Hiya awesome readers!! 😃 Here's another chappie for you. Sorry if it wasn't up to your expectations (I'm still kinda new to this FF thing. But I guess that's no excuse since even vista is new to writing PraSha FFs and her one is really awesome and - )
AHEM!!! What I mean to say is that I worked hard on this chappie and hope you like it. Its a bit long to make up for the delay, so I REALLY hope u like it! Proceed:
*drum roll*

Chapter 2

Hate luv storys? Not really 😉

It had almost been an hour in the shopping mall, and all of the girls were having a great time, while Shashank was mostly subjected to holding the shopping bags. Not all of them of course..... but most of them.
He and Prateeksha had had a lot of gup-shup while touring the enormous mall and among the chitter chatter of the other three. By now, all three of them were convinced (due to no specific reason, note) that those two liked each other. LIKE liked each other. (Hey! They're girls! We do that all the time right? ....You don't? Hmph. Well I most certainly do 😛.) Everyone enjoyed a lot while one of them tried on a dress or pair of clothes and made comments. For example. Prats tried on bright pink shalwar kameez suit and comments were passed:
"Oh PLEASE Di, you just have to buy this! Kitna cute lag raha hai ap par!" (Araina)
"Exactly, you should totally go for it." (Ishita)
Then when Araina tried on a black dress, everyone was generous with advice:
"Nahi Araina, yaad nahi ke Ria had the exact same dress as this one! Log kya kahein ge?" (Ishita)
"Forget Ria yaar. It looks great." (Suhaani, while admiring the dress)
"Nahi, mujhe acha nahi laga, tumhare paas issi style mein do aur dresses bhi hai." (Prats)

"Tum ladkiyon ne to mera dimagh kharab kar diya hai. Pata nahi yeh itne saare dresses tum logon ke budget mein kaise poore aatein hain. Bas ek dress khareed ke baat khatam karo na yaar!" (Shashank of course)

No one took the slightest notice of this last remark, and Araina swiftly turned to the next clothes rack.

ANYWAY, Prateeksha got exhausted by the time she was holding 6 shopping bags in each hand (most of them were Araina's though.)

"Tum loge apna shopping karo, mein to thak gayi hoon," said Prats. "I'll just have some coffee. Adha ghanta baad mujhe yahan se pick karo."

Araina made a face, "Uffo, Di!" she said dramatically. "Abhi adha mall rehta hai aur aap thak bhi gayi hain. Chalo then, see you later."

Ishita pulled Shashank's arm, as he wasn't moving but staring at *cough* empty space, saying, "C'mon na Shanshank, let's not waste time."

Shashank snapped out of his trance and said in an exaggeratingly irritated voice, "Bus na yaar. Mein tum logon ki choosing aur changing aur commenting se tang aagaya hoon. Nahi nahi, I'll just

stay here in peace with Prateeksha. Kam az kam ye to tum teenon jitna bolti nahi hai..."

Ishita winked at Araina as soon as Shashank's back as turned, and said in a hurried voice, "Yeah ok fine. Let's go you two."
*Awkward silence*
"So, um, mein coffee lati hoon." said Prats, mainly to break the silence. She put all the bags on a nearby bench, and turned to Shashank. "Coffee ya Cappucino?"
"Nahi nahi Prateeksha, tum betho, MEIN lata hoon," said Shashank, ushering her to sit down. "TUM batao, coffee, cappucino?"
Prateeksha smiled shyly, "Mere liye coffee."
Shashank nodded and went to the cafe type place nearby, unaware of anything. Which was probably good since the pillar that was right in front of Prateeksha's bench was where there were a lot of plants (yeah, I know, INSIDE the mall). And that, my dear readers, was exactly where Araina and her 2 friends were hidden. With the intention to spy on the other two. They were whispering:
Suhaani: PLEASE Araina, hume jaana chahiye. Shayad woh humein dekh le-
Araina: Please Sumo! Kuch nahi hoga, trust me.

Suhaani: Lekin -
Ishita: Lekin wekin kuch nahi. Just stay here, or go ahead.
And of course, Sumo didn't go because Prateeksha was right in front of them, and would surely notice. The girls had just had time to scramble behind the plants when Shashank's back was turned. (By the way, most things in this section will be from I-A-S POV)
After a few seconds (33 seconds), Ishita whispered: Yeh mera stupid bhai kahan gum gaya? Koi tameez hi nahi hai aaj kal ke ladko mein. Yahan uski girlfriend uska intezaar kar rahi hai, aur woh ek cup coffee nahi la sakta. Yeh -
"Coffee's here!" Came Shashank's voice, and Ishita shut up-ed hastily.
"Yeh lo tumhari coffee, aur yeh meri." Shashank gave Prats her drink and sat down. Not beside her. The huge amount of shopping bags were between them.
(Behind the bushes)
Araina: Yaar yeh kaise seating arrangement hai! Darmiyaan mein to saare bags hain.
Ishita: Shayed iss liye Shashank tumhe ziada shopping karne se mana kar raha tha, duffer!
Suhaani sighed at her friends brainless-ness.
They could hardly hear what the other two were saying. Heck, they couldn't even SEE them properly, so Araina peeped through the leaves on the bushes in front of her, and saw that Shashank was saying something, and Prats was nodding. After some time, Shashank's voice got a tiny bit louder, and the three could figure out what he was saying:
"Haan haan, meri abhi bhi Raj ke saath kafi gup hai-"
Suhaani: Who's Raj?
Ishita: His friend. Ab Sssshhhh!
Shashank: Us se yaad aya! Uska kya hua, woh kya tha uska naam? Haan, woh Sanjay!
Prateeksha was confused. "Kya matlab uska kya hua?"
Shashank: Woh tumhara boyfriend tha! Kya matlab tumhe pata nahi? Abhi bhi uske saath ho?
(Aye haye! Shanky trying to find out Prats's relationship status.)
Araina: Oh my God! Di ka ek boyfriend hai aur us ne mujhe bataya tak nahi! What -
S+I: Sssshhhh!
Prateeksha blushed. "Tumhe aisa kyun laga ke woh mera boyfriend hai? Ya kabhi tha?"
Now Shashank was confused. "Kyun, woh nahi hai?"
Prats: Nahi toh
Shashank: Lekin mujhe to laga ke
Prats: "Ghalat laga hoga. As usual." Shashank gave her a friendly punch at that.
Araina: Thank God! I thought ke-"
Prateeksha: TUMHARI girlfriend kaisi hai?
Shashank yawned lazily, "Kaunsi wali?"
"Wahi, jo tum keh rahe the..."
Shashank: Mein ne kab kaha?
Prats: Jab hum road pe mile, aur tum ne kaha ke tum agli do hafton ke liye book ho...
Shashank laughed. "Arre yaar! Woh to mein hamesha ladkiyon ko kehta hoon. Mein ladkyon mein bohat popular hoon, you know."

Ishita (mumbling to herself): Haan haan. Tum jaise bohat Raj Kapoor ho na.

Prateeksha smiled at Shashank's reply, but didn't think this was much of an answer. She decided to change the subject.

"To batao, tum aaj kal kya kar rahe ho?" she asked.

"Mein to abhi Dad ke businness main hoon. Unke hi company mein hoon. Tumhara kya job hai? College mein to tum singer banna chahti thi, lekin -"

Prateeksha shoved him, "Shashank please!! Mein ne woh ek din mazak mein keh diya, aur tum ne abhi tak mujhe zinda nahi chorra. For your information, I'm a doctor now. In fact mein to abhi psychiatry bhi parrh raho hoon, take ek psychiatrist ban sakoon, jis ka kaam hota hai tum jaise pagalon ka ilaaj karna."

Shashank stuck out his tongue, and retorted, "Mujhe pata hai ek psychiatrist kya hota hai, thank you very much." Both of them laughed, (and spilt some coffee, no doubt) when Prateeksha got a message from Araina. It said , "Di, meet by ur car. w8ing"

Actually, Araina and Suhaani were by the car, Ishita was still behind the plants. She has said that she'll be back after the other two.

As it was, Prateeksha gulped down the rest of her coffee hurriedly and got up quickly. Too quickly. Remember when I said that she dropped a bit of coffee when she was laughing? You don't? READ THE CHAPTER AGAIN CAREFULLY!!! Anyway, Prateeksha slipped on the coffee, and Shashank, with the lightning speed of Edward Cullen, caught her with one hand just around the waist, and the other on her shoulders.

All I can say is: How convenient. 😆😉

Behind the bushes, Ishita was texting to Araina when she peeped through the bushes and saw Shashank literally leaning over Prats, her mouth fell open, and her hand flew to her mouth. She had no idea that Prats had actually slipped you see, so she was shocked and happy at the same time.
Shashank and Prateeksha were getting lost in each other's eyes at the moment. Shashank seemed to have forgotten that he should let go now, and Prats had forgotten everything for those few moments when she was gazing into Shashank's light brown eyes. As it was, their moment was rudely interrupted by Prateeksha's phone ringing. The call was from Araina who was pissed off at having no reply from either Prats or Ishita (Ishita was busy gawking, remember? so she couldnt text araina), and so she had called.
PraSha snapped back to reality with the ring of Prateeksha's phone. Shashank hastily straightened her and let go, and said "Lagi to nahi?"

Prateeksha blushed slightly and said, "Nahi, mein theek hoon," and quickly answered her phone:

Araina: DI!!!! Aap kahan hain? Come quickly please! Mein ne ghar jana hai!"

Prats: Oho, sorry yaar. Mein bas arahi hoon. Itne ghusse mein kyun ho?
Araina: Na hi aap reply kar rahi hai , or na hi I- (Araina cut off quickly as she realised that Ishita was supposed to be with her, not Prats). Mera matlab, aap na hi reply kar rahi hain, and you're taking too much time. Please Di, jaldi karein.

Prats: Theek hai, I'm just coming.

Prateeksha ended the call and looked at Shashank, not meeting his gaze, as she was still embarassed. "Shall we go?" He asked her, looking at her phone.

"Haan haan, chalo" was the mumbled reply.

The went towards the main entrance, and Ishita finally got out from behind the bushes. She stood there and said to herself, "Oh. My. God! Bro's in love!!!"

(HAHAHAHAHA)

"I have to tell Araina," she said and sped off towards the other end of the mall. She knew this mall well enough to know that there was a short cut to the parking lot.

Sorry I replyed late....Still recovering( trying to control my laughter 😆) from the news that Vivan might be doing a new BTvampire show........

Anyway....Great chapter Anushka👏......I really liked the PraSha scene and how the girls were spying on them😊.....The slip and catch reminded of PKB😃......Looking forward to next chapter.....The girls will drive PraSha crazy😆.......

👏👏👏Great chapter Anushka and I love your style of including comments and asides...makes the mental picture of the story that much more vivid.....👍🏼. Prateeksha's fall brought back so many memories😉😉😉

Great chapter ! prasha..is. too cute (always). I liked how shashank catches prats when she slips at the coffee shop.. it reminded me of the scene in pkb when prats got hurt and shanky catches her.-have watched that scene soo many times.. ( lovved it); oh and im glad they both got their questions about ex boyfriends /girlfriends cleared up . all this talk ( writing actually) about the coffee shop makes me want to get some starbucks or barista😛
