Hi guys I'm back with more of our favourite Jodi our Dufford couple SANRAJ!
Sanraj story continues from the
Part 22 - Confessions of the Unspoken Hearts - Pg67
and here goes.................

DM's EYES SEARCH FOR HIS SANTUDI
DM feels a breeze come through the window and travels and touches his body which makes him shiver. He puts his hand on to this chest moving it about feeling and then feeling the left side of the bed searching to hold on to his love and feel the warmth of her body to brush off on to him, he moves his leg over to feel the softness of her legs but nothing but the sheet of the bed. DM turns to look to the side disappointed Santu is not there but then his eyes catches the photo smiling back at him on the dressingtable thinking she'll be sitting at the chair combing her long silky hair and getting ready 😍 DM smiles back and thinks "where has my jann gone without kissing me good morning and hugging me to get up, she knows that my eyes look to see her before I closed them at night with the stars and then my eyes look to see her when I wake up with the sun? Santudi must be in the bathroom". 20mins pass, still no sign of Santu and noise coming from the bathroom nor her humming? DM gets up and streaches and walks towards the bathroom and knocks on the door.
DM: Mari Santudi, jaldi, meih undar ow
(my Santudi, hurry up, can I come in?) DM hears no answer and opens the door and walks in but no Santu, the bathroom has been cleaned and ther is hot water ready in the bath together with a towel and his clothes on a hanger hanging on the door. He quickly brushes his teeth and shaves, he was about to get into the bath when he thought....
DM walks into the bedroom, Santu has already put his newspaper together with freshly picked flowers in the vase on the tea table. The fragrance of the flowers travels to his nose and he wonders where is Santu and why didn't she wake me its already 8.00am? DM walks out of his room and into Suraj's room, thats where she will be getting Suraj ready for school, he walks in and his eyes scan the room but no sign on Santu, Suraj is still asleep 🥱 with his teddy cuddled up to his face, DM goes over and sits next to Suraj and brushes his hair with his hand.
DM: Suraj, uttow beta, School ki Vacht.
Suraj: I don't want to go to School.
DM: Get up and get ready, I will take you to School today. Have you seen your Maa?
Suraj: Neih Pappa, Pappa can I stay home and I will look after Maa as you have to go to the Factory to work?
DM:: DM laughs 😆 No you go to Schoolt, Thoral, Nani and Champa will look after Maa.
Suraj: Ok Pappa, I will go to School.
DM: Quickly get ready and kya bolti??? Su...su..supr...SUPRISE...ha Suprise Maa.
Suraj gets up and jumps up and down on his bed shouting he is up and will surprise Maa 😃 by getting ready all by himself today. He jumps off the bed and runs into the bathroom.
DM: Direh, don't run or you will fall!
DM gets up and goes into Birwa's room who is ready in her school uniform and platting her bunches, DM looks around the room...
DM: Birwa
Birwa: Morning Pappa, Pappa, can you tie my ribbon, Maa usually does it but today I thought I would do it but it doesn't look right.
DM: Aj ja...
DM knots the ribbons and ties it up into bows.
DM: Has your Maa come in here this morning?
Birwa: Ha Pappa, she woke me up and then went and have not seen her since.
DM: Ok, come downstairs in 20mins for breakfast. Oh I was thinking, if you or Suraj need any help with your homework or anything, ask me or Hiten or Moulik, ok.
Birwa: Thank you Pappa.
DM: Welcome, welcome! 😊
DM walks towards Baa and Bapuji's room, knocks on the door and peeps around, Bapuji is sitting at the rocking chair reading the newspaper and looks up.
Bapuji: Dharamraj undar ow.
DM: Bapuji Khem chu?
Bapuji: Ek dom first class!
DM: Bapuji, Baa kya or Santudi neih dehka?
Bapuji: Dharamraj, this is the time to leave your wife and get some few quiet minutes to yourself before the nagging starts.
DM sits there listening to Bapuji nodding his head thinking my Santudi never nags, she does talk alot but he likes that and he likes it alot when they talk and get ready together in the mornings 😍
DM: No, I just had some important work for Santu but it can wait.
Bapuji: I understand....missing Santu??
Bapuji says looking over his newpaper with his glasses at the tip of his nose.
DM: Neih, neih, I'm not missing Santudi, I wanted her to sew a button on my kurta, forget it.
DM walks out and Bapuji waves DM good bye, goes back to reading whilst shaking his head...
Bapuji: Dharamraj, Tu Kevi Dufford? 😆
DM walks down the stair, eyes scanning the hall, sitting area and the dinning area and spots Champakali at the table sorting out the table.
DM: Champakali, Santudi ko dehka?
Champa: Neih Malik, I just come from home.
DM: Tickcheh.
DM walks outside towards the aangan and sees Baa at the Tulsi Plant praying, he walks over and prays next to Baa and takes blessings. Baas eyes are closed and feeling his presence gives her blessing...
Baa: Looking for Santuri?
DM: Neih kyu?
Baa: You seem restless and lost this morning?
DM: I'm not lost, I just wanted to come and say good morning.
Baa: Good Morning.
DM looks up to the balcony and around the area and finally looking at Baa with disatisfaction spread across his face
Baa: Aur kuch?
DM: Neih tu!
Baa: Go inside and bring me my glasses, they are in your library.
Baa says this sternly and DM looks at Baa thinking "Whats up with Baa?" 😕 DM now walking past the kitchen and walks back looking in and seeing Thoral at the stove frying eggs.
Thoral: Morning Pappa, today I have made breakfast, french toast, fried eggs....kya Pappa itney udas kyu? are you looking for Sassumaa?
DM: Ha...na...I'm looking for Baa's glasses, you carry on, Baa said her glasses are in the library, I'll go check.
DM walks out the kitchen and thinks Santudi is no where to be seen, where is she, she never goes without waking me up, she hasn't gone to the Mandhir without speaking to me and I said I will take her since she is now expecting she is nearly in her 4th month and its my responsibility to make sure she gets to her destinations safe and sound. Shes not with Suraj or Birwa, shes not with Baa, Thoral or Champa, where is she??? DM walks towards his library, opens the door and with his sad eyes he sees Santu sitting up on his stage looking at a book. His sad eyes start to dance with joy and pleasure 😃 and just for a moment he sits down on the chair watching his Bandini turning and reading the pages. The year Santu spent in Prison whilst DM fought her case, Santu learnt to read and write a little, the basics but still had a lot to learn. DM gets up and walks slowly up the tiny staircase and sits down next to her, his eyes watching and waiting for her to notice him as she was in a world of her own and his gazing upon her Santu could feel DM's aura around the room and now had come next to her 😳
Santu: Malik, your awake, you wait here and I'll get your tea.
DM: Bhess, bhess, bhess (sit) what is my Jann thinking about?
Santu: I was just thinking, I know you will always look after me and take care of me but I wanted to ask....
DM: Tell me.
Santu: I want to be able to look after you, our children, Baa and Bapuji but I need to be able to read and write proplerly. I know a bit but still, I have this fear inside of me, what if there is an emergency and your not here or you need my help, what will I do? I remember back to when Jugmohan attacked you and you got sicker because I couldn't give you the right medicine, I couldn't even give you any medicine because I couldn't read, what if I had given you the wrong medicine??
Santu becomes upset with tears 😭 escaping from her eyes and running down her cheeks, DM understoond as he remembers the incident and especially when Moti was yelling and taunting Santu which he did not like and he moved closer hugging Santu, wiping her face and tenderly kissing her on her cheeks ☺️ He looks down at her and ask her to look at him by lifting her face to him so their eyes meet eachother.
DM: This is why your upset, I will teach you hindi/gujrati and Thoral and Birwa will teach you english, happy?
Santu nods her head and kisses him on the cheek ☺️ DM smiles and says...
DM: Ahhhh, this is what I have been waiting for since I woke up. Anything troubling you or any problems, tell me, don't sit and worry or I will sit and worry about you hmmm?
Santu: Ha Malik but if I learn english, will you learn also?
DM: Meih?
Santu: Ha Malik, we should learn together, reading and writing in english is important and if you know english then your work will be 100% easier as alot of your clients and associates are foreign/english and it will make your life stress free and you dont have to rely on Hiten or Moulik to translate for and to you.
DM smiles and twirls his moochi nodding his head in agreement, his dufford is not soo much a dufford but she is his clever lovely dufford. He rubs his nose on Santu's nose and puts his arms around her, Santu lets out a pleasurable laugh and Baa walks in smiling with mischief in her eyes 😉
Baa: Ey Dharamraj, what is this, I have been waiting for ages! Ah I understand and I see, you found what YOUR eyes were searching for, what about my eyes????
DM: Found what IM looking for? 😕
Santu: Baa what are you looking for I will help you.
Baa: Santu my glasses but your husband was supposed to bring me my glasses but he got distracted his eyes caught what his eyes fancied and after that he forgot everything, so I'll have to come get them myself or I'll be waiting for the next year from what I am seeing 😉
DM: 😲 Whatever comes to your mind you say it without thinking!
Baa: What did I say wrong? Ey Santuri, your Dharamraj has been mopping around looking for you, making excuses that he is not looking for you, Dharamraj tu bi na!
DM: Ha, ha, ha, I was looking for Santudi, now I'll get back to getting ready and I'll see you at breakfast!
DM embarrassed at Baa's teasing, gets up, stomps down the stairs and leaves....
DM: I live in a house full of women, too much and mad woman who talks too much, Tu kush Baa, you got what you wanted?
Baa: Baa Kush, Tu Ja!
(I'm happy, you go!) Baa giggles and blows DM a kiss and Santu can't keep it in longer and laughs as well, DM turns round and looks at Santu laughing, happy 😊 with the vision and leaves to get ready. Suraj, Birwa and Hiten come to the Library to call everyone to breakfast.
Suraj: Maa, Pappa is looking for you and he told me to get ready by myself to surprise you.
Birwa: Pappa came into my room looking for you and he tied my ribbons.
Hiten: Maa, you don't need to do any work Pappa will do it 😆
Thoral: Sassumaa there you are, Pappa came to the kitchen looking for you and Hiten!!!!! learn something from Pappa, he is always thinking about Santu, doing things and surprises 😍 When was the last time you surprised me. Pappa is dashing and you...
Hiten: 😲 Uhhhhhhh!
Baa: Ha, your dufford Pappa looks after your Maa well but he forgets everyone else
laughing Thoral smacks Hiten on the arm looking at him crossly and Hiten rubs his arms and looks questionly to Thoral 😕
Hiten: What, what did I do?
Thoral: Exactly, what did you do! 😡
Thoral walks off rambling to herself, Hiten following behind apologising for what he does not know 😕 Suraj and Birwa laughing watching Hiten thinking its the funniest scene like a old married couple and Baa holds Santu's hand and they make their way to dinning room, DM comes down the stairs dressed and pulls out a chair for Santu to sit down next to him and they all start breakfast with the usual happy chattings and cute arguements going on both SANRAJ look at eachother happily 😳
