Part 5

*flashback continued from last part*

Wardboys came and wheeled Nikki out of the room and into the OT, leaving Abhi sitting there, his sight fixed on Nikki as her stretcher traveled out. A while later, he got up, and started walking as though he was in a daze. He walked to the Scrub Room, where Dr. Shashank was getting ready. He noticed Abhi staring from the window into the OT, where Nikki was. Then he spoke. "I'm scared too, Abhimanyu…Scared for Nikita, but also scared that I'll break my promise to her father."

Abhi turned to him, puzzled. Shashank saw his confused gaze and explained, "Nikki's father, Aditya, was my friend from high school. Anjali, Nikki, and Ridhimma grew up together, but there was a lot of competition between Ridhimma and Nikita. Perhaps you don't know…Armaan and Nikita are siblings…twins." He paused seeing Abhi's perplexed face and chuckled. "Yes…Their parents put them in a hostel and practically forgot them, then Aditya and Purvi Malhotra came and adopted Nikki, and Billy and Anaya Mallik adopted Armaan. They went to high school together, but after that Aditya moved his family to France. Nikki missed Armaan so much, that she came here to look for him, and found him at Sanjeevani, so she joined here too. Then she saw that he had fallen in love with Ridhimma, and she was very unhappy as she felt that she had lost him to Riddhu…"

Abhi realized that this is why he had found her crying in the locker room after the Save Sanjeevani Dance. Shashank continued, "But slowly she and Riddhu became friends, and Nikki realized that Armaan and Ridhimma were meant for each other. Then, you came in the picture… And at that time, I realized that you and Nikki were made for each other as well."

"One day, three years ago, Aditya called me and told me that he and Purvi were in some kind of danger. He made me promise that I would not let any harm befall Nikki, no matter what…I would always be there for her. A couple days later, news came that Aditya and Purvi had been murdered by the shareowners who had wanted their share of his business's money. Nikki got so shaken by that event that she got her own house and went to live by herself instead of staying with Armaan or me. And now," he finished, "I broke my promise. I let something happen to her."

Abhi stood in silence, absorbing all the details, when a wardboy came and informed them that the patient and OT were both ready.

I loved the update, though. Armaan and Nikki siblings??? :O You shocked the living hell out of me, girl...I can't believe it.

Looks like the Abhi-lookalike's leaving affected you pretty badly, hun :P 😆

Anyway, jokes apart, I'll be waiting for the next update eagerly, but I'll be waiting with even more anticipation to hear the news that your condition has improved. Get well soon, sweetie...God bless. 🤗

I miss you. And I'm sure Abhi misses you too...you get well soon, and tell me about it by yourself, and I promise you a scene especially for you...with liberal doses of Abhi at his very best.
