It was now the next morning...Kashish woke up in the morning with a smile on her face...she sat up in bed..thinking about yesterday...she slowly brought her knees closer to her and rested her head on her knees as she was lost in Sujal's thoughts..when she looked at the time...and thought of calling Sia and Rohan...Kashish picked up her mobile and dialled their landline...Sia who was in the kitchen came as she heard the phone..she placed it on loudspeaker...

Sia: Hello..kaun

Kashish: mere alawa tum dono ko kaun phone kar sakta hai....

Sia: Kashish tu..kaisi ho tum...aaj poore do din baad phone kar rahi ho...kahan thi tum kal

Kashish: kal...kal to meri date thi...to uske saath kuch jyada hi busy thi main...

Sia: date...kiske saath...Sujal ke saath?

Kashish: uske alawa aur kaun ho sakta hai...me and Sujal....whole day...

Sia: kya!! sach!!..yaani tumne Sujal ko sab sach sach bata diya ke tum usse pyar karti ho..par tum to abhi usse jaana chahti thi na

Kashish: to maine kab kaha ki maine use bata diya....abhi use kuch nahi pata....woh sirf dost ki tarah aaya tha...

When Rohan who was stood at the door listening came into the lounge...

Kashish: guys I still need some time...main bata dungi...aur waise bhi Sujal kaha janewala hai...woh hamesha yahi hai mere pass....

Kashish cuts the call and places the mobile on the side...she sat thinking over there words for a moment and then placed her mobile on the side...getting out of the bed...and going towards the shower

One day Sujal had come to Sinha House for dinner as usual...the four of them sat down for dinner whilst kashish serves Abhinav...abhinav just smiles at her...

Abhinav: thanks beta...

Kashish: ab aap muje bhi thanks kehne lage...khana nahi milega agar thanks kaha to..

Abhinav; acha baba...theek hai...nahin kehta thanks...ab khush?

Kashish: bahot hi jyada,,,,,,,

Abhinav just smiles at her and slowly places his hand on her head...

Abhinav: meri achi beti...jiske ghar bhi jaayegi...us ghar ko chaar chand laga degi...tumhare sasural waale bohat hi khush kismat honge...jo unhe tum jaisi bahu milegi...

Kashish: woh to muje bhi pata hai dad....main chaar nahi balke pure solah chand lagaungi...

Sujal just looks up at her with a smile as he takes a bite...

Abhinav: bilkul sahi kaha tumne beta...waise Kashish beta...ek baat tho batao...muje yeh to pata hai ke Maahi ko kaisa ladka chahiye..par kabhi tumhari pasand ke baare me pata nahin chala...tumhe kaisa ladka chahiye?

Kashish: muje........hmmm...ek minute...

Kashish starts to get up from the chair and go..when they all look at her in surprise

Abhinav: arre beta...kahan jaa rahi ho tum...pehle khaana to khaa lo

Kashish: ek minute dad.......

She goes towards her room...and picks up 3 sheets of paper and 3 pens...she returns and passess a pen and a sheet to each one of them..they just look at the empty sheets in their hands....

Sujal: iska kya karna hai?

Kashish: jaisa main tum teeno ko batati hoon bilkul waise hi likhna....

Abhinav: hmm...theek hai beta...tum bolo..

Kashish: muje..muje aisa ladka pasand hai jo bahot hi paisewala ho....jiske pass ek bahot hi bada bunglow ho.....5 se 6 cars ho...jiske pass bahot si maids ho...cooks ho......jo bahot hi handsome aur dashing ho.....bahot hi bada businesswala ho....jo business ke saath saath ghar ka bhi sara kaam karna janta ho....jo muje her mahine foreign trip pe leke jaye.....aur muje shopping ke liye apna pura bank account hi de de.....aur...aur kuch reh gaya kya ...

They all look up at Kashish in surprise...their hands slightly tired as they looked at all the points written on the sheet and then at Kashish...

Abhinav: aur bhi kuch baaki hona tha beta?

Kashish: hmm...bahot kuch...jo shayad in paper pe nahi likh paoge tum sab...isse achcha hai ki ise aap sab trash kar do...

They all look up at her in disbelief....

Maahi: kya!!...trash karden...Kashish yeh mazaak hai..

Kashish: kyunki muje jaisa ladka chahiye uske liye ek kagaz nahi balke kitab bhi kam pad jayegi...

Sujal: matlab...Kashish saaf saaf kaho na tumhe kaisa ladka chahiye

Kashish: muje sirf aisa ladka chahiye...jise main beimtihaan pyaar kar saku....main jaisi hoon waise hi muje apnaye...thodi si pagal....aur muje koi paise ya kamyabi nahi chahiye...muje sirf thoda sa uska pyaar aur zindagi bhar ke liye saath chahiye....jo mujpe sabse jyada yakeen kar sake...main uske saath sare sukh dukh bat saku...aur uske chehre ki ek muskaan ke liye main her din aanshu bahane ko bhi taiyaar hoon....milega muje aisa ladka kahi..

Abhinav: beta...main tumhare jazbaaton ki kadar karta hoon...aur main poore dil se chahta hoon ke tumhara yeh sapna sach hojaye..lekin beta aaj ke zamaane me aisa ladka milna bohat mushkil hai...jo tumhare jazbaaton ko samje...aur tumse utna pyar kare jitna tum usse karti...

Maahi: dad aap fikar mat kijiye...Kashish ko jaisa ladka chahiye woh usse khud hi dhund legi...isliye aapko fikr karne ki zaroorat nahin hai

Kashish: ofcourse...ab shaadi karke uske saath muje rehna hai to use pasand karne ka hakk bhi to mera hi hai....aur main na dad koi arrange marrige nahi karungi...main sirf love marrige karungi...aapko problem to nahi hogi na...

Abhinav: muje bilkul problem nahin hogi beta...muje tujpe poora bharosa hai...main jaantha hoon ke tum jisse bhi pasand karogi...woh soch samaj kar karogi...jisme tumhe khushi mille...ussi me meri khushi hogi..

Kashish: ab aap sab muje aise dekhna bandh kare aur khana khaye...

Abhinav just smiles at her and starts eating...Maahi and Kashish start eating again too..Sujal was holding the fork in his hand as he looked at Kashish for a moment...he was just thinking of how innocent she was..when he first met her he thought she was spoilt...but slowly he realised that she was a person who found her happiness in the smallest of things..her dreams may be big...but her needs were small...he just prayed that all her dreams would come true and she would be happy in life as she deserved it..when Kashish looked up and saw him staring..he came back to reality and smiled at her...and then started to eat...Kashish just stared at him for a moment with a smile and then continued to eat..

A few days later...Kashish had gone shopping to the mall...it was the season of sales so Kashish was very excited and was shopping around buying everything she liked..it was just after lunch time when she finished her shopping...she took the shopping trolley towards the checkout and waited for her turn...when it was finally her turn...the person at the till stood there scanning all the items whilst Kashish waited..when he asked her for the payment...Kashish took out her credit card and gave it to him..the man swiped the card and waited..when he looked up at her...

Man: Mam..the card is declined...

Kashish: WHAT!!!!!.....check it one more time ple...

He looks at her and then tries again...swiping the card..he then shakes his head..

Man: no Mam..it still says card declined..do you have another credit card?

Kashish: no....i dont have...what should I do?,,,

Man: you can pay in cash...otherwise you'll have to leave them..

Kashish: hey I am not leaving anything....i will pay by cash...let me see.....

He just waits at the till as Kashish takes out her purse...she takes out the cash and counts it..but she didn't carry enough to pay the whole amount..

Kashish: I am sorry....I dont have cash...

Man: i'm sorry mam...you can't purchase the items...unless you have a family member or friend that may be able to pay for you..i can keep these items aside

Kashish: good ...good idea....i am calling my friend...just put them on hold ple...

Man: ok Mam...i'll leave this to the side...

He leaves the items and moves to the next till serving the other customers...when Kashish decides to call Sujal...she takes out her mobile and calls him..Sujal who was sat in his cabin with Maahi..discussing a project..excuses himself and picks up his mobile..he sees that its Kashish and answers it..

Sujal: hello...

Kashish: Sujal...ple kisi ko yeh khabar mat lagne dena ki phone pe main hoon...Maahi ko to bilkul bhi nahi...ple..

Sujal just looks at Maahi sat across him..reading a file..

Sujal: kya hua?

Kashish: main mall me hoon aur mera credit card kaam nahi kar raha....aur yeh log muje jane nahi dete...ple tum abhi ke abhi metro mall me aa jao....ple..

Sujal: acha theek hai..main bas abhi nikalta hoon..bye

Kashish: bye..

She cuts the call but Sujal keeps the phone next to his ear..

Sujal: haan daima...bas do minute me nikal raha hoon...bye...

Maahi looks up as he cuts the call...

Maahi: daima ne is waqt tumhe bulaya hai....

Sujal: haan woh..subah main ek file dining table pe hi bhul gaya tha...aur daima ne lunch bhi banaya tha mere liye..isliye unhone ghar aane ko kaha hai...main kuch hi dair me aata hoon...

Maahi: thik hai...jaldi aana...meeting hai...

Sujal: yeah..i'll be back before the meeting..i'll see you soon...bye

Sujal gets up and wears his coat...he picks up his keys and then leaves for the mall..he calls Kashish as he drove to find out what shop she was in and then headed to the mall..Kashish who stood there waiting...continued to look at her wristwatch...and then the entrance..when she saw Sujal..she sighed in relief as she saw him...

Kashish: finally tum aa gaye...thank god..

Sujal: just relax Kashish...kahan hai tumhara samaan..

Kashish: waha do cart me...

Sujal turns his head to look at what she had bought...he was shocked to see both carts full...

Sujal: itna samaan?..card decline to hona hi tha..

Kashish Sujallll.....main 3 ka soch rahi thi lekin kat ke 2 kiye....

Sujal looks at her in disbelief..

Sujal: yeh kaat ke liya hai tumne!

Kashish: haa...

Sujal: you really are impossible Kashish...ab chalo..payment karte hain...

Kashish looks at him and then follows him to the till...Sujal passed his credit card which was accepted...finally they paid for the items and placed all the bags in the carts...

Sujal: chalen Kashish?

Kashish: hmm....Sujal...

Sujal: haan..kaho

Kashish: Thanks...Thanks for everything....

Sujal: Kashish...isme thanks ki kya baat hai...aren't we family?

Kashish: more than family...

Sujal just smiles at her..

Sujal: acha batao..tumne lunch kiya?

Kashish: shopping me busy thi to bhool gayi...

Sujal: tumhe shopping karte waqt waise bhi kuch yaad nahin rehta..chalo lunch karte hain

Kashish: aur maahi..

Sujal: Maahi to office me hai...aur waise bhi maine usse kaha tha ke daima ne file lene aur lunch khaane ke liye muje ghar bulaya tha..

Kashish: mere liye jooth bola...sorry..

Sujal: its ok Kashish...isme sorry ki kya baat hai...ab kya main apni dost ke liye itna bhi nahin karsakta..

Kashish; hmm...dost....kar sakte ho..

Sujal: to phir tumhe sorry kehne ki zaroorat nahin hai...ab chalen...phir meri ek ghante me meeting bhi hai..

Kashish; hmm chalo...tum baatein bahot karne lagte ho....

Sujal: main?...main baatein kar raha tha ya tum..

Kashish: main to chatter box hoon... chale///

Sujal: aur main bhi dheere dheere chatterbox ban raha hoon..chalo..

He just smiles at her and then they head off towards the restaurant in the mall..

15 minutes later'they reach a continental restaurant which was close by'Sujal parked the car in the parking lot and then they both made their way into the restaurant'Sujal asked for a table for 2..the waiter leads them to a table and they both take a seat..he places the menu cards infront of them...Sujal started looking at the menu card'

Sujal: kya logi Kashish

Kashish: ofcourse ab hum continental me hai to main aloo parathe to order nahi karungi...isi liye jo tumhe achcha lage..

Sujal just smiles'

Sujal: theek hai..main hi kuch order karta hoon'

Kashish: please...

Sujal orders veg Manchurian for the two of them and some soft drinks.. the waiter leaves with the menu cards and their order..as they sat waiting for the food to arrive

Sujal: Kashish'tumne kabhi bhi continental khaana nahin khaaya kya?

Kashish: khaya hai lekin meri style me...

Sujal: tumhari style me matlab?

Kashish: thoda sabar kar mere yaar sab pata chal jayega...

Sujal: hmmm'intezaar rahega...waise ek baat to batao..tumhe Mauritius kaisa lagga..i know tumhe India se bohat pyar hai..par kya tum yahan settled feel karti ho

Kashish: haa....kafi kuch hai yaha....bas ab yahi pe shaadi karke uske saath sattle karna ka intzaar hai..

Sujal: ohhh'yaani who insaan jisse tum pyar karti ho'who Mauritius me rehta hai'muje lagga who India se hai'

Kashish: uska dono se nata hai...i mean jaha main waha woh...jaha woh waha main...

Sujal: kya!!...main kuch samja nahin'who yahan aur wahan'dono jagah kaise hosakta hai?

Kashish: confuss...tum rehne do..waqt aane pe tumhe bhi bata dungi ki pyaar kisse karti hoon..

Sujal: hmmm'and I'm sure who bhi ek surprise ki tarah saamne aayega'kyunki tum to binna surprise diye kuch karti hi nahin ho'

Kashish: ofcourse...

Sujal: Kashish...sambhal ke...kahin ek din tumhe hi na surprise miljaye

Sujal: par tum jaisi bhi ho...waise hi perfect ho...isliye kabhi bhi kissi ke liye mat badalna..

Kashish: apne pyaar ke liye bhi nahi

Sujal: nahin..agar woh insaan tumse sacha pyar karta ho..then he will love you for who you are...if you have to change for him then that means he never really loved the inner you...it was your outer beauty that attracted him

Kashish: waqt aane pe dekhte hai ki kaun kitna badalta hai...

Sujal: woh dekho...khaana bhi aagaya...

The waiter comes with a tray as he places down the plates infront of them...and the soft drinks on the side...the waiter left from there...Kashish just looked at the food picking up her fork..as she dug it inside..playing with the noodles...Sujal picked up his fork and looked at her...

Sujal: Kashish...khaao na

Kashish: ek minute....waiter....

The waiter just stops and returns...

Waiter: yes mam..can i help you?

Kashish: can i get some red chilli powder ple...along with some lemon and sugar..

Waiter: sure mam...i'll be back soon...

He leaves from there and Sujal looks at Kashish...

Sujal: Kashish...tumne...red chilli,lemon aur sugar kyun mangwaye?

Kashish: yeh bhi khana hai .....isse to achcha hospital ka khana hota hai...

Sujal: Kashish...continental food to aisa hi hota hai...and trust me...it tastes good...atleast take a bite..then decide

Kashish: yeh..yeh tumhe achcha lagta hai....shaadi ke bad bhi aisa hi banwaoge kya...

Sujal: kiski shaadi...meri?..ofcourse...ab shaadi ka matlab yeh to nahin ke aap apni eating habits badal do...i would not expect that from my partner and i'm sure she wouldn't expect that from me either

Kashish: woh to shaadi ke bad hi pata chalega ki kaun kitna badalta hai.......

Sujal: tum aur tumhara shaadi waala topic...i really think you should consider match making..

He smiles at her whilst taking a bite..

Kashish: tumhara case sabse pehle haath me lungi...

Sujal: par tum to apna pehle lene waali thi na...ab mere peeche kyun pad gayi ho..

Kashish: kuch...kuch bhi to nahi......woh waiter aa gaya ......mere taste ka saman leke..

When Sujal turns around to see the waiter...he places the tray down on the table and leaves from there..Kashish starts to add one after another in her dish mixing it with her fork........

Sujal just there staring at her in surprise...she looks at her food with a smile..and takes a bite as she relished the taste...

Sujal: pehli baar maine is type ka combination dekha hai

Kashish: its called ..indian meets western..

Sujal: ab iska kya matlab hua...

Kashish: jaise main aur tum....

Sujal: main aur tum?..ab isse...actually i am not even gonna ask you this time warna main aur bhi confuse hojaunga...

Kashish: hmm.. tum apna lunch karo...

Sujal: aur tum bhi apna special lunch enjoy karo..

He just smiles at her and then starts to eat...she also began eating as they talked further..after lunch...Sujal dropped Kashish home and then left for the office..just in time for his meeting

Another week passed by as normal...one evening..Abhinav called Maahi and Kashish to his room after dinner...after dinner...Maahi and Kashish followed Abhinav to his room...Abhinav took a seat and looked at them...

Abhinav: main jaanta hun is waqt tum dono ke dil me kahin sawaal uth rahe honge...ke maine tum dono ko yahan kyun bulaya...darasal muje tum dono se bohat zaroori baat karni thi...tum dono ki shaadi ke baare me...ab waqt hogaya hai ke main tum dono ki shaadi karne ki sochun...

Maahi: shaadi...itni jaldi.....

Kashish: jaldi kaha hai ....right dad...

Abhinav: right beta...ab dekho Maahi...Kashish tumse choti hai...phir bhi woh is baare mein soch rahi hai...aur barri beti hone ke naate tumhari shaadi pehle hona zyada zaroori hai...

Kashish: dad bilkul sahi keh rahe hai.....lekin dad aapne yaha hume bulaya iska yeh matlab nahi ki main aapki pasand ke ladke se shaadi kar lungi....ladka meri pasand ka hoga...

Abhinav: to beta maine kab manna kiya hai...agar tumhari nazar me koi hai to tum bejijak mujse kehdo..main tum dono ki marzi jaan na chahta hoon

Kashish: Maahi ka pata nahi lekin main ek ladke se pyaar karti hoon aur usi se hi shaadi karungi warna kisi se bhi nahi..........

Maahi and Abhinav look at Kashish in shock...

Maahi: kya!..tum kissi se pyar karti ho..aur..hume bataya tak nahin...

Kashish: woh to main aapko nahi bata sakti kyunki abhi tak muje khud pata nahi ki woh bhi mujse pyaar karta hai ki nahi......lekin main...main use bahot pyaar karti hoon...sabse jyada...........

Abhinav: Kashish beta...tum usse pyar karti ho to ab tak usse bataya kyun nahin...usse baat to karni chahiye na tumhe..tum chaho to main baat karun...

Kashish was so shocked to hear Sujal's name when she just laughed about it...

Kashish's heart just broke into millions pieses......She just looks at Maahi who was looking down with a smile on her face as Abhinav puts his hand on her head.....

Abhinav: iska matlab tumhari taraf se haan hai..kyun Maahi beta'theek kaha na maine'tumhe Sujal pasand haina?

Maahi: haa dad..muje Sujal se shaadi karne me koi problem nahi agar use koi aitraaz na ho to..

Maahi hugs Abhinav whilst he gently places his hand on her head with a smile'he was feeling so happy..none of them relised what Kashish was going through at that moment'she just stood there feeling numb'her heart aching at the sudden shock she received'she did not know how to react..what to say'she wanted to tell Abhinav what she felt for Sujal but on what basis..she did not know how he felt'Abhinav's voice echoed in her mind as she slowly started taking steps backwards'when she turned around and started to leave from there..Maahi moved back and saw Kashish go'

Maahi: Kashish'kahan jaa rahi ho tum?

Kashish: tumhe tumhara prince mil gaya....main ...main khud apne prince ki talash me ja rahi hoon....

Maahi: ohh'all the best'aur hume jald hi good news sunana'

Maahi just smiles at her as she sees Kashish going'but no one saw the tears that were running down her cheeks as she left the room..
