Chapter 2
Oops! Kuch zyaada hi ho gaya! He was seriously freaking me out by the way he was glaring at me! I didn't know what to do and my stupid brain told me to run, so me being the stupid loser I was, I started to run for my life! He followed me. I entered the
elevator! The frickin
elevator! That must be the stupidest thing I did! He could jst run in the elevator and I'd be trapped. I pressed the ground floor button like an idiot. Thankfully the elevator closed right before sir had a chance to jam his foot in the middle. I sighed of relief and leaned back against the wall of the empty elevator.
Thank You BabaJi! That was so close. Lekin abh main kya karoon gi!? Just then the elevator opened. I saw sir standing there.

I was so tired from running down the stairs all the way to the ground floor. What kind of retard runs away from their boss! This girl has serious issues!! I was just in time. The elevator just opened. Geet stood there totally freaked staring at me like an idiot! Before the elevator closed i ran in and so Geet doesnt run again i quickly cornered her against the elevator wall. I stared deeply into her huge hazel eyes which were filled with fear right now. She was so beautiful now that I payed attention. She was so cute and innocent! I slowly brought my face closer to hers. She looked downwards. That was enough for me to regain my senses. I quickly moved back. What's wrong with me! I was embarassed by my actions. I had always hated girls because of some incidents in the past._______________ Geet spoke up, "I'm sorry!" she said. Maan looked at her angrily. "I'm VeryVeryVeryVeryVery sorry sir!" she said apologetically. "I'm sor-" she started, but Maan put his hand over her mouth. "Shut up Geet!" he yelled, frustrated at her non-stop sorry's. She looked down towards his hand on her mouth. Maan quickly removed it. "Haan toh tumhe main 'Dus Sar Vaala Raavan' dikhta hoon!" he said angrily. She nodded her head in 'no'. "Aur haan, mujhe itna gussa nahin karna chahiye! Abh tum
Maan Singh Khurana ko sikhao gi ke kya karna chahiye aur kya nahi!" he yelled furiously. "Toh abh main sach bhi nahi bol sakti!" she asked. The elevator opened and they both got out. "Tumne woh file type ki?" he asked changing the topic because he knew if they continued there little fight he would explode. "Haan" she replied. "Toh mere cabin mein leke aao" he said sternly and walked off into his cabin. Geet stuck her tongue out because he was turned around and muttered "Sadu". Maan turned and narrowed his eyes at her. Geet was frightened, but then Maan just turned again and entered his cabin
pretending he didn't hear. Geet was relieved.

I got the files and went to his cabin. I peeked through the door. He looked really busy and engrossed into the work he was doing on the computer. It was 7:00 and everyone was leaving the building. I knocked. No response. He was too into his work to hear what I said. "Can I come in sir?" I asked. "Hmm" came his response.
Huh?! No 'Come In' I walked in. It was silent in the building because everyone was gone now. I waited for him to tell me to sit. I would've sat, but what if he got mad?
I've done and said enough already. I can't afford to make even one more mistake, or make him angry or I'll be fired on the first day of my first job! AND it will go on my resume!! "May I sit?" I asked nervously. "Hmm" he said again.
What's up with this 'Hmm' of his!!?? I wondered what it was that he was working on so engrossed in. He didn't say anything. I just sat there for a moment waiting for say something.
Kuch toh kaho 'Dusht Danav'! Other than Adi, I made another friend, Pinky. She's the receptionist. At lunch she was telling me about how everyone calls sir,
'DD'', as in
'DhakDhak'! Although sir is a greek-god, I think
'Dhusht Dhanav' suits him way more! "Main files le aayi hoon." I said politely trying to keep my anger level down. "Hmm" he said
yet again! That did it!
One more time he says "Hmm' I'm gonna kill him! Just then his phone rang. I guess he finally took his head out of the damn computer because he took out his phone, looked at it annoyed and cut it. Before he could look back to his work he looked at me confused. "Tum andar kaise aayi?" he asked angrily. I looked at him annoyed and surprised.
What the hell does he mean by that!??!!! "Aap pagal toh nahin ho!? I think aapko doctor ki zaroorat hain! Main yahan kabse hoon, aur aap mujhse pooch rahe hain, ke main andar kaise aayi!" I said in a tone that wouldn't be of a secretary talking to her boss, and before I could notice and control my tone I continued, "Your the one who said 'Hmm' when I asked if I could come in" I said mimicking his voice at the hmm part.

Oh!! Maybe I did tell her to come in! Shit! I yelled at her for no reason. Whatever Maan! Woh teri secretary hain, you have the right to yell at her but SHE doesn't! I got up in anger, remebering her lines. "Kya kaha tumne? Mujhe of all people,
doctor ki zaroorat hain!" I said ever so furiously banging my fist on the desk. Geet jerked and stood up straight realizing who she said that to.

"W-w-woh s-sir..." she said stammering like Adi. "Kya 'woh sir'!? Huh!? Abh tum bhi Adi ki language bolne lag gayi!?" he yelled angrily coming around his desk to stand in front of her. "Main uhh..." she didn't know what to say. She just took two steps back, because Maan was standing in front of her now. "Kya keh rahi thi tum?

mujhe doctor ki zaroorat hain?!" he yelled again, talking three steps forward. Geet took four steps back hitting the wall. "You know what! Tumhe doctor ki zaroorat!" he said angrily, "Aur woh bhi
jaldi!" he added taking a step forward. He was pretty close to her now. Geet looked downwards embarassed by what he said to her. "I'm sorry" she said, which seemed to be the hundredth time. It was such a magical sorry filled with, sweetness, cuteness, and whole lot of innocence. Maan gazed at her moonlike face forgetting all his anger, his mind finally at peace. He half-conciously took more steps forwards. Geet looked up to see Maan's face inches away. They stood like that staring deeply into each others eyes for what seemed to be hours. Out of nervousness, Geet pushed back some of her hair behind her ear, which came back out. Maan brang up his hand and pushed it back. Both their heartbeats quickened at the touch. Geet broke eye contact feeling uncomfortable and said, "Uhh...sir..." Maan quickly moved back angry at himself for always coming close to this girl. "What?" he asked. "It's 7:45, main ghar jaa sakti hoon?" asked Geet. "Nahi" came his reply. Geet looked at him confused. "Mr. Chopra jinke saath hamari bahut important deal chal rahi hain, ko kal hi project ke design chahiye, isiliye aaj hi finish karna hoga. You'll have to do the design for the Second Floor of the house" he said. "Okay" she nodded and was leaving when Maan called her and said "Make me some coffee". Geet nodded and went to the pantry.

FIRST Day!!! My first day, and I have to work overtime!! What Dusht Dhanav! Galti khud ki aur sorry mujhe maangni pari! Khud hi toh kaha 'hmm'! Pagal nahi toh aur kya hain! I made him coffee with three sugarcubes.
Maybe with this extra sugar he'll be less bitter! I just hope that he doesn't notice. I went to his cabin and gave him the coffee. "Sir, aapki coffee" I said. He took it from me.
Can't he say thanks!? "What's this. Mujhe black coffee chahiye thi!" he yelled at me. My jaw dropped. Not Again!
And the 'Hardest Job Award' goes to Maan Singh Khurana's Secretary who puts up with his tantrums and pickiness! I tried to keep my cool. "Mujhe akashwaani aayegi ke Maan Singh Khurana drinks black coffee only" I said trying not to go into an angry tone which sometimes wasn't in my control. He looked at me irritatedly. "Theek hain, main yahi pee loonga, now go do your work!" he said as if wanting to avoid the upcoming fight.
He obviously said that because he knows I'm right and he's wrong and his stupid ego won't let him admit! I turned and walked into my cabin.

Seriously Maan! She's right, bechari ko kaise pata ke mujhe black coffee chahiye!? Bechari?? What the hell am I saying! _______________ Maan had always been drinking black coffee, with one cube of sugar. He didn't necessarily like it but, he liked to be bitter. He looked at the coffee and took a sip because he didn't want to pick a fight with Geet. His head was already hurting because of her. He really liked the coffee. It was pretty sweet but it made his headache disappear. He called Geet. "Mere cabin mein aao." he said. Geet looked at the phone and slammed it down. She sighed. "Abh kis cheez ke liye daantege?!" she asked herself. She walked in his cabin, practicing to control her anger. "Yes Sir?" she asked. "Mujhe aur coffee chahiye." said Maan. She sighed inwardly. "Okay" she said and started towards the door. "I think you should ask me which type" he said. "I know you want black coffee." she said tired of his pickiness. "Nahi. I want it exactly how you made the previous one." he said looking into his work kind of nervous in the first place to say that. He didn't want to sound like he liked it. She turned around to look at him confused. "Huh?" she asked. "You heard me. Go!" he said. "Haan" she said and walked out of his cabin and unknowingly smiled. Maan also smiled once she was gone.

OMG!OMG! The extra sugar worked!! Aaaahhh!! I can't believe it! Maybe I should add four sugarcubes now. Naahh! He'll notice. I really happily, made the coffee. I found it funny, that the person who at one point ruins your mood, can make you just as happy and cheery! She gave him the coffee and resumed to completing the designs.

God!!?? Why can't I take my mind off Geet?! She is driving me crazy right now. I looked at the coffee, which was half done. I pointed to it and said "It's all your fault!"
The stupid coffee is making me think of Geet! It's nothing like I love her or whatever. I took a pause.
Love?! Like are you crazy Maan! Like seriously, after what that Naintara and... I took a pause. These two people always reminded me about how stupid women are!
But then there's always people like my sweet Dadi and Ge- I cut myself off before I would mention her name.
Don't even think about it Maan. It's just that coffee! After a minute, I couldn't stop myself and looked through the blinds to see Geet.
Damn that coffee! I saw her! She was working on the design. There was a smile on her face, making her look even more beautiful. I looked at her huge gorgeous eyes, her most attractive feature. And, then at her cute little nose, I felt like pinching right now. That reminds me of her cheeks, which also fell in the pinching category. Next, there were those lips, I felt like-
Don't even go there Maan! I hate you, coffee! Before, I could turn myself around to distract myself from Geet, her eyes turned to me and caught my attention. I wondered how wierd it would seem to someone passing by. We were gazing at eachother through blinds and a glass wall. I didn't care, because I was pretty sure, me and Geet were the only ones here. I blinked my eyes. I could tell she was completely lost in my eyes. She blew a bubble from her gum.
Good to know, I'm not the only one affected. My phone rang. I looked away from her beautiful eyes.
Damn this phone for ruining the eyelock, and damn that coffee for causing the eyelock. It was Dadi. I answered the phone, "Haan Dadima". "Maan beta! Aap mere calls kyun nahi utha rahe the! Aaj subah ke liye gussa mujhe hona chahiye, aapko nahi!' she said angrily. This morning I stormed away from the dinner table, because Dadima was pestering me to get married. "Sorry Dadima, mera phone off tha" I said. "Acha thik hain, abh yeh bataiye, aap ki nazar mein koi ladki hain?" asked Dadima. Oh no! Why am I keep thinking of Geet!
For the hundredth time, 'I Hate You Coffee' The coffee thing was starting to sound like a stupid excuse now! "Dadima! Main aapko pehle bhi keh chuka hoon aur abh bhi keh raha hoon, mujhe shaadi nahi karni!" I said and hung up the phone.

An hour later Geet walked into Maan's cabin with her design. Maan studied it for a while. "Acha hain?" asked Geet impatiently. She really wanted to hear a compliment from Maan. "Bakwaas!" he yelled. She blew a bubble from her bubble gum.

"Huh..." I said confused.
Stupid Maan Sir! He just called my hard work 'Bakwaas'! He's Bakwaas! I mentally said a few curses to him. "Agar kisi ko bathroom jaana ho, toh woh 1st floor par jaaye ga!" he yelled. My jaw dropped. I grabbed the blueprint from him. My mouth hung open, and my eyes widened. I closed my mouth and looked up at his angry face guiltily.
Shit! How could I forget the BATHROOMS!! I quickly took a pencil and added in bathrooms and gave it back to him. "I'm sorry! I don't know how I forgot!" I said apologetically. "You women are so stupid" he said. I narrowed my eyes at him. "What?" he asked angrily. I already made a mistake. It's not the right time to fight with him about how women are better than guys! I simply said, "Nothing". It was 11:00.

This girl is acting like I've kidnapped her or something! I gave her a wierd look. "Ya...Go" I said. She left my cabin. I should go home too, I'm done all the work. I looked at the time. What!? It's 11:00!! I should drop Geet. She shouldn't go alone at this time. I ran and caught up to her outside. She saw me and looked at me confused. "I'm dropping you home" I said. More like ordered!

I hated the way he said that! What does he mean by 'I'm dropping you home' He has no manners. What's wrong with 'Should I drop you home?' "No. I'll go by myself" I said. "No. You are coming with me!" he ordered.

"No! I'll go alone!" yelled Geet annoyed. Maan got angry. It was the first time he was actually helping an employ of his and instead of saying, 'Thanks! That's really nice of you!' she was showing him attitude. "Geet! You Are Coming With Me!" he yelled very loud. "No, I Am Not!" she yelled even louder. She started walking, when Maan quickly came infront of her and blocked her way. She was about to go from the other side and took a step. Maan did the same blocking her way. She took a step from the other side. So did he and once again blocked her way, their noses were almost touching. Geet tried pushing him back, but his muscular chest was too strong for her. "Your coming with me!" he murmered stepping closer. They were so close now. "No" she said taking a step back. "Yes!" he said taking more steps forward on impulse to get closer to her. She moved back until she hit the wall with 'MSK' engraved on it. "Aap mujhe force nahi kar sakte! Aur iss waqt aap mere boss nahin hain!" she said miffed at his behaviour. He took a step forward, and murmurred "Peeche dekho" close to her ear, sending chills down her spine. She looked behind and saw 'MSK' written and turned around only to find Maan extremely close, gazing at her. She downed her eyes. "Chalo mere saath" he whispered in her ear, and held her wrist. They both had butterflies in their stomachs. He pulled her with him and made her sit in his car
