Riddhima trotted out of the bedroom and went downstairs still anger washed on her face. Sid slowly came downstairs cupping his hand over his mouth to stop laughing. Just then Shilpa came to them.

Shilpa: hey guys come out! We're having barbecue!

Sid: wow!!! And who's doing it?

Shilpa: obviously the cook.

Sid: oh.

Shilpa: we're having so much fun. Come quick!

Then Sid, Riddhima and Shilpa go to the gang where they were sitting near a big bonfire, it was quite cold. Riddhima kept rubbing her shoulders as the sharp chilly wind kept blowing quietly. Riddhima looked at Sid and Sid looked at Riddhima. Riddhima kept looking at him with puppy eyes and Sid let out a sigh and round his arms around her and tried to keep her warm. Riddhima found the chance took all her might and gave a big punch on his belly.

Sid: (cough) (cough) what the hell was that?!

Riddhima: that was for lying to me, and showing as if none of that mattered.

Sid: oh my god. (cough)

Riddhima: ab bas karo, itna natak tumhe suit nahi karta.

Sid: natak. You punched me in my gut, aur tum puch rahi ho ki main natak kar rahi hoon? Hea bhagwaan kaisi biwi diye ho tumne mujhe?

Riddhima gives him a tight kick on his shin and left Sid hopping on the ground holding his leg.

Sid: tumhari problem kya hai??!!!!!!

Riddhima: you're my problem. Aur yeh problem main koshish karke bhi theek nahi kar paa rahi hoon.

Sid: aur kar bhi nahi paoge.

Riddhima: koshish kar rahi hoon, aur karta rahunga.

Sid: acha meri maa tumhari mann me jo aaye kar lena. Theek hai?

Riddhima: hehehehe.

Sid: what?

Riddhima: meri mann me jo aaye.

Sid: nothing of that sort, okay?

Riddhima: something of that sort.

Sid: (sigh) whatever.

Sid goes to where the gang was sitting and sat there.

Sid: hey guys what's up?

Nikki: just singing songs.

Sid: really? Which song?

Abhi: any songs.

Just then Riddhima came and sat beside him.

Abhi: Hey JP tu gaa.

JP: main? Theek hai. (clearing throat) Apni toh jaise taise

Sid: (laughing)

Shilpa: are Suhaas. Please gao.

Suhaas: theek hai.

Suhaas takes the guitar from Yuvi and starts playing. He slowly turned towards Shilpa, but Shilpa didn't understand that he was dedicating the song to her. Shilpa looked at him with dreamy eyes. She slowly rested her chin on her right hand, and listened to him with great attention.

Suhaas: thanks bhaiyya.

Shilpa(with dreamy eyes): yes...you can sing.

Suhaas:...thanks.

Aanchal: okay, now Sid it's your turn.

Sid: okay.

Sid takes the guitar from Suhaas and starts playing. And Riddhima looked at him with utmost attention.

Then everyone starts to clap. Just then the cook comes to them.

Cook: khana lagwa diye hai

Sid: yes i'm hungry. Chalo chalte hai.

Then everyone goes inside the house to have a hearty dinner.

It was 10:00 p.m. and all the girls were chit chatting where the boys were outside for a stroll. The girls were talking about their love life.

Shilpa: acha Nikki di? Aapka Abhi ke saath kaise mulakaat hui?

Nikki: hea bhagwaan! Bohot lambi kahani hai. Main toh intern thi aur woh humara senior doctor. Uska gussa sirf naak pe charti thi. Short me kahoon toh humari larayi hui, aur dheere dheere larayi se dosti hui, aur dheere dheere dosti se pyaar. Aur aaj main yahan hoon. Uska patni. Aur tum? Tumhari koi love shove?

Shilpa: (chuckles) mujh jaise badkismat aurat se kaun pyaar karega?

Riddhima's smile came to a halt. She knew what she was talking about.

Riddhima: aisa mat kaho Shilpa. Mujhe dekho. Maine apni pure zindagi yeh sochkar betha raha ki Armaan hi mera sacha pyaar hai. Lekin sanjog meri liye kya plan kiya tha, yeh toh mujhe maloom nahi tha. Sanjog ne Sid ko meri zindago me bheji, uss waqt aayi, jab mujhe ek sahaare ki zarurat thi, ek dost ki zarurat thi. Lekin main ek aise mor par khari hui thi jab mujhe meri beete hue kal aur meri aaj ke beech chunna para. Sid ka pyaar ka ehmiyaat samajh me nahi aayi, aur jab samajh me aayi, tab bohot der ho gaya tha. Lekin kismat ne phir se ek mauka di, Sid a pyaar banne me. Lekin yeh Sid, bhurtar kahikka! Paas hi nahi aane dete.

All: awww!!!!!

Aanchal: koi baat nahi, woh toh humesha se hi pyaar karte the.

Riddhima: acha haan! Tumhari koi love shove toh nahi thi? Houston me pali bari ho, koi toh ladka hai tumhare liye.

Aanchal: hmm...zindagi me maine sirf ek baar hi pyaar kiya tha. Lekin aap sunne ke liye tayyar ho?

Riddhima twitched her eyebrows.

Riddhima: kyun? Mujhe sunne ke liye tayyar kyun hona parega?

Aanchal: kyunki iss me aapka Sid involved hai.

Riddhima felt like her heart stopped. Shilpa got a bit shocked and so did Sue, Naina, Anjali and Nikki.

Riddhima: batao.

Aanchal: yeh hua tha jab main Sid ke saath high school me parti thi. Grade 10 par. Sab ladkiyan Sid ke piche bhagti thi. He was the cutest and hottest guy in the school. Main bas class 10 par admit hui thi. But i was blind. I still remember, i came inside the class, walking with a stick. I heard the teacher introducing me to the students, and i could hear some students gossiping about my blindness.

Riddhima: oh my god.

Aanchal: then the teacher made me sit beside Sid. I moved my hand forward to him for a handshake, and i still remember, i could feel his hands trembling. I instantly knew that he was feeling nervous, and sorry. Time and time again he used to lash out on the students who used to gossip behind my back. Whenever i used to fall down, he was always there to catch me.

Riddhima fisted her hands to a ball. Her breathing became heavy.

Aanchal: we started to become good friends. I came from a very poor family. But it was my dream to study in Houston. Then i got to meet Sid's family. We were the best of friends, and i still remember that a lot of girls used to get jealous for me being too close to him. Then an idea came in his mind. He knew my family and he thought, by the support of his family, i could get an operation and get my eyes fixed. When he came to me with that proposal, i suddenly began to feel immense respect for this guy. Itna fikr toh meri bhaiyya bhi nahi karti thi. Then i started to feel something for him. His family agreed and i started to have hopes of seeing the world clearly. He gave me so many moral support the day of my operation. His mom said to me, that when the doctor said that everything is okay, he jumped in excitement so hard that everyone became standstill. (chuckles) And when the time the doctor started to remove the strips off from my eyes, the first face i saw was Sid's. And i felt like my heart began to beat so fast. No wonder girls were so fida over him.

Riddhima: (chuckles)

Aanchal: he began to say, "Aanchal?! Aanchal?! It's me Sid!!" Pagal. He was so excited. But when i started to look at him closely, my heart skipped a beat. I jumped on him for a thank you hug. And i still remember, we hugged each other for a long time. He was my knight in shining armour.

Riddhima(thinking): mine too.

Aanchal: I started to fall in love with him. But when i told him about my feelings, he said that he only looks at me as a good friend. He said he is still waiting for a true love. I was heartbroken, yes. But i was happy for him. Those days were teenager's time. Anyone can fall head over heels in love. But when i look at you Riddhima, i really envy you. You have such a man in your life that woman don't find so easily. Now i understand why people love him so much. It's because of his character.

Riddhima: yes Aanchal. That's precisely why i love him. My god! He gave you the ability to see?

Aanchal: yes.

Nikki: when he was only a kid?

Aanchal: yes.

Naina: my god.

Aanchal: and now, we're the best buddies ever!

Shilpa: wow.

Riddhima: unbelievable.

And they kept talking about their love life to each other.

It was 11:00 p.m. and Sid went to his room. When he entered he saw Riddhima changing to her night gown behind a wooden stand on the corner of the room. He slowly closed the door without removing his eyes from her. He could see her through the small holes of the stand. Her silky hair flowing through the breeze, her smooth skin inviting him towards her, he felt as if he's stopped breathing. She slowly put on her night gown and came out of the stand. Sid came out of his dreamland and became cautious. When Riddhima saw Sid, a small smile crept on her lips. She knew Sid would see her. Riddhima looked at him with her eyebrows raised, questioning him.

Sid: what the...why are you looking at me like that?

Riddhima: why were you looking at me?

Sid: i wasn't looking at you.

Riddhima: jhoot bolna toh koi tumse sikhe!

Sid: sach me main tumhe nahi dekh rahi thi. Are tumpar aisa kya hai jo main dekhti reh jaun? Heh!

Riddhima: you know what...main thak gayi hoon, tumhe sabit karte karte main thak gayi hoon.

Sid: then so jao.

Riddhima: hmph!

Sid(imitating): hmph!

Riddhima trots away to the bed and laid down flat. Sid took his towel and his pant frm his drawer. Sid quickly went to the washroom to get freshened up.

Sid(thinking): tumhe toh ek lesson dena parega.

After a few minutes Sid came out of the washroom, all bare bodied and only a towel wrapped around his waist. Riddhima slowly opened her eyes, and before thinking anything further her eyes got widened. Her breathing stopped and her heart began to race, looking at her husband's masculine body. She slowly clasped her blanket tightly, a perfect shade of red washed over her cheeks. But she came out of her trance as she saw Sid opening his towel in front of her.

Riddhima(covering her eyes): SID??!!!!! YEH KYA KAR RAHE HO??!!!!!! SID???!!!!!! AAAHHH!!!!!!

Sid(thinking): hehehehehe!

Sid: relax Riddhima!!! Main three-quarter pant par kar rahi hoon.

Riddhima slowly peeked through her fingers and then realized he was indeed wearing a three-quarter pant.

Sid: main kya itna bevakoof hoon ki tumhari samne main bina kapre khadi rahungi? Itna Gandhi nazron se dekhti ho mujhe? Riddhima. Tsk tsk tsk.

Riddhima: (gasp) main jiss nazron se dekhun, tumhe kya!??????

Sid: mujhe kya???!!!! Are you kidding me?

Riddhima: no i'm not!

Sid: heh.

Riddhima: waise...tum...sirf ek towel me...hot lag rahi thi.

Sid(amazed): what?

Riddhima: ekdum ranbir kapoor ki tadha.

Sid(thinking): yeh kya? Plan backfire ho gaya?

Riddhima: you really were looking hot.

Sid: and you were looking beautiful.

Riddhima: AHA!!!! So you were looking at me.

Sid: (sigh) yes.

Riddhima: so you're attracted towards me?

Sid: no.

Riddhima: eh?

Sid: yes. But it seems like you were attracted towards me.

Riddhima: i'm always attracted towards you.

Sid: hmm.

Riddhima: acha? Today i was speaking with Aanchal.

Sid: hmm?

Riddhima: she told me how you gave her sight.

Sid: oh. that.

Riddhima: that was really sweet of you Sid. I've never seen a boy who is so blindly famous, and care about no one rather than Aanchal.

Sid: she was special, i felt bad for her. Kids always used to deliberately push her, and she always fell down. I had money, so i thought why don't i support her?

Riddhima: i'm proud of you.

Sid: thank you.

And then Riddhima wrapped her arms around his waist and gave him a warm embrace, and he hugged her back, and both of them stayed in each other's arms for a long time.
