PART 13

Sid : Why are you so bothered and it's my personal life and I am not answerable to anyone, especially you!

Riddhima : Yes! You are answerable to me! I am your wife!

Sid : Last thing i know is i gave you the divorce paper and you are marrying Armaan.

Riddhima : But i didn't sign the paper, i didn't marry Armaan and i am still your wife!

Sid : So? If you didn't marry Armaan it's your problem! I am not a highway dhaba that you can walk-in and leave anytime at your will.

Riddhima : Now what! You are mad at me because i didn't marry Armaan!?

Sid : Yes, you love him, you can only love him and so you better be with him!

Shilpa stood there for a while confused whether to leave or not. A little later she decided to leave the two fighting married couples alone. Besides Armaan's name was really taunting her. Sid and Riddhima were so much involved in the argument that they didn't even see Shilpa sneaking out.

Riddhima : I DONT LOVE ARMAAN I LOVE YOU!

Sid : "Yeah right...! Whom are you kidding Riddhima!? I heard your conversation in the locker room." Sid's face dropped when he remembered their conversation in the locker room.

Riddhima saw how hurt he was even when he talked about it. She wanted to hug him and comfort him but she had to clear everything to him one last time.

Riddhima : Ok Sid... Now you have to listen to me with a calm and clear head...
She took his hand and made him sit on one of the chair. She then knelt before him, took his hand in hers and continued.

"It will always be a fact that Armaan was my 1st love. But i loved him when i myself didn't know what love was! Armaan always even now hurt himself if things doesn't go in his way. Everytime i say something he will indulge in dangerous sports like bike racing and street fighting end end up getting hurt badly. I couldn't see someone getting hurt so badly because of me. In a way he forced me to fall in love with him and i fell. Slowly i got so used to him being with me and so i couldn't see him going away from me. I am not saying i never loved him but i did love him.

Riddhima clutched Sid's arm tight while pouring her heart out. Sid had his head bent refusing to look into her eyes as she spoke.

But if what i had for Armaan is love then i dunno what to call my feelings for you. All i know is what i feel for you i never felt it for Armaan... It's like our souls are connected. If Armaan was my lover then you are my soulmate. Sid... if Armaan made me fall in love it's you who thought me the meaning of love... you loved me unconditionally without expecting anything back. You never forced me to confess, you never indulged in dangerous stunts to grab my attention. You never did anything to make me confess to you... yet.. your simple gestures... loving words... the care and warmth you provided me is louder than any words spoken. May be it's because the words were missing that i didn't even know when i fell in love with you... i love you... whole heartedly... from the bottom of my heart..!

She continued after a pause

I stopped you from going inside the room (oxygen leak) because my soul refused to let you go. It knew i wouldn't survive if anything happens to you. I survived without Armaan but i never would have survived without you....

Armaan obviously felt bad because i didn't stop him... i didn't want him to feel i don't care about him because then he will end up doing something to himself. I just wanted to stop him from doing anything of that sort and so i told him whatever you heard in the locker room. I told him "what he wanted to hear" so that he will stop his self destructing way. I felt that's the only way Armaan will move on in life.

In the tent i was expecting you... i really thought it was you... When i realized it's Armaan before i could stop him he pulled me into our past and i fell for it. But it's it's because of the strength of your love that i could retrieve from his clutch....

I am sorry Sid... I know i have hurt you so badly... but give my one last chance Sid... One last chance to be Mrs Siddhant Modi again... Please..."

She started sobbing resting her head on his lap. Sid caressed her hair to console her.

Sid : Then why did you almost end up marrying Armaan...?

Riddhima : "Because i am a stupid silly female... I realized your value and worth in my life only when i couldn't feel you near me... I guess i always took you for granted.... Ever since you left me i was thinking of everything that happened.... searching for an answer for everything.... while doing it i found the ultimate truth of my life... that i am hopelessly in love with my husband...." She kissed his hand as she said that.

Sid : "So now aren't you worried about Armaan...?"

Riddhima : "No... I am just worried about us.... our future... that if we will ever have one together... May be i am being selfish here but i don't wanna think about anyone else but you.... I will not allow anyone to play with my emotions anymore and will never allow anyone to come between us..."

Sid slowly lifted her head from his lap and got up from there. Wiped his tears before Riddhima could see him do that.

He turned his back towards her and continued : "I really dunno...."
He thought in his mind 'i am just scared you might leave me again and go'

Riddhima was now irritated. She stood on her feet while saying : "You dunno? What you mean you dunno? Are you deaf!? Didin't you hear what i just said?"

Sid was taken aback by her reaction. He retorted : "I am not deaf but you are crazy! Are you taking drugs!? You defintely sound like one"

Riddhima : aghhh i just poured my heart out in front of you and you are saying i am crazy? that i am saying all these on drugs??

Sid : OH HELLO!! You cant blame me for thinking like that especially the way you have been acting since few weeks!

Riddhima realized Sid has every reason to doubt her so she kept her calm. She knew it's really difficult to trust a person who has broken your trust badly. She knew the only way to erase his doubts is by showering him with her love. She knew love is the only medicine that can cure this Sid.

Riddhima thought 'fine Siddhant Modi! Keep throwing tantrum, but i will win you back. All this while you have been fighting for our marriage but this time you take a backseat while i fight for my love and my marriage!'

She walked towards the door.

"Now where you going" asked a confused Sid

"awww my cute doc will miss me? Here take this" she blew him a kiss and continued "i'll be on the terrace. Meet me there once you are done for the day.... i'll miss you..." she winked while blewing him another kiss and walked out."

The smile was back on Sid's face! He kept his hands on his hip, looked up and said "Dude...! What's happening"! ;)

He resumed his duty soon. He caught up with Shilpa in the midst and and told everyhting that happened. He then thanked her for playing her part to perfection!

Shilpa : Thanks wont do jeej! I want a big treat! But i'll wait till you both get back..! Oh by the way! I won ok! I told you the love i could see in di's eyes were for you...!

Sid grinned "hmm... but i am not gonna give in so easily! She will have to work harder! He winked at Shilpa.

They both laughed, chatted for a while before indulging in some serious works.

It was almost 9 in the evening. Sid usually drops Shilpa to her hostel before going to his apartment. As usual he was waiting in his car for Shilpa to join her. Shilpa came and stood near the car and asked "Aren't you supposed to meet Riddhima di on terrace? She will be waiting for you!"

Sid : "I know let she wait! it's her punishment"

Shilpa : "Sid...! That's not good"!

Sid : "Get in Shilpa! After what she did to me don't i deserve to give it back to her a little"?

Shilpa sat in the car sulking.

ANd they drove off.

Meanwhile Riddhima was waiting impatiently for Sid when she saw him driving off with Shilpa without meeting her! She felt terrible. She felt as though someone was poking her heart with a needle!

Riddhima thought 'No.. i wont give up so easily... 'She went and sat on the parapet staring at the sky.

Sid was sitting in the balcony of his apartment recollecting todays every moment. It was toooo good to be true, He just couldn't stop smiling. All the kisses and the way Riddhima cleared all his doubts... he just couldn't get over it. He continued to smile sheepishly thinking everything over and over again but soon got over it when it started snowing!

Sid : "it's snowing! Unusual! It hardly snows here...!" He decided to call it quits and was about to go to his room when remembered the snowfall in Panchgani! The night when Riddhima almost gave up to hypothermia. He became so tensed. "i hope she is safe and sound at home...! But what if she is still there on the terrace...!" The thought of a frozen Riddhima scared him! He took his car keys and rushed to hospital.

Meanwhile in the hospital couple of ward-boys were making sure all the doors and windows of the hospital were closed. One of them reached the terrace and was surprised to see a girl there..!

"Hey mate! Have a look! We have a chika here" said WB1

WB2 : Good lord she is hawt!

Riddhima was so engrossed in Sid's thought that she was taken aback when she saw two men ogling at her from a distance.

She turned her back towards them as she looked for a shelter to escape from the snow. She peeped at the men again and their stare started creeping her out. She avoided them completely, closed her eyes tightly and started praying.

By then Sid reached the terrace. The guys saw him coming and left the place in a hurry. Sid gave them a dirty look. He walked towards Riddhima who was still in the same position.

He saw the way she had closed her eyes tightly and the prayer on her lips. He smiled inwardly and decided to scare her a bit. He without making and sound came close to her and laid his hand on her waist.

Riddhima quicky turned around and kicked him hard on his shin thinking it's one of the creepy men!

"owwww oww owww RIDDHIMAAAAA" Riddhima looked at him astonished as he cried in pain. He lost his balance and was about to fall when Riddhima caught him. But his weight made her off balance and the two hit the floor. Just the way it happened in Panchgani.

They laid on the floor in each others arm as their eyes locked and the snow continued to fall.
