FF: Geet-The Song of Life (note pg 35) - Page 8

Hey guys. Here's the next instalment to Chapter 2. I know it's short but I really should be studying and can't afford to procrastinate for too long. Nonetheless I hope you enjoy it.

Maan walks into arrivals section and waits at the back of the crowd, keeping his eyes peeled for his younger siblings. This is going to be fun, he thought. Watching the walkway, he finally spotted his little devils, deep in conversation.

"I really hope Maan veerji's here to pick us up. I can't believe we havn't seen him in a month, feels like eons," said Sakhi, stretching her neck to see if she can spot Maan.

"I wouldn't count on it, you know how busy he gets during the summer. The staff are constantly looking for excuses to take days off during this weather." Vicky replied whilst updating his facebook status: Back in India, anyone up for a gathereing?.

"Vicky! Get off that phone for once and help me look for veerji!" exclaimed Sakhi, still craning her neck.

Vicky and Sakhi had now made their way through the crowd and where heading out the door to the taxi stand. In the meantime, Maan had kept his eyes on the two and was following them discretely. After calling Maan's cell a few times and not receiving a respond the twins decided to just hire a cab and make their way home.

"I'm soo angry, I'm not going to speak to him for a whole month," exaggerated Sakhi. Vicky just stared at his phone and nodded. The horde of comments from his female following was going to keep him preoccupied for a while. Before they could make their way towards a taxi, a driver walked towards them and asked them if they needed a taxi. Recieving an approval he picked up their bags and asked them to follow him. Once seated Vicky notified the driver of their destination, Khurana Manor.

Maan watched silently as the taxi pulled away.

The twins both got distracted by their phones and failed to realise the direction the taxi was heading towards. After twenty minutes Sakhi looked out the window to see unfamiliar surroundings. "Vicky...vicky! she exclaimed, whilst taking a hold of his arm, "where are we?!"

"You stress too much Sakhi, we're on our way home," Vicky replied calmly, typing feverishly on his new iphone.

"No, we're not! This isn't the way home you fool, look outside! Aye mister driver, where are you taking us?! Turn around this instant before I call the police! Or worse, Maan veerji, she thought.

Finally looking up Vicky observed their surroundings; in the meantime the driver had started to accelerate, speeding his way through the traffic and narrow lanes. Coming to his senses Vicky bellowed, "Stop the car this instant!" However the driver ignored the demand and pushed harder on the acceleration, his eyes darting wildly between the rear-view mirror and the road ahead.

"Vicky, make him stop!" exclaimed Sakhi, the panic now rising in her voice.

"What am I supposed to do Sakhi?! If I attack him we're going to have an accident, and at the speed he's going we'll probably die during it!"

"I don't know, just do something!"

"Why don't you do something!" shouted Vicky whilst glowering at her.

In the meantime the car had slowed down and pulled up in front of a shabby old cottage. Before Sakhi and Vicky could begin to comprehend the events transpiring around them , the driver flung open his door and ran around the cottage to the back.

"I'm scared Vicky, where the hell are we?" shakily whispered Sakhi.

"How the *#@* am I supposed to know?! shouted Vicky.

Suddenly Sakhi's phone rang, making the both of them jump. Rubbing her head from it's impact with the car roof, Sakhi slowly looked at the caller id; private number. Glancing at Vicky, who nodded at her, she answered the call.

"Hh...hello?"

"Follow my orders and no one gets hurt," replied a muffled voice.

"Who is this?"

"Just do as I say Sakhi, before I lose my patience."

"Sakhi, who is it?" questioned Vicky, watching Sakhi's horrified face.

"I don't know," she replied, the tears brimming in her eyes.

"Get out of the taxi and walk into the cottage. If I have to ask one more time you will feel the full extent of my wrath," the voice on the phone snarled. "NOW!"

Disconnecting the call, Sakhi filled Vicky in.

"I think we should go inside, the taxi's almost out of petrol so we won't even be able to drive very far and calling someone won't help considering we don't even know where we are," reasoned Vicky, and added "it's not like we don't know how to defend ourselves.

Slowly the twins made their way towards the cottage and squeaked open the front door.

Is the vast amount of light a flash from someones camera. I think that Maan knows all about it :D But you are the writer, so we will have to wait and see.....
