"Sabke liye ek news hai!" Gayatri said coming to the middle of the locker room when everyone was taking out their things with sleepy looks and yawning faces. "Aaj sham humari didi ki engagement hai!" Before she could complete Sam came forward and picked her up twirling her around.

"Aaj Su ki engagement hai! Amazing' lekin usne mujhe pehle kyun nahi bataya?" Sam said putting Gayatri down just when his phone rang. "Su!" He said with a smile and went out to take the call.

"Toh hum keh rahe the ki aap sabko aana hai."

"Sorry Gayatri aaj mere cousin brother ki bhi engagement hai, toh mai toh nahi aa paunga." Yuvi took out his coat and looked back at Gayatri. Naina looked at him with a questioning gaze but he just shrugged his shoulders as he went out.

"Meri bhi ek family friend ki engagement hai aaj so even I can't come." Sid said while Sam who had just came back gave him a questioning look. "Sam tu nahi chalga kya?"

"Kahan?"

"Sukriti didi ki engagement hai aaj. Dr. Shashank ne kal call kiya tha."

"Sukriti didi' Cheeni's sister?"

"Yep."

"Not possible. Maine Su ko promise kiya tha."

"Who's Su?"

"Gayatri's elder sister' she was our senior in school. She's a friend of mine. Tu Sukriti didi ko meri taraf se sorry bol diyo!" Sam went out after talking to Sid.

"I'm sorry Gayatri'" Sid went out after his brother but Gayatri kept on smiling.

"Drish ajeeb baat nahi hai, ek hi din teen alag alag logon ki engagement me hum me se koi na koi ja raha hai?" Naina said as she, Drish and Sam walked towards their OPD duty.

"Teen nahi do." Sam corrected her.

"Matlab?" Naina looked highly confused when told her whole story from A to Z.

"Siddhant!" Dr. Shashank greeted Sid who came just on time to 'help' out with the preparations. Even though Cheeni, his childhood best friend, had left the town with her sister when she was seven he was still very close to her parents who happened to be his father's friend. Cheeni was his best friend and Sam made a trio with them whenever he was in town but he hated to share her with anyone. After she went he always felt alone before meeting the duo. He promised himself he'll never let them go away from him like she had.

"Namastey Uncle!" Sid bent down to touch his feet. He wore a simple white kurta on a pair on blue jeans with a red odhni. "Didi aur Cheeni kahan hai?"

"Dono room me hai change kar rahe hai'"

"Oh'" Sid started helping with the decorations when the doorbell rang. "Uncle mai dekhta hu!" Sid stopped Dr. Shashank who was going to open the door. He found Sam and the gang minus Yuvi standing there. "Sam!"

"Hey bro!"

"Sam tum log toh Gayatri ki sister ki engagement me ja rahe the na?" The gang came in while Sid still looked confused.

"Vaheen toh aaye hai bhai!"

"Sameer!" Dr. Shashank came forward to hug him.

"Hello uncle." The twins greeted him. They knew him ever since Armaan did his internship from Sanjeevani.

"Uncle Gayatri kahan hai?" Sam asked looking around.

"Vo upar hai Sukriti ke saath'" They all looked up when they heard a sound of anklets chinking to see Gayatri coming down the stairs with another girl dressed in a heavy red saari while she herself was elegantly dressed in a yellow embroidered lehenga. Sid looked at her mesmerizing beauty. "Lo vo aa gayi' Cheeni!"

"Hey Su!" Sam hugged her.

"Su!" Naina said hugging her.

"Hey Naina how do you know Su?" Sam asked.

"Su AB ke saath Sanjeevani me intern thi. Bhabhs-AB-Su-AJ-Anjie were a gang."

"Tum Raj ko bhul rahi ho'"

"Raj bada yaad aa raha hai? Don't forget aaj tumhari engagement hai. Aaj kisi aur se bandh jaogi!"

"Kyun nahi aayenge' vo hi toh humare hone waale jiju!" Gayatri teased while Sid was still gazing at her.

"Vo' Raj' that tharki?" Naina exclaimed earning a whack from Su.

"Don't you dare call him tharki!"

"Su' yaad hai vo pub waala incident!" Drish teased.

"That was sudden' he doesn't drink that much!"

"Hua kya tha?" Sam was getting irritated for not being included.

"Inke internship ke final exam ke baad hum sab pub gaye the. Su and AB were busy in some usual heavy flirting. Raj was getting jealous I think' toh usne itna drink kiya ki vo bilkul hosh me nahi tha. Vapas aate hue vo jhoom raha tha' AB ko use chodne jaana pada tha. Ever since AB teased him by calling him tharki." Naina narrated the story while everyone laughed and Su went red. Sid was still staring at Gayatri who looked at him once. She knew her secret was out.

"Cheeni, Aarti ki thali saja di? Vo log bas aane hi vale honge." Her mother ordered as she passed them.

"Bas abhi karti hu." Gayatri said and left from there.

"Gayatri is Cheeni'" Sid finally said.

"Of course you idiot. Yaad hai jab mai aaya tha tab usne mujhe kuch bola tha kaan me? She said ki you haven't recognized her and she wanted you to recognize her." Sam whacked his brother.

"Vo aaj bhi yehi keh rahi thi ki she was disappointed tum khud use nahi pehchaan paye!" Su said with a smile.

"Cheeni is Gayatri!" Sid was still wondering as everyone rolled their eyes.

"Sid bhaiya yeh baat toh ab hum bhi jaan gaye!" Farhan said.

"Didi vo kahaan hai?"

"Pooja vale kamre me'" Sid ran to the place indicated by Su while everyone laughed behind him. She sat there in front of the small temple in the worship place of the Mahant household. She was busy preparing the thali as her open hair kept on falling in front of her.

"Cheeni!" Sid was about to enter the temple.

"Ruko!" Gayatri looked from the aarti ki thaali she was preparing. "Joote utar ke aao." Sid took off his shoes while Gayatri went back to her work. He sat nearby her and was about to touch the flowers when she whacked his hand. "Tumne abhi apne joote chuye hai so don't touch anything here!"

"Tumne mujhe bataya kyun nahi ki tum hi Cheeni ho?"

"I wanted you to recognize me yourself."

"I'm sorry'"

"Lekin aaj Didi se baat karne ke baad hume laga hum galat the. Hume mile 15 saal se zyada ho gaye hai. Tum hume kaise pehchaante?"

"Lekin mujhe tumhe pehchaanna chahiye tha."

"Tum hume nahi pehchaan paate Sid."

"Tum kaise keh sakti ho?"

"Aaj bhi hum tumhe tumse zyada jaante hai Sid." Gayatri got up from there with the thaali leaving Sid behind smiling to himself.

The groom's side had come and Gayatri was running towards the door when Su called her.

"Naina yeh pakado." She handed Naina who was passing by and ran. Naina tried to stop her but she ran away so she went to the door waiting for the groom to come to the door.

"Bro I'm telling you ek baar aur soch lo' yeh shaadi vaadi ka chakkar bhol jao!" Yuvi stood with his cousin brother near the car outside the girl's house waiting for the other cars to come.

"Yuvi stop it or I'll hit you and it'll hurt bad. Yaar hum dono ek hi naam share karte hai lekin ek bhi similarity nahi hai tujhme aur mujhme!"

"You're wrong. Thi' jab tak aap bhabhi se nahi mile the, tab tak hum ek jaise the!"

"Maasi ko bola tha tujhe mere saath na bheje' par nahi!" Raj rolled his eyes as he saw the other cars approaching.

"Aapke dost ne bhi bola tha'"

"Ammy ki bhi shaadi ho gayi beta! Ek saal pehle!"

"What!? Ek aur is suli par chad gaya!" Yuvi followed his brother inside rolling his eyes.

"Yuvi shut up or I'll surely punch you this time!" Raj looked at him with an annoyed look but he was looking elsewhere. He followed his gaze and it stopped at the girl standing there with a thali who too was looking at Yuvi with the same look.

"Naina?"

"Yuvi'"

"Raj'" Raj found the two glaring at him. "Kya' tum log ek doosre ka naam le rahe the, bas mera naam bacha tha toh maine le liya!" Raj said while everyone on both the sides joined the three.

"Naina beta Gayatri kahan hai?" Gayatri's mother asked her.

"Pata nahi aunty'"

"Time nikal raha hai' tum hi aarti kar do."

"Par aunty'"

"Beta saali aarti karti hai' Gayatri ki tarah tum bhi toh Sukriti ki behen ho." She nuged as Naina started doing the aarti still gazing at Yuvi. Sid who was standing beside her moved her hands to position them correctly since the thali was facing more towards Yuvi than Raj while the gang snickered behind them when Naina went red.
