Part 14

I went back to the office.

Everyone seemed to be engrossed in their own work. No one acknowledged the fact that their boss wasn't present.

Strange. Were they accustomed to their boss' absence?

I went to the cabin and searched the drawers rather unashamedly. As though it was my cabin and I had full right to do as my heart pleased.

Nothing. There was no trace of any information where the trio along with their secretaries had disappeared.

Was Riddhima a con artist too?

There was no hint in her cabin to prove that she was the CEO and lived almost 10 hrs a day in the cabin. Like a perfect con artist who left no trace of his works.

I chuckled at the thought of Riddhima being a con artist. Imagine Riddhima going place to place,conning people. Her beauty will do most of her work. She only has to ask the person to do what she wants. And any man would not blink twice to obey her orders.

Man. Is it necessary she has to con men?

There are plenty wealthy women too who can be conned easily. Riddhima's brains will do the work there.

I shook my head. Why am I thinking about all this?

I left the office.

I drove to her house.

Her car wasn't there. Nor was Atul's and Muskaan's. Then there was no point about going inside.

I turned back.

Dejected. I hadn't found anything.

The next day...

Riddhima was there today. Dot on time.

I went and greeted her,

"Good morning ma'am."

"Good morning Armaan!" She replied rather cheerfully.

"Ma'am you seem to be in a very happy mood today."

"Yeah. Yesterday we had to go to...oh sorry Armaan about yesterday. I know I should have informed you but it all happened in such hurry..."

She went on apologizing, not even giving me a chance to accept her apology.

I chuckled at that.

She heard me chuckling and raised an eyebrow,

"Armaan, I'm apologizing and you are chuckling?"

"Actually ma'am you are apologizing from the last 5 minutes. You haven't given me a chance to even accept or reject your apology."

"Hawwww! You are going to reject my apology?"

Hunh? Did she just say "hawww"? I thought girls did that only on T.V.

"Anyways, I know you won't reject my apology."

Presumptious?

"Actually, we had to leae for Lonavala immediately. Some issues. Therefore we asked Lucy, Tyler and Steffi to look after the meetings and etc. schedule we were supposed to attend. I thought not to disturb you since you all must be very tired. Anyways the issues are solved now and....we are back."

"As for now, Armaan my uncle-aunty want to meet you all."

"Sorry?"

"Umm, my uncle-aunty, you know the ones who were with Nikita on her birthday want to meet you, Anjali and Rahul." She said slowly.

"Why?"

"No idea. Maybe to meet you casually. They were asking about you three. You three seem to have impressed everyone." She said and then blushed.

BLUSHED??????? Riddhima Gupta just blushed? What for?

Okay, we impressed everyone but then... whats the need to blush? [kachua kahin ka. Itna bhi nahi samajhta?] 😆

"Oh..um, ok. So when should we meet them?"

"Tomorrow, 7pm? Have dinner with us."

"I'll ask Anjie, I mean Anjali and Rahul about their schedules and then shall I let you know?"

"Don't worry about them. You don't have any problem right? You will come na?" She asked with hopeful eyes.

"Ye....yeah. Sure." I gulped.

Whoo...... what was that?

And why are her uncle-aunty eager to meet us?

And why us? Okay we impressed them, but I still don't get idea.

"Yo buddy! Got the news?" Rahul slapped my back.

"Hmm. So...what are we to do now?"

"Of course, go and meet them. Why? What are you thinking?" Anjie asked.

"I don't get it. Why do they want to meet us? And why dinner and all?"

"Armaan, they are impressed by us..."

"Yes Anjie, I know that. But still, this seems weird. I don't get it. My gut feeling says that this isn't the reason and there is something more. Something is going to happen. Good or bad, I'm not sure."

This alerted them both. Coz my gut feelings always been right.

Again a short part. But it was necessary coz some mysteries are going to revealed in the next part and the to-be-detectives can give their all-the-time-working brains some rest.

But I love it when you all play detective-detective. Coz then I can hire some in my agency. Plenty of vacancy. What say?

But keep guessing till the FF ends. Coz agar kuch sahi nikla I'll change my storyline itself.😆😉
