Chapter 5
Hello, howa yew all? 😛 This is the next chapter. Hope you all like it =)
_______________
Armaan locked the door behind him, after Riddhima headed inside the 'honeymoon suite'.
Trying to control his smile was one tough job for him when his eyes set on something really amusing. All he did was stare, while Riddhima looked miserable scanning the room.
[Riddhima]
1. Heinous magazine giving 'Oh, for Christ sake!' tips- Check. [I've a secret plan. I'll secretly find the editor and murder him =) Shh! It is a secret..]
2. Definitely not a feast for eyes, the rose petals covered, amidst the sickly decorated suite- Check.
3. Wanting to throw up, when your 'ae jee' looks at you passionately- Check.
Err, Can I re-check the last point? Please? Or else, I've something even better. Oh, I see a glass window in front of me. Let me break the window and jump out of my room?
Oh, crap! Why the hell is he smiling? Wait, does the 'bridal makeup' make me look like a clown? Does that mean I'm free to avoid the honeymoon? Yay!
Oh, shit!! There! There goes 'the ae jee look'. Mummma!!
[Narrator]
Done scanning the humongous room, she looked at Armaan, who was busy placing the luggage.
Armaan tried his best to make her comfortable, only to his failure. The way she trembled, after looking at the bottle of champagne (kept on the table) , was eternally amusive, no kidding! She totally has the 'Riddhima look' on her face.
[Armaan]
This is torture!
Firstly, Riddhima is totally freaking out. Does that bother me? No! I love that.
Secondly, I can't even smile. Oh wait, she has that 'look' again on her face. Is that because of my smile. Good. *Smiles huge* Ahh, paradise!! Can I enjoy it with the champagne, please?
Wondering what 'The Riddhima look' is all about?
To my recent observations, Riddhima gets a really amusive expression her face when she is scared or nervous.
It is always entertaining when Mrs Malik is frowning and trying to smile at the same time. Dammit, she is so cute!
On a serious note, I'll admit you the truth. At once I could feel my heart pouncing, the moment I entered the room. I don't know what that means. I've no clue how to word it, since it is something new.
[Narrator]
Riddhima found herself leaning on the wall, as she saw Armaan taking his steps towards her.
'Arrival of my doomsday' she thought, and closed her eyes.
She opened her eyes to find Armaan close, close enough to make her heart & soul tremble.
Armaan looked into Riddhima's eyes, as his body leaned on hers. Nothing but innocence in those eyes, it made him go crazy!
Her scent was something he was noticing for the first time, which was divine.
Silence.
The sound of her heart thudding against her rib cage, to go with her fast breathe , had already begun to affect him. His brain had begun to lose its authority, and his heart was taking over.
Riddhima closed her eyes when she saw Armaan raise his hand. He slowly ran his hands through her hair, removing the strand of hair disturbing him.
[Riddhima]
I had totally thought we would stay in that posture till eternity. Thank god, I was proved wrong.
I opened my eyes on hearing a loud roar of laughter. I looked at the lunatic 'patidev' of mine interrogatively, on finding him amused for some reason.
"You think this is funny?" I did sound enraged then.
"Oh, funny for me." I could bet on my life, I did see him wink at me. But it was not a 'friendly' or 'casual' wink this time, it was something different.
"What the heck are you trying to prove?" I stomped my foot angrily.
[Armaan]
Funny! The 'Riddhima Look' had now changed to a red tomato angry look of hers. Her expressions are epic!
She had begun to grow inside me. She was making her way inside my veins. Wait, did I just say that?
Aw, Shit!
[Narrator]
"Oh, I was just trying to take the towel." Riddhima looked at the white towel in his hands.
Nervously, she lowered her gaze from him. He was a guy enough to shut Riddhima up, and she hated him for that!
"Oh." She muttered. Armaan smiled. His blue eyes stayed locked to her expressions, so innocent.
"Um, I think I'll go and freshen up." Riddhima picked up another towel from the wardrobe. All she wanted to do is get out that place!
"Sure-You.." The rest was unheard , since Riddhima practically ran inside the room the moment she saw him nod.
[Riddhima]
I could totally win an Olympic race right now! I bet.
Armaan Malik can make me shake me dance with fear.
He could totally shut me up.
And now, he had trained me for the next years running marathon. In how much time? Um, wait- 2 minutes? Oh bloody hell!!
Should I try bungee jumping now? Darn, I should have jumped out of that plane. *Sad*
[Narrator]
Riddhima did the best she could. She looked at her watch and it was 10.30 pm. She had wasted a complete 2 hours in the bathroom now.
"And, with that there goes my hattrick!" She looked at the watch and patted herself proudly.
But what bothered her was- could see manage to spent her lifetime in this bathroom?
"Hmm.." She muttered, as she scanned around the bathroom.
Curiously, She picked up the soap kept near her.
"I can eat this soap, can't I?" She smelled the soap.
"Smells delicious!" Optimism was of no help, since the very thought of tasting it made her puke.
"Darn you, Malik! Now I can't spend a lifetime here." She muttered again, as she heard a loud bang on the door.
"Riddhima? Are you fine? You're in..since 2 hours." She heard Armaan shout. He sounded concerned, hence she decided to hide her misery.
"You think I don't know how to read the clock?" She answered back, and heard him chuckle.
"Ooh! Some one looks pretty pissed. Whats up, honey?" His usage of the seductive tone gave Riddhima creeps. She decided to face 'the ghost' when she heard him laugh louder.
Armaan stopped laughing and looked up, as he heard the door tick open. He smirked as he saw her stand in front of him. She was not pleased, he could tell, since she had her hands on her hips, while a tiny portion of her nose was still red. Adorable! He thought.
Not so adorable, he rephrased himself when he saw her taking her furious steps towards him.
"You think this is funny, huh?" She narrowed her eyes, while trying to be stern. No this is adorable! Armaan began the self-debate.
"Another word-" Riddhima neared him with bloodshot eyes and whispered.
"And you will be thrown out of this room." Armaan gulped.
Hardly a week and Riddhima had totally converted herself into a typical 'wife', Armaan thought.
Thus began the lecture. Riddhima paced about the available space, muttering to herself, when it happened to her. This is when she saw it.
"It was a single bed." Riddhima tried to recollect. In front of her stood a single bed, divided into two beds.
"Oh, my god." Riddhima paused and muttered to herself. She looked at Armaan, who nodded assuringly.
"You need not always say it, Riddhima" Saying this, Armaan grabbed his towel kept on the bed, and headed towards the bathroom.
It was as if nothing had happened at all. How did it suddenly become so easy?
No exchange words, yet Armaan had again managed to make a difference. Did he make an impact? Yes.
Riddhima continued to stare at Mr. Malik, as he walked inside the bathroom. Armaan found her staring, and smiled, though he knew she was not pleased at the moment. There was no way she was going to return no smile.
'Hell hath no fury like a woman scorn' Armaan thought. He did not please his wife, and he'd definitely pay for the same.
Armaan's assumption that he knew Riddhima well enough by now, broke soon. He had expected her to wake away in rage, but instead, Riddhima stood there smiling at him.
While shutting the door, all the memories of their first meeting came flooding back to him..
His life was messy, when he had met Riddhima. And Riddhima had just met his life messier..
Only, now Armaan knew the reasons to it- 'coz they were meant to be.
