RECAP: Mayank is introduced. He is a total mumma's boy, and has shares a very close and sweet relationship with her. In college, Mayank is a total hit among the girls, who chase after him any chance they get. In reality, Mayank is a nerd (a "hot and sexy" nerd😳😆as the girls in his college think) and runs away from all girls because he hates them since they run after him. The exceptions to this are of course, Gunjan, Diya, Shilpa (Mayank's mom), his other female relatives and neighbours too. Gunjan and Diya, along with Mayank, Uday (Diya's twin brother), Benjamin (aka Benji, Diya's boyfriend), Samrat all make up a sort of closely-knot group of friends.
Part 2: Nupur's entry
The narrator continues...
Aur yeh hai Nupur Bhushan. Mast aur chulbuli, sirf achche khayaalon aur khushi se bhari, humesha doosron ko khushi aur chere par hasi deti hui Nupur. Vaise, kehne ko toh Nupur bohot baat karti hai. She is a complete chatterbox. Nupur loves challenges. Agar koi use challenge karein na, toh voh us challenge ko poora karke hi dikhati hai. Padhna Nupur itna pasand nahin karti, lekin agar Nupur kisi ek se bhi zyada marks exam mein paane hote toh voh padhkar dikhati hai. Nupur ka nature hi aisa hai ki sab log use pehli nazar mein hi pasand karte hain. Dosti karna chahte hain. Lekin, sirf ek insaan hai jo pehli nazar mein Nupur se shaayad nafrat karta ho. And he is none other than Mayank. Na jaane kyun, Nupur Mayank ko bohot irritating lagti hai. Lekin humari Nupur bhi kam nahin. Nupur Mayank mein badlaav zaroor laayengi. Nupur will change Mayank to such an extent that he will fall deeply in love with her, so much in love that he will be willing to do anything for her' Lekin yeh kaise hoga? Jaanne ke liye aagey ki kahaani toh dekhiye na...
In Morena...
At some roadside stalls selling handicrafts and flowers, there is a big crowd gathered. In the middle of the crowd, stands Nupur, collecting flowers and going away gifts from her many admirers.
"Nupur jee.. Yeh phool aap jaisi khoobsurat phool ke liye." Says one Nupur's deewana.
"And Nupur jee... Yeh taufa nahin. Mere dil ka ek tukda hai which I am giving you, mujhe yaad rakhne ke liye. I hope ki aap Mumbai jaake mujhe bhool toh nahin jaayengi." Another deewana presents Nupur with a huge heart shaped box of chocolates.
"Thank you. Shukriya tum sab logon ko." Says Nupur with a kind smile, and walks away once the crowd of her admirers disperses.
"Uff! Yeh sab mere peeche kitne deewane hai na? Main hoon hi toh aisi." Nupur says to herself. "Sach mein. Main apne in sab Morena ke deewanon ko zaroor miss karoongi jab Mumbai jaaungi."
"Kya soch rahi ho?" whispers Suhaani (Anupriya Kapoor), Nupur's friend in her ears, sneaking up on her.
"By god ki kasam! Suhi! Tune toh mujhe dara hi diya."
"I know Nupz. Aur tujhe darana toh main bilkul miss karoongi, jab tum Mumbai jaaogi."
"Main bhi tujhe bohot miss karoongi Suhi."
"Vaise, tumhari train kitni bajah hai?"
"Kal subah nau baje. Mujhe station chodne aayegi na tu?"
"Of course! Yeh bhi koi poochne vaali baat hai? Ab chalo, tumhari packing karni hai, varna tu toh kabhi akeli packing karegi hi nahin, aur kuch na kuch toh bhool hi jaayegi."
"Haan chale!" says Nupur, turning to lead the way to her home, whee Suhaani is going to help her pack her bag. But just before she can take a step forward, her way blocked by another admirer.
"Nupur jee, yeh phoolon ka guldasta aapke liye. Please kubool karein na." Says a shy guy, before practically shoving the flower bouquet in Nupur's face and running away blushing and smiling.
Nupur and Suhaani look at each other and burst out laughing, before finally heading to Nupur's home.
Next day at 8.45am...
Nupur reaches the train station on time, and sets her bags on the floor of her compartment, nearly tucking them in under the bottom-most seat. She turns to her father Vikram, and also Suhaani to say her final goodbyes.
"Apna khyaal rakhna beti. Aur haan, Mumbai pohonchte hi mujhe phone karna. Vijay aur Gunjan tumhein Mumbai ke Bandra station pe tumhein pickup karne aayenge, toh Vijay ke mobile se hi phone karna. Aur haan, train mein..." Vikram says, but it interrupted.
"Train mein agar koi tumhein khaana offer karein, toh mana karna. Mera dibba aapne pack kiya hai, vahaan se khaa loongi. Don't worry, bohot saara khaana hai aur mere liye do din tak reh hi jaayega, aapki tarah petu nahin hoon main" Nupur teases her father.
"Nupur!"
"Sorry bauji."
"It's ok. Aur haan apne samaan ka'"
"Main apne samaan ka dhyaan rakhoongi. Raat ko bhi jaagti rahoongi apne samaan ki rakhwali karke taaki koi chori na kar sake. Yeh trains jab raat ko station par rukte hai na tab andar chor ghuste hain aur chori karte hain." Nupur replies, teasing him once more.
"Nupur!"
"Sorry bauji! Phir se."
"Aur phir se, it's ok. Vaise, main tumhari yeh natkhat adaayein miss karoonga. Teerth yatra khatam hote hi main business shuru karoonga aur tumhein apne paas bulaaunga."
"I know bauji. Main bhi aapko miss karoongi. Bohot miss karoongi. Lekin roz phone bhi karoongi, taaki aap mujhe bhool na jaaye."
"Bhale main apni pyaari si beti ko kaise bhool sakta hoon? Lekin tum mujhe bhool na jaana."
"Bauji, Nupz aapko nahin bhoolegi, lekin lagta hai ki mujhe toh already bhool gayi hai. Dekho, main bhi kitni der se yahaan khadi hoon. Mujhe toh gale lagayi hi nahin." Suhaani pipes up.
"Arre pagli! Main tujhe kabhi nahin bhool sakti." Nupur tells her in reassurance.
Nupur hugs Suhaani and her father. Vikram and Suhaani get tears in their eyes.
"Ab tum dono un tv serials ki heroine ki tarah rona shuru mat karna. Bauji, aap toh mard hai na?!" Nupur teases again, easing the tension.
Nupur smiles and walks with them to the train door, and waves as they get off the train onto the platform. She keeps the smile on her face even as the train starts moving and she is still waving. But when the train finally leaves the platform, Nupur gets tears in her eyes, but quickly wipes them and returns to her seat.
