Neela.. first of all sorry for not commenting for the previous 2 updates... but I really loved the way, Mayank's character has been shaped up... and Nupur being Nupz.. I loved it when she talks to her dadima about her marriage.. and then in the 3rd update:- the way she sets the mehfil for the shayrana andaz to just ooze out... Too Good!!

I have always loved MN in any form.. this form.. too I love them... Now waiting for the update when Nupur comes to know that Mayank is the owner of the diary..

~~~~~~~~~~~~Part 4: Secret is out or is it? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A typical day in university…Nupur has just come out of her class and its break time now. She is sitting with her friends, Diya, Annie and CJ, in the cafeteria. They are having their usual chit chat when Samrat shows up…

S: hey girls…how are you?
A: Hi Samrat! kaise ho?
S: I am absolutely fine.

Whilst Annie is talking to Sammy, Nupur whispers to Diya..

N: Yeh kaun hai?
D: Yeh hai Samrat urf Sammy. Hum ek hi college me parte the aur ab ek hi university. kaafi dil phek kisim ka larka hai.

Sammy notices Nupur and Diya whispering amongst themselves. He looks at them and says:

S: kyun girls..meri hi baat ho rahi hai na? (winks at Diya and forwards his hand towards Nupur)..hi I am Sammy.
N: hi..I am Nupur (but she avoids shaking his hands)

Sammy grabs a chair and sits with them. So Diya, university life kaisi chal rahi hai. Nupur gets up..

N: Divya…hum cold drink order kar rahe hai. tumhe kuch chahiye?
S: I will have a pepsi…
N: aap se nahi poocha…pepsi chahiye to khud lekar aao and she walks away
S: (at Diya) bap re, yeh toofan mail hai kaun? and suddenly he notices the notebook 'Qayenaat'. arre yeh book??
D: Nupur ki hai…kyun?
S: nahi…hergiz nahi. yeh book usski nahi hai.

He grabs it from the table when Diya holds his hands

D: rakkho isse niche. yeh Nupur ki hai
S: oye…main keh raha hoon na yeh Nupur ki nahi hai. main isse le jaa raha hoon.
D: Sammy, isse haath mat lagana. Yeh Nupur ke liye bohat keemti hai…usse bohat bura lagega.

Nupur arrives at the scene and Diya quickly informs her of the situation

D: Nupur dekho Sammy tumhara notebook leke jaa raha hai
N: kyun? tum mere notebook ko haath kyun laga rahe ho?
S: kyunki yeh notebook tumhari nahi hai
N: (she begins to strutter a bit) meri nahi hai matlab? kisne kaha? aur agar meri nahi hai to kiski hai? tumhara?
S: arre nahi…mera kyun hone laga?

and then he spots Mayank entering the cafe. He shouts at Mayank and waves him to come join them.

S: Mayank…yeh dekho (pointing towards the notebook). ab do mujhe yeh book.
N: arre…tumhe kyun de bhai? abhi abhi to kaha tumne k book tumhari nahi hai
S: haan..meri nahi hai per…

Mayank instantly stops him.

M: Samrat…kyun bechare freshers ko tang kar rahe ho? rehne do…bohat ho chuka. yeh inhi ki notebook hai…hamesha isse lekar ghumti hai…maine dekha hai.
S: (Sammy is shocked) Mayank..yeh tum…
M: (stops him again) arrre Diya, tumhe to pata hai na Samrat ko hamesha shararte sujhti rehti hai. (Looking at Nupur) sorry…Samrat ki taraf se. kaisi hai aap?
N: jee…thik hai
M:yeh kitaab lagta hai bohat azeez hai aapko, hai na?
N: jee…

Mayank smiles and takes Sammy with him.

S: Mayank..yeh sab kya tha? yeh to tumhari hi notebook hai na? issi ko tum pichle 3/4 dino se paghlon ki tarha dhoondh rahe ho aur ab mil gaya to …?
M: (smiles again) tum nahi samjhoge. filhal iss book ko Nupur k paas hi rehne do. dekhte hai aage kya hota hai.
S: magar ussne jhoot kyun kaha k yeh usski notebook hai? aur tumne mujhe kuch bataane bhi nahi diya!
M: chhodo yaar…kya farq parta hai. baad me milta hoon..ok?

And he walks away whilst Samrat is standing there completely lost and confused.

Next Week…the cultural week of the university has been announced. Various activities are taking place and students are being invited to join. Annie came rushing to Nupur that day..

A: Nupur maine tumhara naam submit kar diya…shayeri ki contest ke liye
N: kyaaaaa?? Nooooo!!!
A: arre hamari class me se tumse behter aur kaun hoga sher o shayeri me. aur kitne log hai jo tumhare poems ki tareef karte hai. tum definitely win karogi.
CJ: ab aaya ooth pahar k niche
D: CJ…tum apna mu bandh karoge kya?
A: kya hua? maine kuch ghalat kar diya kya?
D: nahi Annie…bohat accha kiya. ab tum jao
N: (sits down at the stairs) yeh to accha musibat hai yaar. mazaak mazaak me baat bohat bigar gayi hai. ab to poori university ke saamne beizzat hona parega
D: dekh Nupur, now its too late to back out. Annie ne ab tak to poora university me khabar pheila chuki hogi k tum participate kar rahi ho. ermm..tum fiker kyun karte ho. tumhari qayenaat hai na? wahan se ek accha sa poem select karke parle na sab ke saamne…as usual.
N: lagta hai ab yehi karna parega (she is not very happy about it though)
