I know it must have been weird to see how NT was not taking the whole arm injury seriously...... she was annoyed but at her brother.... i had written that particular scene to give a little clearer view about NT... she might be nice and caring but she is a very practical woman, who gives more importance to the family reputation and honor...

Maan's caution and understanding toward Geet was great...luved his concern and his assessment as to the reason towards Geet's fear towards him and his family; 👏 Geet's disbelief at his kindness is sooo understandable. Though thought Nayantara shud've been more considerate about Geet's broken arm.

Lolz.... I know it's hard to imagine Maan adressing Dev as Jiju.... i contemplated about this a lot and at the end decided it is better then Maan addressing Dev as bhaiya or big bro... NT is a very complex character....

I am glad you enjoyed the whole Maaneet conversation.... I know you all want Geet to speak but it is still very soon for her to talk but I promise when she will finally speak it will be a very special scene... I have immensely enjoyed writing that one particular scene and hopefully you all will enjoy reading it when the time comes.... still few more parts to go for that but till then enjoy Geet's eye talk with Maan!

About Sasha acting... well that's something you will find out pretty soon... maybe in Part 12 or 13.... and about NT... like I have been saying NT is not a goody goody character and as Maan and Dev both believe NT had always wanted the best for her brother, she knows her brother too well so maybe she realized Sasha was not the best for her brother... 😕

It seems like everyone hated the whole family's not-so-concerned about Geet's injury.... I hope part 11 will change the sudden changed view 😆

Wow!!You really rock yaar!!

You make me wish I was Geet,a abused,innocent girl!A true mom-ki-gudiya if you know what's that! I would feel so loved!! Reading ur FF makes me realise how blessed and lucky we normal people are to have such a wonderful family who love us so much,parents who tend to our needs and also irrelevant demands just to see that smile on our faces!

I felt so touched at all the parts where NT was shown as a motherly figure.Geet's flashbacks were so cute and innocent like herself. I feel so overjoyed for Geet's newfound love and genuine concern.

At first,I thought her brothers weren't that bad because they indirectly educated her but them scaring her with those horrid descriptions of a husband was plain mean.

Geet is so cute yaar...She is just TOO cute to be true!Her looking at Maan in the morning and crying imagining things,was the cutest thing ever! Seriously! i've read other stories about domestic violence and even witnessed it but no offence to anyone,it became really annoying after some time when the authors portrayed the character as such a bechaari with really no zubaan to say anything and just tolerate all the atrocities meted out on her but I love yours a lot!!

Wow!!I have said so much!

Wow!! I've such mixed emotions on this!!

I was starting to get a little annoyed when she was so slow at everything,not responding!

But then,I realised that she comes from such a background where she wasn't even allowed to SPEAK!! I knew she can't suddenly start behaving like a normal person,full of life!I was overwhelmed when Maan was telling her that he and his family weren't bad people and they love her and all that!! I was really touched at his gesture!

I love how Maan is so patient with her.

Glad Myra is like Geet,a bookworm!

Love how Man is addressed as Pati!

I am in a daze,wondering are there REAL people so kind,maybe it's just coz people around me are really extremely mean,I guess it's only coz I'm not married yet,that too arranged-marriage!So I don't know how strangers behave with each other within days of their marriages!My point is I was so touched when Maan was bringing her to the doctor's.I just felt that Geet was so LOVED.

Wow!!NT and Dev were married for 19 years??Is she that much older than Maan??Shocked!

Hmm..just hope Geet starts talking more and of course some Maaneet romance,bechara apna first kiss bhi nahi pa paya!

How I wish she expressed herself by writing diaries and he could just read that and find out about her life but I'm sure you have a story in mind and I'm so excited to read more so pelase update soon!!

Shaila, thank you for reading my ff and liking it and really sorry about the lack of Index... I finally had the time to create an index... it's been added on the first page, second post....

Even I abhor the whole preference of boys over girls.... and the ill treatment many girls suffer from their own parents even today... I know many people have this conception that times have changed and such things don't happen anymore but they DO happen in today's era...

I admit that my ff is slightly disturbing... and since you do find it disturbing I am going to warn you now that it will get more disturbing there will be quite a few flashbacks which will display the extent of physical, mental and emotional abuse Geet endured from her family.... I will post a disclaimer if a part contains some disturbing scenes so that you readers can decide not to read those certain parts....

I never intended my readers to wish they were Geet because I certainly wouldn't want anyone to go through what Geet has suffered no matter her present and future is filled with love and happiness.... like i said I have yet to disclose about the abuse she suffered....

Finally! I get to read a comment I was waiting for! Geet is CUTE! her behavior and just little things she does was intended to be cute and innocent! 🤗 thank you for seeing Geet's character in such a light....

And coming to your statement about abused individuals.... I can only say that yes, in reality they are becharis and bezubanees but there are many cases were the abused individuals are very violent, brash and just mean.... okay I am confused you like my ff despite it being like all the other stories you have read in which the abused person is portrayed as bechari and has no zubaan or or you like my ff because my abused character is portrayed different?.... 😕

I don't know whether you have read fanfictions about domestic violence and such or you have read actual fiction/nonfiction novels on such subjects... but well since you pointed it out i realize Geet IS kinda bechari and bezoobani.... BUT if you read further, the future parts that I am yet to post then you will get a more clearer view of how and why Geet is bezoobani.....

I am a psychology student and well... I read a lot of nonfiction books, almost all of them are about child abuse and the effect it has on the victim and how every person comes out as a different individual; some end up being abusers themselves, some overcome it and live a normal life and some gets lost in the darkness... anyways... all I can say is that this ff focuses on an abused girl and her journey as she steps Out of Darkness and Enters into Light. This is a story about how patience, love, and care can change a person...

The one assurance I can give you is that, I am keeping this ff very realistic, Geet character will grow steadily, her transition will be a slow process and it will be done step by step....

Shaila, there are people out their who are as abusive as Geet's father and brothers but there are also people like Naintara and her family..... It is because of individuals like Naintara and Maan that victims of abuse are not completely lost... the care and love bestowed by such nice people helps the abused victims to overcome their abusive past and the trauma they went through.... and I am saying this because I have read a lot of nonfiction books.... if you are a reader and can handle reading about physical and sexual violence then read the novels of Cathy Glass.... she writes true stories about the fosters kids that came into her care.....

I will stop my long reply here because I realize I have just written too much.... 😳 😆
