Samrat's POV:

O.M.G I was standing outside gunjan's house.. I didnt wanna accept it but I was Nervous! Im going to meet aditya! How will I tell him the truth? What if gunjan already told him? No she wouldnt.. I was so unprepared for this..

I rang the bell and thought about what aditya had said about his dad.. 'he never wanted to see him again' that means he din wanna see me! He hated me.. I was filled with sadness the next moment.. but then the door opened and the Nanny Stood in front..

"Hello Sir, may I help You?" She asked..

"Umm.. Is aditya there?"

"No Sir.. He hasnt come back from school.. please come in!"

"How long will he take?"

"He'd be back any second.." the made assured..

I nodded and entered their house.

It was neat.. and there were pictures of gunjan and adi all over! I was so happy! Or maybe soo sad.. I dont know.. my feelings were all mixed until I saw it.. I saw the basketball kept..

I took it to the garden and surprisingly there was a court! Aditya actually loved basketball.. Afer all he was his son! I felt a sense of pride saying he was MY son! I felt so lucky.. I dribbled the ball.. It was ages since i played it! Almost 12 years since i played basketball! I had promised myself never to play it again! But here I am dribbling it..

But Then I was worried all of a sudden a thought came into my mind.. WHAT IF ADI DIDNT FORGIVE ME? WHAT IF GUNJAN DIDNT WANT ME ANYMORE? How will I survive without them.. I Tried to shoot again and again.. but it wouldnt go! That always happened when i was in a bad mood.! I cudnt score a single basket! I loved gunjan soo much! I missed her! My life seemed so incomplete without her! How do i tell her abt my feelings! I dont know.. =(( What should I do?

I kept thinking about it.. And played basketball.. But I Failed in BOTH! Nor could i shoot a single basket! Nor could I think Of A Plan!

Adi's POV:

I was Happy After coming back from school! I was going to go over to sameers house today and we would have to much fun at the sleepover! We could play his video games and enjoy ourselves..

As I eneterd I Saw the Nanny Standing in front! Oh God! I hated her! Why did mom call her back! She always forced me to change my clothes, eat my food.. arghh! And especially my green veggies.. *puke* It was gross.. the name made me sick..

"Aditya.. There is a person waiting for you!" She said as i came in and handed my bag over to her!

"What? Who is it?" Who would want to meet me? Oh yes! I knew who!

I went out to the garden to see my 'Supposed-To-Be' father playing basketball with my BALL!

I was just going to go talk to him when I realised he was trying to shoot a basket.! He calls himself a basketball player! LOL! He was crap! He couldnt even shoot a single basket! How M I HIS son? He is just soo.. Gosh! I know mom would be upset if I use this term for him but cant help it! Hes A FREAK! Thats all! He cant play basketball! LOL!

Wonder what mom liked in him?!?!?

"Umm.. hello?" Not knowing what to call him now?!

he turned keeping the ball in his hand.. he walked up to me..

"Hi.." he said with a smile.

"Why are you here?" I Cudnt smile at him AT ALL!

"Umm.. wanted to talk." He said.. his face turning quite serious!

"Please leave.. Mom wont like me talking to you like this.. but, I hav no other option!" I know I was quite rude.. But He deserved no better!

"Oh! So you know!"

"My Mother hides nothing from me!" How would he know anything abt mother-son relation ship!

"Oh Really?! Then she must have told you how much she loves me to ryt?"

He said with full confidence! What did he think of himself.. but I had nothing to say to this.. i was quiet.. Wondering what to reply!

"Aditya. I know you love your mom alot! But I Do To.. I love her more than anything!"

And he wants me to believe that! Ryt!

"Ya Sure! Thats why you left her and went away!"

"No! I had some problems... Bt aditya! We could be family again! Gunjan could be happy! Think about it!"

He was so confident! And absolutely right! But I was confused.. I know what mom wants! She loves him buit does she want to get back together! I dont know what to do! Should I help him? But Why should I? He left mom and went and for 12 years! 12 years he didnt come backk! He could just be lyingg! What should I do...

"I dont know.. Im not helping you.." I said .. finally deciding..

"But Why? We could be together! Like a happy family!" he said.. smiling..

"You know what? Nothing would be the same again! NOTHING!"

"We can make it happen! Give me a chance.."

He was adamant! But I was also His SON! And I am ada—

What did I just say? I called myself his son! NO! Im just my moms son! Thats all! I am not helping him! No..!

"Sorry.."

"Why not have a basketball match..?" He seemed confident..

He wants to have a basketball match with me? Does he know how bad he is in basketball!??

"What?"

"Ya! Why not? Whoever wins decides what to do..! If I win then U help me and if I Lose then I do what you want!!"

I smirked at his comment! He would beat me with such pathetic basketball? Never! Rubbish!

"Ok Fine!" I said.. confident!

The Game – Samrat V/s Aditya!

The Game Started.. Samrat was enjoying seeing aditya play so well.. He was as good as Samrat was when he was a kid! Aditya scored the first basket as samrat was just having some fun in the beginning! His mood had changed.. this thoughts drifted from Gunjan and he focused on the game!

He shot many baskets after that and even let aditya shoot some.. He didnt want adi to feel bad! So as a Loving father he gave him turns... Aditya noticed it! He started to wonder how come samrat played such cool basketball! And Why was he giving him the chance to win!

And the Winner was The SON! Adi had won the match as samrat didnt want to make aditya feel bad.. he knew aditya wouldnt help him as it is.. But then what he said was A SHOCK!

"I want you to promise you'll never leave my mother and Go.. NEVER! Thats what I want! I will help you convince her! But only if you promise.. Swear by the name of god!" Samrat was in shock! He expected aditya to jump and show off that he was better! But he was truely a loving son! He asked him for this.!.!.

"I promise.. Aditya.. I love Your Mother alot! And I will NEVER leave her again!" Samrat said with a straight face..

He came forward to hug him when Aditya stopped him..

"That doesnt mean i have forgiven you! This is just for Mom.. I still Hate Youu! But i know she cant stop loving you! So if she wants it that way then she gets it!" Aditya said seriously!

Samrat smiled at him..

"So what do I call you?" Aditya asked again..

"Whatever you want.. You can call me dad too.." Samrat said.. praying that he'd agree.. but after all he was his son!

"No Ways! Ill just NOT call you anything! Is that ok?"

"yup. Cool..!"

Samrat and aditya went inside the nanny got water for them..

Aditya didnt show it but he was happy that Samrat loved gunjan too.. He wanted a father and he felt like calling him dad.. But he didnt.. he wanted to make sure samrat was saying the truth..

They talked for sometime about how aditya would start the topic with gunjan and all.. when she entered and was shocked to see aditya sitting with samrat..

"Adii..." She said in a low voice..

Adi got up and turned to see his mother in awe..

"Mom he just came by To Talk.." Aditya said going towards his mom..

"Gunjan.. can we talk?" Samrat asked..

"Wao Samrat! He is a Kid.. and Its so easy for you to convince him ryt? That I was wrong.. and you were right! You dont get the meaning of go away! Do you?"

"Gunjan.. please.. Give me a chance to explain..I never—

Gunjan cut samrat in the middle..

"Look samrat! Dont create a scene in front of Adi.. just leave! Now!"

Samrat didnt say a word.. he just left from there sad once again..

That evenning! Gunjan was pretty angry with aditya and he kept going around pleading for forgiveness.. She didnt listen at all.. It was as if she could see him there! She ignored him completely..

Later when gunjan got ready for the party and went to call aditya.. she saw him near the window with tears in his eyes..

She ran and hugged him..

"Adi.. Why you crying baby!?"

"Mom.. Dont be angry.." His voice was so uncertain!

"Im sorry darling.. Im not angry with you! Its ok.. Dont cry! Cant see you crying!"

"I dont like samrat, because he makes you cry!!" he said straight forward..

"Dont say that adi..He isnt that bad.." Gunjan said smiling.. and they hugged again..

She shut her eyes.. and tears formed..

G: (thinking) I have to talk to samrat! He has to go! I cant see adi in pain because of him! He cant come and ruin my life again and again..

Aditya: (thinking) Mom i know u love him! Wish i could convince you to hate him! But I have to help HIM.. I care about youu.. I hope to see you happy again.. like the old gunjan! Who was full of life..

At The Party..

Samrat and Mohit were sitting at the bar talking about their lives.. Mohit told samrat about his wife and his son.. and Samrat went on to tell mohit about his family and friends.. and that he was still single..

M: What? Ur single? At 34? But your handsome.. how come you never got married..

S: I... I dont know.. Never felt like getting married..

Mohit chuckled at this..

M: Oh come on! There must be someone whom you lovedd.. Maybe she dumped you! Tell me about her!

S: Yes.. there was a girl who I loved more than my life..

M: See..! But who was she? What happened..

S: One mistake.. and she went away.. forever! Met her after a long time.. But She's angry!

M: Oh come On!.. She'll agree if she still loves youu! Is she married?

Samrat shook his head..

M: Thats splendid then! Who is she..?

S: you know her...

M: me?

S: Ya.. shes Gunjan.. Gunjan Bhushan..!

That name Rang in Mohits mind.. What?? How could that be??!! Gunjan is a single mother right? Is Aditya Samrat's son? No no.. I have to ask her! Thats not what I had planned! This cant be happening! I LOVE GUNJAN!

Have been loving her since three years! How could this guy, who came three days back , take her away from me.! Gunjan Is Mine.. Isnt she?!

Gunjan entered the party looking for samrat! She saw samrat and mohit sitting in the bar.. she walked towards them.. She tapped on samrats back..

Both the guys looked at her..

G: Hi mohit.. nice party!

M smiledd..

M: thanks..

G: Can I just talk to you for a second , samrat?

Samrat looked at her confused and so was mohit! Mohit was becoming insecure.. He drank too much ! He shouldnt have.. But He did..

(Yes guys.. Mohit was the one who was drunk! Rejoice.. Whoever Guessed it right!)

Gunjan and samrat went to a corner..

G: Samrat.. I need to talk to you!

Samrat looked at gunjan blankly..

S: me too..

G: Samrat let me say it first.. Im sorry.. Please.. please..Tum yaha se jao!

Samrat was shocked once more..

S: chashmish.. kyun?

G: Samrat.. Maine tumse pehle bhi kaha hai.. There is no space for you.. in my life!! Its going well.. dont do that!

S: yes Gunjan.. Your life is going great! I can see that! (sarcastic)

The truth is your life is still incomplete.. without me.. and so is mine.. My life is nothing without you.. It doesnt seem like life..

G: Wrong samrat! It is life.. I guess we just have to move on!

Samrat caught gunjans hands..

S: Chashmish.. dont say that! I wont be able to live without you!

G: Dont say that samrat! You have lived these 12 years and you will live ahead too..

S: But why? Why should we stay apart now? You love me gunjan! And so do I! There was a misunderstanding between us.. And I can clear that!

G: Its NOT ABOUT YOU AND ME! Its about aditya also..

S: Aditya will understand gunjan!!

G: Ok fine! I dont want aditya to understand! He is Right! Happy?!

Before samrat could reply to that mohit made an announcement.. (drunk)

"GUNJAN!.. Gunjan!!"

Gunjan and samrat both turned around...

He walked straight to gunjan with all eyes fixed on them..

Samrat moved one step back..

M spoke on the mike..

M: Gunjan today I want to tell you something! I want to tell you how I feel..

G: Mohit your drunk.. Please.. stop..

M: No gunjan! I am in my senses! ComPleteLy!

G: Mohit.. please.. relaxx..

M: GUNJAN I LOVE YOUU!

Gunjan was in shockk.. He couldnt love her! He couldnt! Gunjan had never responded.. or even noticed anything!

G: Mohit.. UR DRUNK.. do this later!

Samrat was even more shockked.. What was going on..

Mohit clutched on to gunjan's waist..

"I love youu gunjan.. And I want to marry you! I want to make you mine forever!"

Samrat couldnt believe his ears!!

SAMRAT'S POV:

Each and every word pierced my heart a thousand times.. Mohit loved gunjan! And She was in his arms at the moment.. I couldnt bear it..

Then gunjan tried to come out of his grip but he tightened it even more..

"Gunjan.. I love youu! I love everything about you.." He started coming even closer.. Carressing her hair.. Gunjan didnt respond to anything she was just still! Why was she doing that! Why couldnt she just slap him! Oh I forgot! Shes Gunjan!

"I Love your hair.. your eyes.. your love.. your friendship.. your lips.."

It was getting too much now! I couldnt control myself.. He came closer to gunjan as he said all that! I dont know how I was seeing all that! I could just feel my heart thudding loudly.. Why wasnt gunjan responding! What was she thinking about? Why was she thinking? She loved me not him and she was mine.. forever..

And then his last sentence almost killed me..

"Will You Marry Me?" He was on his knees .. Thank god he didnt have a ring!

I was already dying when gunjan completely finished the job.

"Yes.. I will.." She replied softly and the whole crowd cheered.. And mohit got up and hugged her! Gunjan didnt respond to the hug.. she just stared at me.. Probably thinking how I would respond.. But I had nothing to say after that..

I became weak on my knee.. i thought id fall anysecond.. i couldnt move.. my world stopped and I was shockked.. Gunjan just said yes to marry him! And they were hugging then.. Why did she do this to me.. why? I couldnt move for a long time.. I went up to them after everyone had finished..

Gunjan obviously couldnt look into my eyes.. she had tears in her own eyes.. I just wanted her to be happy! Thats all..

" Congrats.." Thats all I could say!

Mohit was completely drunk! And that was proved by what he said next..

"hey gunjan! Do yyou know this chap? He is madly in love with you! He said that he loves you more than his life! (ha burts outlaughing..) Tell him.. tell him that no one can love you more than me.."

He was reallyy drunk.. Gosh! How could gunjan say yes to a drunk person!

"She already knows that mohit.. If she thought I love her more than you.. then she wouldnt have said yes today.." that was all I said.. and I quietly walked backk..
