I feel so bad.
Maan: Geet relax, it's ok!
Geet: No it's not I am going to have to do something.
She gets up and gets a wet cloth to put on his head. When she is coming back she trips on his blanket, which is half reaching the floor. She falls on top of Maan and in trying to get the blanket off she ends up getting more rolled into it.
Maan: You really love falling on me now don't you?
Geet blushed and tried to get up and in her attempt bumped her head into Maan's.
Geet: OMG OMG sooo sorry she said rubbing his forehead.
She tried to get up again but the blanket was too wrapped around her.
Maan: Let me help. He held her around the waist and unraveled the blanket from around her.
Geet: Thanks and she got up, flustered...feeling awkward at his touch...
