Riddhima had two surgeries back to back which is why she couldn't meet Armaan before 12 noon.. At 11:45 she got out of the OT and instructed the intern working under her to take a break and do rounds in the general ward. Mansi was a smart girl. She was known for her sarcasm and witty sense of humour. But somehow, Riddhima was what Dr Keerti was for them.. Nobody dared to be late.. Everything around Riddhima was in order.. Everything but.. Armaan.. She was the control freak in the hospital.. But when it came to him.. She liked it when he took control of things.. She loved being pampered.. And yes.. Most of the casual decisions were made by Armaan jee.. ! Like he would decide what movies they should watch or which is the newest restaurant they should check out.. Or what latest gadgets they should pick up.. He always chose the good movies.. And found out the cool restaurants.. He knew about every gadget on the catalogue.. She sighed.. Yes.. She was barely the control freak.. She liked to be 'in control' at times.. But never the freak.. Armaan made her soo normal.. And she was abnormally and irrevocably in love with him.. ! Something she never denied.. :-)

She washed her hands and used the sanitizer.. And headed towards the canteen.. Armaan was still on his duty..
She walked up to the counter and ordered a coffee and an omlette for herself and a vegetable cheese sandwich for him.. !
"Meri beautiful wife.. ! " She looked sideways..

Armaan was standing there simply smiling his billion dollar dimpled smile..

"Hello nautanki "

He frowned.. Did she just call him nautanki.. !? :O HE.. He was NAUTANKI.. !? After all that drama of hers he put up with.. He was the nautanki.. Great.. !

"How is your day going.. Control freak.. ! " Dr Armaan Mallik had made his comeback.

He took their order and walked towards an empty table..

"Tumne mujhe control freak bulayaa.. ?"

"Kyun? Tum control freak hi toh ho.. Dr Keerti bhi tumse ab darti hain shaayad!"

Riddhima smiled. She actually liked being the control freak in hospital. She loved it when the juniors respected her. She had always dreamt of being like her father.. The one everyone looks up to and comes to with every problem when they are stuck in one.. But just for the kicks of it.. She retorted back..
Taking the chair next to his, "Armaan, Dr Keerti mujhse nahi darti hain.. Aur tum aise pretend mat karo ki tum mujhse dartein ho.. !"

"Riddhima.. Main tumse darta hoon..!" He said it as if he was taking a solemn oath.. "Pataa hain.. Woh din jab tumne apne face par kuchh weird gooey brown colour ka kuch lagaya tha.. Main faint ho gaya tha! ". And he was not kidding. . He had almost fainted..

" Woh kuchh weird gooey brown colour ka kuch.. Oose 'face-pack' kehte hain!"

"Ofcourse! So important.. 'face pack'!"

They didn't have any more time for their stupid arguments..

*Dr Armaan report to ICU 2 urgently*

He got up and kissed her on the cheek..
"Bye!"

"Bye Armaan"

At 9 in the night..
Riddhima came back from work.. Armaan was already in the house.. And he was wearing an apron.. Confused.. She walked up to the kitchen..

" Armaan" He turned around.. And she hugged him..

She wrapped her arms tight around his waist and buried her head in his chest..

He instinctively removed her duppatta and massaged the side of her neck.. And she hugged him tighter..

They stayed there. In each other's arms for a good whole five minutes. Saying nothing.. Doing nothing.. Just absolutely in content with each other! She drew back..

"Aaj ka din bohot lamba tha..! Tum apron mein kya kar rahe ho?"

"Oh.. wo cook nahi aayi thi.. Toh maine socha ki mein aaj kuch cook kar deta hoo!"

She knew what was going to play out next.. But she decided to play along because he was so irresistibly cute.. !

"Oh how sweet Armaan.. ! Tumne khaane mein kya banaaya hain?"

He gave a broad grin.
"Two minute ready to cook Maggi Noodles.. ! :D :D Meine ek ghante se banaakar rakhe hain! "

Uh-oh this was worse than she thought. Maggi Noodles made an hour earlier. Inedible. She smiled at his stupidity.

"Toh tumne Maggi banaane ke liye apron pehna hain? Ek ghante se? "

"Haan.. Tumhe surprise karne ke liye.. ! "

She just laughed and planted a soft kiss on his lips.

"Lekin.. Sirf Maggi? Who bhi ek ghante pehle bani hui?"
"Riddhima.. Dekho tum aise mat kaho.. Ek toh pehle bartan dhoondo.. Phir gas on karo.. Fill water fill up karo.. And mind you.. The C-O-R-R-E-C-T proportion.. Boil the water.. Then Maggi ko pani mein daalo.. Phir tastemaker daalo.. Phir.. "

"' Stir karo.. Phir gas switch off karo.. Phir maggi ko bowl mein daalo.. ! Wow Armaan.. ! So nice.. ! Tumne kitna.. What's the word.. 'Parishram' kiya hain! "

"Par'ishram.. You mean.. Hard work?". He gave his cocky grin.. "Yes.. I know.. Thank You.. Ab khaana khaaye? "

She was too tired to argue with him.. And there was no way in hell that she would throw the Maggi away..

So she just went to the table where he'd laid everything.. And dug into the bowl..

"Kaisa Hain?"

"Acchha hain! "

"Jhooti' ! Bohot bura hain naa.. ?." And he gave this very sad look.

"Armaan.. ! Tumne ek ghante pehle banaaya hain.. !" She laughed.

It tasted as bad as it could. But she ate it because she was hungry.. And because he had made it.. With so much of.. 'Parishram' ! :-)
