Part 2
The day of engagement had arrived'the couple had exchanged the rings and the party was going great. Armaan's eyes were fixed on Riddhima since she had arrived. He didn't know why but he was having completely new feelings'he felt his heart skip a beat when she hugged him to congratulate tonight, and then he again felt jealous when he saw Rahul and Riddhima talking. He was now looking for her'she had disappeared after the ring exchange ceremony. He excused himself from his fianc and the guests and went to look for her. He searched her everywhere in the house, but she was nowhere to be seen. He even asked Rahul, as she was with him most of the time but he also didn't know. As he was passing by the kitchen, he saw her in the back yard sitting on the swing, and playing with rose petals. She seemed to be lost in her own world.
"Basket!!!!!" he screamed in her ear.
"Armaan!! You scared me!!" she punched his arm" "And what are you doing here? You should be inside" she said as a matter of fact.
"I was getting bored without you'" he said making a funny face.
"You should get used to it'now that you're getting married, I won't be with you all the time na" she continued playing with the rose petals.
"And who said that?" he narrowed his eyes.
"Ugh'why are guys so immature?" she rolled her eyes.
"Excuse me?"
"Nothing'well once you get married, you spend most of the time with your partner, as they become one of the most important person in your life'you have to take care of them, make sure they are happy'make them feel special'love them'" she was interrupted by him.
"Woo'break time'I'm lost?" he said perplexedly and she smiled looking at his innocent face.
"You'll understand everything once you get married" she pinched his nose "And fall in love" she added looking away.
"Basket how do you know all this? As long as I know'you are not married? Unless you had a secret marriage" he laughed hysterically.
"I just know it'coz I know what love is" she looked at him staring at her, and realized what she had just said.
"Have you ever fallen in love?" he asked in a serious tone.
"Umm'Armaan agar mujhe pyaar hota na toh main sabse pehle tumhe batati'you are my best friend remember?" she lied'well she had to. She felt like killing herself for lying to him.
"Yea I know'ab chalein? I'm hungry!" both went inside. And one person had witnessed this scene.

The wedding was in a month. Armaan got busy with shopping and stuff. Actually he was forced to go to the shopping'Juhi would always drag him to the mall. And many times he was told to take Aahana to the shopping. Riddhima had missed the shopping session...she was busy with her studies as her exams were coming up. And she had found a reason to stay away from Armaan'she was trying to get used to it. Yes, it was really hard staying away from him, not talking to him, but whatever was happening'was good for her.
Armaan surely missed Riddhima'actually a lot, but he couldn't meet her, as his mom had strictly warned him not to bother her or go to her place until she is done with her exams'coz Armaan had this habit of not letting her study in peace during her exams and in general too.
Two weeks before the wedding'Armaan and Aahana had gone to the mall, and they bumped into Riddhima, Muskaan and Anjali.
"Omg Basket? I missed you!!" he hugged her tightly'Riddhima felt uncomfortable coz Aahana was watching them.
"Hi Armaan'Oh look Muski is back!" she said coming out of the hug.
"Armaaaaaaaaaaaan Congrats!!!" Muskaan hugged him.
"You missed my engagement Madam" Armaan acted disappointed "But I missed you!!!" he pulled her cheeks "Ok meet my fianc'Aahana" Armaan said putting his arm around Aahana's shoulder.
Seeing that Riddhima looked away'Anjali squeezed her hand, as she knew what she was going through. Riddhima had only told Anjali and Muskaan about how much she loves Armaan. Coz, they had seen her crying'and asked her what was the matter. So she had to tell them.
"So basket'tumhare exams finish ho gaye?" Armaan asked.
"Yes finally'that's why I'm here in the mall today" she replied.
"How were your exams Riddhima?" Aahana asked.
"Pretty good'" Riddhima smiled. In Riddhima's opinion'Aahana was a really sweet girl and would keep Armaan happy.
They all shopped together'during the shopping Armaan kept on talking with Riddhima.
Seeing her after almost 3 weeks'he was telling her everything like how he was forced to go shopping, and how all those aunties were making him eat sweets and all that'basically he did most of the shopping by asking Riddhima's opinions and not Aahana's. Riddhima tried her best to get away from there but she stayed for Anjali and Muskaan as they still had to buy their dresses for the wedding and even she had to buy some matching jewelries for her dresses.
Aahana was looking at Armaan and Riddhima'she saw Armaan asking her about what kind of shoes should he buy and Riddhima would make cute funny faces on Armaan's choice. They looked cute together. Seeing them looking cute together, Aahana wondered if they liked each other and if they did then what was the relationship between her and Armaan? "Can this be love'between Armaan and Riddhima?" she thought.
The next few days they were busy decorating the whole house'the girls were decorating the house with roses and the boys took care of the lights and stuff.
"Ridzi'come check the drapes in the living room" Atul said and took her the living room'
"Perfect!!" Riddhima smiled looking around the room'those shiny navy blue drapes matched perfectly with the white room. And the lights were decorated perfectly as well.
"You guys really did work hard huh?" she said still looking around.
"Of course we did'actually we had to, it was the grooms demand" Atul chuckled "He wanted everything to be perfect'and make his dream come true of a perfect wedding, umm yeah he said something like that" Atul said scratching his head.
"Since when did he start dreaming about his wedding?" Riddhima laughed.
"Since the day I fell in love'" Armaan said coming from behind'
"Err'" Riddhima looked nervously at him and shocked at the same time hearing the word love from his mouth' "And since when did you fall in love?" Riddhima asked looking down, playing with her fingers.
"Since the day I realized that she is the one'" he looked at her. Riddhima felt ping of pain in her heart as she knew he was talking about Aahana'
"Ok guys let get back to work'we still have a lot to do and its almost night" Saying that Atul left with Riddhima.
"What was I talking about anyways?" Armaan thought confusedly walking away'

It was 2 am'everyone was tired and hungry. Some of them were sitting on the couches and some of them were on the floor.
"Rahul get me something to eat before I faint!!" Muskaan shouted.
"Do I look like a waiter?" Rahul rolled his eyes.
"I'm going home'" Riddhima said getting up from the couch.
"No you're not going home'sit down" Armaan said getting up and pushing Riddhima back on the couch "Ok I have an idea'let's go out and eat" he grinned.
"Yeah sure'the restaurants are specially left open for us to go eat there at 2 in the morning" Anjali rolled her eyes.
"We can try'at least one of them should be open" Armaan said "Ok so let's go? Get into the car" saying that he took the car keys from the side table. Seeing nobody getting up he sighed "Muski are you hungry or not? You don't wanna faint do you?" he held her hand and made her get up and then he saw Riddhima almost falling asleep so he made her get up.
"Armaaan you really are crazy'where are you dragging us at this hour?" Riddhima said in a sleepy tone.
"Atul get up'" ignoring Riddhima's question, he made Atul get up.
Getting out'feeling the cold wind, everybody was wide awake now. As they sat in the car Armaan turned on the heat along with music. He had called Aahana and had told her to be ready. So they went and picked her up.
"Armaan if you just wanted to go out with Aahana then why did you bring us? We were so sleepy" Atul said rubbing his eyes, while Aahana blushed.
"I just wanted her to come and that's it'" Armaan replied.
"Ooooo" they all said and laughed.
They went looking for an open restaurant to eat'along the way the girls had fun singing some of the songs and the guys were looking for the restaurants.
"Hey girls'wanna go to pizza hut?" Rahul asked.
"Sure'but are they open?" Riddhima asked as mostly pizza huts are close by 11pm.
"Yeah the one on the freeway is open 24 hours" Rahul informed.
So they went to the pizza hut'they ordered pizza along with soft drinks and chocolate dunkers. After about an hour, they left the place.
"Where are we going now?" Anjali asked.
"Umm home? Unless you wanna go to the club or something?" Armaan grinned.
"We are NOT going to the club" Riddhima narrowed her eyes, as Armaan looked her through the rear view mirror and smiled.
"Let's go to downtown city?" Muskaan said excitedly.
"Muskaan it's like 5 in the morning'and you wanna go to the downtown city?" Atul asked raising his eyebrows.
"Let's go to the beach? I wanna see sun rising" Riddhima said looking outside.
"Riddhima you seem exhausted'you should sleep instead of thinking of going to the beach in this freezing weather" Muskaan said rubbing her arms as she was feeling cold.
"We're going to the beach'after all I can't say no to my best friend" Armaan looked at her and winked, as they stopped at the signal. That didn't go unnoticed by Aahana.
Only Armaan and Riddhima got out of the car on the beach as others were feeling cold.
Riddhima had become quiet these days and Armaan had noticed that. Since they were alone after so long'he decided to ask her if everything was ok.
"Riddhima may I ask you something if you don't mind?" Armaan sounded serious and she knew it. Coz he only calls her Riddhima when he gets serious about something.
"Since when did you start asking for my permission?" she said looking at the waves. He made her face him.
"Riddhima from past few days'in fact weeks, I have noticed that you have become very quiet'and you seem to be lost in your own world. You act differently, and your smile has just vanished, I don't like seeing those fake smiles that you put on your face everyday'you don't talk to me openly like you used to, and you are just not that bubbly girl anymore'" she looked at his worried face and tried hard to hide her tears' "Did I do something that had hurt you? Did I say something wrong? Riddhima just tell me what's wrong" she was shocked about the fact that he was thinking that he had done something wrong with her...
"Armaan you didn't do anything wrong'so stop thinking that way" she said looking down.
"Then what is it that's bothering you so much? I can't see you like this" he cupped her face.
"Armaan I'm'I'm fine" she couldn't control her tears anymore and broke down. He simply hugged her'still not knowing the reason of changed Riddhima.
Calming down'she came out of the hug and he wiped her tears.
"Armaan I'm fine'was just stressed out about the exams and stuff, and I'm missing my parents very much" she took deep breaths to calm down.
"So now you've started hiding stuff from me? It's ok, just remember that I'm there for you and will always be" he hugged her again'he knew that there was something else too, that was bothering her but he didn't force her to say it "Hope things get better for you" he smiled and kissed her forehead, making her heart skip a beat. For the first time he felt strange hugging her'he felt like he never want to let her go, and he had a new feeling again like never before.
As much as she tried getting away from him, he came closer to her. She knew that he was worried about her being sad and all, but then she thought everything will change once he get married. Armaan had started thinking about Riddhima more these days and was trying to figure out the new feelings that he was having whenever he went near her.
