Chapter - 15

Nupur went back home after an hour. She was very happy for Mayank but at the very same time, she knew she would really miss him and therefore did not want him to go. However, when Gunjan came to know about Mayank's leaving for the recruitement . . she was very happy to know that Mayank's gonna get that big an opportunity. 🤗

Later that day, Nupur called up Mayank . . according to the plan. 😆

Nupur: Mayank!!!!!!
Mayank: Nupur!!!! Kya hua? 🤣
Nupur: Shut up!! 😡 Mujhe bahut darr lag raha hai . . 😕
Mayank: Kis baat ka darr? 😲
Nupur: Light chali gayi hai . . Dia . . Nani . . koi bhi ghar pe nahi hai . . tu aaja na please. 😔
Mayank: I'll be there in ten minutes. 😊

Mayank hurriedely went up to Nupur's place. He left his books aside irresepctive of the fact that he had an exam the very next day! 😳

On th other hand . . just after Mayank left . . Gunjan and gang came and with Mr. Mehra's help . . got completely engrossed in the party's arrangement.

Nupur was peacefully reading a novel and listening to soft romantic songs! 😳 Just then . . the current actually went off . . she was dreadfuly scared... 😆 "MAYANKKK!" she screamed out of fear. "Main aa gaya!" Mayank screamed back. 😆 Nupur struggled to find him . . the lights went off . . she couldn't see anything. She moved forth to find her cell but couldn't. "Wait up . . main aata hu tere paas." Mayank said and went close to her. Mayank turned on the torch in his cell and said, "Maha darpok namuni!" 🤣

Nupur: Namuna tu! 😡
Mayank: Haan, namuni ka dost namuna. 😆

Mayank had held her hand tight and she was standing dead close to him. She could feel herself shivering. She could see his ever so cute dimples . . and they were enough to make her go weak on her knees. She wished she could cuddle him and play with his hair. 😆 She was deep in thought, Mayank still holding her . . it was all dark and all of a sudden, lighting occured. 😕 Nupur was so scared that out of an impulse, she hugged Mayank . . as tight as possible. 😳 "Dekha . . phir dar gayi!! BTW, I guess it'd rain now. And you love rains .. kyun darri hai itna!!" he said and hugged her back. 😉

Mayank was right, it started raining . . raining heavily . . it was 7:30 in the evening . . Mayank found out where the candles were and he lit em up. Nupur was less scared now. 😆

The current came. However, Mayank was still asked to stay back. 😆

Nupur: Mayank . . main bahar jaun?
Mayank: Jaa jaa .. bimaar hui toh dekh lena! 😡
Nupur: Nahi . . wo baarish . . 😕
Mayank: Malum hai malum hai . . jaa!

As soon as Mayank approved . . Nupur went out running in the rain . . . she simply loved rains. She behaved like a lil kid. 😳 She was screaming and dancing . .asking Mayank to come out . . though, he preffered staying inside looking at her and her kiddish acts. 😆 She closed her eyes, spread her hand wide and lifted her face up . . as each drop landed on her skin, she could feel it reach her heart and lessen the pain. She could feel the cold breeze touch her soul and turn it happy once again. A tear rolled down her cheek but due to the rain it went unnoticed.

Mayank came out . .

Mayank: Chal andar . . please . . enough . . you'll fall sick. 😊

Mayank and Nupur moved in . . Mayank gave Nupur a towel and ordered her to go inside her room and change. Nupur did as she was ordered to. She came out in a white off shoulder top and long skirt with her wet hair left loose. By then, Mayank had made some coffee for both the two. 😊 Mayank handed over the cup to Nupur and took his. They seated down, Nupur and Mayank sipped the coffe one after another and said together, "Cheeni Kum!!" 🤣

Within the next half an hour, the rain stopped . . Mayank's dad called him.

Mr. Mehra: Beta . . come back home. Bring Nupur along.
Mayank: Is there a prob dad? What's the matter?
Mr. Mehra: Tum jaldi aao beta.

He said and hung up leaving Mayank very very tensed. Mayank and Nupur left for his place as soon as he was done with the call.

Mayank was overwhelmed. 😊 He had moist eyes . . he hugged his Dad . . gave a big smile to Nupur and went up to Gunjan -

Mayank: Your plan?
Gunjan: Yeah baby! 😊

As soon as she said that, Mayank took her in his arms and hugged her as tight as ever. For the time being . . Nupur was left unnoticed but she was happy for her best friend.

After a week, Mayank's exams got over . . he was to leave for his recruitement camp. He went to Nupur's place to meet her.

Mayank entered her room. She was sitting in a corner with her legs crossed and a teddy bear in her hand. 😆 She was almost in tears at his sight.

Mayank: Meri shakal dekh ke rona aata hai teko? 😆
Nupur: Mat jaa na!

Mayank knew she was to say that. He went close to her and hugged her. "I'm gonna miss a LOT! But I need to go. It's important. Just a month." he said. 😊 "JUST A MONTH? ARE YOU MAD?" she screamed. "Can't help it." he replied. 😔

Mayank had another half an hour. During that time, Nupur told him what to do and what not to, she asked him to promise her he would take his meal on time . .would not take stress and call her up or at least text her everyday. 😆

Mayank: Aapki Raamkatha khatam ho gayi ho to main kuch bolun? 😆
Nupur: Aavashya!
Mayank: Ye dekh . . (Mayank took out an album from his bag and handed it over to her.)

Nupur went through the album. It was an album full of her pictures. From the first day she met Mayank to the day he gifted the album to her, it had all her sweet memories with him. Most of the pics were however, clicked without her being aware and those perhaps were the ones she liked the most. Here are some of the pictures . . .
