Well unfortunently, I won't be able to update for a week or two because of my finals and papers that is due soon and well I have been puting it aside but now it is time that I finish my paper and get it over with lol. SORRY!!! 😭😭
NOTE: Also, while I was going through the comments: Many of you asked why didn't Maan let Geet know that he is in New York? hmmmm well would you guys raher have Maan tell Geet and ruin the surprise? OR would you guys rather see the reaction on Geet's face?
Chapter 9
The meeting had finished after hour or so...throughout the whole meeting..she didn't look at Maan at all only when he asked questions...she wished why he couldn't be like Adi who was sweet and nice..she loved his dorky laugh...Geet went to her cabin to call her neighbor who was this elderly women in her 60's . She was the best neighbor anyone could ask for. Just in case, she left her house key with the neighbor because of her dog. "Thank god I remembered about the food or else cookie would've torn the house apart."
Dev came in her cabin as expected "lo aagaya ulu da patha"
Geet: Hi Dev..the meeting went well
Dev: Yeah, it did...the clients are very happy with the results..
Geet under her breath: "woh khadus or happy?" : umm yeah that is good
Dev: Listen we are going for lunch...
Geet: Ohh ok..in that case I will call my friend so I can go to lunch break as well
Dev: Geet you are coming with us...it is my treat to you too for all your hard work
Geet "suraj aaj sahi disha par utha hai..kya mein ishe apni ticket ke bare mein baat karoon...since he is being nice" : Thanx Dev..actually I wanted to ask you for a favor
Dev: hmm I expected that lol
Geet: I got a ticket today at the airport while I was picking up the client
Dev: how?
Geet: Ohh I parked in a handicapped area since I was in a rush...
Dev raised his eyebrow but somehow wasn't shocked at her: how much was it?
Geet: $200 (smiled at Dev)
Dev: hmm fine give me the ticket I will pay for it..since you did so much already
Geet pulled it out of her bag before Dev could change his mind: here you go
Dev: Alright let's go..clients are waiting
Geet: alright
At the restaurant, Dev had already reserved four seats for them...Geet watched where Maan would sit so that she can either sit opposite of him or far away from him but somehow she ended up sitting next to him..Maan looked at her still anger in his eyes but not as much from the airport where she could see her grave...she forced herself to smile him but that khadus just pretended he didn't see her and looked at his menu while Adi and Dev were busy deciding what to get. Geet felt really weird being the only girl there but hey she couldn't pass out the opportunity of free food.
Waiter: What would you guys like to drink before ordering?
Adi: I will have some Pepsi
Dev: I will like to have scotch on the rocks please...what about you Maan?
Maan: umm I will have same as you...
Geet murmed great: I will also have Pepsi...thank you
Waiter smiled at Geet: Alright, well I will be right back with those orders. Until then please enjoy this appetizers (which was simple bread pieces with olive oil on the side YUMMY)
Adi: So Geet how long have you been working with Dev?
Geet: umm for about five years
Dev: Yeah she really proved herself (Maan looked at Geet with questioning look)
Geet looked down at her plate to stop her anger from rising when she saw the looks that he was giving her...she noticed forks on the side of her plate..she wondered if it would hurt if she stabs Maan with the fork but where? She looked at him nonchalantly... "hmm thighs seem the easy target since he is sitting right next to me...just pick up the fork and BAM" Her murderous planning was disturbed by the waiter who was back with their drinks.
Waiter: Here you guys...two pepsis and two scotch on the rocks...have you guys decided on the food?
Geet: Yes, can I have Chicken parmesan Sandwich but if you can put allot of jalapeno peepers and extra extra cheese.
All the three guys looked at her shocked
Waiter: Alright Ma'am
Dev: umm could I get panini pasta with parmesan cheese
Maan: Can I get any sandwich doesn't matter which one as long as it is not spicy
Adi: Can I just get salad please..trying to watch my diet...Geet tried hard not to laugh
Waiter: Alright I will be back with the food...Enjoy
Adi: Geet if you don't mind please pass me the bread
Geet: Sure
As she was passing the bread to Adi who was sitting across from her...her elbow hits Maan's drink by accident causing it to spill on Maan's pants. She dropped the bread basket on the table "this is way better then the fork idea I had" She kept her head down trying not to look into his eyes and tried to hold her laughter in.
Dev: Geet what have you done?
Geet: It was an accident
Dev: Maan I am really really sorry...
Maan tried to maintain his anger: it is fine Dev..am sure allot of accidents happen to Geet..of no fault of her own...
Geet "fork would've been way better to shut him up" I am sorry
Adi: Maan sir it is fine..lets go back to the hotel and call it a day....
Dev: Yeah that is fine..we can do lunch some other time...I will drop you guys at the hotel
Maan: Alright thank you Dev
Geet: Their bags are in my car
Dev: We will go to the company first and Adi you can go with Geet and Maan can come with me... (he needed to separate the two of them by looking at Maan murderous face)
Dev left with Maan as soon as he dropped Adi and Geet at the company. As soon as Geet sat in the car she started laughing and pretty son Adi joined her too...
Adi: You should've seen the look on Maan Sir lol
Geet: haha I know...this was the best lunch I ever had
Adi: He will make your life hell until he is here..I hope you are ready
Geet: Let's see what he does..he doesn't know who he is messing with..
Adi: I would love to see that...I am so hungry though too bad lunch had to end before it even came
Geet: yeah am sure that salad of yours would've satisfied your hunger lol...I do miss my sandwich though...btw I have to stop at the gas station to fill the tank up..we can grab some chips from there..although am not sure you would like that...
Adi: hmm alright no problem..why wouldn't I like some chips?
Geet: Don't you have to watch your diet?
Adi looked at her and both started laughing: I think my diet could hold for couple of days
Geet: Alright lets go then
Both ate their chips as fast as they could before going to the hotel room and made sure that there was no proof on both of them that they ate or else they would've been dead by their perspective bosses. When Geet knocked on the door Adi whispered "Good luck" Geet smiled at Adi but quickly puts on a sad face when the door opened. Thank god Dev opened the door because she knew that if she looks at Maan then she would've laughed on his face making the situation worse than it is right now.
Geet: here are the bags Mr. Khurana
Maan: thanx if you don't mind than I would really like to be alone
Geet bandar: Yeah sure see you tomorrow SIR..bye Adi
Adi: Bye Geet (with a big smile)
Dev: umm Maan tomorrow I will pick you guys up instead of Geet
Maan: thank god...(looking angirly at Geet...Geet so wanted to jump him but Adi came in front of Geet on purpose before anything happens)
Dev: ahem lets go Geet...I need to talk to you...bye see you guys tomorrow
Geet: bye Adi (completely ignoring Maan)
Dev: what the hell was that Geet?
Geet: What you saw what happened it was an accident.
Dev: Yeah, it all happens to you
Geet: fine then if you think I can't handle the job then why don't you just give this responsibility to someone else...
Dev: Don't tempt me and you very well know that I don't have anyone that will be able to handle this responsibility. This is your last chance Geet don't mess it up!
Geet: Yes sir
Dev: Just take the rest of the day off and tomorrow you better apologize to Maan for what you did even if it was an accident...
Geet: Fine I will
Geet was so mad at this Maan because of him her job is on the line..Dev was never mad at her before like this...she needed to get her mind out of this mess....
To Vicky:
Hey want to have lunch? Am hungry!!!
From Vicky:
What happened to your client and your boss?
To Vicky:
ugh don't remind me of them...long story!
From Vicky:
uhh ohh this will be interesting to hear..I will be there at our usual place in five minutes

Geet told Vicky of what happened at the restaurant..Vicky wasn't surprised at all...he didn't laugh this time because he knew she is mad and he didn't want to mess with her anger or had energy to fight...
Vicky: poor guy..
Geet: yeah he is a poor guy alright..you should've seen his eyes...it looked like he could've killed me right there if it wasn't a public place lol
Vicky: yeah I wouldn't be surprised if he did attempt to do that to you...I mean first the coffee and then his drink on him lol...I would so love to meet this guy...
Geet: yeah well it wasn't my day today and someone paid the consequence for it lol
Vicky: I have an idea..why don't you have your dog attack him...
Geet: Hey my cookie is a lover not a hater like him
Vicky: ha lover??? then why is your dog alone? Get her some male friends lol
Geet throws her chip on Vicky again: My cookie doesn't need anyone like me...we both are fine the way we are
Vicky: that is it Geet you are gonna get it now for throwing your food on me again
Maan took a looonnnnnggggg shower...each time he thought about Geet his face flares up with anger. He knew now that she was out to get him...all the accidents apparently happens to him only. Why not Adi? He decided that he would take revenge for sure...until he is here he won't rest in peace until she gets what she deserves..when he comes out of the bathroom his lunch had already arrived...he saw Adi munching on food.. "So much for his so called diet"
Adi: sir have some food..it is delicious
Maan: I am not hungry..I had enough for today thanx to that Geet
Adi: Sir it wasn't her fault..(but stopped half way when he saw Maan's anger)
Maan: I just want to cool off (he takes his laptop and sits on the bed)
Adi: Sure sir
Maan opens his e-mail..a smile appears on his face..Adi notices that but ignore it and continues to eat...Maan looks at Adi and roles his eyes and continues to read his email...he read the question that NyQueen was asking...his thoughts went back to Geet again...he shook his head before he could get mad and murder someone..which would be Adi in this case since he is the only one in the room....

Geet went straight home after her and Vicky's food fight at the restaurant. The owner had to kick them out and pay for the mess they created. Luckily, they got off with a warning since they were their usual customers. Everyone who had passed them at the streets thought that they were drunk since they wobbling all over the place while laughing. Only god knows how she got home...when she got home she was shocked the state her house was in.
Geet: COOKIE!!! (her dog looked at her while he was chewing one of her shoes in the bedroom)...come here bad doggie...
Cookie gaver her an innocent look..Geet: that won't work today..that is it..you are going in the basement for the night...I spoil you so much....
She drags her dog to the basement since Cookie wouldn't move a muscle... "why...do....you...have....to....make..it...hard..." struggling to get tie her dog who kept on moving.. "there all done..this is your punishment...now I don't want to hear any noise from you"
Geet goes up stairs and starts cleaning the whole house.... "Everyone has to make my life miserable, first client, my boss, Vicky now I can add my dog to the list ugh....wonder what else I have to suffer...babji please help" After cleaning she checked her email....
