Chap 6-Part C
Seeing samrat and his mom huddled in a tight hug, Mayank races over and hug them both from the side coz he did not want to miss d warmth being generated by an adorable mother and a lovable friend. He looks up and thanks god for this beautiful moment which he would come to cherish till the end of his life as it has literally added glitters to the most precious and memorable of his life.
Benji and Dodo enter at that moment
Benji' eyes just become misty eyed seeing all the three wrapped in a tight hug. Knowing Samrat he knew that something special had just been unearthed here few minutes back and who can feel more happiness for a friend when his friend is bestowed with a gift he has been seeking all his life. He quickly wipes the happy tears from his face but the heartfelt smile still lingers on
Shilpa Aunty breaks the hug but Mayank still wants to bask in its moment of pure bliss. This moment had sealed an equation between him and samrat and enhanced the unspoken bond they have shared all along in multitudes and what better way to communicate the same than a heartfelt hug that not only d body can rejoice in but can also be felt by the subconscious feeling of one's heart
Dodo "excuse me guys, aunty……if u don't mind…(in a very polite tone) agar aap donon ka bharat milap scene kahtam ho gaya ho tho baraat ke liye ready ho jaaye ….(now screams rapidly in a hyper tone)….mujhe is baar late hoke ras malai ka third plate miss nahi karna hai…samaj gaye tum dono"
Uday unknowingly with his cranky talk breaks away any lingering tension in the atmosphere that was just in its peak sometime ago
Benji elbows him for his insensitive streak but aunty is kind to him
Shilp Aunty "zaroor beta …(ruffling his hair)…..n of course u guys have to eat and stay fit n fine warna mayank ki saaliyon se kaise bachoge"
Samrat, Mayank, Dodo n Benji in unison "saaliyon se"
Shilpa Aunty smiling indulgently "haan saaliyon se…..waise tum logon ko yeh pata bhi hai ki aaj mayank ki saaliyan uska jhoota churake shagun me paise lengi aur phir hi joote lautayengi??…agar tum ladke hoshiyar nahi rahoge to woh tumhe aram se chakma de jaayengi aur phir ladkiyon ke saamne jo haar jate hai , woh… (Doesn't complete it but gives them all a cheeky smile)
Samrat, Dodo and Benji "No way aunty"
Dodo (in a serious tone)" aunty kasam mai mujhe us har eke burger ki jise maine khaya hai , aaj mujhe gajar ka halwa khane ko mile na mile, kulfi chahe me zubaan se phisalke ander jaaye na jaaye,garam jalebi mere jeeb ko jalaye na jalaye, magar aaj hum un ladkiyaon se haar nahi manage"
Benji" haan aunty aaj mayank shaadi ke mandap me baite na baite magar hum uski saaliyon ke haath uske jhoote nahi lagne denge"
Samrat and Dodo and benji do a hi-fi
Mayank is an irritated voice" guys tum log shaayad meri shaadi ki baat kar rahe ho…..do I have a right to decide whether or not I want to get married (cheeky sarcastic grin pasted on his face)
Dodo "of course mayank….v give u full rights aur hum jaante hai ki tum apna aur hum boys ka self esteem khoke shaadi ke mandap me nahi baitoge…isliye we are with u in ur decision"
Benji elbows him again n dodo shouts in mock anger
Samrat intervenes "Mayank chill dude …aaj ki shaam hum boys ke naam hai ….firkar not dude those girls wont come newhere near ur shoes, now lets get ready before Ms nautanki comes in search of u and the whole morena gets to see a spectacle of a dulhan bringing a barat to dulha's house"
😆😆😆All burst out in a laughter and get together to help mayank out with his wedding attire
Scene shifts to Bhushan house
Some five girls are standing in a huddled manner and discussing something intensely
Slowly they break away
One of the girls is wearing a baby Pink Faux Georgette fish cut designed with beads, sequins, resham and stone worked booties scattered all over. The Border is adorned with heavily embroidered lace work. The lehenga is teamed up with same material embroidered blouse and light green color dupatta in lace and silver beads adorning the border and when she slowly turns around, her magical smile makes u hold your breathe and the contact lens cannot as well hide the depth and inherent beauty of her persona that shines and reaches out to who ever gets to glimpse her beauty and that's our atta girl gunjan
The other bubbly girl in d gang whose beauty speaks of a Diva factor is seen carrying a fascinating doubel shaded blue n green mixed gown, beautifully created on faux georgette fabric. Her entire gown is adorned with kundan, tikki, cutdana and stone embroidered motifs make it look more beautiful. And the pale green designer stole is enhancing the look of this dress totally as much as the Diva, our own Dia, carrying it is.
Both of them have a conspiratorial grin on their faces and so do the other three girls standing around them
Gunjan "ok girls rem, keep ur eyes wide open…yeh shehar ke ladke bahut smart hote hain, palak jhapakne se pehle yeh humhe bewakoof bana denge aur hum dekte rah jaayenge…aaj humhe inhe dikhana hai ki we small town girls r much smarter than them and we have to get shaguns' money from mayank jeeju at any cost…got it?
Dia "don't worry babes…..yeh ladke dikte smart hai magar ander se they r totally mushy and we can easily fool them over….n yep we girls r gonna get rich today….hope mayank is prepared to lose his wealth (with a wink in their direction)😉….all of them giggle exhibiting the clebration spirit that's totally in d air"
Somebody shouts from behind
"by god girls kuch paise humahre honeymoon ke liye chod dena…pata chala k itum ladkiyon ne use poori tarah se loot liya aur woh bhole ki humhe honeymoon morena ke jheel ke paas hi manana hai"
The girls turn around to reveal a beautiful blushing yet not so blushing bride –aka Nupur , in a wedding ensemble which included a Maroon color pure silk lehenga designed with sequins, resham, beads, zari and zardosi work all over. Same material heavily embroidered choli and leheriya printed embroidered dupatta completes the wedding trousseau. She is all decked up with kundan jewelery in maroon and gold combination and amidst all aunty's gift of the gold neckalce shines with the same love that's reflecting in the eyes of d beautiful bride, in eager anticipation of the biggest day of her life that's blooming slowly and serenely
The baarat finally reaches the bhushan's house.
Bui does the aarti of mayank, his mom n the pulls mayank's nose affectionately at which mayank wants to protest😡 but keeps quite looking at the crowd around him
Samrat "dude abhi se itna chid rahe ho….jab roz Ms Nautanki urf ur-son-to-be-wife Ms Nupur tumhara naak,kaan aur baal kheechengi toh kya karoge dude😆
Mayank mock angrily "samrat"
Samrat smiling "ok ok chill dude….dont let ur feathers get ruffled lest nupur gets to see ur true colors and runs away"😆
Mayank ignored him this time while Samrat n Benji do a hi-fi-
Mayank "hans lo hans lo….tumhari bhi baari aayegi tab dek lunga tum sab ko"
Benji"oh god mayank we cant wait for that day"😍
Dodo "guys tum log khali masti kar rahe ho aur mujhe idhar bekar me bakra banake is joote me phasa diya
Samrat n Benji in unison "shut up Uday"
Samrat " Uday agar tune phere hone tak apna mooh khola na, toh tera yeh mooh jalebi kya ek goont paani peene ke layak bhi nahi rahega…n then u can forget all about ur lovely mouth watering food"
Dodo "sam…aisa aaj bol diya hai phir kabhi mat kehna😭….un rasgullon ke liye hazaar jhoote ….When benji n samrat glare at him😡….i mean hazaar takleefen manzoor"
Bui "dulhe raja seedii pe hi khade rahna hai ya ander bhi aana hai"
As soon as they enter samrat's eyes imme scan the room around in a fast forward manner and rewinds it back the moment a sight hits his eyes n zooms the view to catch a glimpse of the angel smiling with girls around her. Just looking at her brings a heartfelt smile on his face. It's as if his heart had been waiting for this particular nazara from the moment they had departed yest night after saying silent bye's with their never-stopping-the-talking eyes
Right at that moment Gunjan turns around as if more by the strings that were pulling her subconsciously, to feast her eyes on the most beautiful human being present in the gathering today. Her heart oars at the sight that meets her eyes. If any one cared to notice them all they would be able to discern in their eyes is contentment that's derived by just sharing a glance with a person who brings utmost peace to ur soul *sigh*
Benji slightly jerks samrat "Dude aaj bhool mat jana….we have a bigger purpose today…toh u know thoda control me rahne ka….ahem..ahem.... I hope u understand ..n coughs lightly"
Samrat's cheeks color up in embarrassment. Inspite of knowing quite a good amount of it thankfully Benji never confronted him with what's happening between him and chashmish
Benji trying to ease samrat's discomfort out changes topic "waise aaj subah dia called n told me Princi asked me to call him back and when I called him, he informed that the interstate championship has been postponed by three months so we have more time to practice and no need to go to Bhopal from here and that we are to return as soon as the practice gets over which is by end of next week
Samrat is shocked that d time to let go chashmish was on the anvil and his heart almost skips a beat and cold sweat breaks out on his face and his face is a mirage of confused and lost expressions
Benji puts him out of turmoil seeing his anxiety "maine magar kah diya ki "sir abhi humhari training shuru hui hai, ladkiyon ko aur thoda waqt chahiye is liye aur thoda time lagega aane me. We will inform u as soon as the training is coming to an end but not before next few weeks after all u cant let Prof tripathi, ur friend down " 😉
For Samrat it was as if someone who had started stabbing his heart had changed his mind and withdrawn the weapon before any foreseeable damge can bedone.
For Benji it was an utter pleasure to watch the same face which was clouded by an unknown fear few second back, now without wasting even a second, transforming into a sight to behold with the smile reaching the eyes and washing away the last bit of confusion and fear and leaving trace only of hope
Samrat, before the smile cud dim, envelops Benji in a tight hug
Benji rejoices the warmth of the friend, given to him without asking for once, who means the world to him and is happy that this trip is turning out so beneficial for Samrat personally "Whoa dude…..hug toh mujhe tu aise kar raha hai jaise maine tounament postpone hone ki nahi balki tournament jeetne ki khabar sunayi ho"
Samrat does not say a word but just gives him a sheepish smile which was conveying what he wanted to without using the help of words
