Hey guys! How are you all? Hope you guys are doing good!
Well, for about 10 days or so, I was away, and after I came back, I saw the response. And, umm, I'm on Cloud 9 right now. Thanks guys, thanks SO much for all your WONDERFUL comments. I've replied to each one of them, please go through, if possible. 😊
This part is dedicated to my friend, the birthday girl, NIDHI! Happy Brithday, baccha! Have a great day. 🤗 And I want a party, ASAP, alright??? 🥳
Coming to the update, this part is kinda short, but I'll make up for it in the last part. Alright? Update coming up....
PART - 4
"What's with the sudden display of emotions??"
"Did anybody tell you that your brother has a new girlfriend?" she whispered into my ears, sounding over-the-top.
"Uh... No?"
"Well, you're talking to her right now."
Ughhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! My brother and my best friend??? DISGUSTING!!!! Ugh! Ugh! Ugh!!!
"ARE YOU CRAZY?"
"Uh, yeah... Crazy about him..."
"Oh... Right... OH WAIT A MINUTE!! What did you just say??? Oh my GOD!! Give me a second."
I went, took my phone, called up Gunjan's mother and requested (rather begged) her to allow Gunjan for a sleep-over. We bade Raj a 'buh-bye' (He's my neighbour! Not a big deal!) and went into my room (dragging her AND Samrat along).
Since I was in complete shock, I chose to interrogate them in a word or two. "How long..."
"One year" said Gunjan at the same time when Samrat said "One month." (I would rather use of the choice of words 'mumbled incoherently' or 'completely embarrassed' or something like that, but they didn't seem to react that way. Fact of Life 8: My brother's new girlfriend was my best friend!!!!!!!!!!!! Unanswered question 3: WHY didn't either of them tell me that they liked the other person for a year or a month, or whatever...)
This really put me off. I chose to walk out of the room, before Gunjan and Samrat noticed that I was crying (because of their betrayal of trust. Stupid reason... I know.) I went into my brother's room, slammed the door, and started crying. (Fact of life 9: No matter how much of a bold exterior I put up, there was a sentimental idiot inside me.) When I felt a weight over my shoulders and looked up, I realised that I'd forgotten to bolt the door. As I said, idiotic me!
They started taking turns in consoling me. My brother hugged me and tried to quieten me (twice in a day, a record!), murmuring, "Now! Now! That's alright... we don't mom and dad to think that I'm a bad baby-sitter, do we?" That brought a tiny smile to my face.
"We did it!" Gunjan gave a hi-five to Sam.
"I did it! You didn't do anything...!" he smirked.
I laughed, "Now now!! I don't want to see you guys have your first fight today." I grinned and teased, "Cute little love-birds... Eh?"
"We're elder to you, Ms. Nupur. You forget that VERY often!"
"The cheek of you... Ms. Gunjan!!! It is understandable that BHAIYYA calls me younger, but under his idiotic influence... You too?"
"Woah! Now now...! You don't want to rude to me, or I'll tell your brother about...... and about what happened today." She laughed.
"NO!! He doesn't need to know about.....!!!!" It was my turn to blush.
Gunjan burst out laughing. "Why's there that shade of red on your face? Did you put too much make up?"
"GIRLS! Is this about Mayank and the fact that the kiddo likes him?" my brother questioned.
"GUNJAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There was no need to tell him!!!!!!!! You could have shut up, na?"
"Nupsie, I didn't tell him anything... Honest..."
"Then how did he come to know?"
"Oh... It was easy to figure out, Nupur... Gunjan did not have to tell me anything... You leave your diary at home when you go to school, don't you?" He laughed.
"GUNJAN, get your boyfriend out of my sight, or I am going to murder him. I'm perfectly serious..."
Thankfully, she willingly obliged. Who knew so much drama could happen in ONE day? All I wanted was a good night's sleep and then, everything would be perfectly fine. Picture perfect...
I dozed off with my diary in hand.

Well, with this comes the end of yet another boring, drab and irritating update of this SS. Even then, please press the 'Like' tab (self satisfaction, you see) and don't forget to drop in with your comments. 😆 I do apologise if there are any grammatical errors. (I'm sure there are many).
Love,
Aishwarya
