Soon Heer was asleep after taking her medicines. Prem's first action was to call Meher and ask her if she knows that what is bothering Heer and whom was she trying to protect. Did she have any child more any sibling that he was not aware of. When Meher said no she and Heer were the only siblings of their parents Prem further told her what he got to know from Heer. Meher was shocked to hear that Heer was trying to protect someone but who? It was high time Prem decided to take matters in his hands.

In evening Prem was no close to finding a way to solve Heer's problem when his phone rang. When recognized the caller id he muttered a oath and growled 'What. This better be good.'

The person 'Nice way to talk to your wife Prem.'

Prem 'Sanjana what do you want. I don't have time for formalities. '

Sanjana 'aww darling I hope you have all the time in the world for your wife.'

Prem 'you are not my wife anymore. I gave you a divorce two years ago. So don't you ever try to remind me that you were my wife.'

Sanjana 'whatever you say Prem wont change our relation. You remember you were head over heels in love with me. How can I forget your passion. I miss that'.

Prem 'Sanjana if you have anything important to say just blurt it out otherwise find someone else to your charm on.'

Sanjana 'Ok I will come straight to point. Prem I need money and I have no one to turn to except you'.

Prem 'Sanjana don't you dare try that charm on me, I am immune to it and learned my lesson a hard way. And where the matter of this money is concerned don't expect a single penny from me. I am sure there are many on whom you can use your magic on and they will be able to give you money willingly. And don't even try to bother me again.'

As soon as he disconnected the phone he turned aroung to see Heer standing wide eyed in the hall. From her expression Prem knew that she heard everything.

Heer ' I am sorry I should have listened. Its your personal matter. I just woke up and heard someone talking very loudly on phone. I came out and saw you. I tried to return back to room but could not my feet could not move as if frozen to spot. I am really sorry. I should leave probably you need some time alone.'

She turned to return to her room when Prem stopped her.

Prem 'Heer wait. Don't say sorry you have done nothing wrong. Its high time I share my darkest secret with some who understands me and I trust you more than my life. I know my secret will be safe with you. I can't bear this burden alone anymore. I vent it out all. Come sit here. Would like some tea or coffee to drink before I start.'

When Heer denied anything he started' I was married to Sanjana 3 years ago. I met her during a fund raiser program she was organizing. At that time all I could see was young beautiful vulnerable woman struggling to make a place for herself in the society. I gave a huge donation for the cause and was invited to a formal dinner at posh restaurant by Sanjana herself in return for the huge sum. I agreed immediately because I liked the young free spirited Sanjana. She reminded me of the days I struggled to get myself to this position. On that first dinner we struck off well and gradually we started seeing each other more often. I never realized when this simple friendship turned to love. Our liking and disliking were same, we used to think on same lines. I was so love struck I couldn't see beyond that golden cloud what was the reality behind. Even my parents liked her a lot. It was like some kind of magic has been casted and everyone who near and dear to me was being spun into that ugly magic. Soon after dating for two months we got married. It was a bliss for first few months and then things started changing. I noticed Sanjana's attitude changed from the sweet caring kind girl to menacing money minded b****. Whenever I used to get home from office she never used to be at home. I used to dine alone waiting for her. She used to be late every night. I thought maybe she is behaving like that because I haven't given her enough time after we returned from our honeymoon. One day I decided to surprise her and cancelled all my meeting for two days. I planned to spend my entire two days with her showing her how much I am sorry for not paying much attention to her and how much I love her. I returned home early and found no one was there in dining room. I softly treaded upstairs thinking she might be there sleeping in late. I thought of joining her. I was about to enter our bedroom when I heard giggling voices from the spare bedroom. I went there and stopped dead in track when I found her in bed with my cousin Gaurav. I must have made a noise when they both turned and found me there. I couldn't react to anything it was like someone pushed me from a cliff and falling and falling and no one to pull me back. I immediately threw both of them out and signed for divorce. Gaurav was a business partner in my firm and I chucked him out. They both couldn't bear the insult and gave false story to the newspapers. I guess Juneja name in newspapers was more than enough to affect my life in every possible way it can. They accused me of being the fraud here and a cheater. Sanjana accused me of cheating her on her back saying that I never used to come home on time because I was busying having a string of affairs with other women. Gaurav said he caught me stealing money from company account and when he threatened me that he will tell everyone I chucked him out of fear. All my relatives believed those two except my own parents. They believed there son. Soon after two weeks of this scandal I got news that my parents got killed in a car accident. Everyone said it was a accident but I know deep within that it wasn't. I was sure because my parents told me that they got threatening calls once or twice stating that they should dismiss me from company and sell it. And after that they should deposit this money in an unknown bank account in Miami somewhere. We never cared for such calls but after the accident I hired private detectives to dig out all the dirt behind this accident. Later we came to know it was Gaurav who did this but no one had any clue to get him arrested. I was so angry to loose only thing dear to me ' my parents I did something I should have never done. I got Gaurav killed in a jungle and it looked like that wild animals attacked him. It was slow painful death and he deserved it. I was abonded by everyone in my family. Then I met Meher and she and you are my only family alive.'

When he finished he noticed that his cheeks were wet and he was damn sure Heer must have left somewhere in between. When he turned back he saw her there and tears were flowing out of her eyes like river let loose.

I love the first one... All about PH! sad that Prem had to indure a lot in his own life...
