..Prologue..
The Angels
Some 2-3 months before Angad and Kripa's wedding ceremony…
A scene at Ridhima's veterinary clinic… A woman had just barged in to her office begging her to save her dog- max's life.
Ridhima had sent the girl out along with her brother to peacefully operate on the dog.
After the operation completed, the office door opened and Ridhima stepped out. She saw them standing close to each other. She always had a bad timing according to Angad.
"He's out of danger. Though do you know why he would be swallowing barbed wire?" Ridhima asked not really wanting a reply.
Kripa shook her head and thanked the doctor profusely. "…. Oh I don't know what would have happened without u… You r like a god! Saving lives"
"It's my job. You paid for it. Nothing personal. You don't have to thank me like this and I am no god!" Ridhima snapped and walked away, ticked off at Kripa's words.

At the same time, somewhere in the heavens high above us…
The man sat in his office and glared at Armaan, then spoke in his strictest tone, "You r not god!! Damnit!! Stop acting as if you are! When you are ordered to stand down and stay back, you bloody well stand down and stay back instead of going on to attack. I don't care if it ended the fight quicker, it also got you 2 broken ribs. You'll die at this rate fool!! How many times do I have to tell you to stop being so reckless…."
As the superior behind the desk continued his ranting, Armaan raised his hands to his ribs for damage check, merely bruised now.. 2-3 hrs more, they'll be good as new..
"Are you even listening to me?!!" The man shouted half standing up, his face red with frustration and fury.
"Not really… you say the same thing always… what's it been now… 10 yrs? It hasn't stopped me. I have been same as ever and the risks haven't killed me as yet. And even if I do die.. What's it to you? As I am obviously not one of your regular fighters, who actually do die now and then…" Armaan drawled lazily and looked outside thoroughly bored.
The superior already red with anger, stood up in rage and shouted "Armaan!!! I will-".. Only to be interrupted by another person walking in. His own superior. One of the angels...
"Sir what are you doing here.." the superior stuttered from behind the desk and Armaan slowly swung around to observe the angel. If his superior was the mad raging bull, then the angels were like the irritating preaching fairies, who had never lifted a finger in their whole lives.. Armaan despised them and their laid back nature. If they were so mighty and powerful then why not lend them some help to fight off the hell demons?
"I was ordered to deal with the insubordination here. Young warrior, do you not want to live? Do you thrive in risking your life unnecessarily?" the angel asked Armaan directly, ignoring the superior.
"I am not your young warrior, all your other warriors admit it. I don't risk anything, I am not easy to kill. If I can save a warrior life or two by being the way I am.. Then what's the harm in it?"
"What if we were to lose you due to one of your impulsive foolishness? True enough aren't one of ours, but you are still a warrior. No, this has gone off long enough. Warnings don't work on you and neither does punishment of any kind. It has been decided by the council above that you are to be send to earth where you won't have a chance to…"
Armaan quickly grabbed on the chair in front and furiously blinked hi eyes as sudden darkness overwhelmed him. Earth.. Earth… send to earth… His heart pounded loudly in his chest as if it just might burst out any moment…
Armaan saw the angels lips move to complete his pronouncement, but hardly heard what the angel was saying, his ears rang and adrenaline pumped high in his veins Earth.. that word had always had a strange effect on him.
Armaan watched as the angel raised his arm to send him down to earth, he felt the floor beneath his feet become soft and then disappear. They were throwing him out like some rabid dog.. As if he would let them do just that.. Shaking with every emotion he had ever felt, Armaan lunged forward to grab onto his heavenly warriors knife on the desk before the floor completely disappeared and he fell…
He saw the superior raging at his taking the knife, the angel shrugging with indifference, he felt his emotions leaving him and a numbness taking over his body till the only thing he felt was falling through endless space..

CHARACTERS
The main characters are:
Ridhima Khanna: The quite reserved girl, who posses a heart of steel or as some believe no heart at all. Was she always like this? What would it take to make her feel again? She is a "Halfling"........
Armaan: The man without a past. The man who fights along heavenly warrior, but isn't a warrior himself. Who also fights along humans, but isn't a human either. Who is he? What is he? What would he do when he meets a person who makes him feel things, he has never felt before.
Angad Khanna: Ridhima's real brother. A charismatic man who had his world turned upside down and inside out when he met his mate/ love of life Kripa Sharma. He is married to Kripa. He is a "Halfling" too........
Kripa Sharma Khanna: The simple, bubbly girl; loyal to her master/liege, deadly to her enemies. her life changed drastically 20 yrs back and now it changes yet again. after 20 yrs will she risk everything again for her love? She is a werewolf....
Sujal Grewal: The man who had seen the dark side of everything. He accepted Kirpa into his house when she had been condemned to die alone and saved her her love Angad's life, even when they don't see eye to eye. He is a vampire...
Kashish Sinha Grewal: She is sujal's wife, a mere human, loved by all and the one who rules over several preternatural beings....
Rest of the charecters will be introduced as they appear.
"halflings" are being which are either 2 natured or have born or coupling of two different species....
Ridhima and her brother are born of such fate... what they really are.. what different powers they possess.. u will find as u read on.
