"Hello Viewers and Welcome to a new episode of 'Lives Of A Celebrity'. I am your host, Amy. Today's celebrities are going to be a surprise for the audience since we had not revealed whom we would interview today. So, prepared for the shock? Today we have in the studio the celebrities who gained lots of fans through the simple characters they played in a college show four years ago. So let me welcome Mr. Arjun Bijlani and Mrs. Rati Bijlani."
The camera moved to the couple sitting next to each other on a sofa. They were dressed simply-Rati in blue jeans and a black top; Arjun in blue jeans and a black t-shirt. They looked absolutely stunning. They each had a baby in their arms.
A & R: Hi Amy.
Me: Hi and welcome to Lives Of A Celebrity.
A & R: Thanks. They said it simultaneously then looked at each other and smiled.
Me: So, ready to be grilled with questions? Now I must warn you that the questions are going to be personal so please don't take offence.
Arjun: Oh no, don't worry. Just bring it on. He laughed.
Me: Thanks. So the first question. What have you guys been up to lately, considering your last show ended quite a while back?
Rati: Umm well. Nothing much. We are planning to take up shows soon but we also have a family business which Arjun runs and manages and I help him out where necessary. I mostly stay at home with the kids though. She pointed to the babies in her and Arjun's arms.
Me (smiling): Okay, that is great. Twins, right?
Arjun (with pride in his voice): Yup. Three months old now. A girl and a boy. Arti and Mayur.
Me: Wow! Belated Congratulations to both of you.
A & R (smiling broadly): Thanks.
Me: So, why did you name them Arti and Mayur? As far as I know those are the names your fans have given you, right?
Rati: And that is the very reason we used those names. Both of us believe our fans have done a lot for us. So this was one way of appreciating their support and love for us. And well both those names are quite close to our hearts as well. Arti is a mixture of our real names and Mayur is the mixture of the two names that gave us a lot in life and brought us together as well. She blushed a little.
Me: I see. So how did you become a couple? From what I remember you always used to deny dating each other. All your fans used to get crazy wondering and speculating. Even when you started your new show after Miley Jab Hum Tum ended you still maintained that you were good friends and nothing more.
Rati: Actually we had been dating since Miley Jab Hum Tum. But we chose to keep it under wraps. We did not want it to become a big issue. No one really knew about it. Not even our parents. Our brothers guessed it, though.
Arjun: Yeah. We believed that the more people know about it, the more harm it can cause to our relation. So we just let it stay low. Though we did follow what our fans were saying and discussing about us, especially on India Forums and Facebook. We have quite a few crazy fans there. They all wanted us together desperately and we really wished we could tell them the truth at that time but we could not risk it. We used to fight a lot and most of those fights were caused by misunderstandings that other people had caused. So there came a time when we both decided we would keep things low and that way avoid issues that would lead to fights between us. And we were successful. He smiled.
Me: Very sensible of you. So do you guys still fight?
A & R: Of course. They looked at each other and laughed.
Rati: We still fight and argue a lot because we are both strong-headed and like to have our own ways most of the times. But then making up is the best part. She smiled and looked at Arjun, blushing.
Me (teasingly): Ohhh.
Arjun: In a tone full of laughter. Well, we believe fights are healthy in a relation. They help a relation grow stronger. I mean, even when we were dating, we realized that after every fight and misunderstanding, we grew closer and stronger. And that is good, right?
Me: Yeah, that is great. If a fight helps sort things out then why not?
We all laughed.
Me: So, how exactly did you guys arrive at the marriage decision and all?
Arjun: Well, as we said we started dating while doing Miley Jab Hum Tum and it continued till the next show we did after Miley Jab. We knew we wanted to end up together for life but none of us mentioned it. Then four months into our new show, I could not stand it any longer and proposed to her officially and she accepted. We talked to our parents who were happy with our happiness and in the next two months we got married.
Rati: Right. And it has been a great time for us. She looked at Arjun. Right?
Arjun: Put his arm around Rati and pulled her close. Right.
They had matching smiles on their faces and were glowing with the love they had for each other.
Me: I pray both of you always remain like this.
A&R: Smiling.Thanks, Amy.
Rati: It is sweet of you to wish that for us.
Me: Okay, so next question. What is the best gift you have given each other till date?
Arjun: Well, for me, the best gifts Rati has given me are...herself and our kids. He tightened his arm around the baby he was holding. Of course there are other things also she has gifted me. He looked at Rati and gave her a naughty look. Rati blushed. But our kids are the best. He smiled widely. And as for materialistic gifts, I would say the best has been a personalized gift pack that had a wallet, a watch and a keychain that all had my name on them in block letters made of metal. I always carry the wallet in fact. He removed a wallet from his pocket that was made of dark brown leather and had his name on one side and showed it to me.
Me: Wow! That is nice.
Arjun: She has a great choice. It is no wonder she married me. He laughed.
Rati: Arjun!! She looked at him shocked.
He laughed some more and putting his arm around her shoulders, hugged her close again.
I laughed looking at them.
Me: Okay. Rati, what are the best gifts Arjun has given you?
Rati: It would sound weird but I have the same answers. The best gifts would be himself and our kids. And materialistic, I love every gift he gives me but what matters most to me is his thought behind the gifts. She smiled sweetly.
Me: That is sweet. I smiled.
Arjun: She never tells me all this you know. So I have to thank you for this interview.
Rati: Laughing, she looked at Arjun. Everything doesn't need to be said, Mr. Bijlani. I know you read my eyes well. They looked at each other, smiling, and got lost into each other for a while.
I cleared my throat and they both quickly looked at me and blushed.
Arjun: Sorry. Carry on.
Rati: Yeah, do carry on.
Me: Okay, I think it is time for a break. So, let us take a break and we will be back with this beautiful couple in no time. You are watching, Lives of a Celebrity with Amy and Arjun and Rati Bijlani.

Me: Welcome back to Lives of a Celebrity. In today's case, celebrities.
The camera zooms to Arjun and Rati who now don't have their kids with them.
Rati: Sorry, we had to send the babies home. They were getting fidgety.
Me: It's okay. I understand.
Rati: Thanks.
Me: So, should we continue?
Arjun: Yeah, sure.
Me: Great, then. Okay, something about your talent now. Whom do you think is better in acting than the other?
A&R: At the same time. Him. Her.
Arjun: She is just being modest.
Rati: No, I am not. I honestly think he is way better than me. Actually I feel he is the best in the industry and I know I am not biased.
Me: Okay, so you both think that the other is better than you. That's nice. In my opinion, both of you are equally great.
A&R: Thanks. Smiling.
Me: Your chemistry with each other has been loved immensely since you were doing Miley Jab Hum Tum and you know that I am sure. So what is the secret?
Arjun: We are both talented, that is one of the reasons. And we hit it off with each other from the very start. Secondly, we started dating each other. That increased the chemistry between us. The comfort level even became better. Even we noticed that when we watched our videos.
Me: Alright. While shooting for intimate sequences, your chemistry sizzles even more. What do you have to say about that?
They both smiled.
Arjun: Intimate sequences. Hmmm. My best is Pehli Baar Mohabbat till to date. It was in Miley Jab Hum Tum. Actually it is pretty hard to shoot intimate sequences. Although there are very less people around there to ensure we don't get uncomfortable, but in our case, it was even harder. I used to be afraid that I don't get carried away while performing.
Rati: Blushing hard. Yeah. I used to pray that we don't get carried away otherwise it would get embarrassing. While performing I always used to keep telling myself that there are people around and that we are just acting. We were dating each other already so it was...Our sequences looked way realistic, even to us. Anyone watching with a keen eye would know there was more to it than just acting. And when I watched the Pehli Baar Mohabbat video after it was shot, I kept telling Arjun, 'What if people figure out about us? It is so obvious from that video.' And he just calmed me down telling me nothing would happen and I did not have to worry. Fortunately, no one on the show team commented so I assumed no one realized that it was more than acting. Our fans realized it though. And I was shocked to read their comments on IF. But it felt good that we were being appreciated.
Me: I see. So there was never a time when you got carried away, right?
Arjun: Welll...Almost carried away. But never fully, thank God.
Me: Ohhh! Would it sound like an invasion of privacy if I asked what sequence that was?
Arjun: Laughed. It was Pehli Baar Mohabbat only. And please don't ask me the reason. I don't know how and why it happened. Rati actually had to push me slightly to get me out of the trance.
Rati: Yeah. I scolded him later when we were alone. I had to pretend I wasn't carried away also. But he figured it out and when we left the sets after the shoot, he cheekily asked me, 'Even you forgot that it was Nupur in that song, didn't you?' I recall not having an answer for him and him laughing his head off.
Me: I saw that sequence also, by the way. And it is one of my best videos too.
Rati: That's sweet. Arjun told me you are a great fan of ours too.
Me: Yeah, I am. I have loved you guys since I saw you in Miley Jab Hum Tum. I could especially relate to Nupur and I kept dreaming of a guy like Mayank. And I am sure most of the girls out there were in the same boat as me.
Arjun: Well I wish you get a Mayank in your life, if you don't already have him.
Me: Laughed. Thanks Arjun. Okay so now, let me introduce two more guests to this gathering and ask them some questions too.
Rati: Guests? Anyone we know?
Me: Of course. They are two people who are close to you. So let's welcome the brothers of this beautiful duo, Niranjan and Rakesh.
Niranjan and Rakesh walked in. They hugged Arjun and Rati and sat on an armchair on either side of the sofa. Niranjan sat on Rati's side and Rakesh sat on Arjun's side.
Me: Hi, Niranjan and Rakesh. Welcome to the show.
N&R: Thanks, Amy.
Niranjan: It's a pleasure being here. I know bro and bhabhi are groaning inwardly because their secrets are going to be revealed.
Me: Really? You know their secrets, huh?
Rakesh: You have no idea.
Niranjan and Rakesh laughed. Arjun just shook his head and Rati gave Rakesh a glare.
Me: Well, then. Let the secrets get revealed.
Niranjan: Sure. Let the fun begin.
Arjun: Fun? You think revealing secrets is fun?
Rakesh: Chill, Jeej. We won't say out ALL the secrets.
Niranjan: Yeah, just the important ones.
Niranjan and Rakesh laughed again.
Me: Okay then. Whom do you love from Arjun and Rati?
Niranjan: Oh, bhabhi, anytime. She always supports me and gangs up with me against bro and I love that about her. It's like she is my second mum. He bent and hugged her close. She smiled and hugged him back.
Rati: Yeah I always tell mum I have three kids. Niranjan is my eldest followed by the twins.
Rakesh: I love Jeej more and for the same reason. He gangs up with me against sis. Those are the best times. You should see her fuming and storming out to tell Mummy about us. Before she used to fight back with me and we have gotten into pillow fights many a times. But after marriage, she can't do much because Jeej is on my side so she ends up complaining to my mum. Laughed.
Niranjan: Oh then bro has to make her feel better and make it up to her, you know.
Rakesh: Laughed loudly. What?!
Niranjan: Yeah. It's true.
Arjun: Embarrassed. Okay. Can we move on from this topic, please?
N&R: Laughed. No.
Rati: Yeah, please. Amy, ask something else.
Me: Okay, then. What is it that you love about your brother and sister the most?
Rakesh: Sis may fight with me but when it comes to loving me, I always say she loves me even more than my mum does. She has this ability to read my mind and she has always been there for me whenever I need her. I don't think I could ask for a better sister than her. I can never see her cry. And I know she will use this against me in our next fight.
Arjun: Rakesh, you are dead meat. Wait for some strong emotional blackmail soon. On the other hand, I know Rati well and she is not the kind who would win a fight using emotional blackmail. She is a strong woman, right love?
Arjun and Rati looked at each other and smiled.
Me: Niranjan, what about you? What do you love the most about Arjun?
Niranjan: Actually, I am what I am because of my brother. He has always made sure that I never lack anything in life. I always get what I need immediately I mention it, or sometimes even before I mention it. He is the best and I, too, can't ever ask for a better brother than him and I have told him that very many times before.
Me: That is sweet. I pray you guys always remain the same way. Loving and caring.
All four: Thanks Amy.
Me: So now, from the emotional talk to the fun talk. What is the most embarrassing thing you guys have come across regarding Arjun and Rati?
Rati: No, please. Not this question.
Arjun: Amy, could you please ask something else?
Niranjan: No ways! This is the best question of this interview. I bet your fans would love to know about this too.
Rakesh: Yeah. I have already decided what I am going to mention.
Rati: Oh No!
Me: It's okay, Rati. It can't be that bad.
Arjun: You have NO idea what they will mention. The two of us know it and that is why we are dreading it.
Niranjan: Oh come on, bro. We will just say the truth, nothing else.
Arjun: That is exactly what Rati and I fear.
Niranjan and Rakesh laughed.
Niranjan: Let Rakesh go first.
Me: Okay, Rakesh. You first.
Rakesh: Rubbing his hands in glee and winking at Niranjan. This was actually before Sis and Jeej got married. So as you probably know, their apartments were within walking distance of each other. Now that particular day I came to Mumbai and planned to surprise Sis. So I called Niranjan to pick me up from the airport and asked him whether Sis was over at their house or not. So Niranjan told me she wasn't and I assumed she would be at her house. Now what Niranjan did not tell me was that Jeej was also not at his home.
Niranjan burst out laughing at this and Rati hid her face in Arjun's shoulder. Arjun was blushing and was looking at the floor continuously.
Rakesh: Anyways, I dropped off at home and I knew where Sis kept the spare key so I made an entry into the house and headed to her room straight away. And what do I see?
Niranjan burst out laughing again.
Me: And what did you see?
Niranjan: Go on, Rakesh. What did you see, dude?
Rakesh: Laughing. Sorry, Sis and Jeej. I have to say this. Well, I walked into her room and I saw her lying on the bed with Jeej straddling her and holding her arms above her head asking her to say sorry for something she had done. Honestly, I was so shocked because I had never expected to see something like that. I knew they were dating each other but coming across such all of a sudden...I was frozen for a few seconds and then I burst out laughing and that is when they noticed me. And the rest, as they say, is history.
Niranjan and Rakesh burst out laughing and so did Arjun and Rati, amongst a lot of blushing.
Me: Laughing. And this history would be?
Rakesh: Well, them getting mega embarrassed and getting out of that bed and then not being able to look at me or each other, followed by Sis making a hasty retreat into her bathroom and Jeej murmuring that he had to go somewhere and rushing out of the house. Apparently he had walked to her apartment because I had not seen his car in the parking lot or anything. And then followed by a huge amount of teasing because this news went straight to Niranjan.
Me: Okay, that was one hell of an embarrassing moment.
Arjun: Yeah, we know. They haven't let us live it down till today.
Rati: It was really bad. And now I am dreading what Niranjan has to say.
Niranjan: Cheekily. Oh, come on, Bhabhi. That incident was not that bad. At least you were already married to each other by then.
Arjun: And is that supposed to make it any less embarrassing?
Niranjan: Burst out laughing. Of course, bro. At least what you were caught doing had an official stamp on it already.
Rati blushed even more and Arjun shook his head before motioning with his hand to carry on.
Me: Is it that embarrassing? If it is, then we had rather not discuss it, yeah.
A&R: Happily. Yeah, please.
Niranjan: Not fair. You listened to what Rakesh had to say. I should get the same right, shouldn't I?
Me: Okay, carry on, then.
Arjun groaned.
Niranjan: Okay so the incident I came across was just a few weeks after their marriage. They were to leave for their honeymoon the next day, I guess. So anyways, Bro had asked me to get a few things for him from the mall and I was just going to give him the stuff. And at that time I was so used to entering their room without knocking. It had been a bachelor's room until a few weeks back. So I just entered the room and there was no one in the room so I put the stuff on the bed and was just going to move out and suddenly the bathroom door opened and Bhabhi came out fully clothed but fully drenched followed by Bro who was drenched but in a towel. Bhabhi was grumbling at Bro and they suddenly noticed me. I was as shocked as they were but I recovered and my first reaction was of course, to laugh. Oh boy! Bro blasted me for not knocking and threw me out of the room that very moment. I recall seeing Bhabhi's red face the last before Bro closed the door on my face.
Rakesh and I laughed and Arjun and Rati blushed.
Arjun: Amy, please tell me this interview will be edited.
Me: Don't worry, Arjun. It will be edited. You are safe.
Rati: Thank God for small mercies. Looking at Niranjan and Rakesh. You two wait till we get home.
Niranjan, Rakesh and Arjun laughed.
Arjun: You two are dead meat.
Me: Hmm, nice moments. It is such moments that always make us smile when we remember them.
Arjun: Yeah, you are right. They were embarrassing but they all add up to sweet memories. Smiling at Rati. Right, Mrs. Bijlani?
Rati smiled and nodded.
Me: So let's go on then. Arjun and Rati, what is the biggest issue you people fought over?
Arjun: Biggest issue. Actually there was no issue. Our biggest fight was before our marriage and it was actually caused by a misunderstanding. It was just a miscommunication sort of thing. She got to know something else and I got to know something else and we could not get proper time to communicate because of our schedules and we were already frustrated from before because we weren't getting proper time with each other. And we both believed such things can't be sorted over the phone also so it was a huge mess. It caused us to misunderstand each other. Plus our egos. Real bad.
Rati: Yeah I remember being so angry that I wanted to tear something apart piece by piece with my bare hands.
Arjun: Smiling. That something preferably being me. But she loves me too much to do any harm to me.
Rati: Laughing. It is true. But I was so angry. I don't recall ever being that angry all my life. But then, these two brothers of ours came to know about it and they planned to get us to meet in the middle of the night and sort our issues. They took us to the beach and left us there together until we sorted our problems. It took us till dawn to talk and sort everything out properly and when we realized it was just all a misunderstanding, we had a good laugh about it.
Niranjan: Yeah, man. They were both so irritable that time that we would bear the brunt of anything that went slightly wrong. Luckily, Rakesh was in town so I called him up and we decided to get these two together at a deserted place where they would have no option but to sort things out. And we dropped them off at the beach and left them there alone and went away with the cars.
Rakesh: The hardest thing was getting them to agree to come with us. I had to lie to Sis that I wanted to talk to her and she was so adamant wanting to know what was it I wanted to talk about that I had to take her out of the house at that time of the night. It was past midnight, I guess.
Niranjan: I told Bro I wanted to show him something and it could not wait at all. He was refusing and I was practically dragging him out of his room. He probably thought an insane demon had taken over me.
Arjun: Laughing. Yeah, you should have seen the way he was dragging me out of my room. He did not give me time to wear a shirt also. He took me to the beach in my vest and tracks.
Rati: And I was in my PJs.
Arjun: She looks pretty cute in them, by the way. Winks at Rati.
Rati smiles, blushes and nudges Arjun in the ribs.
Rati: So that is how we sorted our biggest misunderstanding. The rest have all been small fights, you know the normal couple ones.
Me: So basically, your brothers got you both to sort your issues. That is nice.
Rati: Yeah we both thanked them later and treated them to dinner also.
Me: Okay, so Arjun, what is the first song that comes to mind when someone mentions Rati?
Arjun: Actually I can relate a lot of songs to her. Smiles. All romantic songs remind me of her. But the first ones would be Khuda Jaane or Baahon Ke Dharmiyaan. Baahon Ke Dharmiyaan is her favourite song and Khuda Jaane holds a lot of memories for both of us. That song sequence in Miley Jab Hum Tum was one of the most special in our lives.
Rati: That time itself was real special. We got closer to each other and got to know each other better and realized our attraction to each other was more than just attraction.
Arjun and Rati look at each other and smile.
Me: So attraction was there since day one, huh?
Arjun: Yeah, it was. And it was quite strong. We could not understand what it was at first. It was a first for both of us.
Rati: I remember feeling afraid because I had not planned to feel so highly attracted to my co-star. I did not want to mess things for myself unnecessarily. I used to try and ignore him unless we were called for a shot together or an interview. I suspected that he might be feeling something similar but I did not want to pursue the matter.
Arjun: And I was sure she felt something for me. It somehow made me ecstatic and I was very eager to know about her feelings though I did not know why I was so eager. And the right time came when we went for the outdoor shoot. We spent a lot of time together and came back as different people. Something had changed between us.
Me: But despite all, you hid things very well, and for a long time too.
Arjun: Believe me, it was very hard to keep things low. We never said anything as such but our fans could read our eyes. I remember seeing someone commenting something like 'True Love cannot be hidden, however hard you try'.
Rati: That was what made us happiest, by the way. We did not need to tell our fans anything. They had things figured out all on their own. We have a set of very intelligent fans.
We all laughed.
Me: Niranjan and Rakesh, what did you guys think of you know their attraction to each other? Did you know about it??
Niranjan: I suspected that Bro was not the same from day one. The day he came home and talked about his new co-star; the excitement in his voice was completely different and I knew there was something amiss. In fact I used to tease him so much on Bhabhi from the very first days and he used to blush.
Rakesh: And I suspected something amiss when Sis was very reluctant to talk about her new co-star.
Niranjan: But later on both told us about their relationship and all.
Me: So the love story started from day one, only you two did not realize it.
Arjun: Yeah, something like that. But it was a beautiful feeling since the very first day and I am glad I felt like that for Rati and no other. Because, honestly, I can't imagine life without her.
Arjun and Rati looked at each other and smiled, before he hugged her close.
Me: I bet the confession must have been spectacular but I won't ask you for any details about it. I feel some things are better left unsaid. Right?
Rati: Smiling. Right. And thanks for that.
Me: You are welcome. So with that, I thank you all for agreeing to give this interview. It has been lovely listening to your love story and hoping it always remains the same; Honey-sweet but spicy at the same time.
A&R: Thanks Amy.
