At the hostel Abhay avoided Pia's gaze. He hated the look she was giving him like he was some fallen angel who she found so irresistible. He wanted to yell at her. Shake her but he knew this would all be in vain. She saw too much. Abhay wasn't going to give up on keeping his distance from Pia her survival depended on it. Damn she sure knew how to wind a go up tight round her finger. Those eyes were going to be his downfall. Pia got out of his car. She could hear all too well. Her heightened senses were kicking in. She could hear her own heartbeat but Abhay didn't have one. Pia came close to Abhay putting her head against his chest all to quick for Abhay to react. Abhay thought there goes another clue to what i am. He was quietly confident that Pia wouldn't remember what happened tonight. For his sake. Haseena and Chand would skin him alive not that he cared.

Pia-Woah U don't have a heart. That is so cool. I wish U wiuldn't look at me like that. I'm not scared of U. Saroo. Abhay don't worry i'll keep your secret. I'm good at that.

Abhay looks aprehensive-Pia just leave now. I'm waiting for U to stop talking and start walking to your hostel. I do have a home to go to.

Pia-U give too many orders. Thats not a nice trait. Abhay.

Abhay-What?

Pia-I can never hate U Abhay. I know i said some brutal things to U but thats not how i really feel. I'm not afraid to admit this. It's my flaw but i also know that U don't hate me either. U can cover it anyway U want but what we have won't disappear overnight. I doubt i'll ever feel this way about anyone. I didn't ask for this. It just happened. U can try to hide from it but U can never run away from this Abhay.

Abhay-Are U done?

Pia-I'm deadly serious Abhay. Trying to shut me up isn't going to make it alright. I'm saying this while i still can because i know what U are capable of Abhay. U are a special kinda guy i've never come across before but i'm glad U came in my life. I've seen some spark in U Abhay. So theres hope for U yet. Don't fight this. Fighting is futile. Nothing good will come of it. I assure U that wiping out my feelings won't work. Thats right Mister i've got your number one trick. It didn't work the first time and i can guarantee U it won't work the second time. Abhay i don' want to keep things from U but those feelings we have seem to be growing and it hurts. Here! Abhay comes out of his car in his dark broody mood. He was anything but pleased,. Ticked off more like it. Pia was ramming on at him as if he found any of this easy. Like it didn't hurt him knowing full well that he was helpless. He had nobody to turn to apart from Tara who was a million miles away from here in Salem. The only best friend he ever had and Chand hated the sight of her which pleased Abhay. Haseena was neither bothered by the Super witch and her vampire boyfriend Alexis. He could feel his resolve weaken. Pia was attacking him in all direction and he had no shelter to protect himself from her. Abhay spent so long leading a solo life without anyone that he'd forgotten how it felt to love someone.

Abhay-Like U said Pia i have a missing piece. I don't have a heart. Then again i am a monster remember. U don't love demons U despise them so do that to me. Hate me. That is all i am worthy of. Be afraid of me. I'm afraid of me and thats telling U something. All i can give U is pain. I am filth.

Pia-Abhay stop this! I wont listen to U say such horrid things about yourself. Before i leave all i will say is this. Do what U must but U will never come away from this untouched. I will make sure U feel everything. U want me to stay away from Kabir make me. U want me to stay away from U well i are U to try Abhay. I have a few things up my sleeve. Abhay so watch your back.

Abhay-Ohhh i'm so scared.

Pia-U should be Abhay now that i know what i'm dealing with U should be. U mess with my head is swear i'll mess with U.

With that Pia left Abhay rather astonished with Pia's gall to threaten him. She knew what he was capable of and she still managed to come out of this fighting. Abhay didn't know what to make Of Pia. Her words hit him for six but he was adamant on going through with his plan to do what he had to. Pia had no chance to carry out her threat. He drove home to his Villa feeling sick in the stomach. His tormented dead heart may not be beating but what made him feel like this? He would brave a battle with his kind or even from any of the supernatural beings than deal with his fragile emotional state. It scared him to death on how weak he was. Pia wasn't going to let this slide and he feared he'd give in sooner than later. In mind was being thrashed by waves colliding heavily against his brain. Waves of emotions he wasn't in control of. Pia might hurt in her heart but Abhay was feeling it in his mind. His inner turmoil was beginning to make him feel claustrophobic. As he got in he groaned by the vision of someone he so did not want a conversation of any kind with.

Haseena was there with a glass of red as if he were famished despite knowing full well he'd already dined. She appeared bored with the life here. Never socialising with anyone. The ady needed to loosen up. He felt sorry for her being lumped with Chand. She darted her eyes at him. Great another lecture. He was beginning to feel like a kid.

Haseena grabbed hold of Abhay's neck with her bare hands-What time do U call this Abhay? U have been gone for 3 hours. U know the curew we set for U. Nightlife is cool but we are being hunted in case U didn't know which i doubt. How stupid are U?

Abhay-Will U loosen the grip woman. I know we're not human but lighten up. I know keep a low profile in the night. Don't U think they would have attacked already by now. We left them in the last town in Haiderbad. Next time we relocate try going to Europe. They have all sorts there. Cannibals or even Africa. I'd like to see how anyone tracks us down here.

Haseena displeased by Abhay's folly-U can joke all U want son but this is no game. They know our secrets. They can find us anywhere at anytime. I doubt Chand will find any of your attitude amusing. There is a reason why we vampires have been red alert. This is the last place they will come to find us as it's too obvious but keep your activities limited.

Abhay-Cool no extra curricular activities aren't i the lucky one today.

Haseena-I meant the girls. Do U really think people won't start to question why all of a sudden their girls are anaemic. They aren't stupid. Plus i can smell a certain human on your clothes. Come to think of it her scent is like no other.

Haseena sniffs in and out as if she were smelling some gourmet food. Abhay started to inch away from her. Damn Pia at this rate she'll have his own kind coming after her to drain her dry. Abhay winced at that thought he couldn't bear it if anything ever happened to Pia.

Haseena-What's this i'm sensing Abhay? U are not permitted to feel anything for anyone. I'm asking U a question Abhay. Who is she?

Abhay-Leave me alone woman. Try getting on Chand's nerves. Its him U have to watch out for.

Haseena-U leave Chand out of this. We are both free to do what we want but U are not allowed. It is your immaturity that puts our clan at risk. U know emotions are forbidden to us vampires. Shut them up asap. Before U do something U regret.

Abhay sure wished he knew how to switched them off-Fine now give me a break i've had a hard day at college. See U tomorrow.

Next morning

Abhay rushed out running with his powers in full speed to Pia's hostel. He had to get to her before she spoke to anyone about his own powers he'd used in front of her but her room was empty. Abhay deliberated on waiting for her to return or go find her. He could sniff her out. E could never forget her scent nor her aura. Abhay searched for Pia led him to go to the mall. Pia was with Misha and Panchi shopping for their night out. Panchi was giving Pia a makeover. Abhay hated girls who shopped till they dropped. He lost interest usually but he admired Pia's taste for the finer things in life on a budget. Abhay say Piya choosing her usual long dreses and tops while Panchi put some away and treated Pia with her expertise to lure young men like Kabir. Abhay hated Kabir for holding a place in her heart. Pia selected a few short skirts that made his eyes pop out. No way was Pia wearing that on dates out with Kabir the college bad boy. Abhay clenched his fists and realized what he was doing. He told himself off mentall for going off tangent. It was he who'd decided it was for their sakes they stay apart. Haseena and Chand would kill Pia before they'd allow an outsider in their clan. They wouldn't want her taking the place of Mets. The witch who'd damaged his soul in the first place. He kept her under wraps locked away the key. Never to llok back only Pia reminded him so much of her in spirit. They were both feisty as hell. One lured him to eternal misery and the other killed him inside out fighting to retain any sanity he'd had left in him. Panchi and Misha went to pay for their items. It was his best chance to do his mojo on Pia. Her rushed in like the wind startling Pia.

Pia jumped back-U gotta stop making these grand entrances Abhay. Right get this over and done with before i regret i ever authorized U to do this.

Abhay-Do what?

Pia-Erasing my memory stupid.

Abhay surprised-And your cool about this?

Pia-Abhay i know U are a leopard who will never change his spots. U could care less if i lived or died i might as well give in to the madness. Besides U don't need to do this. I'm not going to tell a soul about your big secret. Trust mr i'll probably end up in the looney bin or they scientists will conduct experiments on U and i don't want to see U being prodded. Thats right i saw the horror in your eyes when U realized the extent of our bond. We are bound by an invisible cord Abhay try breaking that eh. Come on then i don't have all day.

Panchi arrives while Abhay started to compel Pia-Abhay what are U doing in the ladies section? Trying to make a move on Pia huh? I don't blame U but she's not your type. Stick with Shalini or whoever is the flavour of the day.

Misha-Not flavour. More like Flavours. Listen U hyperactive Casanova. Leave my girl alone. She's enjoying herself and doesn't need U cramping her style. She has better things to think about like Kabir. (Misha drags Pia away from Abhay's hold.) Now if U don't mind we have places to be.

Pia-Sorry Abhay U can get back to me later. I have a hot date to think about while U can stew over your own problems till then later.

Abhay mad at Pia-This was a ruse wasn't it? U distracted me with your talk while your safety net came by. I must give U praise for your move but Pia U can't hide from me forever.

Pia-Whose hiding Abhay? U will find me no matter what right! I'll give U the heads up. U invite me anywhere anytime i will be there. U knew where i live U decide. Bye

Abhay-What are U playing at Pia?

Pia-Whose playing whom Abhay? U know my deal already. Now its your move.

Misha-Why do U bother wasting your breath on that freak. The guy thinks he's some woman magnet and U stay away from him. He'll break U in two if your not careful.

Abhay heard Pia replay-Misha how can he break me when he's already broken inside. It's a matter of time until he cracks. (Pia turns around to take a last glance at Abhay)

Abhay smirks back with his eyes holding Pia until she was out of sight. Damn that girl. She was evading his mind and foiling his plans. She had to be taught a lesson. She had to know how dangerous he really was. She even told him kAbir was just a friend yet here she goes planning on a hot date with him. Pia was playing with fire. She was going to get burnt. Was Pia buying some time on her side but for what? She had challenged him and now he was going to find out what games Pia was playing. He knew pIa was going to keep her bodyguards around. Until then Abhay had things to do like going to the dojo. He needed to release his frustrations somewhere.

Dehradun Dojo

Abhay bent all his anger out in a string of Karate moves. He had his while robe on and his black belt round his waist. Abhay practiced several martial art styles. Qwan ki Do and Ju Jititzu. For relaxation he tried some Tai Chi Chuan. Abhay moved towards hitting his fist against an iron. Trying to block out all feelings. Abhay then went onto fencing gaining an audience. He bowed out of there and continued his momentum with more practice with other fighting styles. After a few hours there he headed out. Feeling better than before but he still had Pia on the brains. She was right about one thing. He wasn't as strong as he made out to be.

Pia looks at the directory searching for a talisman to help her fight Abhay. He was stubborn but Pia was innovative. She was glad she kept Abhay at bay with her nonsense. Pia smiled at her triumph over Abhay. He was in for a rude awakening. She had wondered why she wasn't afraid of Abhay despite what she'd learnt about his unusual gifts. The guy was a hypnotist. She always wondered how the professionals did their magic. Pia thought it was a peculiar talent but it could be dangerous. She also pondered what happened to her super sight and super hearing. They wore off. She missed that. Did Abhay hypnotize her into thinking she can do all this? Pia brought sceptic Misha with her along for the ride.

The Clover Talon

The place looked like a set made for horror movie fans. Scarily eerie and dark. This place was making Pia weary. Misha was cracking jokes as per usual. The bhooth Bangla like Misha phrased it. An old woman came out with her young daughter. Funnily they didn't look the part. Pia saw a glass globe filled with water and some incense smoking away giving a floral ash scent. Pia could feel herself get comfy. Misha finally shut up which was a first.

Carmel-I'm Carmel my child and U must be Pia and this is Misha.

Pia nodded. How did she know who was who? Pia never mentioned Misha tagging along.

Carmel-U mind if Rosalind sits with us. I'm training her in the craft. Rosa has gift but she is still young. Sit my children. I'm sorry tis place doesn't look very appealing. The decor has been neglected over the years. Moneys tight. The business isn't like it used to be. Too many unbelievers in the mystic world.

Rosa-Please take a seat. Don't get my mother started on the non believers. She'll spend all day on that and U will probably end up staying the night.

Carmel-Spoilsport! U come for a talisman to ward off mind control. I fear Child that U are in grave danger. The man U love is not a man.

Misha-What is this nonsense?

Rosa-I've bound a silent spell so Misha knows nothing on what we are discussing.

Pia-What are U talking about? I only want a talisman. Not a reading.

Carmel-It's my duty to warn U child. Abhay is not human. He's not the devil either. Something in between. He does not live nor does he die. He's the undead Pia. U have both unwillingly fallen for each other. I should warn U that his good lies in being with U. He needs U to complete him but he will fight U to the very end. It is he who will bring U out of darkness. U are both in danger. Abhay is being targeted by the old religion of sorcery. He will be hunted down till they avenge their loss.

Pia-What are U saying? I have my reservations but Abhay being the undead. Come one. Why would he be hunted? This makes no sense.

Rosa-He is marked Pia. Only U can save him. Just as he save U from the dangers that befall on U. Mother is out of her head most of the time but when it comes to readings she is never wrong. Pia here take this (Handing the amulet with enchantment over to Pia) wear it round your neck it will protect U from the supernatural world but heed our warning Abhay and U are in danger. Misha has a destiny she need not know of yet. She too is in danger.
