"Geet, are you not feeling hungry? It is 1.30 p.m. and I'm feeling ravenous."

"Sorry, Maan. I got caught up in my work. Will join you in a couple of minutes," she said and hurriedly shuffling her papers, she kept them aside before leaving.

"Securing the latch," he replied coolly as he turned back and flashed her another charming smile.

"So that we are not disturbed," he said matter-of-factly.

"Not disturbed from what?" she asked skeptically. He did not respond but slowly approached her, his eyes glazed with desire.

Geet backed away slowly but he continued to approach her resolutely. She hit the table and couldn't move any further when he was inches from her. She looked around uncertainly for couple of seconds before suddenly catching both his wrists in her hands. She looked directly into his eyes and resting his large palms on her waist, she pulled him towards her till his body was pressed against hers. Appalled by her action, Maan jerked his hands free and holding her by her shoulders, he gently pushed her aside.

"Geet! What are you doing? This is office, not our bedroom," he exclaimed as he hurriedly turned away from her to regain his composure and nervously straightened an already straight tie.

Geet burst out laughing, seeing his flustered expression and said, "Maan, I know that this is office and you wouldn't cross your limits here but I had to call off your bluff. You thought that you could tease me and make me go weak in my knees with those passionate looks and purposeful gait, did you? Well, I just wanted to show that I am more than capable of not only handling your passion play but also turning the tables around in a jiffy. Now who was the one who backed out?"

"I surrender, Madam. You are smarter than I thought you were. But you have to admit that for a minute there I really had you stumped."

"Oh! Yes, you did, but not half as much as I stumped you. You should have seen the expression on your face just now!" she teased, trying hard to stifle her laughter with her hand.

Maan was getting irritated with the leg pulling and said brusquely, "Now if you are done with your laughing, can we proceed to have our lunch? I'm really feeling hungry."

"Sorry, Maan. By the way, why did you latch the door?" she asked curiously.

"So that we can have our meal in peace without any intrusion," he said as he led her to the sofa next to the side table and quickly unpacked the food.

Geet picked up one of the two plates lying on the table and served the food on it. She set it aside and was about to pick up the other plate when Maan stalled her, saying that one plate will do for both of them. Geet shyly nodded her head and took a morsel of food towards her mouth. Before she could complete the action though, Maan held her wrist and dragging her hand towards his own mouth, he took the food from it. He then took another morsel of food and proceeded to feed his wife.

During the next ten minutes they fed each other and at the end of the meal Geet had a gulp of water and let out a loud belch. As she quickly covered her mouth in embarrassment, Maan smiled at her fondly and got up to rinse the plate before putting it away along with the hot pack.

"I feel so full and drowsy, Maan," she sighed as she stretched out her legs in front of her and leaned back her head on the back rest.

"Then why don't you take a nap?" asked Maan.

"Here? At the office?" she asked in amazement.

"Why not? I am the boss and I am ordering you to take a nap. You deserve it after your hard work this morning."

"But..." she hesitated.

"No buts," he said firmly as he strode back to the sofa. Sitting next to her again, he slipped an arm around her waist. Drawing her towards him, he rested her head on his chest, right over his heart.

"You rest while I work," he said and leaned over to pick up a file from the table.

Turning her head up, she looked at him fondly as he got absorbed in the file. Sensing her fixed gaze on him, he turned his attention to her. He kissed the top of her nose and whispered, "Sleep, my love."

She smiled and snuggling up close to him, she shut her heavy lids and promptly went to sleep. During the next twenty minutes, Maan diligently worked, while Geet peacefully slept, lulled as she was by the steady thumping of his heart.

Having rested well, Geet finally awoke and looked up at Maan. Disturbed by the sudden movement, Maan looked down at her and seeing the drool which had escaped from the side of her lips, he smiled at her indulgently. She looked confused and raised her eyebrow in silent query as to what was it he found amusing. He pointed to the drool and she quickly raised her hand to feel the wetness near her chin. Embarrassed by her unconscious act in sleep, she was about to wipe it away but was stopped from doing so by his firm hold on her hand. He took out his handkerchief from his hip pocket and gently dabbed at the dribble till her face was dry again, his eyes never leaving her lips for a moment. Her face flushed at the intimacy of the moment and she quickly looked away. Getting up with a start, she said that she has to return to her work before people at the office start wondering what they were up to behind locked doors.

Maan stopped her and said, "Wait!" He then got down on his knees before her and placing his hand on her tummy, he caressed it lovingly and said, "Baby, your mom does not understand the meaning of taking things slow. She wants to work in jet set speed as though everything needs to be settled today itself. Don't let her do that and deprive you of your rest. Whenever she overworks herself and you, you give her a nice hard kick on her tummy so that she is reminded that you are around and she needs to take care of your interest too."

Geet smiled at Maan's indirect admonition of her impatience in discharging her duty. She held the back of his head in her palm and raised him up. As he straightened up, she promised to take things slow and walked towards the door. Unlatching the door, she turned around to blow him a kiss which he caught and slid into his pocket. He kept smiling blissfully even after she disappeared from sight.

That was quite an amazing update:-) loved d way she turned the table. Its high time maan realises his wife is smarter than him;-) loved the whole cleaning d drool scene:-)

Thanks. Yes, Sasha was shown her place and Tasha was given more responsibilities. Lets see how Maan reacts to the singer's interaction with his wife. Will let you know when I update next but will you add me to your buddy list so that it is easier for me to send you the PM?
