Punjabi translation by Navyanka as always ...
The moment she see's him, she runs towards him hugging him. She is really happy. Her eyes are shut tight and so is her grip around Maan. He can sense she really needed him around her. He hugs her back, both of them by the window with the moon light falling on their faces.
Maan: geet apni aankhen kholo…
Geet: nahi… mujhe dar lag raha hai… ke kahin main aankhen kholu toh aap gayab na ho jaye…
Maan kisses her on her forhead softly… and says… "dekho… main yahin hoon…."
Geet slowly opens her eyes… and looks at him... " sir aaj jo hua…..
Maan: ussey mujhe koi farak nahi padhta….
But now bothy of them remember all that happened in the evening… and she breaks away from him.. and suddenly there is this weird awkwardness between them.. both of look away … on either side of the window… both of them look at one another.. waiting for the other to start talking… when neither of them does … the other again looks forward… and then.. both of them… together say…
Geet: sir
Maan: geet… ( … together)
Geet: sir… thank you!
Maan: kiss liye
Geet: aaj jo aapne mere liye kiya… kisi apne ke khilaaf jaakar….
Maan: tum bhi toh meri apni ho na Geet….
Geet: aur agar … meri jagah koi aur hota….
Maan: tabhi main Dev ko aisi hi saza deta….
Geet smiles… and slowly moves towards Maan and slowly slips her arm into his and looks at him… for the first time… he looks at her … bends down to her… and lightly kisses her cheek very close to her lips.. envelops her in a hug….

The phone is ringing and a person picks the call… " Kya? Dev hoshiarpur main hai? ( it is revealed that the person on the other side is Naintara… she is mad with anger ….. she tries her best to control them as tears stream down in anger….. she says…. " hum pahunch rahe hai…. Hume apne lawyer se bath karni padegi…."
As the line goes dead, Naintara throws the phone against the wall and breaks it in anger… she throws her earrings out as well…
NT: hume pata tha… ke Dev kuch toh karne waaley hai…. Aur wo abhi tak uss geet ko nahi bhoole… hume kuch na kuch karke… uss Geet ko dev ki zindagi se humesha ke liye waapis nikalna hoga….
Back in hoshiarpur …
Geet is sitting next to Maan… she has fallen asleep on his shoulder leaning against the window…her hand in his.. as the first rays of the sun hit her face… she opens her eyes and see's maan sleeping … like always he had covered her with his jacket in the night… she remembers the first time that happened… and she smiles… a lightly strokes his face that is sleeping like a child and looks at him admiringly… she can hear her mother and her aunt talk about the early morning chores ….She realizes people are up and she cant hide Maan here for too long… but there was no other way to get him out… Today she would talk to her family about him… and she would officially get him into the house… but before that… she didn't want to take a chance… she calls him in her sweet husky voice…
Geet: Maan sir… !!
He doesn't respond…
She lightly touches his shoulder, he turns to the other side… holds her hand and sleeps once again.. in the process making her fall on him..she gets all awakward… as she slowly tries to pull away from him, he pulls her back and slowly opens his eyes….
Geet: good morning ( she says)
Maan: sacchi… good morning ( with sleepy eyes and his groggy voice ….)
He shuts his eyes again smiling….
Geet: maan sir.. please uthiye… please…
Maan: office nahi hai Geet … main holiday pe hoon… mujhe sona hai…
Geet: maan sir.. mere parivar waaley uth gaye hai.. agar unhone hum dono ke yahan dekh liya toh bahut gudbud ho jayegi… please aap uth jaiye…
Just then…. She hears her mother says…. " main Geet ko utha deti hoon…."
Geet: ( in a hurry) Maan sir please… ab aap jayiye… please…
She is worried and tensed and looks towards the door…Maan holds her hand and doesn't allow her to go…
Geet: Sir please… mujhe jaana hai… aur aap bhi ab jayiye….
Maan: Geet main tumhara mehmaan hoon.. pata chalne ho sab ko…. Mujhe koi darr nahi….
Geet: sir… accha nahi lagta ke aap yahan.. aise raat bhar… please.. samjhiye .. ( all tensd)
Maan: okay … okay .. okay! Main jaa raha hoon … lekin main aunga… tumhare parivar humari shaadi ki naat karne….
Geet blushes… Maan smiles… ( mahi music plays )
He turns to leave … as Geet calls him again and says… " Maan sir… I love you"
Maan simply smiles and leaves as Geet leaves from the store room. As she comes out of her store room, she bumps into her aunt.
Aunt: Tu othey ki kar rahi si
Geet: wo main….
Aunt: aur tu itni sawere uth ... Teri tabiyat te theek hai na...

NT: aunty ji.. main jaanti hoon.. aap bahut gussa ho… main apne pati dev ki taraf se aap sab se maafi maanti hoon
This is a shock to all… They hadn't known NT was Dev's wife…
NT: aap logon ke saath bahut bura hua…
Geet: hume aapke sahanubhuti ki koi zaroorat nahi hai… chale jaiye aap yahan se….

Geet gives Naintara an angry look….
NT: unki sar pe humesha se waise bhi aisaano ka bodj jaba rehta hai… wo apne chote bhai ke galti ko chupane ke liye tumse shaadi zaroor karenge…
Geet is mad at Nainatara for doing what she is doing…. She wants to react but saying something now would totally go against her so she decides she would talk to Maan first.. and ask him to not come… and she would convince her family first….

As she leaves .. NT thinks to herself…. " main yeh chance nahi le sakti thi Dev…. Geet ko aapke aas paas nahi rehne de sakti thi….."
As she is about to get into the car, she see's Maan come and park the vehicle in front of geet's house. NT is surprised. She changes her expression and goes to Maan and sheds some crocodile tears….
NT: accha hua aap aa gaye… main bhi inse maafi maangne aayi thi… aur.. maine Dev se itni vinnati ki… ke wo aapse mafi maange lekin…. ( Maan raises his hand asking her to stop and says…)
Maan: hum yeh sab waapis Delhi jaake kar baat karenge… abhi main yahan kisi important kaam se aaya hoon…. He walks ahead … as NT gets into the car and leaves…
Maan walks into the house much to geet's surprise.
Geet's aunt: ek ek karke taana maarne aa rahe hai… aao ab tumhe jo kasar baaki karni hai… tum wo poori kar do….
Maan is surprised….. " Dekhiye main yahan aap se ek bahut hi zaroori baat karne aaya hoon…"
The entire family is so tired and bored of this tamasha.. they turn to return to their respective work without paying any attention to Maan…..
Maan: Main aapki beti se shaadi karna chahta hoon….waise mujhe nahi lagta …. Ke jo aap logon ne uske saath pichli baar kiya uske baad mujhe aap logon se … aise izzat se baat karni chahiye… Lekin fir bhi… " geet ke khatir… main aap sabko ye batane aaya hoon.. ke main ussey shaadi karna chahta hoon…"
Darji: hum mien aaj bhi kuch izzat bachi hai putar... iss meherbaani di koi lordh nahi… hum apni geet de vaaste Munda lab lengey
Maan: main aapse pooch nahi raha tha… main aapko bata raha tha….
Geet's uncle: wah.. kya parivaar hai.. pichli baar jab humne apne parivar ke izzat ko bachane ke khaatir ussey humari beti se shaadi karne ke liye bola tha, tab toh inhone hume beizzat karke bana kar diya… wo bhi poore gaon ke saamne… aura b… jab khud ke izzat pe ban aayi hai… toh … yeh shaadi karke humpe ehsaan karna chahte hai?
Geet is worried things are taking a totally different turn…
Geet: darji… Maan sir.. aise nahi hai…
Darji: nahi puttar, tu nahi jaanti… umar ka tajurba hai mujhe… ik hi parivar de log..ik hi jaise sochde hai…
Maan: lekin Geet ko dekh ke toh aisa mujhe kabhi nahi laga… ( totally angry and losing his temper)
Geet: Maan sir! Yeh mera parivaar hai… aap unke bare main aise na bole toh behtar hoga…
Maan: magar Geet…!
Geet: Maan sir… abhi ke liye aap yahan chale jayiye….main aapse baad main baat karoongi…
Maan has his gaze fixed at Geet cos he cant gauge what she is trying to do….
Geet: chaliye sir.. main aapko bahar tak chod ke aati hoon….
Geet leads him outside and says… " sir… agar aap mujh pe bharosa karte hai.. toh please abhi ke liye aap ghar jayiye ….
Maan: Geet… tum fir se apne parivaar ke dabao main aakar kahin….
Geet: maan sir…!! Bye…
She turns and walks away as Maan drives away totally angry….
Geet comes into her house… as everyone is in deep discussion… and they are talking about the khurana family….
Mohinder: marte dam tak main apni beti ka khayal rakoonga…
Mom: nafrat hai mujhe uss parivar ke har sadasya se…
Darji: ik baar hor yahan aye..te main apni bandook nikal kar ik ik nu bhoon dalanga...
Geet's mom: geet tumhe ghabraneki koi zaroorat nahi hai… hum tumhe kahin jaane nahi denge…
Geet: lekin main Maan Sir se Shaadi karna chahti hoon. ( she has never sounded more sure or confident about anything she had to convey to her family)
Everyone is shocked.
