Nandini(fumbled)—I mean …main…mera matlab tha ki…

Raj—ahh I got it….didn't I said…sahi baat ek hi baar mein samajh aa jati hai …& trust me I wud prefer ki tum yeh galti karti raho…(nandini blushed) ab samajh aaya tum yahi kehne aayi thi…pehle bata diya hota…

Nandini(trying to defend)—errm nahi main toh…main… suhana ko lunch ke liye pick karne aayi thi…

Raj(pretended to be heartbroken)—aww …mera dil tod diya… mujhe khush karne ke liye jooth hi keh diya hota …

Nandini (smiled)—jab sach sunkar khush ho toh jooth bolkar khush karne ki kya zarut hai…

Raj(coming closer)—who toh hai…waise…can I kiss to know if its for real… (coming more closer) pata chala yeh mera sapna hua toh…

Nandini(looked around they were almost in middle of road …pushed him back lightly)—Rajj….

Raj(Laughed)—now I am 100% sure yeh sapna nahi hai…

Nandini(confused) matlab?

Raj(teasing)—haan …kyunki tumne mujhe mana kiya… sapna hota toh u wud have…

Nandini—Rajj…

Raj—wat Rajj?…mera kehne ka matlab tha…ki sapne mein meri har baat asani se maan jati ho… warna tumhe convince karne ki kitni mehnat karni padti hai…😆😆

Nandini –aur tum convince kar hi lete ho…

Nandini (shocked…pushed him a little)— toh jao, usiko convince karo…dats so mean of u…

Raj(smiled)—& I love to be mean…aur jab tum convince hogayi ho…toh usse convince karne ki kya zarut hai…

Raj(interrupted)—I know I am too good…

Nandini—modesty toh koi tumse seekhe… anyways ab main chalu…too hungry for lunch…

Raj(excited)—haan chalo chalte hai…after all its celebration time…

Nandini(stopping him since he was almost ready to leave)—tum kahan chal rahe ho?

Raj—lunch pe…abhi tumne toh kaha…

Nandini—haan par…who main aur suhana ja rahe the lunch pe…wonder madam ke 5min kab khatam hoge… (she tried her number to call her)

Raj—who toh aur bhi acha she is busy…toh ab hum dono chalenge…don't tell me …ab bhi saath chalne mein problem hai…?

Nandini(laughed)—mujhe nahi par shayad tumhe problem hogi…(seeing Raj's confused look teased him) shayad tum busy the …tumhe uncle se baat karne jana tha…

Raj(he had almost forgot abt it)—OMG…dad se shanaya ke launch ki baat karni thi…but no worries shanaya baat kar legi…she will manage…hum chalte hai…& (when he was interrupted by his phone it was Dad) …he tried to convince him that he will talk later…(nandini indicated him to say yes) ji dad main aata hoon… (sighed)

Nandini—ab jao…& mujhe bhi jaane do..aur rahi baat saath lunch ki… toh hum lunch pe baad mein bhi ja sakte hai…(Laughed)I am not running away… 😆😆

Raj(pulled her closer)—tumhare case mein can't take risk… tumhara bharosa nahi hai…kya pata apna faisla badal lo…mera toh band baj jayega na…😆😆😆 tumhe manane ki saari mehnat dobara karni padegi…😆😆

Nandini(seriously) –nahi badlega…bahut mushkil yeh faisla liya hai…shayad mere liye yeh zindagi ka sabse muskil faisla tha…(paused) mujhe humesha lagta tha ki main agar koshish karu toh tumse door reh sakti hoon…par guess I was wrong…shayad itne waqt saath rehne ke baad tumhare saath ki adat hogayi hai…pichle kuch dino se tum mujhse door rahe toh kahi na kahin ek dar lagne laga…shayad (paused) shayad main tumhe kho rahi hoon … Yeh tum bhi jante ho.. ek naye rishte ko apna na mere liye kitna mushkil hoga…par usse bhi mushkil ek aur kaam hai(she looked at him) tumhe khone ka darr… is baat ka darr ki koi aur tumhari zindagi mein aa sakta hai.. (she got a little teary too)

Raj(interrupted)--tum bhi na… (wiped her tears) zara si baat par serious hogayi…& tumhe lagta hai agar ab tum apna decision badalna chaho toh main badalne dunga…main sirf mazak kar raha tha…(to lighten) & u are right hum lunch pe kabhi bhi ja sakte hai… so aaj lunch nahi toh dinner pe chalte hai…wat say?

Nandini(teasing)—I wonder tum aaj dinner par bhi chal paoge? …shanaya will keep u busy 😆😆😆…(laughed)

Raj(irritated)—ek toh tum meri taang khichna band karo…😛 ek tum hi bachi thi…already she is pain 😆😆

Nandini—sorry… but seriously 2-3 din ki toh baat hai …tumhe jahan jana hai launch ke baad chalenge…

Raj(sighed)—guess that wud be better…

Nandini—ab main chalu…& madam suhana uske 5min khatam nahi ho rahe let me call her…(she was abt to call)

Raj stopped her—rehne do main upar hi ja raha hoon…will send her…or better tum saath chalo upar…dats good idea chalo…(took her along)

Back upstairs Suhana-Arjun were at each other …😆😆😆 actually arjun had seen Raj leaving to talk to nandini so he tried to stop her from going down to nandini…😆😆

Raj-nandini tried to separate both of them & made them calm down…Nandini almost had to drag suhana from there to take her out …😆😆

Three days later

Shanaya got busy after launching her store …she didn't required much of Raj's help…which was a relief for Raj…infact great relief😆😆😆

Raj had planned to take nandini out for dinner today …Raj had kept the destination a surprise…As he drove…

Nandini—hum kahan ja rahe hai…😕😕

Raj—tum yeh fourth time pooch rahi ho…& my answer remains same…pahunchne pe pata chal jayega…😆😆

Nandini—par fir bhi…😕

Raj—don't worry …kahin bhaga ke nahi le ja raha…

Nandini—Raj…(smacked him)though wud love too 😆😆😆

After almost half an hour drive they reached the place…Nandini was surprised to see it was the same place where they had first met …where she had refused for marriage …it was the open air restaurant...there was a woodern gazebo …covered with white and red drapes and a path of red roses leading up to it. She just stared at it with her mouth open… she felt it was a complete different place…

Raj—chale? (she just nodded)

As he seated Nandini down at the small round table inside, set up for a candlenight dinner. There was soft music playing in the background…adding to the ambience.

Nandini: Raj…yeh sab…tum

Raj—matlab tum jagah pehchan gayi…😉😆

Nandini—ermm yeahh…par yahan kyun?

Raj(smiled)—aise hi… nothing special bas kafi dinon se yahan nahi aaya isliye…(mumbled) us din ke baad its only today… anyways dinner ke liye aaye hai toh …lets eat.


After dinner...dessert came…Nandini asked for it second time coz it was seriously yummy… Raj smiled coz she really looked a child cutely eating the desert…


Raj (thinks): Haiii…. …itni pyaari muskaan dekh kar…jee chahta hai ke abhi tumhe yahaan se bhaga ke lejao.😆😆😆 (seeing her finishing off ) aur chaiye (she refused…Clearing his throat) ermm main…I have bought something for u …(handing her small box)

Nandini: Isski kya zaroorat hai? 😕

Raj: Zaroorat hai…atleast aaj ka din yaad toh rahega… so kholo toh sahi. 😃😃

She opened the pouch and found a really beautiful rose shaped pendant and chain.

Raj: I wanted to give u something special today….taaki tum hamesha yaad rakho. I now how much u like flowers …yeh kabhi murjhaega bhi nahi... 😆😆

Nandini—Raj par main…I mean…I can't accept this…aise…aur phir…

Raj—I think is jagah mein koi problem hai…😆😆 this place is jinxed 😆😆😆 tumhe yaha lana nahi chaiye tha…

Nandini—huh?😕

Raj got up from his seat and put the necklace around her neck.

She touched the necklace around her neck. When she saw Raj put his hand out to her…she looked up

Raj: Dance?😳😳

Nandini--…mein dance? … tumhe pata hai mujhe dance nahi aata..

Raj (holding her hand…pulled her up gently): I know…& mujhe bhi nahi aata…😆😆 but wats the big deal …hume kaunsa competition mein dance karna hai… that we have to be the best 😆😆 bura bhi karenge toh kaun dekhne wala hai ...no1 is gona judge us 😆😆

Nandini(laughed) —tum aur tumhare logics…😆😆

Raj (Holding her close …he gently moved to the music…holding her hand at first…but then let go and wrapped both arms snuggly around her)

Nandini looked down.. and tried to remove this hand from her face, but he held on. She tried not to look at him…but the close proximity made her and he moved even closer. He wanted to say what he had decided to but he didn't want to make her feel that it was going to fast… he knew it wouldn't be right just yet….he didn't want to upset her in anyway. ..Somewhere he felt she might withdraw herself back again…

Nandini (pushed away a little) – ermm chale?

Coming few weeks passed on like a dream for both of them…😃😃 though it was understood that their relation has moved forward …but still there were moments where Raj felt Nandini was holding herself back…

That was the reason he hadn't disclosed the confession to any1 …even to her mom…coz he knew once he told her she wud be upto him for marriage😆😆😆 …& he didn't want nandini to feel that she was being forced or pressurised for marriage….He knew its just a matter of time whenever the moment comes this time Nandini will not refuse…till then he will take care of Mr.Dixit & Rohan.

2 months later…

Its Nandini's bday… she had never celebrated her bday as she didn't felt the need…since childhood she had a feeling that neither mr.dixit nor her mother were happy about her…so there is no need of celebrating a day which is not a moment of happiness for her own parents…

Every year Jai used to try to convince her that she shud celebrate it …but she being the stubborn she is…she refused…

Around evening she sat in her room pretended to be reading a book when she was lost in her own thots…Raj had asked her to be ready as he wants her to come along to one of his business party he is attending since he will get bored there… also she was happy that Raj doesn't remember her bday since he hadn't wished her since morning…though he had called her morning…their daily routine of talk in morning …

She was sitting in her room when Raj barged in almost scaring her…making her jump…😆😆

Raj—tum abhi tak taiyaar nahi hui..😕

Nandini—Rajj….tum ek din mujhe heart attack doge… humesha dara dete ho…😕😆

Raj(laughed)—ab tum dar jati ho…toh main kya karu😆😆 …anyways topic change mat karo…tum taiyaar kyun nahi hui…tumhe 7pm ka bola tha…its almost 6…& tum ladkiyon taiyaar hone mein bhi time lagta hai…😆😆

Nandini—ohh!! Tumhe bada experience hai… tumne research ki hogi na…

Raj—haan ki hai… 😆😆 itni GFs jo thi meri... ab tum meri research galat prove karo aur 30 min ….nahi 15 min mein taiyaar hokar aayo…

Nandini(was not much eager to go)—Raj par…mujhe nahi jana…I am too tired…&…ghar pe bhi koi nahi hai…& mamu aane wale honge unka dinner…&

Raj(sighed)—aur koi bahana sochna hai toh soch lo…(seeing Nandini abt to say something) coz main who bhi nahi sunne wala…tum chalo…ready ho kar aao…

Nandini—Raj par main…

Raj—Mujhe kuch sunai nahi de raha…😆😆 & I am waiting outside…

Nandini sighed it is impossible to argue with him…😆😆

At the party…

Nandini had been almost blank when she came to know that it was her bday party…she was wished by everyone whole of Raj's family & ofcourse her family …she still whined that there was no need of such a big party …

As everyone mingled after wishing her…It was only Jai,her & Raj…

Jai—mujhse complain karne ki zarut nahi hai…jisne party rakhi hai usse bol…

Raj(pretended to be scared)—dats not fair jai bhaiyaa aapne mana kiya tha aap nandini ko secret nahi batayenge…

Jai—toh tu chahta hai ki yeh mera murder karde…😆😆😆 maine tujhe pehle hi warn kiya tha…ki isse pooche bina party mat rakho…so now keep me out of this…(he left from there)

Raj (sheepishly)—ermm main…😛maine kuch nahi kiya...idea ofcourse mera tha…but…😕

Nandini—I knew idea tumhara hi ho sakta hai…kyunki sirf tumhe hi nahi pata tha…ki aaj tak maine bday celebrate nahi kiya…shayad batana bhool gayi… but seriously yeh sab karne ki zarut nahi thi…(she was a little emotional)

Raj (coming closer) —zarurat thi…tumhe yeh batane ke liye ki shayad tumhara bday tumhare liye important na ho…par tumse jude logon ke liye hai…😃😃 sirf isliye ki tumhe lagta hai ki Mr. dixit ko tum pasand nahi ho…tum un logon khush hone ka mauka na do…jo sach mein tumhare unke zindagi mein aane se khush hai😃😃 …just see sab kitne khush hai…tume sirf ek insaan ki nafrat dikhai di par itne logon ka pyaar nahi & yeh sab chahte ki who is din ko celebrate kare jab tum unki zindagi mein khushiyan ban kar aayi… (to lighten)aur waise bhi is baar toh celebrate karna aur bhi zaruri tha…inke saath tumhara last bday jo hai…😉😉

She tried to talk to Raj but whenever she was abt to talk to him she was interrupted by someone or other who came to wish her…

Nandini(turned back)—nahi main who…

Raj—I know mujhe hi dhund rahi thi…after all itni der tak door jo tha tumse…must be missing me…

Nandini—Rajj…(pausing) need to talk to u …tum abhi kuch nahi karoge…main…

Raj—arre tumne khud hi toh kaha tumhe official proposal chaiye…& since yeh tumhara bday gift hai toh yeh toh tumhe milega…

Nandini—haan maine kaha tha par…(trying to make him understand) Raj atleast mujhe sabse baat toh karne do…unhe aise achanak pata chalega…toh kahin aisa na lage ki maine unse kuch chupaya…aur tum mujhse aaj nahi baad mein poocho mera jawab toh same hi rahega…

Charu interrupted them.—di chale sab wait kar rahe hain…

A large cake was wheeled in on a trolley and put before Nandini ….As she cut the cake was subject to more cheering and wishing. After she fed all her family members… Raj who was standing close by… came upto her as she fed him kissed her on the cheek wishing her Happy Birthday…😳😳

Nandini smiled… she turned to feed to suhana…& others… when lights were off surprising everyone…

The tune from piano filled in….

Raj (down on his knees)—will you Marry me? 😳😉

Nandini almost had tears in her eyes…😭😭 too overhelmed to speak … cudn't belive Raj went all the way …to propose when she had just said abt official proposal just to tease him…😆😆 didn't knew he will go all the way & take it seriously…😆😆 .she knew it even if Raj hadn't did all this she wud have YES to him with or without official proposal…

Raj(seeing her getting lost)—kya hua…don't tell me u are planning to make me sit like this whole life… mujhe back pain hojayega 😕... ya tumne decision change kar diya…shadi karni hai na?😕😆

Nandini (tears flowing)—Yes…

Raj is over the moon... laughing too… quickly slipped the ring …getting up wiped her tears & hugged her tightly….

They came back to reality when everyone started clapping …. & they separated…Jai came upto them …Nandini was apprehensive abt his reaction & for all her family members …

Jai(hugged her)—congratulations…so happy for you…😃😃

Nandini –aap naraaz toh nahi hai…

Jai(laughed)—kisliye...😆 isliye ki tune Raj ko "haan kaha" 😆😆 in dat case agar Na kehti toh shayad main naraaz hota 😆😆

Nandini—main aapko batane wali thi…😕

All family members came to congratulated them…

Suhana—didn't knew teri first bday party pe itna acha surprise milega…(so happy for u…hugged her)… 🤗

After official proposal😆😆 ….A formal engagement ceremony was decided few days later …where the wedding date wud also be decided …& no one was happier than Raj …. 😳😆

Today after lunch Raj was supposed to go shopping with Nandini…since morning he had been busy in meeting …after meeting spent rest of the morning so that he cud finish work asap… 😆

Raj was in his cabin engrossed in some work… when….some1 barged into Raj's office….
