I'm kidding it's nice.Alexandra is quite a character very strong and level headed.
Geet Handa was nowhere in sight, he had searched everywhere he could possibly think of and imagine. His 'fiance' had truly disappeared. Maan Singh Khurana looked back at the doors of the Dargah before walking down the steps and getting into his car. The car keys in his hands which were being forced into his skin by his clenched fists managed to finally snap him out of his furious reverie. "Where are you Geet?" He questioned, a muscle twitched in his jaw as he stared at the Dargah from the window of his car. When Nakul had dropped the bombshell this morning, all hell had broken loose for him. The fact Geet hadn't returned home last night, wasn't at the office and her belongings were still at the outhouse had set alarm bells ringing in the Khurana Mansion. On one hand was a hysterical Daadima who wanted India's Air Force to search for her would be daughter in law and on the other hand was the worry that Geet was now in the hands of Brij's ignorant friends. Woh pagal ladki pata nahin kaha hogi...kahan dundoo useh? Upar seh woh pregnant bhi hai...He exhaled, slowly coming to the conclusion that when he found Geet Handa, and there was no doubt that he would, Maan Singh Khurana would have to take responsibility for her stupidity, otherwise only God knows what trouble she'd get into. No matter how much he hated her right now, one thing was for definite...he hated the idea of her alone and hurt more. When his phone started vibrating in his trouser pocket, he pulled it out hurriedly and answered it with a tired snap. "Bolo Pinky."
"J-Ji Sir...woh...G-Geet office meh abh aah gayi hai." Pinky stuttered sending a nod at the direction of a now relieved Adi back at Khurana Constructions reception.
Maan tightened his hold on the phone, his cheeks turning red. "I'm coming. Call Daadima and tell her Geets' fine." He snapped the phone shut, threw it on the passenger seat and started the car. I'm here looking for her like a maniac and she's sitting at the office...yeh ladki mujhe pagal kardegi.
---
"Woh office main hai?" Daadima exhaled out in relief, taking a seat in the Khurana Mansion living room she thanked Adi for informing her about Geet and put the phone down. She placed a hand over her heart and covered her eyes with a hand, her mind slowly calming down at the news. If Geet hadn't shown up, she was pretty sure she would have admitted herself to a hospital never mind Maan. After a few deep breaths, she felt the hair on the back of her neck prickle sensing she wasn't alone she looked around and jumped at the sight of Alexandra leaning against a pillar calmly eating a banana.
"Alex-puthar, aap kabse waha kari ho?!" Daadima exclaimed, getting up instantly. It pleased her to know that even today Alexandra was standing here in front of her confident and smug as always.
"I've been standing here for the past twenty minutes watching you put a hole through that rug with your pacing and then attempting to get over your hysteria on that sofa. May I say it was rather entertaining?" She cringed when Daadima rushed forward and embraced her. "Oh my God! Get off! You're so bad for my image."
Daadima pursed her lips and pulled her Goddaughter to sit down with her. "If only you knew what has been going on here since morning beta!" She complained, "Aapko phone par batah nahi sakhi, lekin Maan ki aab aik mangetar hai aur woh ghum hogai thi!"
Alexandra chose this moment to yawn much to Daadima's chagrin. "I'm telling you such big news and all you can do is yawn?"
"What else?!" Alexandra threw the banana peel on the floor; ignoring Daadima's sigh of annoyance and rubbed her hands on her black shorts. "It's not big news when all night I've been listening to your Geet whine about your idiot grandson."
"Kya?! Aap Geet kho jaanthi hai?" Daadima stared at Alexandra, amazed at what the girl had done even though she'd only been back for two days. "Aur kaise...kabh...?" She couldn't get out her questions fast enough before Alexandra placed a hand over her mouth.
"Slow down Daadima." Alexandra rolled her eyes and leaned back, muttering away at the ceiling. "Now you can ask me a million questions but the simple answer to all of them is that your grandson Maan? Well he's just a big fat FAIL. So you sit here and bask in the brilliance of his failure whilst I pick up the pieces. It's a good thing I'm here now; otherwise God knows what would have happened." She blinked confused when Daadima didn't respond then realised her hand was still over the older woman's lips. "Sorry."
"Mujhe kuch bhi nahin samajh aah raha hai..." Daadima rubbed her forehead, "You are right though puthar, Maan is a fail at romance." She shook her head despairingly. "It's all down to you now... I don't know what you are doing...why...how...I don't want to know. I just know that with you around nothing will go wrong." She patted Alexandra's hand then frowned when the girl got up abruptly.
"Right, good. That's a lot of knowing, you keep doing that." Alexandra had heard what she needed to hear, with this permission she could wreak all the havoc she wanted. "So, I have to go now. All you need to know is that from now on Geet will be living at my apartment; she's my PA and NOT Maan's secretary. Just don't tell Maan anything. Okay, well now I should go meet that knuckle-head." She wheeled around to walk out only to be stopped by Daadima who had grabbed her wrist.
"Alex..." Daadima stared at Alexandra, now realising that in her worry over Geet and Maan she had completely forgotten the fact that her Goddaughter had returned after a six year long stay in England. She searched those blue eyes and saw behind the mischief, plans and hard-talk there was a familiar pain that still hadn't disappeared even after so many years. "Why have you come back now?"
Alexandra tensed up and quickly adjusted her facial expression so nothing could be read; she stood emotionlessly her voice brisk and cold. "Daddy told me to." She twisted her wrist free and left before Daadima could question her further.
Daadima shook her head sadly. It seemed even today Alexandra refused to let go, but then again she was a Veer Singh and Savitri Devi knew very well how stubborn they could be. She only wished that Alexandra would forget the incident and move on with her life. "Alex beta...you won't leave India without getting married yourself." She decided. If Alexandra was going to get Maan married, Savitri Devi wasn't dead yet...she'd get her Goddaughter married even if it cost her limbs...which Alex might cut off if she found out what her Daadima was planning.

The lift wasn't moving fast enough for Maan today. All he wanted to do was get up to reception and throttle Miss.Hoshiapur. When the doors finally opened he rushed up to Pinky who had started trembling at the sight of him. "Kahan hai woh?!" He snapped, and then followed the direction of Pinky's gaze.
"Aapki office main hain..." Pinky shoved some potato chips into her mouth, the stress of today making her even hungrier. The gol gappe stand was going to be ambushed tonight if it was the last thing she did.
Maan grabbed a hold of the packet in Pinky's hand and threw it in a trashcan brushing past her, ignoring the now deadly silent office where not even Sasha dared to make a quick snide comment. He stalked into his office, slamming the door shut and turned to look at Geet.
Geet twisted her chunni until she thought the fabric might rip and slowly looked up at Maan. Babaji yeh toh itne gusseh main hain...abh kya karoon...? Yeh toh aaj mehra khoon kardalenge...Geet, dhar maat. Alexandra-jhi jho bhi kaha thu wohi kar. She had strict instructions to remain silent regardless of what Maan said or did today.
Maan glowered at her, getting angrier by the second when she didn't immediately tell him where she had been. He grabbed her by the arms and pulled her close, forcing her to look at him. "Kahan thi thum?" He asked, not caring if his grip was too tight and if he was causing her pain. "Kal raath thum kahan thi? Kiske saath?" She didn't look as if she had been in any trouble; her clothes were clean and pressed...her hair perfect and...He shook his head not wanting to think about her even more perfect looks at this point in time. "Bolthi kyun nahi ho thum?!"
Geet lowered her gaze, her eyes tearing up. She slowly twisted in his arms until he shoved her back; remaining silent she picked up her resignation letter from his desk and held it out to him.
"What is this?" Maan ripped open the envelope and stared disbelievingly at what was written inside, "Resign? Pagal hoh gayi ho?!" He couldn't believe he had even thought about supporting this pagal ladki when all this time all she kept talking about was leaving him. "Ky-" His next question trailed off when Geet started pulling off his ring. Why wasn't she saying anything and how could she do this...
Geet felt almost forlorn when the ring finally came off after some serious tugging, she wanted to apologise to him...to explain but she had promised Alexandra she wouldn't speak. So she silently placed the ring on his desk and turned to walk out.
"Fine!" Maan couldn't understand her silence, but if she wanted to leave he wouldn't stop her...not this time. "Jao! I don't care! Get out." He spat, stalking over to his chair he sat down, throwing down the letter to the floor. "Mujhe tumari zaroorat nahi hai Geet..."
Geet paused at the door, hesitating at his last words. She tightened her hand on the doorknob before yanking it open with a deliberate look on her face. She could do this, for herself and for her child. She closed the door behind her, forcing herself to deny one last look at him before heading towards the lifts.
---
Alexandra had just placed Geet's luggage on the bedroom floor when the doorbell rang. She strode over to open the door, and raised an eyebrow when a dejected and tired Geet entered the apartment. "Hello mattar-brain-jhi! Kaam hogaya?"
"Haan..." Geet mumbled faintly, almost stumbling until she reached the sofa and sat down. "Kyun Alexandra-jhi? Aapne mujhe kyun chup rehne kileye kaha?" She asked, her voice choking up. She couldn't help but remember Maan's angry face and the hurt she had seen in his eyes.
"I truly have to explain everything to you?" Alexandra handed her a glass of water before sitting down opposite her. "I said to you yesterday how words were important...the impact they make? Your silence creates an even bigger impact since all you do is bak-bak all the livelong day!" She rested her chin on her hand. "You can't speak to him Geet until he's ready to listen...don't worry about him anymore. Let me handle that. You just handle your new job, you are not Maan Singh Khurana's Secretary... you're Alexandra Veer Singh's Personal Assistant now."
Geet drank the water in one go, she placed the glass down on the table in front of her and smiled slowly at Alexandra. "Abh kya?" She asked her voice unsure.
Alexandra snapped her fingers and pointed to the coffee table where she had placed the spare apartment key, a new cell phone and an envelope of money. "That." She stood up and pulled out her own keys, "Please tell me you know how to drive some type of vehicle...?" She asked dubiously.
"Haan!" Geet nodded, a feeling of nostalgia filling her. She remembered taking her younger brother for a ride on the scooter secretly. "Scooter atha hai nah!"
"Scooter...?" Alexandra shook her head, Kya Daddy, aaj kal kaun scooter chilatha hai? "Eurgh fine, here's a key to a Bajaj Wave you'll find down there in the garage. Do not touch the rest of the cars or else I'll chop of your damned hands. Samjhi!" She pulled of a small key and placed it on the table. "Oh and..." She pulled out a contact card, throwing it down on the table with the rest of the 'essentials'. "Yeh...haan...Doctor Preeti. Now obviously an idiot like you couldn't possibly think of getting a check up, so I've booked an appointment for you tomorrow. Take a few days off. Then I'll call you...I've already put my number in that phone...and I'll tell you what you need to do next. Right. I have to go n-" She was cut off short when Geet suddenly got up and hurtled towards her, hugging her tightly.
"Aap bahut achi ho! Baaahuuut achi!" Geet exclaimed, knowing that to Alexandra giving her a scooter, phone, keys, money ...it was nothing. For Geet it was a chance to start life anew, a third chance in life. On top of that Babaji's pari had even thought about her child's health...
"Oye teri...get off." Alexandra pried Geet's arms off from around her middle. "For God's sake woman! I'm not your personal property, jab socha toh haath laga diya! Peeche haat.." She managed to push a beaming Geet away from her. "I gotta get outta here before you molest me..." She rushed around Geet and headed for the door.
"Nahi main aise kyun karoongi!?" Geet said, hand over her mouth. A sudden question came to her mind, "Wait!" She ran and caught up with Alexandra. "Main apki PA?"
"Haan Geet...tum humari PA...kitne baar bolna padega?!" Alexandra sighed; she had her hand on the doorknob. The day wasn't done yet, she still had to go meet Maan Singh Khurana and all this mattar-brain could do was ask her stupid questions.
"Toh...aap construction karthi hain?" Geet asked, wondering what she was meant to personally assist Alexandra with.
"Haan Geet, everyone in the whole flipping world does construction!" Alexandra replied sarcastically. "You'd think it would be obvious what I do..." She posed in front of Geet.
Geet shook her head, looking up and down at Alexandra before sighing. "Mujhe kuch nahi samajh aah raha.."
"Haan, tujhe kyun kuch samajh aiyga?!" Alexandra poked Geets' forehead, feeling insulted that her profession wasn't obvious. "I'm a model!" She said finally, rolling her eyes when Geet started gasping. "I'm surrounded by utter curds!" She grumbled and slammed the apartment door, leaving a rather befuddled Geet behind. Daddy, mujhe dekh khar aapko lagtha hai kai meh Alexandra Veer Singh construction main kaam karungi? Ulu dhi pathi...
---
Alexandra stepped out of the lift and into Khurana Constructions reception area and looked around. She tilted her head and raised a brow when she spotted who she was looking for. Ah Sasha...Munshi-jhi khi beti...kya baat hai Daddy. The one who lectures others on their status seems to have forgotten her own...What say we...have some fun? She grinned and folded her arms, approaching Sasha who was leaning over her desk to retrieve her handbag, her statement mini-dress riding up slightly on her thigh. Sasha was more than ready to end a rather stressful day.
"Oh my God, are you an escort?" Alexandra asked with an exaggerated gasp, making Sasha wheel around with an outraged expression on her face, her lips opening and closing like a goldfish. "I mean, I just looked at your dress...and well, I mean I just wanted to congratulate you...not many would be lucky enough to be Mr. Khurana's escort y'know?"
"How dare you?" Sasha took a step back to take a good look at the woman in front of her; this biker-wannabe was calling her an escort? "For you information I am Sasha. The Head Architect here! Oh and we have already given this month's donation to some other charity so if you don't mind leaving." Sasha then made the mistake of grabbing Alexandra's arm and pushing her in the direction of the lifts.
Alexandra pulled her arm back with a sharp yank making Sasha trip over her own heels and land on the floor, before stepping over her calmly and placing her hands on her hips. "Oh yes, I do apologise...Sasha...yes Maan has mentioned you at times... Munshi-jhi's daughter right? So...how does a daughter of a servant...gain such a great job? I mean....really?" She grinned at her implication.
Sasha couldn't help but allow her face to crumple slightly, her eyes filled with tears at the humiliation she'd just been served by this gori. Her lips trembled as she made to get up only to have the other woman's boot push at her right hip in a light kick, but it was enough to knock her back down. She opened her mouth to call for MK, security...anyone because one thing for sure was that this woman was definitely psycho. There could be no other explanation especially since she'd done nothing to deserve this. This whole day for her had been disastrous, what with everyone panicking about the behenji going missing, MK firing seven of their support staff and now this, getting knocked over by a mental hospital patient!
"Oh please, Sasha-ji. Don't get up for my benefit...apki jaga toh yahi hai...haina?" Alexandra gave her one last smirk before swiftly turning around and heading to the door labelled as Maan's office. She paused at the office door, looking back at Sasha who was still staring at her from the floor. "Might wanna get a new dress...hmm?"
Inside the office, Khurana Constructions CEO was pacing like a caged animal. For hours he'd been attempting to concentrate on his work but his mind and unfortunately heart as well refused to forget about Geet...and her silent rejection. Maan slammed both his hands on the desk in front of him, his eyes blazed with rage. "Uski itni himmat?" He hissed out, grabbing the paperweight in front of him he threw it towards his door with all his might just as it opened to show two long legs clad in red knee length boots. His blood-shot eyes moved up taking in the slightly ripped t-shirt and leather jacket before resting on two stunned blue eyes he'd not seen for six years. "Alex..." He breathed out.Alexandra blinked slowly in surprise and took a step back just as she caught the hurtling paperweight a mere centimetre from her nose. "Well...that wasn't the greeting I was hoping for y'know?" She let her arm fall back to her side, and opened her palm letting the paperweight drop to the floor. She grimaced at the red hue on her skin and the burning sensation. "I don't know whether I should be lucky for my quick reflexes or your pathetic aim..." She looked up at Maan who was still gawking at her.
Maan watched the paperweight fall to the floor and shook his head, snapping out of his shock then moved quickly towards Alex and pulled her into a sharp hug. For the first time today he finally felt as if something had gone right, especially now when Alex tightened her arms around him and patted his back. "Erm...why is Sasha on the floor like that?" He questioned with a suspicious tone of voice, he pulled Alex back and raised an eyebrow...Geet momentarily forgotten.
Alexandra glanced sheepishly at Sasha who was now charging towards her with a determined look on her face, and smirked. "Oh her? She fell..." She stated matter of factly and pushed a confused Maan back into his office, slamming the door in Sasha's face.
"Alex!" Maan looked at the door in shock and then felt a hard thwack against his cheek making him look in the complete opposite direction. He growled and shoved Alexandra against a wall, "Tumne Maan Singh Khurana ko tapparh mara?" He hissed.
Alexandra tsked at the red mark on his cheek and shrugged nonchalantly, "Yup." She held his chin and turned his face so he could see the fallen paperweight on the floor.
"Oh...payback." Maan let her go and nodded in understanding, he grinned at her. "I should have expected that."
"Damn straight." Alexandra simply grinned back, both of them now oblivious to Sasha's loud angry mutterings outside the door.
