Hiya! Second chapter is finally here after a full nights work. It's not my best because I was busy sneezing and wiping my nose for the majority of it.
Anyways... I still hope you like it and enjoy Geet & Alexandra's interaction.
Chapter Two: Geet Bas-Geet
Geet awoke a few hours later; she sighed and snuggled in to the warm duvet surrounding her. She didn't feel like getting up, her bones felt too tired...as if she had run a mile. Unfortunately the memory of what had happened back at the office started trickling into her mind. "Maan Sir?!" She gasped and shot up. Geet rubbed her eyes when she saw that she was in a strange bed and in a stranger's bedroom. "Woh ladki?" She whispered vaguely remembering the last face she had seen before fainting. She got up slowly and noticed she was wearing a knee length nightgown and her clothes were drying on a radiator nearby. Shaeed woh ladki joh bike meh thi...woh mujhe yahan... Geets' thoughts faded when she heard loud music from outside the room. She rushed out, barely taking in her surrounding sand simply followed the sound through the kitchen, living room and into...into a gym?
There was exercise equipment shoved in each corner of the room, a large blue mat covered the middle of the floor where a woman stood grunting each time she pounded her fists into a punching bag.
Geet took in a deep breath, taking in the woman's appearance properly for the first time. She hadn't been concentrating out in the rain with the worry of Maan. Now that she could she realised this stranger was very beautiful.
The woman was tall, at least 5 foot 8" which was a giants standard in Geets' mind. She also had a strong physique which stated rather loudly she wasn't to be messed with. Her eyes were large and dark blue, the fair skin made Geet wonder if she was Indian at all...and her hair was black, curly and cut short to the ears.
Geet took in a deep breath, unsure whether to interrupt as the woman made her feel intimidated. So she stood silently watching her work out. After a minute a small smile appeared on Geet's lips when the woman reminded her of Maan at the outhouse, she couldn't help but remember the time he had put on her fallen earring. She shook her head when the memory started to hurt and looked to the woman only to jump when those icy blue eyes were focused on her.
Alexandra had stopped her three hour long work-out when her stomach had started to cramp. She pulled off her gloves, turned off her stereo and bent down for her water bottle only to find the girl standing by the doorway...smiling at some private thought. When the girls brown eyes finally met hers, Alexandra coolly got up and walked towards her.
"J-Ji..." Geet found herself stepping forward. "Sorry...woh...mein...woh..." She bit her lip nervously, "Main sirf thank you khene aiy thi..." She widened her eyes when the woman ignored her and simply walked past her out the door. "Babaji!" She complained instantly looking up, feeling offended. "Aap sirf mujhe aise sadoo lok seh kyun milwathe ho?!" She turned sharply to follow the woman and yelped when she bumped in to a sweaty body at the doorway.
"In this apartment there is only Daddy!" Alexandra snapped, miffed at being called a sadoo. "No Babaji!" She snapped her fingers in front of Geet's face. "Chalo!"
Geet stared at her confused. Babaji, yeh Daddy kaun hai? Aap holiday peh ho kya? She gasped when the woman grabbed her hand, yanked her to the kitchen and pushed her into a chair at the dining table.
Now I'm going to have to make food for this misery! Alexandra shot the girl a dirty look but started heating tomato soup from a can. There wasn't much else in the apartment as she hadn't had much of a chance to go shopping. She grabbed an apple and orange, cut them up and placed them on a tray along with a glass of orange juice. With an irritated sigh, she popped the tray on the table in front of the girl.
"Yeh sab..." Geet whispered but quickly closed her mouth when the woman shot her another glare. Those blue eyes scared her. Geet timidly started eating the soup. "Thank you..."
"I'm going for a shower...Eat it all." Alexandra ordered and stomped away to the bathroom leaving Geet in a rather befuddled state. In the bathroom she peeled off her sweaty shorts and looked out the window. It was still raining rather heavily. "Daddy, this is the part where we cackle." She did her best imitation of a witch's laughter but jumped away from the window when she heard a loud thunderclap. "Ai! Itni zoor seh nahi! Calm down pop!" She chastised before getting in to the shower.
Meanwhile Geet was having her own conversation with Babaji. Yeh aloo kah parata tho nahi hai, lekin khana tho hai! Ek baat batao, yeh aurat itni ajeeb kyun hai? Gali dethi hai...phir apne ghar lathi hai...Gussa karthi hai...phir khana dethi hai...Maan sir khi tara...Haina? At Maan's thought her eyes welled up and her throat constricted, she barely finished the food in front of her when Alexandra returned from her shower wearing fresh clothes and a towel around her shoulders.
Alexandra sat down opposite Geet and frowned when she noticed the girl was attempting to hide her face by looking away...No not her face Alex...her tears. She's crying. Alexandra pushed a box of tissues that was sitting in the middle of the table towards the girl.
Geet looked up at the woman, a tear falling to her cheek despite her best effort to hide her pain from a stranger. She quickly swiped her cheek.
"Yeh aap ansoo mat bahiye." Alexandra got up and placed her hands on the table, leaning forward she looked into Geet's eyes intensely. "Kyun ke... ansoo kamzor lokon keh zehvaar hota hain..." She watched the girl pull out a tissue and hid a smirk. "This life...it's all a game...game of luck. Sab takdeer kah khel hai. Kambakt taqdeer kisko kahan door kar dethi hai, kahan mila dethi hai aur mila kar phir bhi nahi milathi!" Alexandra watched Geets head fall sadly and walked around the table, forcing Geet to look up at her. "Aadmi zubaan seh kuch ketha hai...dimaag kuch aur sochta hai aur dil? Dil kuch aur hi chatha hai!" She raised her eyebrows. "Yeh sab natak hai...takdeer kah. Toh is par kya ansoo bahana? Jho chala gaya usko bhool jha! Jho aah raha hai usko pyaar kar..." She intoned dramatically, but then realised Geet was looking at her in shocked wonderment.
"Aap..." Geet slowly digested the speech the woman had just made. All the words rang true for her, they connected to some part of her life a bit too sharply. "Aap bahut samajdhar hai." She frowned when the woman threw back her head and started laughing loudly.
"Oi! Mattar-brain!" Alexandra shook her head chuckling, "Nahi, that was Anil Kapoor. Trimurti?" At Geets confused face she let out another roll of laughter. "You haven't seen that movie?"
Geet sighed and shook her head, it didn't matter who had said those words. They had affected her.
Alexandra didn't fail to notice the girls' serious expression and folded her arms. "Suno." She narrowed her eyes, "No one cries in my home. Don't make the mistake again...Phir ansoo bahaye toh tapar kane koh tayaar hojana!"
Geet nodded, her hand moving to cover her cheek quickly.
"In this world tears are meaningless. Only words and deeds create winners..."
Geet nodded again, afraid to say something which might set her off. The woman appeared unstable to her. One minute she was calling her names, the next laughing and in the next threatening to hit her! Babaji, yeh kesi aurat hai?! She sighed and picked up her glass of orange juice and started sipping it in order to fill in the awkward silence.
"What's your name?"
"Jhi? Oh, Geet."
"Geet." Alexandra nodded and went back to her chair. "Geet kya?"
"Bas....Geet."
"Acha?" Alexandra smirked, "My name is Alexandra Veer Singh." She emphasised her last name to show she wasn't ashamed like Geet. This didn't go unnoticed by Geet who tightened her grip on her glass and took a large gulp of juice. She peered at the woman over the rim of her glass and noticed a sharp glint pass in those blue eyes.
"I know that you're pregnant...Geet...Bas-Geet."
Geet stood up.
The glass fell.

Is this Alexandra............................Maan's sister????????
Nope. 😆Then she wouldn't be Alexandra Veer Singh. She'd be Alexandra Singh Khurana.
