PART 2

Recap : Armaan and Maan are selected to intern in Sanjeevani Hospital. Armaan meets Riddhima and Muskaan and teases Riddhima. Muskaan and Riddhima are going to give their final exams for the third year M.B.B.S.

Muskaan and Riddhima are in the examination hall. Muskaan looks at the question paper and has a troubled look on her face.

Muskaan (in her mind) Babaji yeh toh saare questions naye naye se lag rahe hai… Kahi main dusra subject to padh kar nai ayi na….😆 Hayoo rabba… nahin nahin aisa ho hi nahin sakhta…. Then she turns the page and it looks that she knows the answer to the question on that page and starts writing.

Riddhima is looking at the questions and answering them rapidly on the answer sheet.

Armaan and Maan decide to go to the cafeteria and eat Samosa's made by Chotu (the canteen boy who is a smart learner and works in the cafeteria part time to support his family and his education)

Armaan: Kaisa hai Chotu. Sab thik thak. Koi tang toh nai kar raha na tujhe.

Chotu: Nahi Armaan bhaiya. Ulta customers jyada ane lage hai aur kaam bhi baad gaya hai.. par yeh toh acchi baat hai.. Aap batao.. exams clear kar diya……?? Arre Maan bhaiya aap kaise ho…. Aapne toh top kiya hoga na…

Maan: Mazze main chotu… nahin yaar but thik thak pass ho hi gaya… kahan tere Armaan bhaiya jaisa luck mera… ki kuch bhi padho aur ho jao pass…

Armaan: Koi baat nahin Maan tu mere pass class lene aajana.. Kyunki tu mera dost hai tujhe 50% discount bhi duga main… ( to Chotu) Chotu Do Chicken Sandwich, Do Burger, do Fries,[Maan looks at Armaan and wonders how nice is he that he is ordering for me too] do Samose, and Ek Soda Large Table pe Bhej.. aur Maan tu kya khayega…..

Maan: Kya Matlab tune yeh sab hum dono ke liye order kiya na…

Armaan: Arre nahin yeh sab toh mera order hai tu bol tujhe kya khana hai… arree tujhe bhi same same khana hai…….( he hugs Maan) tu mujhse kitna pyaar karta hai( fake tears) ki main jo khaunga tu bhi who khayega.... Chotu who order double karde….hohoh order toh already double hai sivai Soda ke.. Chotu four times kar de…

Maan: Nahin Thankyou. Chotu mujhe bus ek Sandwich aur Diet Coke dena..

Chotu: Ji bhaiya.. aap baithiye main bhejta hoon

Maan and Armaan turn around and look for a place to sit.

In the examination hall its 10 minutes to 3 and the exam is about to be over. Both Riddhima and Muskaan are tensed. Finally the exam ends and they hand in their papers to the Professor and leave the examination hall.

Muskaan: Riddhima bade pange ho gaye mujhse Exam mai aisa lagta hai mujhe.. Mujhe toh laga kahi main koi aur exam main toh nahin baithi na [ Riddhima laughs] aur meri is halat pe tu has rahi hai…

Riddhima: Nahin Muski main tujhpe kaha main toh sitaution pe has rahi hoon.. Chal koi baat nahin. Canteen ja ke kuch khate hain phir hostel ja ke padhna bhi hain na kalke Paper ke liye.

Muskaan: thik hai chal..

In the Canteen they go to Chotu who is at the counter…

Chotu: Arre kaise ho didi aap dono ke paper kaise ja rahe hai

Muskaan: Puch mat yaar Chotu….. ek gaya char aur baki hai.. filhaal toh two Samose de Chotu… paper ki baat maat kar…

Chotu: Ji didi aap baithiye main bhejta hoon…

Muskaan and Riddhima look for place to sit and the canteen is full.

Armaan: Arre Riddhima, Muskkaaan yaha aa jao.

Riddhima: Kaha yeh Bandar phir dikh gaya

Muskaan : Chal na aur kahin toh jaga bhi nahin hai bethne ke liye….. ( they go near the table and Muskaan grabs a seat and sits) Hi Armaan ….. so kya result hai… lagta hai tu bada khush hai aaj itna sa hi kha raha hai( seeing the many plates on his side..) dieting par haiiii

Armaan: Hai yaar Muskkaan .. ek tu hi hai jo mujhe sammajti hain….. Ab Sanjeevani main intern hoon toh fit toh rehna padega na…( looking at Riddhima..)

Riddhima: Kya…… tum aur Sanjeevani main….. ho hi nahin sakta….

Chotu comes with their Samosas and then goes…

Muskaan: Arre Riddhima ho gaya hoga select tu yeh le Samose kha…..

Riddhima…: Muskkaan ………. Nahin… iska matlab malum hai…..( she is about to say that I will have to see his face after one year in Sanjeevani cuz I am going there only…. )

Muskaan( while eating her Samosa and asking Armaan for his Samosa tooo): Kya Ro#ddhhhhiima(whle eating)

Riddhima: (becomes tensed and angry… ) kuch nahin Muskaan chal tu yahan se…

Muskaan: (while grabbing her Samosa) …… Arre par mujhe khane to de..

Riddhima: BAAD main kha len.a…..

Muskaan: Chotu bill mere account main likh dena….( Ridhhim a forgot about the order totally..)

Maan: Lagta hai kuch jyada hi khush hai who tujhse.. tabhi toh aise chali gayi…

Armaan: Haan to bhai… mujhse log itna pyaar jo karte hain… I have that effect on people..[ he is wondering y did she react like that]

Maan is like Phir shuru ho gaya yehhh…

At Night:

Riddhima and Muskaan are trying to do group study but Muskaan keeps on eating something or the other…

Riddhima: Muskaannnnn….. khane pe nahin bio pe concentrate kar.. kal usi ka toh exam hai……

Muskaan: Kya yaar usi par toh kar rahi hoon main…. Khane ka bio…. Samose main kon kon si sabji hoti hain… jaise potato, onion..etc etc…

Riddhima: ha.. phir kal paper main yehin likh ke ana

Muskaan continues her eating and studying simultaneously not paying attention to what Riddhima said…

Riddhima: Main Dad ko call kar ke aati hoon. He must be worried. (goes outside on the balcony and dials to Dr. Shashank.) Hello Dad… Kaise Ho aap

Dr Shashank: Hi Riddhima beta.. main thik hoon.. How are u..?? I was worried that you didn't call me today..

Riddhima: Yeah Dad I was gonna call you ealier but in the stress of studying for tommorow's exam I just forgot everything…

Dr. Shashank: Hmmm… beta don't take stress… I kno u studied the entire year… really welll…. Don't worry everything will be oky…

Riddhima: Thank you Papa.. Did you eat dinner..?

Dr. Shashank: Yes My child I ate Dinner.. and was waiting for you call only.. Now I will be going off to sleep as I have a surgery tommorow morning and new interns are coming in too tomorrow at Sanjeevani.

Riddhima: Hmm…. ( to herself: Aur woh bandar Armaan bhi toh aa raha hai....don't worry... I will join you in one year too Papa phir us Armaan ki dhulai kar dungi main😆) Goodnight Papa. N goodluck I kno you don't need it cuz you are the best heart surgeon I have ever known and your patients are in safe hands…

Dr. Shashank: Thankyou beta but you must not flatter me so much.. ehhe.. Goodnight Riddhima sleep well and good luck for ur exams..

She hangs up the phone and stares at the sky, at the stars…

Dr Shashank: (holding the phone close to him) Take care Riddhima… Missyou

Riddhima( to herself): I know Papa that you miss me.. you don't say it but I understand that you miss me and Mom. Just one more year Papa and then I will be there with you and we will work together and go to Sanjeevani together…

Muskaan come in the balcony..: kya hogaya maine socha itni der tak nahin ayi tu lagta hai bhul hi gayi apne paper ke bare main..

Riddhima: Nahin bus Papa se baat kar rahi thi… unse Itna door rehna aachha nahin lagta na..

Muskkaaan: (Consoles her and puts a hand on her shoulder) Riddhima tu phir bhi apne Papa ko jab chahe phone kar sakti hain but main toh jab bhi call karti hoon voicemail par he jata hain.. ( n then she points at the stars)

Riddhima understands her pain and they both hug each other……

Muskaan: Chaddo yaar emotional kaar diya tune.. chal aab paper pe concetrate karte hain varna.... 3 ghante exam main kya karenge...😆

Next Day

Armaan is sleeping late as usual .

His phone rings….and sleepy head he picks up the phone

Armaan: Hi Jaanu ….

Maan: Oye Raam lila ke Kishan… Maan bol raha hoonn aaj Internship ka pehla din hai… late nahin hona mujhe.. isiliye tujhe call kiya uthane ke liye..

Armaan: HA thik hai thik hai… waise bhi main utha huva hi tha( Maan to himslef: jhootha) ek ghante main tujhe pick up kar ke phir Sanjeevani jayenge..Ok chal aab goodnight

Maann:.:.arrree par ( Armaan hangs up…) yeh kumbkaran……..

They get ready dressed to kill as it is their first day at Sanjeevani…

Armaan comes outsides Maans' house and Maan and Armaan go to Sanjeevani…..

Scene II ends…

PRECAP:

Maan and Armaan reach Sanjeevani two hours early and Armaan scolds Maan for waking him early. They are asked to report at the Nurse station where two Interns are already waiting.
