Part-14

The dark sky was looking very gloomy above the shining city.. Geet's light green satin night dress layer was blowing softly with the wind..

'it is going to rain soon.."..

"you feel ticklish?" maan again asked tightening his arms around her waist level and moving his lips more closer to her ear....

'ok .. But tell me how you are feeling here?".. Maan asked seriously..

Geet took a deep breath..and then said " feeling like a dream.. can't believe this is all happening with me.. I want to take it as the blessings from babaji.. who gave you to me..and just mine"..

He felt so touched with her words, that he turned her around.. Geet just smiled and wrapped her arms around him and rested her head on his chest..

"ha, sach keh rehe hum mei.. I don't know why I am happy for? Is it because I am seeing a new place or is it because I love being near to you..' .. maan was strolling over her open hair.. he was feeling her breath falling on his chest.. he tightened his grip and was feeling her heart which was beating next to his… Geet continued.... 'You took me to all those places that I dreamed to see, I saw the smiley flowers, I saw the smooth flowing of the river in the midst of fast moving roads and rail roads.. nobody bothers about others.. Just doing their duty.. and you walked with me, I held your arm, and you let me see all these without any fear of losing me in that new crowded place. With all these magic around, your eyes were on me.. you protected me as I got lost in the beautiful work of that illuminated Eiffel tower and the lighted water fountains in front of it.. you held me tight in your limit as I enjoyed the beauty of this dreamy city..Paris.. I love her more now, becaue of her I have you so close to me..'.. she paused..

'hum.. then…" Maan was listening to her in trance with a tinge of smile on his lips..

She looked at him … "I am only talking for long , right? Now you tell me something. I will listen".. geet demanded and rested back on his chest..

"what do I say Geet, the lights of these big cities never amazed me. But I started liking here.. Paris.. because I am spending the most beautiful time with my love.. and it showed me the excited eyes of yours.. and I love it here because first time we went out to shop.. and you are wearing what I choose for you and walking around holding onto my arm, reminding me that you need me.." .. then in a loving serious way he said "Geet, you don't need to worry about anything.. I just want to see that happy smile on your face every day, nothing else matter to me..'

But then it started raining.. the cold drops started wetting them.. Geet tightened her arms around him as she felt the coldness wetting her body.. Rain drops were rolling down his face.. but now he enjoys it very much, along with his Geet.. they stood completely drenched.. but their heart started beating fluttery..

Weeks just passed by.. later one day inside an office building…

Maan: Thank you so much for keeping our appointment secret..

"Its My pleasure Sir, more than that ... feel like I am honored to meet you like this..".. the man replied in his proud voice..

Maan replied with a thankful smile.." so what you think"

"not a problem at all, I checked all the certificates, and she is a very talented student.., so we are more than happy to have her in our college"..

"Good to hear that Mr. Principal.., so what's the next step..?' Mann asked.

Principal; nothing specifically. We got all the required documents. Class started a week ago. Its all starting up only.. so not a big deal. I am sure she will catch up easily.. But can I ask you a personal question..?".. he asked in a doubtful way..

Maan gave a look encouraging him to ask..

"If you don't mind, why do you want to keep her admission details secret? Who is she?.. if you don't mind.."

Maan smiled.. I expected this from you Sir. And I am sure you checked her certificates.. but didn't see the new application and did not notice the name.. Geet is my wife, and yes her last name is Khurana. She is Mrs. Geet Khurana, not Geet Handa that you noticed in old certificates.."

Principal stood from his seat with an exclaimed face,.. " what?

"yes Sir, but you don't need to give her any special attention, nor I want anyone else to know about it. She is just another student in this college, and more than me she will prefer that, I don't want any lectures to know about it either. Keep this as a secret between you and me..". Maan said with a smile..

"but".. principal tried to clarify something..

"Yes, I know.. Very few knew about my marriage, and we don't want to disclose it to the world for now. take it as a security reason too.. by the way… I need to mention this too.. do you mind if I keep two guards here at campus, I know others may question you.. but you can say newly appointed guards ..somehting for college security and all..' ..and then looking at his face.." you can make up something.. but don't worry, I will pay for them/.. ha ha.. But I want to make sure Geet is safe here, because few are out there looking for her and I don't want she to know about it either, or anyone to know about it. I hope I can trust you."..

Principal: Yes, of course Mr. Khurana. Don't worry, we can take care of it. And you can trust me. I got your point and i don't mind that security guards in my campus.. afterall it is good for our college...

"Thanks Mr. Principal'. He stood from his seat and shook his hand and they both walked out. Maan wore his goggles on as he stepped towards his car..

Later that day at mansion.. at dinner time..

Daadi: Geet , so are you ready to start your college days..

Geet: yes Daadi, But I am too afraid too. I don't know how it is here, and the class already started too..

Maan: don't worry about the class Geet, it just one week and they didn't even started it seriously.. it is just the introduction and all..

Geet: if it is in Hoshiarpur…. She started blabbing on her school days.. her friends.. her trips to and from school….

Daadi and Maan just listen to her stories with a smile on her face,..

Maan: "Ok Ms. Hoshiarpur.. Now finish your food.. and get into bed quick , you are already late. I will drop you at college while going to work..

Geet: what? No no.. I will go myself.. you don't need to drop me.. I am not a kid.. you are telling as if I am a kindergartner and my mom is coming to drop me..

Maan with a smile : "Geet it is your first day, and I am going to drop you". Then looking at Daadi.." daadi, note what she said today, soon you are going to see her requesting me to drop her…"

Geet: nahi daadi. I am fine.. i don't need any new car or anything..

Daadi: no Geet, this is my wish.. and I will help you with finishing your homework too…

Maan: no cheating.. If there is homework, then Geet only has to do it..

Daadi: no, it is my duty to help my daughter..

Maan: no daadi, you can't do that..

Daadi in an angry tone: no I will help her, and that is final..

Maan also stood from his seat: if you do that then she won't learn anything.. she needs to do it.

Geet was looking at both of them… finally she stood up..

Geet: don't worry.. I have a solution..

Both Maan and Daadi looked at her..

Geet: I will separate my home work and give both of you half half.. I will go to bed, and you both finish my work..ok.. but for now, let me finish my food.. you two finish na.. but I am still hungry… and she sat down and started eating..

Maan and Daadi looked at her and then to each other… and then asked together "what?"

Geet smiled at them and said .." don't worry about me now, I will try my level best and will come to both of you if I need help.. after all this is a dream come true for me..'

Loved the Maaneet moments Devika...Geet for the first time expressed her feelings so freely......there's no other word for it....simply beautiful !So finally Geet is joining college...much awaited part....lets see what new challenges she's going to face now that she's entering the world by herself once again.......and Daadi is so sweet,she got a new car for her to go to college....and Maan has taken care of everything else...so let Geet start the college 😆.......will be waiting for the next part as always😆.......
