Right! I know u all hate me, I know I'm beyond late, but hey!!! Errr, ok, I don't know what to say in my defence. AND WILL SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO CHANGE THE NAME OF MY TOPIC??????????? And I'm in a real hurry, so no time for smilies or magenta texting or anything !! :(

And guess what? I actually had a PraSha dream!!!! A real one. I didn't really understand it, like I usually do in dreams, but I remember that Prats was wearing a golden-ish sari, and I don't remember what Shanky was wearing, but they seemed to be saying goodbye and they hugged!!!

OMG, what's wrong with me?

Ok, so now let's get to the point:

One day Prateeksha Das was going to meet her sister Araina and her friends. She was feeling good. She had had a good day at hospital, talked to her brothers and found out that they were having a good time, had a good meal, and was feeling at peace with the world! (Let's face it, we all feel like that after a good meal)
ANYWAY, Araina had told her to meet her at her favourite shopping mall. According to Araina, Prats needed to 'chill' a little and a girls' day out of shopping was the best option available. She turned the corner and saw Araina there with her college friend Suhaani Rai. Prateeksha's good mood was increased seeing Suhaani, who was the type of girl you could instantly like, because of her friendly nature and sweetness. Araina, on the other hand was more boisterous and dominating, but good at heart.
Araina was talking on her oh-so-expensive Sony Ericsson, apparently irritated: "Acha yaar, theek hai, lekin agar tum 20 minute ke andar andar yahan nahi pohnchi, to mein tumhe zinda nahi chorroo gi", and ended her call. She spotted Prateeksha and said, with a sigh of relief "Thank God, ke aap to aa gayi, Di." She shook her head in exasperation and said, "Ishita pata nahi kahan kho gayi hai ke abhi tak nahi pohnchi. Woh hume mall ke andar hi milegi, to uska wait karne ka koi faida nahi."
Prateeksha smiled at her sister's anger and said, "Ishita? Tumhari wahi dost jo party pe aayi thi aur khane ke waqt apna mobile juice mein gira diya?" (We will assume that Prats doesn't know Ishita and her family very well.)
"Haan haan, wahi" said Araina, shaking her head at her sister's description of her friend. "Woh kuch din pehle hi Germany se aayi hai, aur humne socha ke catching-up ke liye yahi shopping trip acha rahe ga. Lekin abhi woh bewakoof-"
"Oho, koi baat nahi. Suhaani to hai na humare saath," said Prats, affectionately giving Suhaani's shoulders a squeeze. "Kya haal hai, Suhaani? Bohat dino baad mile hain."
"I'm fine, Prats Di" (lol) said Suhaani. "Bus socha ke main bhi shopping spree pe aap logon ko join karoon. Mere closet ko summer makeover ki sakht zaroorat, aur-"
"Oye, ziada jhoot na bolo," said Araina, as they entered the mall. "Tumhare ghar to mein do din pehle hi aayi thi aur tumhare closet men to ek shirt ke liye bhi jaga nahi thi."
Suhaani gave her a push and said "Oh, Araina, tum to chup hi raho to behtar hai. Seriously, tumhe kuch yaad nahi ke tumhare is barre mu ki waja se tum kitni baar college mein musibat mein pari ho?"
The three girls continued chatting lightly this way, when Prateeksha had an instant flash of realisation that she had left her mobile in her car. (yes, Prateeksha has a car. Seriously, what did you expect? She's 24 and a doctor and her parents were quite well-off....) Saying that she'll be right back, Prats walked out and towards the parking lot.
She was nearly there when she heard someone running and shouting. She nearly bumped into a girl who was running in the opposite directiom, and looking behind and shouting at the same time. However, she DID bump into the person who was running behind the girl. REALLY hard (HAHAHA). So hard that both of them fell down, and she didnt even see who it was. Prats fell down, but caught her self on her hands, and the other person fell down on the other side.
She had hit her head really hard, and was rubbing her head. She could just understand what the other person was saying. She figured out that it was a guy speaking, and he was apologizing really fast: "Oh, I'm so so sorry! Mein ne to aap ko dekha hi nahi. Woh meri buddhu behan itne zor se chilla rahi thi ke aur kuch samajh hi nahi aaya. Mein to car se nikalna hi nahi chahta tha, lekin woh kya hai ke woh apne doston ke liye gifts layi hai, aur unko yahan nikalna apparently bohat important hai. Choti behane bhi to koi kam irritate nahi karti.... I am REALLY sorry ke itni zor se takkar hui. Khair no harm done I believe, aur -"
By this time, his sister (apparently) had gotten back to the scene of the takkar. She looked vaguely familiar to Prateeksha, but she was still dazed and could not think properly. She started dant-ing her brother for being so careless, and helped Prats to get up. Suddenly, she stopped what she was sayng and turned her attention to Prateeksha, saying: "Oh my God! Prats Di? Kya yeh waqiye aap hain? So good to see you again. Mein yaad hoon? Mein, Ishita Malhotra, Araina ki dost."
Of course, Prateeksha did remember her,and turned to hug her with a smile. "Haan, Ishita!! Of course. Hum abhi tumhara hi intezaar mall mein kar rahe the. Araina ne bataya ke tum abhi abhi Germany se wapas aayi ho?"
"Exactly," said Ishita and turned around to see her stuff sprawled across the sidewalk. "Aur yeh sub saman aap logon ki liye liya tha..... Jo iss idiot ne gira diya!! Tum dekh ke nahi chal sakte?"
This last sentence was addressed to her brother who was standing there all this while. He opened his mouth to protest, but Ishita had already turned back to Prateeksha: "Prats Di, yeh mera bhai hai-"
Before she could go on, Prateeksha was looking at him carefully and said "Shashank?"
Ishita was surprised, "Yeah. Aap ko kaise pata?" However Prats wasn't listening to her. Shashank's eyebrows shot up in surprise when she recognised him, because he obviously hadn't. "Shashank? Is that really you?" said Prateeksha, her good mood increasing A LOT more.
Shashank gave a confused grin and said, "Haan haan. Mein hi hoon. The great Shashank Malhotra. Mujhe nahi lagta ke men aap se kabhi mila hoon, lekin men ladkiyon mein kaafi popular hoon. Agar era autograph chahiye ho to woh to mein de sakta hoon, lekin I'm sorry 2 weeks tak mere evenings booked hain, aur mein tumhe coffee ke liya nahi le ja sakta...."
Ishita shook her head in exasperaton and said, "Mein isko nahi jaanti."
Prats was disappointed that he hadn't recognised her.Had she really changed so much? She wondered what to say, but Ishita saved her there "Arre idiot! yeh tumhari koi fan nahi hai ke tum se autograph lene aai ha. Yeh Prateeksha hai, Araina Das ki barri behan. Araina ko to kam as kam jante ho ge, right? This is her older sister!"
Comprehension flickered on Shashank's face and he got excited, "Arre haan! Prateeksha Das! Woh college wali?! Telu Raam!!! How good to see you yaar!"
Prateeksha smiled widely as he pulled her into a hug. (Hey, it's ok to hug your old friends right? Even if they are of the opposite gender...) However. her moment was cut short with Ishita saying: "Ok, ok, i get it. You two missed each other, blah blah bah, lekin catching-up baad mein bhi ho sakti hai. Iss liye to hum yahan aaye hain. Shashank, mujhe pata hai ke tumhe ladkyon ke saath shopping karna acha nahi lagta, to tum apni girlfriend ke saath baad mein baat kar sakteho, aur Pra-"
Shashank pushed Ishita, "Oye!! Yeh meri girlfriend nahi hai!! Ishita, for God's sake, kabhi to apni zaban pe control rakha karo. Prateeksha meri college ki dost hai, please try to remember that!"
"I'm so sorry Bhaiya jan!" said Ishita, faking innocence and making a baby face. "Mujh se ghalti hui, mujhe please maaf karo." With that, she hurriedly bent down and started picking up her shopping bags, which had the gifts in them, and said, "Chalo chalo, ab zara help karo na meri. Pehle ladkiyon ko girate ho, aur phir meri cheezein girate ho, aur phir uthate bhi nahi ho. Kaisa ladka ho?"
Shashank pulled her nose and sad, "Ek NORMAL ladka." 😛
Of course, Prateeksha remembered why she had come out in the first place. Her mobile (which was, by the way, a not-very-expensive Nokia N73). So she went to her car, opened it and started looking for her phone. She saw that it had dropped on the floor, and picked it up. Seeing the time, she realised that Araina would kill her if she didn't go back QUICK, and went to the mall.
At the entrance, Araina, Suhaan, Ishita, and surprisingly, Shashank as well, were all waiting for her. Araina was arguing good-naturedly with Ishita, and Suhaani pulled both of them into a group hug. Shashank waved at her, she waved back, unable to repress a warm smile. Prats walked up to the small group and said, "Poore ho gaye hai hum sab?"
Araina replied, "Yes, thank God! Shopping spree shuru karein?"
"Abhi nahi!" said Ishita. "Pehle apne gifts dekho!"
"Uffo Ishita!" said Suhaani. "What's this for? Tum apne har vacation se humare liye cheezen kyun laati ho? It's embarassing yaar!"
"Exactly," said Araina, joining in. "Phir jab hhum vacaton pe jaate hain to hum guilty feel karte hain. Humein lagta hai ke we should also get stuff for you!"
"Dekho Ishita," whispered Shashank. "Mein ne kaha tha ke itne expensive gifts lene ki koi zaroorat nahi jo woh accept hi nahi kareingi."
"Idiots," sighed Ishita, ignoring her brother. "Mere liye koi gifts nahi lai ga, understand? And its my choice ke mein apne best friends ke liye kuch laaon ya nahi. Ab nakhre band."
Araina groaned as Ishita gave her a bag and told her to see what's inside."Mein ghar men dekh loon gi, ok?"
"Yeah same here!" said Suhaani.
"NO NO NO!" said Ishita. "Abhi dekho, warna khair nah hai tum dono ki. Prats Di, aap to kam as kam apna dekhein na."
Prateeksha was surprised for a moment, as she had met Ishita only twice before and didn't expect anything as a gift for no reason from her. She accepted the gift Ishita took out of Araina's gift bag with a warm thanks. It looked small, but she didn't mind. It opened to reveal an oh-so-expensive iPhone. Prateeksha's mouth dropped open. She turned to Ishita, "I can't accept this. Pata nahi kitna mehenga liya hoga-"
"Issi liye to aap ko accept karna hi hoga," said Ishita. Her face turned said as she said, "Lekin agar aap ko acha nah laga to mein kuch kar loo gi. pata nahi is ko waps kahan aur kaise karoon, lekin chalo, I'll try to do something-"
"Hmph, drama-queen," said Shashank under his breathe. Ishita glared at him.
"Arre nahi Ishita," said Prateeksha hurriedly, afraid that she had hurt her feelings. "I love it. Mujhe to bohat acha laga, leking mein to sirf yeh keh rah thi ke thora ziada hai..... Mera matlab mein to tumhe ache se janti bhi nahi hoon aur-"
"Oh please!" said Ishita, her sad expression gone in an instant. "Just take it, and use it PLEASE!!"
"Lekin mein phir bhi apna gift yahan nahi dekhoon gi," said Araina pouting. "Agar tum ne Di ko ek IPHONE diya, to pata nahi mujhe kya diya hoga."
"Oh whatever," said Ishita. "Bas tum ne accept to kar liya. That was my mission! Have fun with it! Same goes to you Suhaani."

"Ok ok ok." said Araina. "Now lets start this trip for god's sake!"

As they started walking Prateeksha asked Shashank, tryng her best to sound casual,"Tum bhi kya sopping karne aa rahe ho?"

"Nahi nah," said Shashank carelessly. "Socha tum se zara gup lagaoon. Catching-up and all that." Prats smled at this. The other three girls nudged each other secretly.......

btw: when u mentioned in () that its okay for friends to hug after meeting after along time, even if they are the opp gender ... i was like aww. because in the U. S esp cali ( and other places too ofcourse) it happens soo often that no one thinks about it, not only friends but everyone... aunty's hugs other auntys husbands' gf/ bff u name it .... there is wayy to much pda here.. lolz. hehee thats hollywood.😆
