Chapter 26
Maan came home searching for Geet and Dadima..the whole house was dark...that is how he felt..everything around him was darkness...he couldn't think of loosing Geet and Dadima they wee his life and everything..without them he would have no reason to live...he called out to both of them...he went upstairs checked their bedroom, bathrooms, hallway, kitchen everything...he left the house and looked in the outhouse...with each passing minute fear and anger increased...he went to the outhouse it was same as the house..everything was engulfed by darkness..he was about to leave when he heard muffled noises coming from one of the rooms...he quickly went in the room and turned on the lights..he saw Geet and Dadima tied up on a chair with their mouth covered with tape..
Maan: Dadima Geet who did this? (Both were trying to signal him with their eyes...he didn't understand what they were saying) Don't worry I will untie you right now (they both started muffling again and tried to signal Maan)
"Don't go near them" (A voice came from behind the back..Maan turned around and saw Rohit holding Adi by a gun point)
Maan: Rohit?? You are behind this??
Rohit: Of course...now back away from them and go stand against the wall with your hands up...(Maan didn't move) MOVE! Or else I would not hesitate to kill Adi and your precious Dadima and your love (Maan did as he was told)
Maan: Why?? (Rohit pushed Adi toward Maan)
Rohit: I am Vicky's another partner (Maan and Adi were confused...Rohit laughed) sort of hidden from everyone just like how Dev was at one point until he got caught...let me explain...I have always been working with Vicky ever since the beginning...Dev was just another person we needed in case something happens to one of the girls while they try to escape...WE simply used Dev as our advantage to cover our tracks....
Adi: For money you decided to kill innocent people?
Rohit: Adi Sir I am telling a story..let me finish then you can ask questions..so where was I.. I just blended in with the crowed just like how Vicky blended in with others. I made sure that there is no strong evidence against us...but that Dev...he blew it for the both of us...so I decided to keep an eye on Maan and his next moves..to make sure there is no evidence that leads to us....I heard your conversations of keeping eye on Vicky 24/7, I told him how to get into your house, when Geet would be home alone while you are busy interrogating Dev...Vicky would've succeed killing Geet if it wasn't for Dev to spoil all the fun..that was one mistake I did...telling Dev about our next plan..so I warned Vicky about getting out of the house before Maan could come....Vicky let out Dev for jail just to use him for his benefit and than after kill him as well..for betraying him..we couldn't kill him in side the jail that wouldv'e been too obvious...poor Dev was so dumb...
Rohit (goes near Geet) I should tell you Maan (Maan looks at him with curiosity...Rohit touches Geet's cheek and caresses it..Adi had to hold Maan back with great difficulity..Maan understood that now it is not the right time to act with anger) Geet is very lucky..who would've thought that after all the beating she would be still alive..and she even managed to get out of coma..(turns and looks at Maan and Adi) I would've escape from my plans with money since Vicky and Dev are out of the way..but Adi (goes near Adi and punches him on the stomach) had to get in my way...he saw me coming out of Geet's room when I was going to kill her...so I used him to help me get Geet out of the hospital and brought everyone here...I knew you would find your way around the house soon enough
Maan: Vicky would've killed you too after he is done using you just like Dev
Rohit (laughed): yeah maybe but look who is standing here ME!
Maan: Well I don't know who is more stupid than you..even a monkey will make a wiser decision than you
Rohit (comes up to him): Well if you are so damn smart Detective Maan Singh Khurana...lets see how you play this game...who will you save first..your love or your Dadi (he stands in front of Dadima and Geet..Maan tried to come near Rohit...as soon as he made a step he heard a gun shot and heard a scream for a moment everything went numb...he looked over at Geet and Dadima..they had their eyes closed in fear..he looked over at Adi who was covered in blood holding his leg) If you take any other step closer than next time it won't be Adi..I can assure you
Maan (steps back) what do you want?
Rohit: Nothing..I am just going to kill you guys and be off...I can't have my witnesses alive now can I
Maan: Fine if you want you can kill me but let go of Adi, Geet and Dadima..they won't tell anyone...
Rohit: I am not stupid nor Dev who follows what others say...stay against the wall and help poor Adi out
Maan: Just let everyone go (he tried to step closer again but again was stopped by Rohit..he looked around the room to see if there was anything that he could grab..Adi goes near Maan and points to the carpet from underneath Rohit...Maan looks at it...he understood...Adi kept Rohit busy in talking...while Maan slowly reaches the carpet that was near him...he looks at Adi and Adi signals him to pull it...he pulls the carpet as fast as he could..which resulted in Rohit falling down on his face...Maan quickly got up and rushed up to Rohit...he removed the gun from his hand) Don't move...(Adi got up and untied Geet and Dadima) You both leave the room
Geet: Am not leaving you Maan
Maan: Geet! Get out now! (Yells at her)
Adi: Geet Maan is right..leave the room and take care of Dadima
Maan (looked at Rohit): Who is smart now? (He kicks him in his stomach) have you heard the phrase..too much greed is not good? I guess you will join Dev in hell as well...(he was about to shoot when Rohit pushed him back..Adi tries to hold Rohit but his effort went in vain as he couldn't do much)
Rohit: come on Maan..Get up (Maan gets up..he punches Rohit on the face..he stumbles back...Adi watches the guys fight while he is sitting in the corner with his bleeding leg..Maan manages to catch Rohit's punch and breaks his wrist..)
Maan: This was the same hand that you touched Geet with...(Rohit moves back while he screams in pain..Maan comes up to him and holds him by his neck) these were the eyes that you dared to hurt my family my loved ones? (He threw Rohit back against the wall..Maan goes up to him and starts kicking him...he sat there unconscious...Adi with great difficulty manages to stop Maan from killing Rohit..)
Adi: Maan stop he is unconscious..he will get what he deserves..it is a shame that a police officer will be bought like this...lets go to Geet and Dadima
As they were walking away Rohit opens his eyes and with blurry eyes...he sees Adi and Maan going to the door..he pulls his second gun out from his shoes..he points it toward Maan...gunshot sound is echoed in the room...Maan and Adi turned around and look at Rohit's dead body...Adi looks at Maan's hand holding a gun...
Adi: Maan what did you do?
Maan: I simply killed him as a self defence..look at his hand..he was going to shoot us if I haden't killed him...
Adi: It doesn't seem like you killed him for self defence
Maan: Does it really matter if I did or not..he is dead that all is matter..only one person is left now..Vicky
Adi (puts his hand on his shoulder): Court will punish Vicky...you have done your job..for now lets go..I need to get my leg fixed or else I don't want my future wife to say "main kaya karoon ram mujhe budda milgaya" he he he
Maan (puts hand around Vicky's shoulder to support him): hmm maybe a budda but you would be a himat wala budda (laughs)
Adi: Be sure to tell my wife in the future that line
Maan: Will do
They both go outside and saw Geet and Dadima sitting in the living room...Dadima came up to Maan and hugged him..
Dadima: thank god you are alright..ambulance will be here any minute now
Maan: How are you Dadima?
Dadima: Am fine now after seeing you beta
Maan looks at Geet..he goes to her and hugs her...Dadima and Adi watches both with awe...
Adi: So Dadima when is their wedding now that the danger is over? (Geet blushed hearing Adi)
Dadima: As soon as you get better
Adi: in that case I will be fine tomroow
Dadima: That is fine with me..what about you Maan?
Maan: Dadima I could get married today itself (laughs)

P.S. Guys Rohit was just a police officer who was just invincible (so to speak) like a guy in the background 😆😆 not much to say about him
