Recap: Mayank, to get back at Nupur, tells everyone that he likes Nupur and that she is his girlfriend. The gang is shell-shocked and suspects something is up. In class, Professor Sinha pairs up his students for a project. Nupur's supposed partner left the college, so Nupur joins Mayank and Sheena since the project is too difficult to be done alone. Meanwhile, Samrat misses Gunjan and is confused about his feelings for her. A few weeks pass, and Mayank, Sheena, Nupur are really into their projects. Nupur comes over to Mayank's home almost everyday to work on the project, as well as talk to Shilpa Aunty during the free time. Shilpa Aunty tries to match-make Mayank and Nupur but fails when they deny their feelings. Shilpa Aunty then gets a heart attack and is admitted to the hospital, where she gives Mayank and Nupur an oath to stay together always. Little does anyone know that this was all actually Shilpa Aunty's plan, and she faked the heart attack. But for her, Mayank and Nupur actually do stop fighting and start behaving in a more civil manner with each other, making the gang suspect even more.
Part 7: Aaya Mausam Dosti Ka
Benji and Uday try their hardest to find out the truth behind the whole Mayank-Nupur matter, but are unable to. Mayank and Nupur are now working on the project together, without Sheena who quit college to join an acting school. Nupur is over at Mayank's house again, working on the project, and she shares some idea with him.
Mayank: Great idea Nupur.
Nupur: Wow! Kya baat hai?! Aaj Mayank Sharma ne pehli baar Nupur Bhushan ki tareef ki.
Mayank: (smirks) Aur maine kabhi socha nahin tha ki Nupur Bhushan itna idea degi.
Nupur: (smiles) I know, right. (after some time') Erm' Mayank, hum Aunty ko apne rishte ki sachchayi kab batayenge?
Mayank: Ki hum ek doosre se pyar nahin karte, aur sirf dost hain?
Nupur: Ooh, toh ab hum dost hain?
Mayank: Well, ab toh hum dushman bhi nahin. Aur is project mein saath kaam kar rahe hai toh dosti se aur bhi faayda hoga. Toh'
Nupur: Toh kya?...
Mayank: Toh kya tum mujhse dosti karogi?
Nupur: Dekhoongi, sochoongi, kal parso kuch kahoongi'
Mayank: Yeh film ka dialogue tha?
Nupur: Haan, sorry. I have always wanted to use this dialogue on someone. But in answer to your question, yes.
Mayank: Toh friends?
Nupur: Forever'
Shilpa overhears this and smiles to herself. "Mera plan sach mein kaam kar raha hai. Paanch hafte mein Mayank aur Nupur itne achche dost bane. Ab unhein apne pyar ka ikraar karne mein der nahin lagegi'"

Samrat is in college, playing basketball, thinking of Gunjan. "Main ab bhi apne feelings ko kyun nahin samajh paa raha hoon? Nupur se toh pehle baat ki, lekin uski baaton ne mujhe aur confuse kar diya. Phir se baat karni padhegi. Jo main Chashmish ke liye feel karta hoon'"
Just as Samrat says this, Gunjan comes out of the canteen area, where she was studying with some friends, after college had ended. Samrat sees her and misses the basket, and the ball bounces over to Gunjan.
Gunjan picks up the balls, and holding it, comes over to Samrat, smiling. Gunjan's hair is getting blown by the wind, mesmerizing Samrat all over again. Gunjan just hands over the ball to Samrat, and with their hands touching, both feel some current passing through them.
Gunjan turns around, away from Samrat, and blushes. Samrat is also blushing on his side.

Nupur and Mayank are done with the project work for the day, and Nupur bids Mayank and Shilpa Aunty goodbye. As Mayank looks at Nupur's back, he thinks about her. Nupur feels something so also turns back to smile once again at Mayank, before walking out the door. Shilpa sees this and smiles to herself.
Mayank (thinking): Nupur itni bhi buri nahin hai. Achchi dikhti hai. Intelligent hai, aur apne kaam mein itna effort daalti hai ki woh kaam perfect nikle aur koi kami dhoondne ka mauka bhi nahin miley.
Nupur (thinking): Mayank kaafi achcha insaan hai. Dikhta handsome hai. Agar itna sadu aur padaaku nahin hota na, toh main ab tak ussey pyar kar hi baithti. Lekin bohot intelligent hai, aur ek achcha dost. Is project mein uske saath kaam karne mein bohot mazaa aayega.

A few more weeks pass by, Mayank and Nupur have submitted their projects along with the rest of the class, and now are waiting for the project results to be out. When they read the results on the notice board, and find out that they have topped the class for this project, they jump in joy and hug each other.
Suddenly realising that they are in an embrace, and their whole gang of friends are watching, Mayank and Nupur part, embarrassed. Mayank hurries to the library, while Nupur retreats nervously smiling at her friends.
Diya: How cute!! Mayank aur Nupur huh' (Diya glances from Mayank to Nupur to keep trying to catch glimpses of the others' retreating back when he/she thinks the other is not looking)
Benji: Ya Diya, tum bilkul theek keh rahi ho. Mayank aur Nupur look really cute together. (coming up beside Diya and putting his hand around her shoulder)
Uday: Ekdum made for each other. (being the typical, sometimes over-protective brother and removing Benji's arm from Diya's shoulder and standing in-between them)
Gunjan: Haan. Lekin di aur Mayank yeh kab realise karenge ki jo unke beech hai, woh pyaar hi hai. Mayank toh hai padaaku, serious aur thoda sadu jaise di kehti hai. Aur di toh Mayank ke bilkul opposite hai ' chulbuli, aur thodi si nautanki. (Gunjan walks up to stand on the other side of Diya)
Samrat : Lekin kehte hai na, ki opposites attract.
Samrat comes up next to Gunjan, where no one is. And when no one is looking, Samrat holds Gunjan's hand. As Gunjan looks up at Samrat in surprise, he winks at her, indicating that what he said about opposites attracting just moments earlier might have meant to be for them as well. Gunjan understands and blushes.

Mayank and Nupur are sitting beside one another in class, and so are Gunjan-Samrat and Diya-Benji. Poor Uday is sitting with some girl, trying to flirt with her, but she is completely ignoring him. The gang imagines the song "Aaya Mausam Dosti Ka" from Maine Pyar Kiya playing in the background as the class and the rest of the day passes.
(Mayank looks at Nupur sitting beside him and smiles at her, when she is not looking at him that is)
Tum ladki ho, main ladka hoon
Tum aayi ho sach kehta hoon
Aaya mausam dosti ka.., ki aaya mausam dosti ka
(Mayank turns back to the front to do copy notes the teacher has written, making it Nupur's turn to look at Mayank secretely)
Main ladki hoon, tum ladke ho
Yun lagta hai jab milte ho
Aaya mausam dosti ka...ki aaya mausam dosti ka
La la la la...la la la...
(Samrat looks at Gunjan and smiles. He imagines that their friendship is something more, something that was there long before, just that he never realised it.)
Jaane kyun lagta hai..meri tumhari pehle se pehchaan hai...(2)
(Gunjan silently thanks Samrat for being there for her always.)
Tum maan itna jo de rahe ho, mujhpe yeh ehsaan hai
(Samrat imagines himself proposing to Gunjan. Mayank on the other hand, also thinks about Nupur, but then shakes his head, telling himself to "Concentrate yaar Mayank!! Concentrate!!!")
Ehsaanon ki baatein choddo..

Aaya mausam dosti ka...ki aaya mausam dosti ka
Tara...ru ru ru ru...hey hey...ho hoho...
(Nupur looks at Mayank once again, andwonders what is the relationship between them. They are not enemies, but are newly friends. Moreover, they have to pretend to be a couple in front of Shilpa Aunty. So many relations in so few moments. What makes it all the more confusing is that there is some unknown, unseen thread connecting them')
Rishta nahi hai dono ko phir bhi baandhe koi dor hai...(2)
(Gunjan thinks about Samrat and their friendship, and also her feelings for him which extend beyond that.)
Is dosti ko kya naam de hum yeh baat kuch aur hai
(Diya and Benji, both very much in love with each other, imagine their deep love as a sort of madness that they feel ' the madness that keeps their hearts beating. Ironically, this is in answer to Nupur-Mayank's and Gunjan-Samrat's questions about what their relationships with the other actually means.)
Deewanapan keh sakte ho, dil ki dhadkan keh sakte ho
(All the couples imagine themselves, again, with their respective partners or future-partners. Uday on the other hand, just looks at the rest of them with a sad look on his face, wondering when his dream girl will come along')
