Migration - The Introduction - Part 1

Around hundred decades ago, there was a city titled as Aryanagar. Aryanagar was situated in the northern boundary of India right next to a city called Niphaud and Godhwar. Niphaud and Godhwar were drowned in happiness, harmony and honesty yet Aryanagar was filled with dishonesty, adamant work and affliction. It was then, when two brave Rajkumars came into the role of stopping all the dishonesty and wiping out the affliction.

There were two types of societies in Aryanagar. One were baptised as Aryavartas and the others Shramiks. The Aryavartas were lead a comforting and luxurious life with many slaves and maids in their waiting while the Shramiks worked non-stop and lead a very painful and tiring life with no one to put an end to their sorrows. The Aryavartas mainly lived in a boundary near the coast where there were many mansions and manors. Among the mansions and manors was a kingdom where the King himself lived and the fate of the city lay in his and the prime ministers hands.

The King was called Maharaj Aryawardhan who lived in the palace with his sister, Nivitiri, a widow whose only survival is her brother Aryawardhan and son, Veer, and his other brother, Jaiwardhan, a cruel and parsimonious man who treated Shramiks very severely and only relies his trust in his son, Agni. Agni was no different than his father but often got carried away by tears of women whom he developed interest. Maharaj Aryawardhan had a son of his own, a capable and affectionate Rajkumar titled as Dharam.

Now the brotherhood...

Dharam and Veer were two Rajkumars both very different but yet followed the same rule, be affectionate to the people of your world..
Yet, Dharam and Veer were cousins, they treated each other as brothers and were the shield of each other. If one suffered from pain the other would naturally feel it's pain and would be the shield towards him. That is how they carried out missions until..the met..Sia and Ananya..the biggest challenge of their lives was to win their hearts..

Aryanagar - The Palace - Veer's Bedroom

Dharam grasped off the bed cover from Veer's reach. It was a bright sunny day and the birds chirruped out side the beautiful garden of the palace. The sun shone brightly making the day even brighter. Dharam had been used to Veer's "late get up" routine but today was a special day..for him..and even Veer knew it himself but laziness always took him over. Veer had a messy way of sleeping, taking the entire bed and spreading himself out so that his organs got as much maximum space as possible. Veer neglected doing Surya Namaskar and many other duties towards his responsibilities. Dharam and Nivitiri often wondered what would happen when he would get married to a princess but Veer never bothered laying his head on such a "ridiculous" topic, as he called it.

"Veer! Get up now! It's already late and you are still sleeping.." Dharam had said this for the umpteenth time but Veer had yet not been listening.

"What is it, Dharam, that you are waking me up at midnight?" Veer yawned his eyes still shut and a mischievous smile set across his lips.

"Midnight? My brother, Veer, it's nearly the midday! And we haven't yet even left for Niphaud and Godhwar!" Dharam complained, a line of tension spread across his forehead.

"Why do we need to leave for Niphaud and Godhwar?" Veer objected rolling over to the other side of the bed and reaching for the glass of water.

"Veer, have you lost your senses? Rajkumari Sia and Rajkumari Ananya are desperately waiting for us to come and see them and you are here, asking me why we need to leave for Niphaud and Godhwar?" Dharam exclaimed angrily walking over to him.

"Oh, I forgot..Ananya's going to be fuming if I go to her now..so it's better we call the whole thing off," smiled Veer pushing his legs under the bed sheets again.

Dharam was outraged. How could Veer think he would abandon Sia just because of his laziness? Veer was simply careless and he couldn't care less if Ananya was waiting, all he wanted to do was sleep and sleep..

"Veer! I am not going to do that, and we both know it! You may abandon Rajkumari Ananya but I certainly cannot abandon Rajkumari Sia!" Dharam scolded pulling the covers off him again and this time throwing it on the floor. "Get up now, Veer!"

"Just a second, Dharam, let me just finish this stretch and.." Veer was cut short as Dharam pulled him off the bed.

Veer landed on his toes and stretched as he smugly walked towards the changing room, yawning with eyes barely open. Dharam shook his head in pity and sighed. How will you manage, Veer, you are so innocent and sooner or later you will have to accept the throne of Aryanagar along with me..thought Dharam as the tension came back.

Niphaud - The Palace - Garden

"Sia, Sia, Sia! I am so sorry!" cried Dharam as he climbed off his horse, running towards Sia who was sitting angrily on the swing with angry tears shining brightly in her luminous black eyes.

Sia was the princess and the only daughter of the King of Niphaud. She was pampered with love and her wishes were immediately commanded. Sia was spoilt but yet considerate towards everyone. She was a ravishing and tantalising princess who could drive anyone mad behind her..

"Dharam! How dare you!" cried Sia standing up from her swing and holding Dharam by the collar.

Both Veer and Dharam were astonished and perplexed as the princess of Niphaud stood there angrily holding Dharam's collar and twisting it so hard that even the cloth itself would fall apart.

"How dare you walk in this late and apologize!" Sia snapped loosening her grip and pushing him away. Dharam knew, it would be hard to melt Sia's angry heart into a sweet and considerate one and so he had picked up an anklet on the way to Niphaud to impress Sia..

"My dearest Sia, I am very sorry to walk in this late but, I was just so confused on what to gift my Sia," Dharam began sighing and looking apologetic. "I just happen to pick up this anklet after seeing so many.."

Sia smiled at the anklet and finally felt sorry that she had grabbed his collar and misbehaved with him so badly. She immediately hugged him tight as tears of guiltiness streamed down her fair milky cheeks.

"Oh Dharam! I am so sorry..I didn't know.." Sia cried in his shoulder wetting his sleeve with her crocodile tears. Dharam smiled in her hair and stroked her silky black strands. Veer stood behind watching the two lovers finally unite. He was on the verge of laughing when suddenly he remembered that he was already late for Godhwar and he knew that Sia's compensation of a sorry would last more than a day..

"Dharam! I must be off to Godhwar before we all hear Ananya's screams till here.." Veer predicted retracing his steps to the gates of Niphaud's palace.

"Veer, wait, I'll come with you too..Sia.." Dharam began but Veer stopped him as he didn't want to separate the two lovers..

"No, you continue Dharam..I understand your "consequences"," Veer sneered running for the door before Dharam chased him till he was exhausted.

Godhwar - The Palace - Archery Arena

"Rajkumari Ananya, someone's here to meet you.." a Dasi suddenly whispered as the beautiful princess stood with half of her under face veiled and a black turban which hid her hair.

"Whoever it is, tell them to return from wherever they came from, otherwise today, Ananya's temper is quite lost!" warned Ananya holding the bow and arrow and aiming.

"Oh really..well then, I should return back to Aryanagar then shouldn't I?" Veer suddenly spoke up entering the arena. The voice was familiar..too..familiar..

Ananya turned to see Veer standing there with pleading and apologetic eyes. She deliberately ignored the plea in his eyes and indicated with her hand to the Dasis to leave her and Veer alone. The immediately left and as they left, she turned her bow and arrow towards Veer and aimed at his heart.

"Ananya, I am sorry..I," Veer began but was cut short as a sudden arrow approached his heart but he easily stopped it in his hands and the arrow's tip was only an inch away from his heart.

"So much anger..that today..you were going to kill me with this sweet arrow.." Veer smiled at her teasingly and kissed the tip of the arrow. Ananya glared at him with angry eyes and approached him and grabbed his collars, the exact way Rajkumari Sia had to Dharam.

"You will definitely pay for this late arrival!" Ananya vowed looking at him in the eye. Veer gazed at her half veiled face and into her dark deep and vivid black eyes.

"Ananya, I am sorry, but I just happen to bring this gold dagger for you, which you desperately wanted.." Veer lied not telling her actual reason for his late arrival.

"Lie! Another lie! Veer, you cannot fool Ananya. I know you were sleeping like always!" Ananya glared into his mischievous eyes still not loosening her grip. As he pulled the dagger in front of his eyes, she left her grip and grabbed the dagger out of his hands.

"I feel like stabbing this dagger in your chest!" she stated holding the dagger tightly. Veer walked up to her and bent and sat on his knee.

"I am ready to die for you, Ananya.." Veer said coolly stretching his arms apart. That touched, Ananya's heart and she slowly bent down and embraced him tight.

Veer also returned the embrace and sighed as the fragrance of her perfume was inhaled by him..

Migration - Veer meets Mohini

After Veer had bid goodbye to Ananya and her father, Veer had been galloping back to Niphaud to collect Dharam and then they both should return back to Aryanagar. As the wind gushed his hair back, Veer recalled all the beautiful moments with Ananya. Should Ma know about Ananya, he thought as his horse suddenly stopped and lifted it's two front feet and slowly placed them down.

Veer immediately clicked out of his thoughts and spotted another horse standing opposite to his with a girl who had jewellery and a shiny princess outfit.

"Are you blind? Mine and your horse were about to collide!" the girl had screamed holding the reins of her horse. Veer had never seen such girl who had so much attitude..she hadn't stopped her horse either and was pinning the blame on him..

"I'm sorry about that, I just seemed to have lost in my thoughts," Veer replied calmly making his horse stand to a side so he could let the girl proceed but instead she stood there waiting and staring at his handsome face.

Mohini had never seen such polite and decent person as him who was taking the blame rather than her who was the equal in for the blame. Veer couldn't stand a girl looking at him with such surprise so decided to finish the silence.

"What is your name and are you a Rajkumari?" Veer questioned a slight line on his forehead as he had no interest for the plain and loathsome looking girl and on top of that she had a bad habit of staring.

"My name is Rajkumari Mohini and I am a Rajkumari of Sumaina," Mohini finally replied looking stiff but inside she was feel joyous as the boy had interest in her. "But, who are you and why are you coming from the direction of the Godhwar palace?"

Veer thought for a second..should he tell this girl about his real identity..maybe not. "I am Shambo from the palace of Aryanagar..and I had some important work in Godhwar but why are you heading for that direction?" Veer enquired looking a bit tense that a girl should not travel alone.

"I am going there to meet Rajkumari Ananya.." Mohini revealed smiling and looking in the direction of the palace eagerly to tell her about this handsome Shramik boy who was actually a Rajkumar and an Aryavarta. "Are you a Shramik worker?"

"I am not..I mean..yes! I am a Shramik worker," Veer quickly said looking excited because he nearly spat out his identity. Mohini looked suspiciously at him and looked at his outfit.

"But why are you so excited about being a Shramik and why are you dressed as if you are an Aryavarta?" Mohini demanded placing her pale hands on her small waist.

"I..I..just succeeded in some mission and I am happy and..and.." Veer stammered looking a bit angry and confused at the cleverness of the girl. He quickly changed the topic. "You know, you shouldn't travel alone, what if something happens to you?"

Mohini was fascinated by his care and she forgot all about it until Veer heard the galloping of a horse nearby and knew Dharam was coming to collect him. He turned his horse and raced off from where the direction Mohini had come. Mohini turned her horse and watched him go and wondered the mysterious behaviour by him.

Godhwar - The Palace - Ananya's Balcony

"Ananya!" cried a familiar voice from behind. Ananya swung round to see Mohini standing in the doorway with a sparkling shine in her eyes. She was as happy as she was when last Ananya had seen her.

"Mohini! It's so nice to see you! I thought we'd never meet!" cried Ananya as Mohini rushed at her for a hug. "I missed you, Mohini, days and nights, I missed your laughter and mischievousness!"

"Oh, me too, Ananya, but there is something very interesting, I want to tell you!" expressed Mohini releasing Ananya from her hug. "Oh Ananya, I am in love!"

"In love? With who, Mohini?" Ananya grabbed her by the elbow and made her face her. She looked in her deep eyes with her small and narrow ones. "Is he a Rajkumar?"

"No, that's the problem..Shambo's not a Rajkumar, instead he is a Shramik.." Mohini poured out sadly leaning against the railing and staring down at the flowers. "But, so what if he is a Shramik..I have the full freedom to fall in love with anyone.."

"Yes, you do, Mohini. But..if this Shambo is a Shramik, how did you meet him?" Ananya asked looking puzzled and innocent. Mohini laughed and swung her by the arms of her.

"Destiny made us meet! It was all planned, me and Shambo to meet, fall in love and then a proposal," blushed Mohini releasing Ananya and letting the wind kiss her hard and straight cheeks.

"But will your father allow you to marry a Shramik boy?" Ananya asked worriedly and the smile immediately wiped off Mohini's face. She sighed and leaned back again.

"He will not ever allow me, but...if Shambo loves me and I love him, then we will run away to somewhere else, or I will come and live in Aryanagar with you and Veer.." Mohini grunted teasing Ananya as she received a punch in the arm.

Godhwar - The Boundries

"Dharam, let's go! I just had a very hard time with this ugly princess.." Veer blabbered stopping his horse and catching his breath.

"Veer, don't be so rude. Which princess did you meet?" Dharam asked grinning.

"Err..what was her name again..? Ah, yes! Rajkumari Mohini from Sumaina.." Veer recalled watching Dharam's expressions suddenly change.

"Rajkumari Mohini?" Dharam claimed looking serious and pulling him by the arm. "Veer, that's the Rajkumari, Bua, was talking about yesterday. She wants you and her to meet.."

"What? Meet, for what?" Veer screamed looking angry and turning his hands into fists.

"Marriage.." Dharam whispered coolly knowing how Veer would react.

"Marriage! Dharam, I can't stand her for two seconds and marriage is just simply off the question..I cannot think about anyone than Ananya..and she knows Ananya too," Veer blabbered angrily finally opening his fists as he remembered Ananya's smile.

"She knows Rajkumari Ananya? Rajkumari Ananya would kill you and her if she found out, that you betray her.." Dharam predicted finally starting his horse to move at a snail's pace. Veer nodded and made his horse walk beside Dharam's.

Aryanagar - The Palace - Aryawardhan's Chamber

"Bhaiya, I was thinking that we should now start Veer and Dharam's marriage proposal discussion with Mohini and Sanvi's parents," Nivitiri urged sitting beside Aryawardhan on the couch.

"I know about, Rajkumari Mohini but who is Rajkumari Sanvi?" Aryawardhan questioned looking up from writing the scroll.

"Bhaiya, Rajkumari Sanvi is the princess of Awadhi. She is a perfect Rajkumari for Dharam," Nivitiri smiled at remembering Sanvi's beauty. "And Rajkumari Mohini is the princess of Sumaina and she is also perfect for Veer, she will change Veer into an independent Rajkumar.."

Aryawardhan nodded and placed the feather in the ink pot. He rolled up the two scrolls and handed it to a soldier close by. "Take these scrolls to the addressed place..and bring me back a reply.."

The soldier bowed and took off immediately. Aryawardhan turned to Nivitiri and patted her.

"I have sent off the scrolls to Awadhi and Sumaina and if they agree, Dharam and Veer shall marry Sanvi and Mohini," Aryawardhan smiled and walked off to do his pooja followed by Nivitiri.

Migration - Sanvi and Mohini arrive

"Dharam, Veer! Oh thank god, you both have arrived safely..where were you two?" Nivitiri Maa asked stepping forward towards them and looking at them in the eye. "I heard you both went somewhere outside, Aryanagar? Is it true?"

Dharam and Veer immediately nodded and looked at the marble tile as their guilty faces shone brightly at them.

"Well, where did you go?" she demanded with seriousness hoping they had not gone to Niphaud or Godhwar as both those cities were rivals to Aryanagar. Dharam and Veer knew if they said Niphaud and Godhwar, they would have to listen to a long lecture.

"Ma, we went to Sumaina and Awadhi," blabbered Veer quickly as those two places had come up in his mind first. He looked up at Dharam who was glaring angrily at him. Then they looked at Nivitiri who looked more than impressed.

"Sumaina and Awadhi? You went there to see the Rajkumaris?" Nivitiri once again questioned. Dharam and Veer immediately nodded as they were desperate to get out of this situation.

"Bhaiya! Bhaiya! Dharam and Veer have already met Mohini and Sanvi so it won't be a problem for them to marry them! Bhaiya, come quickly!" Nivitiri exclaimed happily as Aryawardhan slowly proceeded them.

"Marry?" cried Dharam and Veer together staring blankly at Nivitiri. She nodded and smiled taking a step forward and looking into their confused eyeballs.

"Bhaiya and I, have fixed your marriage, Dharam, with Rajkumari Sanvi from Awadhi and Veer, your with Rajkumari Mohini from Sumaina," Nivitiri Maa revealed stroking their cheeks.

"But..but.." Veer spluttered as Aryawardhan squeezed him and Dharam in a hug. Then the Aarti was done and finally Veer and Dharam found peace alone as they sat in Dharam's chamber not knowing what to do.

Aryanagar - The Palace - Dharam's Chamber

"Veer, they are arriving tomorrow..and the marriage is two days after..I heard the King of Awadhi and Sumaina both wanted the marriage done as fast as possible.." Dharam sighed sitting on the couch and staring ahead at Veer who stood beside the table.

"No, Dharam! I cannot marry anyone apart from Ananya. Even you know that, my life relies on her existence and here, I am getting married to that Mohini.." Veer snapped angrily tipping over the vase.

"Veer, we can't do anything..the news must've reached to Niphaud and Godhwar..by now and there would be only hatred in their heart for us.." Dharam whispered in the verge of tears.

"Veer, Dharam? What are you both doing down here? Come downstairs, Rajkumari Sanvi and Mohini are about to arrive.." Nivitiri announced. Dharam and Veer stared at their mother, then at each other.

"But, weren't they arriving tomorrow?" Veer questioned. Nivitiri nodded.

"But, they planned to come earlier so we allowed them to. Come on..both of you.." Nivitiri answered leaving a puzzled and upset Dharam and an angry and fuming Veer.

Niphaud - The Palace - Sia's Chamber

"Dharam!" screamed Sia sitting on her knees on the floor with tears streaming down her cheeks. She had been abandoned by her own love and she could not do anything about it. "Why, Dharam! Why did you cheat me! Why?" Sia roared and buried her face in a Dasi's shoulder.

"Rajkumari Sia, please, control yourself.." Dasi reassured. Sia took off her shoulder and stood up grabbed a small knife.

"I can't control myself! I can't live without Dharam! And, if he leaves me..I'll kill myself!" Sia screamed cutting her hand vein and immediately fainting.

"Maharaj! Maharaj! Rajkumari Sia..cut her vein! Maharaj! Vaidji! Vaidji!" the Dasi had screamed and Sia had not heard anything after that. Everything after that went pitch black...

After a few minutes...

"Ah.." Sia complained holding her wrist where she had placed a cut. She looked up at the old Vaid who sat staring at her, and her father who stood behind with many Dasis.

"Sia, my child!" cried the Maharaj reaching for her and kissing her forehead. "Beti, why did you do this? Why?"

"I..done it by mistake.." Sia stammered leaning back with tension ready for a slap. Instead the Maharaj just scolded her telling her to be a bit more careful.

Godhwar - The Palace - Dining Room

"Why isn't Ananya eating with us?" asked the King who sat on his chair with his platter filled with many dishes. A Dasi stepped forward.

"Maharaj, Rajkumari Ananya said she is not feeling quite well and therefore she doesn't feel like having a meal.." the Dasi revealed when suddenly a voice spoke up.

"Pitajee, I am here..and I am fine.." Ananya spoke from behind numbly, her eyes all red, her face pale and she looked utterly weak.

"Ah, sit down Ananya..today it's your favourite dishes.." The King smiled pointing to her chair as she obediently sat down. A Dasi came forward and placed a Mango pickle in her platter and whispered.

"Rajkumari Ananya, this is your favourite Mango pickle from Aryanagar just the way you like..and those lentils are finally grown in Aryanagar and they are.."

Ananya immediately threw her platter to the floor where it landed beside the Dasi's feet. "Take this disgusting food away! I never ever want to hear the name of Aryanagar in this palace again!"

"Rajkumari Ananya!" The Maharaj cried pointing to the food. "Look, at the mess you made and the food you wasted!"

"Pitajee, I hate Aryanagar and it's people and everything related to it!" Ananya roared sprinting to her feet and avoiding the mess and running to her chamber leaving everyone puzzled.
